Stormy Night

Notes: This is my first Videl/Gohan fic. It will probably be only a one shot, but you never know. I do not own either song I put in here. I also cut them up, I didn't want the whole song of both.

Videl was sitting on her bed looking out the window. It was 'dark and stormy night' as they have put in first sentence of lots of stories.

She hated stormy nights ever since she broke up with Gohan. She remembered it like it had happened yesterday, although it had been two months long months to this day…

Videl picked up the phone and took a deep breath. She dialed the number that she had long since memorized…

"Hello!" Gohan's little brother, Goten chirped.

"Could you put your brother on… I have something to tell him."

"Sure!" Goten cried, "Gohan! Big brother, your girlfriend is on the phone!"

I wanna thank you

For giving me time to breathe

After a second Gohan's voice said, "Hello… Videl?"

"It's me," Videl said in the coolest voice she could muster, "it's not working."

Gohan was silent,

"I was just in it for the thrills. I don't want to get married or anything. Good-by!"

More then ever, Videl wished she didn't break up with him. But she knew she had too… they were moving to fast…

"You know that's a lie, Satan Videl," she muttered. She was afraid of getting hurt, so she hurt Gohan instead.

She dumped him over the phone and told him that what they had was nothing. It was a complete and utter lie. And now it was killing her. She wanted to be back with Gohan so much it hurt. But, she didn't deserve Gohan, but she wanted to make peace.

With newfound energy and strength she stood up, opened her window and flew out and went to Gohan's as fast as she could.

Videl few as fast as she could to the Son's house. Even if he didn't take her back… she would still apologize. But she didn't want to think about the possibility of loosing Gohan forever.

Like a rock you waited so patiently

She landed next to the house and quickly ran to the door.

She knocked on it timidly.

After a few seconds of waiting, she heard footsteps. She hoped that Gohan answered it.

Gohan answered the door.

"V-Videl?" He bit his lip and then smiled, "Why don't you come in? I don't want you to get sick or anything."

Videl couldn't say anything. She never thought it would be this hard.

"No one's here, so my mom won't kill you…"

"Thank-you," Videl said softly.

"Do you need anything? I mean I haven't seen you since…" Gohan whispered.

While I got it together

While I figured it out

Videl shook her head and they sat down on the couch. "I… I wanted to tell you… I'm sorry. I know that I hurt you."

Gohan didn't deny it.

Videl began to blink. Her eyes were stinging, she would not cry. She hadn't cried since her mother died and she wasn't about to start now. "I didn't mean it."

"I know."

Videl looked surprised. "You did?"

Gohan nodded.

Videl leaned over to Gohan and kissed him. She wrapped her arms around his waist as she deepened the kiss. Gohan responded eagerly for a moment and then pushed her away.

I only looked but I never touched
'Cause in my heart was a picture of us

"What are you doing?" He asked.

Videl began to blink and she stood up. "I'm-I'm sorry. I thought this what you wanted. I'll just go."

Gohan grabbed her wrist. "Please don't go, not just yet."

Videl looked over at Gohan. "I'm sorry-I'm just afraid! I've never felt this…"

Gohan pulled her down and gently brushed the tears off her face. "…You're crying? Why?"

Videl looked down; "You're worth crying over."

Holding hands, making plans

Gohan put his hand behind her neck and brushed his lips across hers. "Are you afraid of me?"

Videl shook her head, "No. I never thought I'd feel this way. The only thing I'm afraid of is loosing you. I didn't want to admit that I love you."

And it's lucky for me you understand

"How could you love me?" He asked.

Videl leaned into Gohan, "how could I not?"

"I don't understand."

Videl looked into his eyes, "you were the first one who saw me, really saw me."

There was a time I was blind
I was so confused
I'd un away just to hide it all from you

"You were the one, who let me in," Gohan said, his eyes locked onto Videl's clear blue eyes.

"You were the first one who tried." Videl murmured.

Gohan leaned down and brushed his lips against hers again. Videl grabbed his neck and began to kiss him deeply.

Don't let go, Videl thought desperately.

But baby you knew me better
Than I knew myself-yeah

Gohan's lips trailed down Videl's neck.

"Don't stop," Videl whispered.

"I won't," he said softly

They say if you love something let it go
And if it comes back, it's yours, that's how you know
It's for keeps

Gohan took off Videl's over shirt, revealing her pink tank top. "Do you want me to stop?"

Videl shook her head and began to nibble on his neck as she began to unbutton Gohan's shirt.

I have a gift for you. Something I've held on to.
Waiting for your sweet caress.

Gohan moaned and captured Videl's lips as she pulled off his shirt.

"Please never leave me." Videl said.

"I won't," Gohan said his hands trailing down her back.

No ribbon has been untied from all that I hold inside.
And only you will possess

Videl leaned closer to Gohan as he took off her tank top.

Gohan stopped for a moment, "Are you sure you want this?"

"I've never been more sure of anything in my life… what about you?"

Gohan nodded and kissed her tenderly

This heart of innocence
