~~~~~~~~ Chapter -- Fate has a funny way…
Staring at her now was something his memory would never allow him to forget. Her hair swept up in a highly fashioned pony tail. More for commoners then for royalty but more then likely she had done it just to piss him off. It's not like it mattered now.
Her blue eyes glistened and tears fell from her pale cheeks but she smiled at him. “It's going to be so weird.” She admitted. “I haven't been around humans in over twenty years. I don't know if I'll make it.” She playfully stated trying to ease the tension between them, but Vegeta stared at her continuously nonetheless with the same emotionless expression but soft, depressed eyes. Bulma stepped to him, touching his chest, his plated armor, his gold `K` and tracing the letter `V'. She brought her eyes once again to him. “The fates may have won for now, Vegeta. But when we are not so beaten and our strength returns, we will be the ones laughing in our triumph.”
“Will it return?” He questioned harshly, but in a whisper.
Her face lightened and she looked upon him insulted at his insinuation. “Vegeta, I leave now but do not presume you have gotten rid of me forever.” She gripped his cheek and kissed his lips before resting her forehead down upon his. “Staying here will only cause me pain I am not ready to face yet. I only need a bit of time, and I promise, I will return. You know I can never stay away from you forever.”
“You are still mine, woman.” His hand rose to her neck, touching the mark that showed his devotion. “Never forget such.”
“I could never.” She whispered, kissing him again harshly, he quickly scooped her in his arms and crushed her to his chest, cherishing the feeling of it.
But he pulled back, panting against her open lips. “You should hate--”
She placed her fingers upon his lips, “Don't. It's not your fault. Do not blame yourself any longer. He would never. If anything it is my own--”
“We have made many mistakes, woman.” He cut her off not allowing to say such a lie.
She nodded and smiled, “And going too long on our guilt is what killed us in the first place. So let's start a new. That's why I must go away for awhile. So our mistakes can be lost in the past and when we see each other, all we want is what we wanted so many years ago. To be together.”
Vegeta grasped her lips one last time, tasting her tongue, savoring it, before pulling her away. “Go.” He ordered turning his back to her and heading toward the balcony.
Bulma stared at his back for only a moment, whispering her last good-bye then running out of the throne room knowing if she were to look back all her courage would be lost. She ran down the glass steps past the hundreds of Sayians that wished their farewell and met her daughter at the entrance where she waited with Goten and his family. She grasped her daughter's hand. “Are you sure this is what you want?”
“It is only for a little while.” She smiled looking over at Goten. “I would like to know so many things of our nature.”
“All right then. You said good-bye to your father right?”
Bra dropped her eyes and slowly shook her head. “He wishes not to see me. I remind him so much of Trunks.”
“Bra, please. Look at him.” She ordered forcing her daughter to glance up at the balcony that held her father standing strong, staring at her unfaltering. “Just say goodbye.”
Bra was hesitant but a quick look at her mate who nodded, she lifted off her feet. She flew over the crowds to land before her father who stared at her in confusion. But she had no words. She knew not what to say. No words she could comfort. He has not said one word to her for the past two months, since Trunks' real death. No matter how she wished it was different. He barely turned a glance her way.
But Vegeta gazed at her now, more lost then he had ever been before. And she could do nothing but rush into his arms and wrap him up in her own arms feeling him quickly do the same. “I love you, daddy.” She whispered into his ear, kissing his cheek and quickly pulling away and hurrying down to the ship, running inside without looking back.
Bulma smiled gently toward her husband, blew him a kiss and winked her humanly way smiling bright at the smirk she received. She waved to the Sayian loyalists hurrying inside with Goten's family. The massive ship started with a roar and slowly lifted off the ground but it soon found its way out of the atmosphere.
Vegeta looked to the sky, clenching his muscles to make him stay put. “Vegeta-sama?” Radditz questioned from behind and the King of the Universe nodded in response. Four ships filled with special elite soldiers started and quickly followed after the vassal that held the Queen. Never would she know she was going to be watched, monitored, and protected for all the times she would be on Earth. Stupid if she actually thought he would just let her go without some proper procedure.
He turned away from the crowd into his throne room and plopped himself upon his dais. He didn't have time to mope around. He had a universe to run.
~~~~~```````` The End.
