I DON'T OWN A DAMN THING
13: Awakening
had been 2 days since the battle between Pan and Vejitta and still Pan hadn't awaken from her sleep and Bra hadn't left her side for more than an hour or 2. Although she had yet to wake up Pan was showing signs that she was recovering fast and this made Bra feel a lot better because she had a question that she needed to ask the girl lying next to her as she prepared to fall asleep.
Please wake up soon Pan Bra told herself as she wrapped her arms around the sleeping girl next to her. I need you to wake up so that I can ask you an important question. Bra leaned over and kissed Pan softly on the lips before curling up next to her and falling asleep.
the door Vejitta saw what his daughter just did and couldn't help but feel guilty about what he did and he knew he had to make up for it but he didn't know how. He was so lost in thought that he didn't sense Bulma come and place her comforting hand on his shoulder and asked "Are you all right?"
looked at his wife with a sad look on his face but smiled and said "I just can't help but feel guilty for what I did," Bulma was about to reply but Vejitta cut her off and continued "I know that this isn't Planet Vejitta but I felt like I needed to do that." Bulma looked at her husband understandingly "I know and we all understand why you did that." Vejitta looked at his wife with a puzzled look.
Bulma continued "We all know that you were protecting Bra from being hurt. And that you wanted to make sure that she could be protected without you there. And we all know how important the customs and traditions of Vejitta are to you and we will help you keep them alive if you want us to." Vejitta nodded and Bulma smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek before saying "Now come to bed." Vejitta just looked at his wife and smiled as they headed off towards their bedroom for goodnights sleep. Yeah Right.
next day the sun broke through the blinds of Bras room and landed on the face of a sleeping Pan. Pan stirred as the sun hit her face and opened her eyes to a room she hadn't been in for quite some time. Sitting up she felt the numbness of her brain wear off as she remembered the events that happened only three days before.
"How long have I been asleep?" she asked herself. Pan jumped as a voice said "Three days." came the sound of Bras voice from next to her. Bra looked up at her mate smiled before saying "Good morning beautiful." as she leaned in and kissed Pan right on the lips. Pan returned the kiss but got a little dizzy and had to break off from it.
"What happened?" she asked Bra as she laid back down next to the girl. "Well after you transformed Dad had to go to level three and end the fight before anybody got hurt." Pan snorted at this remark and said "Yeah well I got hurt pretty bad and it's his fault that we fought."
looked at Pan and told her while cupping her cheek "He only did that to make sure that you would be able to protect me." Pan looked back at Bra and smiled "I know and with me now being able to transform to level two it will be easier to protect the woman that I love." Pan said as she leaned in and kissed Bra on her bite mark which caused Bra to gasp.
pleasure that she was feeling from the contact on her bite mark was more than she could bear and llthough she didn't want to end the moment Bra broke away from her which shocked Pan enough to have her ask"What's the matter?" Bra looked at Pan and said "Nothing I just think that we should let everyone know your awake." Pan smiled at this and knew that her love was right so she just said "You're right lets go." And as soon as she tried to stand up she fell right back on the bed because her muscles were still stiff from being knocked out for three days.
"I guess you should take it easy for a bit?" Bra said through a laugh as she helped Pan get up and dress into some new clothes that Videl had brought for when she woke up.
"So what's everybody been up to since I've been out?" Pan asked as Bra finished helping her get her shoes on. "Not much, just wondering when you'd wake up." Bra replied. "Well I guess I should call my family and tell them I'm alright." Pan said as she headed towards the phone to call her parents.
minutes later Bra and Pan headed downstairs to Bulma running at Pan and crying into her shoulder. "I'm so glad that you're alright." Pan just put her arms around Bulma and said "Of course I'm alright." Bulma just sat there crying into Pans shirt until Trunks came up and got her off Pan "Come on mom. Don't go into hysterics." Trunks then turned his attention to Pan and hugged her quickly before asking "You okay kid?" Pan just looked at her brother-in-laws worried face and said "Just a little stiff but after I move around a bit I should be alright." Trunks just smiled at her a gave her a small kiss on the forehead and than kissed his sister before going into the kitchen.
and Bra smiled at eachother but were surprised to hear a familiar grunt from behind them. The two girls turned around to a stern looking Vejitta. Before either one of them Vejitta stepped forward and hugged Pan. Bra stared at her father and Pan just stood there in complete shock at what was taking place.
a moment Vejitta broke the hug and stared right into Pans eyes and said "I know that you're probably mad at me for what I did and I want you to know that I'm sorry for what I did and the things that I said. But I had to make sure that you could protect my daughter." Pan was about to say that she understood but Vejitta spoke first "I know it might take awhile for you to forgive me but I want you to know that I'll make it up to you."
started to walk away but Pan stopped him and said "Vejitta I'm glad you did what you did. Because of you I can now protect Bra much easier than I was once able to and I want you to know that you didn't need to worry about my reactions because I knew that you wanted Bra to be happy and protected and that I'm glad that you allowed me to transform to the next level." Vejitta just stood there in shock as Pan spoke and was even more shocked as Pan hugged him then headed into the dining room for breakfast. "Thanks daddy." Bra told Vejitta with a quick kiss on the cheek as she headed off to breakfast and left her father out in the hall with his mouth open in complete shock.
breakfast Bra and Pan left Capsule Corp. to go see their friends and Pans family to show them that she was ok. They first stopped by Pans house to see her parents and were greeted by a crying Videl and a smiling Gohan and Tony and a smiling Ryoko.
they went to see Goku and Chi Chi who were happy to see their granddaughter up and moving. Then it was on to Gotens house to visit Pans aunt, uncle and cousins and were greeted by four 1/4 Saiyan toddlers. Then they went to the Lookout to see Piccolo, Dende and Popo and then to the Kami house to see 18, Krillin and the old pervert Roshi.
a long day of travel and seeing family and friends the two women returned to their apartment for a good meal movie and sleep.
the dinner and the movie as well as a long relaxing bubble bath in which Pan didn't need to clean a single inch of herself the two love birds got ready for bed. After they got dressed in their PJs and were about to get into bed Bra spoke up and said "Pan we need to talk."
looked at Bra with a look of wonder and asked "Okay what about?" Bra took a deep breath and said "Well over the last few days I've been thinking about us." Pan just stared at Bra and was expecting the worst and fearfully asked "Are you lea..." "No I'm not leaving you. In fact its quite the opposite." Pan saw Bras hand reach into her drawer and saw her mate remove a small box.
You all are probably going ah shit we want to know what's in the box? Thats probably the question you all are asking and you all probably know whats in the damn thing so why the hell did i cut it off there you ask. well i just felt like it so <raspberry> you all have enjoyed the story up til now because its almost done and i'll soon be starting on the sequel so stay tuned as your questions are answered on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z.please.
