Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ So Blue ❯ Is it Betrayal ( Chapter 23 )
~~~``` Chapter 23 ----Is It Betrayal?
Bulma hummed to herself as she diligently worked on her flyer's cockpit. She sat upside down in the comfy leather seat, her feet hanging in the air, her hair draped down like a waterfall, while her tongue was propped in the corner of her lips, twisting and turning with each twist and turn of the wires she twined together. She almost had this baby working and after that, it goes to the workers to reproduce it.
A smile soon broached her lips before a tiny giggle escaped. She shook her head reaching inside the compartment and pulling down the small battery box and plugging the two wires into the proper whole and sealing it tight. Her mind could not get out of the gutter!
She felt like a hormonal, gitty teenage girl who just fell in love with the quarterback of the football team. A small smirk came to her head, but instead of a quarterback, a King. Since the eclipses which had been three nights ago, Vegeta and her had consolidated their bond by joining in mating more then not a hundred times since. He had actually taken a day off after the eclipses and spent the whole day in bed with her, just making love, taking baths, feeding, grooming, and pleasing one another. Bulma could honestly say, it had never been so beautiful making love to him then it had been these past three days. They have been getting to know each other over again, and it was fascinating to see how much Vegeta had matured into a man. She had never noticed it before, but his logic and his vengeance, and his pride had taken a change, one she thought that would never happen. He grew up, and now his past did not affect him anymore.
Then again he could probably say the same thing about her. They both changed drastically since they were young, and surprising as it is, their feelings for one another also changed. They were stronger. Her body tingled at the thought of his hands, running through her hair as his lips caressed skin that had longed to be touched again. She smiled in her delight. She needed to find the time, they were suppose to meet for 'lunch' soon. Bulma giggled, shaking her head at how pathetic she was acting.
A tap on her foot however pulled her from her daydreams. She squeaked when she realized if she had continued to put that wire in that position she would have been electrocuted. Not a pretty sight. Bulma held out her hand for the person to help her which they instantly did pulling her from the hole to straddle the seat now that her legs were down. However her greeting smile vanished into a wide, fearful expression. But soon the anger easily replaced it, "What are you doing here?" She growled hurriedly rising from her seat and jumping down from the machine ready to yell to the guard to get in here.
"Woman, no." He growled, clasping his hand over her mouth, pulling her body tight to his back. He leaned down to whisper in her ear, "I am leaving soon enough, I just wanted to bid you farewell."
Bulma whipped out of his weak embrace, swinging around to glare at him, "Turles you will be killed if you are seen here. You have your farewell, now go." Her features relaxed for a moment, almost caught off guard as she saw the healing bruises covering his skin. His body appeared as if deprived of food. Vegeta had obviously placed him in a holding cell. But the beatings…Vegeta wasn't one to do that unless provoked into a sparring match. His hand softly brushed against her flushed cheek but the instant she felt it, Bulma yanked her head from his reach. Still with a hard unwavering voice, "Who did that to you?" His spandex was ripped in many places and it revealed many healing scars beneath it. He had no armor, no weapons, just boots. Not even gloves which exposed his worn and torn fingers, rough and beaten.
"That doesn't matter. I just came here wanting to know if this is what you want."
"Of course it is what I want!"
"No, not as that, love. I mean…Do you hate me so much as never wanting to see me again?"
Her features tightened, her eyes revealing nothing. But her human feelings of compassion were swirling inside of her making her feel weak. "I do not hate you Turles. But if never seeing you again meant Vegeta being with me, then the answer to your question is yes."
His head dropped, his hair disheveled and matted, hid his features only slightly. "Understood. Good-bye, my queen." He turned on his heal.
"Who did that to you, Turles? And answer me."
He turned his face slight to look at her from the corner of his eye, "The ways of war, my Lady. Nothing for you to worry of. Tell my brother what happened. I would not be able to handle the disgrace that would more then likely be seen upon his face." He began to walk away.
"Turles." He stalled again. "Thank you." She hesitated. "And. And. I'm sorry. If things had been different.--" He shook his head turning back to gaze at her once more allowing a small smirk to rise falsely on his features. She smiled in return but with a blink of an eye he vanished from sight. Bulma features jumped as her eyes searched wildly for his form but in result could not find him. She dropped her head and turned to take a look at the clock. She bit her lip and now dreaded that her and Vegeta had plans.
Vegeta stared with blank hard eyes at the man that now stood before him. The man that had excommunicated himself from his court. The man that had been secretly courting his daughter. The man that broke her heart. "What?" He asked as if pretending he hadn't heard what the Sayian had just asked.
"I would like to be shipped out on the next mission to Planet Yunor."
Vegeta felt his jaw drop mentally at the request but his features never faltered. "You know of the problems there?"
"Yes, sir."
"And why do you think I will send you?"
"Because I also know you are one step away from claiming victory and I am the strongest one to get the weapons there safe."
"Who told you this information?"
"My father." Vegeta sighed, resting his fist under his chin as he scrutinize the young child. Sending Kali was what he had thought of and hesitated of doing. A chance of survival were few and Radditz himself had secretly asked him to protect his son when out on missions together. But Kali was of age now and if he wanted to sign up for a mission he had no one to hold him back. He was about to reply, prepared with an excuse to say no when Kali spoke up. "Vegeta-sama, I need to leave here. Just for a while. That is all I ask. Please allow me."
Enlightened now, Vegeta sat back in his chair, "So you are running away?"
He dropped his head, wanting to ignore the piercing eyes. "No, yes… No…I…I don't know." His hands rose to run through his hair as his control seemed to slip to let rolls of distress fill the room. "I can do this, Vegeta-sama. And I will come back."
"Your father--"
Kali snapped his head up with venom, "He means nothing!" He barked. But as quickly as his anger rose it slowly faded and he sighed as if in apology. Kali lifted his head and stepped forward, "Do not deny me permission because of him. I am a warrior. I am powerful. Let me do what I can. I can get you that planet with no more lives being taken."
Vegeta bit the side of his cheek, gazing at the obvious desperate child. He was left in a very perplexing situation. Maybe he could take the back route of finding the reason for the man's despondency. "You are not doing this because of my daughter are you?"
His features did not roll back in shock, only to slightly crease with a burden of sadness, his eyes never looking away, "Then you know." With a firm nod, Kali dropped his head. "She hates me now."
"She will get over it. You did right."
Kali his eyes went to the windows for a moment, the suffering he was enduring could be felt by Vegeta by out of respect he said nothing. Swallowing hard before making his way up the three steps of the risen dais. Kali kneeled, "Allow me this chance, Lord."
After taking the pure sight of the black eyes, Vegeta found himself responding, "If you find yourself in a situation there, Kali. You call immediately. I will come myself and take you out. Do you understand? And that is an order, Kali."
"I understand, sir."
"Fine. You ship out in five hours."
"Thank you, Vegeta-sama." He shortly bowed only to stall. Vegeta raised an eyebrow at his hesitation. A closed fist held out to him suddenly and the king glanced down at it in question. "If you would. If I do not survive." Vegeta went to speak but Kali quickly cut in, "Could you give this to Bra?"
"Why can't you give it to her?"
Kali swallowed hard, and confusion set in on Vegeta's brows. "I can not face her. Ever."
"Kali--"
"Please Vegeta? That is all I ask. Do me this favor and I promise you, no more lives will be wasted."
"Not even yours?"
A small smile teased his lips, "I cannot promise you that."
Vegeta stared in Kali's young, reckless, innocent eyes, having gazed into these eyes since the boy was born. He had seen this child grow into a brilliant, compassionate, powerful man and had protected him and taught him the facts of life and the techniques to control that power that Radditz could not. And now he was sending this kid that was more then not his own child, to a planet where hundreds of others have been lost. Reluctantly he rose his hand, not believing he was condemning the only son he ever had experienced to absolute death. Kali set two little objects into his palm and nodded his thanks but Vegeta gripped his smaller hand, "I do not wish to go to Radditz and explain to him that I sent you to hell's gates, boy." Kali chuckled but did not nod that he understood. He bowed again and turned away.
Vegeta heard the doors slam and several minutes after which he had the will to look down into his palm. It was a gold ring and a small via-com. He almost got up to go after the kid but reluctantly stayed put, clenching his fist around the armchair in his distress.
~~~````
For the past two hours of their so called lunch, Vegeta had made no attempt to speak to her let alone seduce her to bed, not that she needed to be seduced. He just sat across from her barely eating, signing papers that needed to be signed and giving orders that were easily given. He didn't even make an effort to let his eyes fall upon her, instead he continued his inspection of the two gadgets that sat at the side of his empty plate. She had asked numerous times what was wrong but he just waved his hand as if dismissing it from importance. She will not go so far as to say that this did not anger her by his ignorance but she showed non of it, simply wondering, secretly, frighteningly wondering if he knew. And if he did or didn't, it made no matter. She had to tell him. "Vegeta." He did not look up nor did she expect him too, instead she just quickly continued before acting like she had not even said it when he suddenly gawked at her. "I have talked with Turles."
That one name had immediately caught his attention breaking him from his guilt. At first it had filled him with rage, but soon enough the pain of her betrayal shortly ate away at the demon of his Sayian instinct. His features fell from his shock to his emotionless façade and he met her sorrowful blue eyes with his hard blackness.
Bulma rose but his eyes did not follow her. She went up beside him, knelling down at his side and taking his hand in hers but he tore from her, rising from his chair and stalking to the window. She followed though keeping her distance. Vegeta was not one to know how to control his temper. He had never hit her but he had once before lashed out and it had frightened her, having never seen his eyes in such a blaze when directed at her. She had witnessed it many a time when Frieza still ruled but it had never been intended for her. "Vegeta, it was not my intention to talk with him but he came into my lab and would not allow me to go to a guard. He had just wanted to say goodbye. But I did not allow him to touch me. Please believe me." He didn't respond. His back strong and unfaltering, his head propped high as he gazed out at his cities below. But his ignorance did not soothe her in the least. It only added fuel to the fire that had been recently flourished once again. "Turn around and look at me. See the truth for yourself. I feel nothing for him. And I tell you that I've seen him not so you would send me back to Earth but so that you would realize I did not want you to believe I kept it from you as if some affair."
Vegeta knew her words to be true but so many questions that had gone unasked and unanswered for many weeks were now giving a full out attack on him, begging him to lower his pride enough to ask. To lower his fear enough. He turned her. Meeting her fiery blue eyes and it set an instant calm to see the blaze that for eighteen years been extinguished. "I believe you." He replied, though the tone in his voice was harsh and rash, never a tone he usually used with her. "But you lie to yourself and to me when you say you feel nothing for him. Before our bond had faded, I felt what you did. I knew of the affair long before I let myself believe it. And I knew, had it not been for the trip to Earth, you would be in his bed at this moment."
Vegeta knew he said wrong the moment her face widened in the apparent shock and insult. But he did nothing to reverse his words. He had meant them. And she was only angry that he knew it to be true. However, it was as if she then realized he was right. And her anger faded but not the hurt that his words had provoked. "Fine. If the truth is what you search for now then I will tell you all.--"
"No--"
"You will stay." She stalled him from his movement toward the door. "And you will listen." Her commanding tongue caused an dominating flick of thought to fly across his conscious. He crossed his arms stubbornly, cocking a brow as if saying, 'You and what army?' She ignored the look however and stepped closer caring not for the dangerous ground she was entering. "The truth Vegeta, is that yes, I feel for Turles. But it is not love. It is not what I feel for you. It is that of friendship. Something that a human woman such as myself needs. And it was denied to me for a long time. Turles gave me that. He was my strength. And he made me feel better about myself when you turned me away. He made me feel like a woman when you managed to make me feel less then insignificant. And he was there every time with a shoulder to cry on when you led me on false missions in search of my dead son. All of the places of which you should have been. I will not lie to you when I say I will not miss him. I miss him now. But in every second I am with you, he withers from my mind. But unlike you, I cannot just make everything important in my life be gone in an instant. It will take time. And a little time is all I ask. I do not think it is too much since I have given you nineteen years of it." She stalled for a moment. "And to alley your fears, mate. I never once slept with Turles. He touched me without my consent. But then again I was willing. I was willing for in my mind, it was your touch I was receiving." Straightening her poise and swallowing noticeably, she took a deep breath, "That is all I have to say."
Her unwavering brilliant eyes surrounded by the heated features of her beautiful pale complexion only deepened the depths of the vastness skies held within her orbs. He stepped to her, and without a reason of his own, he looped her arm around her, roughly pulled her to him, and crushed their lips together. Bulma though caught off guard eventually embraced his shoulders, her nails digging into his metal armor. She moaned and leaned in when he began to break off but soon came out of her reach and with a smirk present on his lips, "You speak too much."
"I always do." She panted, glancing down at his lips again, wishing to taste him once more. A smile broached her lips, and her eyes brightened considerably and upon seeing the amusement in his eyes, it was then she understood that this was his way of pardoning the event. "Does this mean off to Earth I do not go?"
He chuckled, his palms pressing harder against her back, "They will have to pry you from my dead fingers." He leaned in, gracing her lips with a soft, teasing, tantalizing kiss.
"King Vegeta!" The large door slammed to the wall making the couple almost jump out of each others arms. Both turned their heads to gaze at the very pregnant woman stomp into the royal dinning room, followed by the two guards that were supposed to keep all intruders out and a desperate Radditz. Vegeta said nothing as the woman came to a sudden stop in front of him, her hands propped on her hips glaring to the full extreme. If Vegeta hadn't known better he would have actually been a bit intimidated by the woman.
"Maddox!" Radditz growled stopping beside her but bowing to the king, "I am sorry, Lord for disturbing you."
"Yes, King Vegeta, we tired to stop her." Added in a guard as to save his hide but Vegeta held his hand to halt any further explanation. For the only last two minutes he had forgotten about Kali, but now it was here to be dealt with and he would not delay the storm any longer.
Maddox's took this as her allowance to speak though she really had nothing to say. What she really wanted to do was all ready in action. She instantly lifted her hand and with all her strength stuck Vegeta's cheek with her palm, mentally wincing at the pain but however proud as his head fell to the side. Vegeta had seen it, and allowed her to continue with it because in his eyes he deserved the treatment. "How dare you, Vegeta! I trusted you with my son and you sent him to his death! He is only twenty years old, he is just a baby!"
Radditz had had enough of her little tantrum. He couldn't believe her audacity. How dare she strike his king! She should be put to death for her outburst! Radditz gripped her arm, this time using his Sayian strength caring not if he was bruising her human skin. He pulled her to look at him, her glaring eyes shooting to him as if he was the one condemning his only son. He barred his teeth at her disobedience, "How dare you, woman! You will never treat the king with such disrespect, do you hear me!" He didn't wait for a reply, "It is an honor that our son was chosen for such a mission!"
"I am so sick of you Sayians and your fucking honor!" She bit back but her human speed couldn't witness the back hand that struck her face, causing her to fly a foot away and land roughly on her back.
Radditz did not care for the fact that he had just hit her with more strength then she possessed. He didn't care for the glistening eyes that glared at him, or the tears that fell for his mistreatment nor the blood the dripped from her broken lip. He barred his teeth, his tail flapping the air behind him, and his fists tightly clenched, "Never say that again, human. Or trust me, Maddox, I, myself will send you back to the Cold empire to be used like the whore you are." His eyes flicked over to the king as if mentally apologizing for him witnessing the humiliating scene but quickly turned out of the room, slamming the doors behind him.
Bulma bit her lip but slowly and carefully knelled down beside the weeping creature, gently placing her hand on the woman's shoulder. "Don't cry, Maddox. Radditz did not mean what he said. He was just angry. And we both know when Sayian men get angry they do very stupid stuff." A chocked laughed escaped the female's lips but it quickly became a weak sob. Her hand flew to her mouth to cover the loud sound that wished to escape. It was then that her mind brought a thought of her baby and it instantly dropped to her stomach as if making sure it was still there and soothing it with her touch. Bulma tucked some of the female's black hair behind her ear, lifting her face up to meet hers and smiled gently, wiping her tears away. "Radditz's loves you, Maddox, you know that. And he loves his son. Which is the reason for his anger, not you. He worries for Kali yet does not know how to show it. But you know this, correct?" Maddox nodded and smiled giving her thanks with the reflection of her eyes.
"He asked to leave." The dark voice quickly snapped the two women out of their private conversation to see Vegeta, still in the same spot and the same position but his eyes now connected with the pregnant woman. "I could do nothing to deny him."
With the help of Bulma, Maddox took to her feet, her fingers quickly adjusting all of her clothing and hair before she deeply bowed and stayed in that position for quite a few moments, "I apologize, my Lord. I was rash and wrong. My emotions run too high during pregnancy but it is still no excuse. Forgive me, King Vegeta."
Vegeta stared at her with a small smirk spreading to his lips, "I do believe that is the first time you have talked to me with respect."
She giggled in response but added, "Don't get used to it."
~~~~~~~~~````
Goten watched the young female as she numbly played with the small tendrils of grass while she laid upon her side toward him. They had been sitting out in the 'royal gardens' for the past hour now and being as young as he was, he truly was ready for some fun. But Bra was entirely too depressed about Kali's abuse and of his leaving two days prior. He needed to do something. Something to make her stop thinking of her lost lover and focus on him. A small wicked smile came to his lips. But he shook his head, darting his eyes away trying to get the sexual thoughts out of his head. It has been way too long since he's been in intimate contact with a woman. He was thinking like a fifteen year old hormonal kid. But then again. Maybe it might bring some wanted attention.
Goten looked back over, her eyes despondently gazing at the few strands of grass, her fingers teasingly touching it like wind. He reached over and tucked a few of her lavender hair behind her ear. She looked so much like Trunks sometimes. The pure skin. The high cheek bones. And the hair. But it was the eyes that always got him.
Goten rolled his eyes at his pathetic thoughts. He missed his brother so much that he actually thought this young one looked like him, which was absolutely impossible. He threw out the whole thought all together just wanting to get those eyes connected with his.
Without a second thought and with her eyes seemingly clueless as to his movement, Goten bent over and quickly grasped her lips with his, holding the side of her head with his palm, keeping her from pulling away as he slowly grazed her soft lips again and again.
He parted reluctantly, his stomach tied in knots, his eyes closed wanting to keep the pleasure he felt just from her kiss forever. Soon enough, he opened his eyes under a clouded haze, viewing her wide blue orbs staring completely shocked up at him. He gave her a small smile, "I have wanted to do that since the first time I saw you."
Bra couldn't find the words to respond. The smile, the eyes, the innocent features surrounded by his black mane just left her speechless and utterly thoughtless. And against a will of her own, she suddenly smashed her lips to his, her hands gripping his shoulders while his arms found her back, holding her up before gently allowing her to lay on the ground as he stretched over her. Their tongues fought savagely, without reason just a need. They breathed heavily through their noses, hands fisting around each other's shirts both afraid to move anything but their lips which open and closed with clumsy perfection. Goten laid his upper body on top of hers, feeling her swollen breasts crushed against his chest. He practically groaned at the thought.
After several minutes of drinking from one another, Goten slowly extracted his tongue, much against his will for she tasted so sweet. His lips lingered on hers, begging himself to continue but there is something he wanted to ask her. He rose from her lips though only an inch from her swollen, heaving mouth. His fingers gently brushed through her hair, tucking some behind her ear receiving a small smile. "Do you feel anything for me?" He whispered, his eyes falling down to her lips again before rising to her blue orbs.
Her hand slid from his shoulder to his cheek, fingertips gently smoothing across his skin, lowering to his lips. "You are so pure. Untainted by Sayian ways. You are gentle and kind and are so pleasant to be with. And yes, from the first moment I saw you, I felt something for you. But you must understand. Kali has my heart."
"But Kali has a wife now. He told you himself he can't be with you."
"My mind understands. But my heart refuses. It will take time for it to realize."
"Can I wait?"
Her lavender brows knit, "Wait?"
"Yes, wait for you to get over him so I can have you to myself."
Her eyes closed, her head dropping back against the grass, her hands falling from him. Goten stared down at her, his arms shaking slightly from his position and anxiety of the situation. He leaned down to gently scrape his lips across her throat feeling her swallow in response. He carried his small kisses up her neck, around her chin, across her cheek before gently landing a kiss upon her small nose. "What have I gotten myself into?" He heard her whisper.
Goten pulled his head from her though stayed above her actually liking the position. "What do you mean?"
She sighed, her eyes closed. "I mean. If I were to court you I would be back into the same hole I was in with Kali." Her eyes open catching his beautiful face. "It is against Sayian law for us to be together."
"Why?"
"Main one, you are not royalty. But the one I sure the court will be adamant about, is because we are both half-breeds. Half-breeds are not allowed to mate for if they have an offspring it will be too weak and too human to really survive on this planet."
"Then you can just come back to Earth with me."
She giggled at his playful ways but his face was stern making it look like he had meant it. But she humored him anyhow, "I cannot live on Earth. For I am a Princess of this world and the heir to the throne."
"Ok, I got an idea." He sat up, allowing her to lean up on her elbows. "What if you become Queen and change the law then we won't have a problem." Goten's brows knit as she outright laughed at him, rolling over on her side in her hysterics. "Hey, I don't see what's funny."
"I know and that's the best part." She cracked out, holding her stomach while cackled about. Goten having enough of her laughter, jumped on her, rolling around with her on the grass.
They ended up with her legs straddling his hips while she laid on top of him, her arms stretched out to hold her up. Goten smirked, his hands upon her slim waist. "I at least got you to stop laughing." Her lavender hair fell around her face and Goten could do nothing but stare at how beautiful she was. Her cheeks were flushed and eyes bluer then his home skies. It was impossible that such beauty existed. His fingers lifted to her cheek, fingers grazing it ever so lightly, "You are the most gorgeous creature I have ever seen."
Her smile faded, her eyes seemed less full of life became confused and so innocent. "How can you do that?" She whispered.
"Do what?"
"Look at me like you have never set eyes on me before." He had no response. Only that his hand moved to tangle in her hair and guide her down to his lips. They were soft and patience like he had all the time in the world to just taste her mouth and care not for anything else. Her hands came to his chest, slowly lifting herself reluctantly away. Her eyes closing not wanting to see the question when she dropped her head down upon his chest. "This cannot happen."
Goten sighed, letting his head fall back to stare up at the sky. He felt her rise off his hips, something that had recently been very arousing. He stared up at her dejected back, unwilling to face him. But soon a smile approached his lips. "Let's go do something fun."
Her body snapped around in surprise, stalling at the smile on his lips. "Fun?"
"Yeah, like swimming or something." Bra just stared at him for a few moments finding it fascinating that he could just be so…easy going.
