Got the idea once I saw this contest, but also an alternate for my story ‘Friends Till The End’, which I will post later on.

A fine toothed brush clawed through thick newly washed raven hair. Untangling knots and evening out locks, its owner did not even bother to fix her bangs. They were permanently spiky, just like her father’s; nothing could tame them.

Pulling on a navy blue spaghetti-strap tank top, Matti glanced around her room for bottoms to wear. If she were to go out for the night with the man of her dreams, she wanted to be with him in style and something comfortable. He was always one to keep with fashion.

Stepping into a worn pair of denim shorts, the girl gazed at herself in her vanity mirror. Sucking in her gut, she lifted her arms to make sure her figure looked alright. ‘Good enough…’ Picking up her cell phone, she descended down the stairs.

“Where are you off to?” Chi-Chi asked her daughter after seeing her.

Matti shrugged, trying hard to hide the blood boiling at her face. “Nowhere special. Just meeting some pals at Satan park….I‘ll be back at around 10-10:30.”

“Make it 8-8:30.”

“Yes, mama.” Pulling on Gohan’s black hoodie, she opened the door to leave. “See you!” Quickly gathering her ki, she flew off into the night sky. Heart pumping, she wasn’t sure she could keep control of what direction she was heading. ‘Man, our first date!! I hope I don’t act odd or anything….’

Reaching the city, she rose her height so she would not be seen. ‘I can land near the cliffs, then meet him at the bridge.’ Touching down in some bushes, she walked her way down to the park. After walking for a few minutes, her mind began to worry. ‘Where is he? I can sense his ki…but I don’t-Oh!!’ “Y-san!” She waved her arms. “Y-san!”

Yamcha rested his arms on the stone bridge wall. His chest heaved a deep sigh, eyes closing. ‘Knew she was never going to come….Chi-Chi doesn’t like her kids to be out late.’ Hearing his name, to turned. Immediately, his mood brightened. “Mazzy-chan!!” His arms caught her as she dove into his chest.

Giggling, Matti wound her arms around his neck. They kissed for a moment, then broke apart. “I am so glade you came.” She snuggled her face in his shirt.

Yamcha gave her a tight bear hug. “You know I will always meet you.” He pecked her nose sweetly. “No matter what.” Nuzzling his nose to her own, he asked what she wanted to do for the night.

Attempting to hold her eagerness, Matti gripped his shirt. “It doesn’t matter to me. We could just walk around or something.” An albino koi fish jumped out of the water, swallowing a blood plump mosquito before splashing back down. A few bass swam around with him, hopping out to eat bugs.

Shrugging, Yamcha draped and arm around her shoulders, both leaning on the bridge. He softly kissed the side of her head in affection, meeting her lips when she asked. Her hand traveled to the nape of his neck, finger tips giving the skin a prickling sensation. He cupped her cheek, other arm hooking around her waist. Breaking contact, he slowly spun her around so his girl was now chest to chest with him.

Matti wound her arms limp around his neck, his hands holding her shoulder. They kissed for what seemed like hours, till oxygen had to re-supply their lungs. She rested her head on his collar bone.

“Better then a walk?” he asked.

She smiled, cuddling against him and talking in his scent. “Definitely.” *

“So, what have you been up to?” Matti asked, belly flopping on Bulla’s bed. She hugged a near by pillow against her chest.

Her friend shrugged, pushing a headband into her hair to hold her bangs in place. She adjusted the rest of her long blue hair before the vanity mirror she was sitting in front of. “Nothing much. The business trip with mom went okay. Not totally boring as last time. The office building was right off a beach…soo many hot guys playing volley ball! It’s got to be touchier for the female office workers…”

“I bet.” Dan-Dan began to play from her jeans. Blinking, Matti pulled her cell phone from her belt. “Ah, I’ll be right back.” Leaving the room, she made sure to close the door behind her before answering. “Hay, baby.”

“Hi, what’s up?”

She shrugged, resting her back against the wall. “Well, I’m at Bulma’s right now. I wanted to see Bulla, and I had to pick up a CD from Trunks.”

“Oh….” A long pause sounded on Yamcha’s line. “I thought we were going to meet up this afternoon.”

“When? I don’t remember you telling me that. Want me to leave now? I’ll go to your place.”

“Nah. We weren’t going to go anywhere special anyway….just, you know, sitting around, watch some porn…”

“Y-san!” She giggled.

His playful laugh was heard. “Sorry, I just really have to see you. Aside from renting porn…”

Mirai Trunks rubbed a towel around his long lavender hair. After sparring with his father, he took a nice long shower. A full two summers has flown by since he arrived in the past timeline. A vacation was what his mother pushed him to have. Before opening his bedroom door, he nodded a hello to Matti, noting she was on the phone. Seeing her face was modestly blushing, he smiled and rolled his eyes. Bulla told him she had a mini crush on her brother.

“…Y-san! Cut it out! I know you’re trying to be sweet, but girls really don’t like that stuff.”

Hearing the nickname, Mirai paused. ‘Yamcha….calling Matti?’ He glanced over, pretending to fix the towel on his head.

“What? No!! Y-san…..*giggle* I bet you would. Then after we could….do what we did last time….. No, the other last time. When you threw me in the pool and we had that huge water fight, dumby!”

‘…..oh….Kami….’ Mirai thought. Entering his room, he leaned against he closed door to listen in some more. Bulla told him Matti mentioned she had met the guy of her life, but also said none of her friends knew who this guy was. He would never ever suspect a family friend, her father’s friend. ‘You’re jumping to conclusions, Trunks, why would she go out with a man 35 years older? And Yamcha…?’

“Okay, okay, Y-san. Enough dirty talk…for now. What time do you want me over?…Seven? Tonight? How about tomorrow; I’m thinking about staying here to catch up with Bulla……Five is fine…. Yup. I love you so much. Bye.” Hanging up the phone, Matti clipped the cell back to her belt, then went back into Bulla’s room. “Sorry, had to get that.”

Mirai tossed his now damp towel on his bed. ‘That’s new.’ *

Matti pulled on some pajamas Trunks loaned her, Bulla’s outfit’s a little too tight for her. Buttoning up a night shirt, she yawned and left the bathroom and headed to her designated room. Holding the door knob, she gave the lavender haired time traveler a nightly farewell. “Night, Mirai-chan.”

He nodded, opening his door. Knowing not to ask during dinner, he said, “Who were you talking to on the phone? Your boyfriend? Did you tell Bulla?”

Pausing, she answered, “Yup. Once he gets some time off, I’ll have Bulla meet him. Tomorrow is his only day off for the week and he suggested we just hang around his place.”

“It’s kinda odd….I thought I recognized his voice. Sorry to admit that I eavesdropped a little.” He watched her raven eyes harden.

“He is nobody you know. And no, my parents do not know. I’m not keeping him to myself either.”

He shook his head. “I never said anything related to that. No need to jump down my throat….or is he somebody you don’t want anyone to know about?” Vegeta’s smirk played mockingly at her.

Matti glared viscously at him. “What the hell do you care? My business is not yours and by the way, I knew you stood there and listened in earlier. Pretty damn rude for a pussy like you.”

Mirai’s eye brow’s raised in shock. “Man, you have as big an attitude as Goten told me.”

“Sounded really intelligent there. Don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong. Now leave me alone.” She slammed the door behind her before he could shoot a comeback.

Knowing for sure what was going on, Mirai decided to think about the subject longer before sleeping. *

“Sleep well?” Bulma asked, setting a dish in front of Matti as the girl helped her set the table.

She shrugged, dropping a fork on the floor. Placing it beside Vegeta’s place, she knew he would not mind. “Alright. Better than the other room I had. Oh, you don’t need to make food for me; my boyfriend and I are going to breakfast, his treat.”

The woman smiled, picking up the plate. “I have to meet this guy. He sounds like a rare sweetie. Not trying to badmouth you Vegeta.” She winked as her husband came into the door.

He grunted, as usual, for his greeting. He was not going to ask what Bulma meant. Sitting in his chair, he asked when food would be ready. “The boy wants food too, using the excuse of needing to burn energy from food to fight. Heh.” Just as he said, Mirai stepped through the door. He looked worn, resting his shoulder against the door frame.

“Morning, Mirai-chan.” Matti said.

“Hi.” He replied, breath slightly lost.

“Well, I’m heading out. Thanks anyway, Bulma.” The girl picked up her backpack and was about to leave, when the time traveler spoke.

“Meeting your mysterious boyfriend somewhere?” he asked. He noted her ki increase.

“None of your business.” she replied, “I clearly stated where your nose should be last night.”

Vegeta chuckled, arms limply over the back of his chair. He leaned back so the legs were off the floor. “Wow, she sure is a barker.”

“Excuse me for watching out for you.” Mirai told her, “Just wanted to know.” She turned on him.
“And I ordered you to stay out of my way.” She stepped past him to leave, when his fingers curled around her arm. Her raven eyes shot daggers at his face.

“May I ask a question, about yesterday?” He guessed the groan erupting from her throat was an invitation. “Was…..was that Yamcha on your phone?” Trying to keep his voice low, he soon found his parents still heard.

Matti winced, Bulma laughing and asking what her son was talking about. Vegeta laughed. “Why the hell would she talk to that woman hunting freak?”

She turned on him, teeth bared. “Do Not Talk About Yamcha That Way!!” He body froze at the shocked looks each of her friends were giving her. She suddenly noticed Bulma’s face wore sympathy all over it.

Everybody was taken aback by that. It was just a random shout. Nobody would have been angry by that insult, unless she was very attached to the man. The answers were so clear. “Matti? How could you date Yamcha?” Bulma asked slowly, “I mean….how, never mind when, did that happen?”

“N-Never!!”

Vegeta shook his head. “Please, I can smell his scent on you, brat, there is no way you could not be around him often.” He winced when she screamed in aggravation.

“Everybody Just Leave My Love Life Alone!! Mirai, You Baka!!” A fine red mark formed on his left cheek.

Mirai was in so much utter surprise, he could not react. Vegeta’s mouth dropped, while Bulma said nothing. The lavender haired hybrid rubbed his face, staring at Matti through bright crystal eyes.

“You Asshole! You Just Gave Everything Away! We Didn’t Want Anyone To Know!! It’s All Your Fucking Fault!”

“Mazzy-chan….just stop for a moment, please?”

Vegeta smirked. “Too late for that.”

Matti shrugged his hand off her elbow. “Don’t touch me.” He held her shoulder.

“Come to my room and we can talk.” Her voice still insulting him, he grasped her shirt and shoved the furious girl along.

“I think this is bad,” Bulma thought out loud, “She could get hurt if she dates him. Not to mention the age difference.”

Vegeta yawned. “Along with her bitching….” *

“What is your problem?! There is no need to talk that way to me!”

Matti slapped his cheek again. “I can talk to who ever I want how ever I want!! You did something that…that you shouldn’t have!! You just broadcasted my entire romance life to your and my parents! How could you do this to me?!” She flinched when he took a quick stepped forward.

Knowing he could easily hurt the girl if he retaliated, Mirai calmed himself in the best of his abilities. “Listen, I did not mean to explain all that. I am really, really-”

“Sorry is not going to cut it!! My father is going to murder Yamcha!! Kill him, the man I am in love and share a bond with!! How could you…..Just because you were so fucking miserable without love does not mean you have to force others to feel the same.”

“I did not want you to feel like I have all my life. I did not want you to get hurt.”

“Hurt?! HURT?!” She swung at his face, finger tips grazing the tip of his nose. “Nobody knows Yamcha like I do! Nobody! He changed when your mother lost interest, and my father never talks to him.” Her teeth bared, saiyan instincts telling her to defend her mate. “You’ve only heard stories about him, so how can you say that you personally know him? You can’t.”

“Matti, please, try and listen.”

“To you? HA!” Arms folded, her back faced him. “Fuck that. You mess up once with me, we never speak again!” She snarled when he forcefully turned her around. His crystal eyes met her coal ones in a glare.

Mirai moved his face close to hers, making sure her full attention was on him. “I do not want to see you or him get hurt with him. You are correct in nearly every way, I’ll admit. Yamcha may love you the same amount that you love him, but there are too make problems with your relationship. I could make a better choice. I mean, our age is the same, and we‘re both saiyans, so there is an understanding right there. Neither of us…have even had a relationship before.”

After a long moment of listening, Matti asked, “You want to go out with me?”

His face lit up. “Aaa….well….I mean…no, of course now.” His hands quickly let go.

Matti eyed him. “Mirai-chan…..” Tears welled up in her eyes. “I had the biggest crush on you….now I’m with Yamcha….I don’t know what to do…..I want you more then anything, but….how can I say that to Yamcha?”

Caressing the tears away, Mirai smiled. “Talk to him. He’s a guy who will understand. That I know.” *

Matti sweetly kissed Mirai Trunks’ cheek, arm wrapped around his. “I love this place. Thanks for joining me.”

He grinned. “How could I not. Yamcha even told me this place was wonderful. I’m glad that you guys saw the light. Another kiss?” He pressed against her lips for a few seconds. His cheeks were bright rose. “Thanks.”

She smiled back. Her arms wrapped around his sides, sandwiching him between her and the stone bridge. “Your welcome.” She leaned up, pressing her clothed breasts against his chest, kissing him heatedly.

Mirai accepted, their tongues meeting in their mouths.
