Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Staring at the Sun ❯ Life is like a ride on the Freeway ( Chapter 1 )
This would be my second fanfic, this time it's about how Goku and Chi Chi meet for the first time as teenagers. They might be out of character, maybe, not likely but if you think it is then it's your opinion. I appreciate any reviews and suggestion for what you would like to see. I'm still not used to all these foreign buttons, so if i mess up, don't worry, i'll fix it. Anywayz, on with the show...
Disclaimer: I don't own DBZ or anything involved with it...i just use them in my fanfics and bend the characters and thier world at my will to satisfy those hungry readers out there.
"I'll show them!" Chi Chi sputtered as she stomped away from the city. Chi Chi continued to stomp until she felt herself walk through the instinctive barrier telling her that she had walked well out of the cities sight. She found a nearby rock and sat on it as she set her bag down next to it. Thoughts of everyone looking at her as she signed on for the tournament haunted her as she laid back on the rock looking at the partially clouded sky. All the other warriors looking at her like as if she had a death wish. All the other citizens whispering behind her back. Women didn't ordinarrily enter in the tournament and the society that surrounded Chi Chi didn't exactly think it was normal for one to. Yet Chi Chi held her head high all the way through it, through the crowd as she walked away from the announcments of the next battles held. Chi Chi had three days to train herself to the fullest and that's exactly what she had in mind. Chi Chi tore herself from her thoughts and quickly grabbed the bag that held her training attire. After she changed she hid the bag in a nearby bush. Soon after Chi Chi began stretching and warming up. When she finished, Chi Chi ran off into the forest. She jumped over shrubs and fallen trees, quickening her pace with every step. When Chi Chi reached the middle of a meadow with low grass she stopped and caught her breath as she looked down at her shadow which told her that she had run for three hours. "Wow!" Chi Chi exclaimed breathlessly. Amazed at her improvement Chi Chi prepared to begin her intense training. She slowly moved into her battle stance, staring at her imaginary opponent. Her eyes closed which seemed to put her in a calm meditative state, but the silence was soon interupted with a fierce wail as the woman attacked the air maliciously. She did her kicks and flips, the punches and the combos. After a few more hours Chi Chi finally stopped and collapsed to the ground exhausted. She stared up at the gray clouded sky and soon fell asleep.
Goku smiled as he approached the roaring waters of the waterfall he had disovered not too long ago. He climbed up the slippery rocks and into the cave behind the waterfall. There, Goku leaned up against the cave wall about five feet from the raging water. He knew he was physically prepared for the battle, but he had to mentally prepared as well. Goku had been coming to this spot for the last two weeks to train his mind in meditation. He smiled at the as he began his meditation, hearing the faded thunder coming from the dark gray skies.
Chi Chi's eyes fluttered open as a rain drop rolled down her cheek. She sat up slowly and gave one last stretch before she stood up and began jogging back towards the woods. Just then the wind picked up and blew Chi Chi's hair wildly around as she continued in one direction. The rain started but Chi Chi didn't stop. She continued running, even as the rain started coming down in buckets and soaking her completely. A loud crash nearby startled Chi Chi as she was blinded by a bright light. She heard a deafening crack behind her and turned just in time to see a huge tree fall with her in it's path of destruction. Chi Chi jumped out of the way as the tree came crashing down, bringing other trees with it as it's huge branches toppled them over. She dodged all the branches and stopped right over a steep muddy endless-seeming hill. Chi Chi let out a sigh of relief and was just about to turn around when a branch came swinging at her and hit the back of her head sending her flying foward and down the muddy hill. The shock sent her into a spin as she slid faster and faster down the hill. Chi Chi helplessly reached out for branches but to no avail. When she finally gained focus she turned herself over onto her stomach with her feet behind her. Chi Chi then started grabbing at everything, mud, leaves, branches, roots...anything. She had to stop. When Chi Chi figured she couldn't do anything else to stop she rolled over and looked ahead of her. And there it was, it looked like the end of a cliff, a dead end. A drop off, but to what? "No!" Chi Chi desperatly dug her feet into the mudd trying to stop but they only slid through. She gained speed as her whole body covered in mudd. When Chi Chi finally reached the end she shut her eyes and took a breath...perhaps her last. She felt the tingling sensation run through her body as she flung over the edge and down. Then, everything went silent and she could only hear her breathing as she plummeted down. Tears filled her eyes but were never given the chance to escape as her body hit the icy cold waters of the raging rapids below her. Chi Chi's body toppled over and around as the angry current slammed her against a rock. When she finally surfaced she gasped and coughed for air but was soon taken under again. Chi Chi couldn't do anything but hold her breath and wrapped her arms around her aching side that had been slammed against the rock. The pain was excrutiating. Chi Chi came up to the surface once again for a quick breath as she saw the end of the river coming. She didn't need to think twice about what lied ahead of her....a waterfall. Then the end came and she fell with the water, giving one last scream before the waters silenced her.
