Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Speed ❯ One-Shot
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
I'm tired of spinning my wheels.
I need to find a place where my heart can go to heal.
I need to get there pretty quick.
Hey mister, what you got out on that lot you can sell me in a pinch.
She knew she shouldn't be driving so fast not now anyway,
but he was on her mind and she had to get rid of him. But she knew
it was hopeless she already missed him and that just made her weak,
because no matter how much she loved him, wanted him, missed him,
cared for him she knew it was hopeless, because she wasn't HER.
Maybe one of them souped up muscle cars.
The kind that makes you think you're stronger than you are.
Color don't matter, no I don't need leather seats.
All that really concerns me is:
The road was empty but with it being so late, no one was awake most
likely. Well, she was awake but that meant nothing, he meant nothing.
But as much as she tried to convince herself of that, the more she
keeps running toward him then away.
Speed, an' how fast will it go.
Can it get me over her quickly.
Zero to sixty, can it outrun her memory
Yeah, what I really need,
Is an open road,
An' a whole lot of speed.
Maybe if he'd told her she wouldn't be so angry right now,
maybe if she'd had let herself known she would never be
enough for him she wouldn't be hurting right now, maybe
she shouldn't have fallen in love with him, maybe she should
have known better and just told him to fuck off. But maybes will
only get you so far, but maybe then at least she'd have her heart in one
piece.
I’d like to trade in this old truck,
‘Cause it makes me think of her and that just slows me up.
See, it’s the first place we made love, where we used to sit and talk,
On the tailgate all night long, but now she’s gone,
An’ I need to move on.
So give me:
She'd been so happy at first, then she noticed his eyes would
glaze over when he looked at her, or when SHE'D walk by he
would follow her with his eyes. Or how he never shut up about
HER, it was kinda cute at first, she almost thought he was
thinking about her as his sister instead he was lusting after his
best friends niece.
Speed, an' how fast will it go.
Can it get me over her quickly.
Zero to sixty, can it outrun her memory
Yeah, what I really need,
Is an open road,
An' a whole lot of speed.
He told her he loved her, he said so, so many times before, but he
was lying to her, she should have known she couldn't hope to win
against Pan Son, but she thought maybe she could stand a chance,
but she was wrong. His heart was the prize and she lost it to a girl
who was just using him, when Pan told him that he'd come after her
to try to get to come back to him, but she would never play second
best to anyone.
Throw me them keys so I can put some miles between us.
Tear off that rear view mirror, there's nothing left to see here, yeah.
Let me lean on that gas, oh she catches up fast,
So give me:
She never saw the stop sign that was tipped to the right on the
side of the road, she felt it when the 18-wheeler smashed into
her jeep. And she was held by his little sister who had just
stopped her car not 10 yards from the crash site, she lifted
her hand and grasped Bra's tight and started talking.
"Bra?" she asked her voice rough and groggy, "yes"
came her answer, "I what to tell you something but you've
got to promise not to tell anyone not even your brother or
Pan" she told her "okay I promise" Bra said her voice echoing
the grief she was feeling. "I was coming back from seeing
your brother, I was gonna tell him I was pregnant but then I saw
him kissing Pan in front of his house as I saw driving up so I just
drove on by, don't tell please Bra don't" she begged. Bra was so
shocked then so angry all she could do was nod, the woman in Bra's
arms smiled sweetly before more blood start to seep from her mouth and she went
limp in Bra's arms.
Speed, an' how fast will it go.
Can it get me over her quickly.
Zero to sixty, can it outrun her memory
Yeah, what I really need,
Is an open road,
An' a whole lot of speed.
That's what I need.
I'm tired of spinning my wheels.

3 YEARS LATER
Bra whispered soft words to the tombstone before her as she placed
a dozen deep, purple lilacs on the grave she was standing before. Three
years ago her brother had lost his mate, and his first child in a wreck
that was as much his fault as it was anyone else's. Three years had gone by
since and he hasn't even looked at another woman, saying Pan was a
fling but the woman who now lay in this grave was a mate. He had got it
after her funeral when bra had seen him shed tears over his mate's grave,
she had been so angry she had nearly killed him when she attacked him,
she ended up telling him everything and that just made his grief ten times
worse. Even their father was mad he had nearly let Bra kill Trucks when he'd
heard what happened, so now the only woman Trucks could bear
to look at was her. Bra shook herself out of her thoughts as she felt a warm
breeze and the scent of honey, lilacs, sugar and sunshine that had always seemed
to trail behind her brother’s mate. "Hello Shyler, how are you? Good I hope, that's nice,
listen, guess what? I'm getting married soon, his name is Uub, he was that nice kid Goku
trained for years. Yeah I know I'm lucky, well I've got to go you take care and I'll see you
next week same time, same place, good bye" Bra called over her shoulder as left the graveyard
and went back home. And as sun glints off the headstone, we can see the mirror image of a young
woman, with long wavy black hair the touches the ground, a slender ballet dancers body with odd
colored shining green eyes for just a moment before it's gone. And the headstone reads.
