Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Taking Chances and Leaps of Faith ❯ In Which There is Another Arrival ( Chapter 8 )
"Mmmm…you smell so good," the man whispered, his face nuzzled in her dark hair. She breathed in his scent, sweat and something spicy, something uniquely him. She would be able to pick the scent out of a crowd of thousands.
Casually, she ran her slim fingers through his lavender locks, so long and silky. She adored his hair, worshipped it almost. She loved it when he wore it loose and when they made love it would brush against her sensitive skin and…he drove her wild.
"Love me…please, I need you…"
Answering her whispered need, he peeled off the robe she wore, slowly, sensually, and she wriggled impatiently. He chuckled, long and low, sending shivers through her body. The man rose up and gazed at her naked body, illuminated by the glow of a single candle. So beautiful, so exquisite, perfect in every way.
She watched him watch her, quivering with her unanswered need, it was erotic, dangerous…she loved it. Reaching up with her slender arms, she pulled him into her embrace, wrapping her long, toned legs around his tapered waist, wanting to feel him inside her.
"No foreplay," he teased lightly, kissing her nose.
"I need you NOW," she gasped slightly, trying to pull him closer. He obliged and smoothly filled her completely, enjoying the delighted surprise on her face. They began to move slowly, leisurely. Tonight was meant to be savored, enjoyed. There was something so sweet in their lovemaking that was normally so animalistic. She did not want to let it go.
She could feel the sensations building steadily inside, but the need to quicken their pace was tightly controlled. For some reason, the pair understood that they needed this. For hours they moved together, they were tireless, their stamina unmatched.
The sun was peeking over the horizon when they climaxed together. She could feel him explode inside her, could feel his seed as it traveled to her womb, and they both knew they had created life that night……………
Cira woke with a start to the computer droning in its monotonous tone. They were a day away from Chikyuu. Shutting it off, Cira tried to catch her breath, her body was vibrating from the pleasure of the dream. It had seemed so real; she knew she had been there. In fact, she would not be surprised if the man from her dreams walked right through the door.
But he didn't and she was merely greeted by the voice of her sleepy brother.
"Good morning…I think."
"Yes, good morning. Do you think we can walk yet?"
He shrugged. "We've been asleep for a couple of months, I think I would stretch from your seat before attempting anything as taxing as walking."
Cira did stretch and it felt wonderful. The kinks and cramps in her muscles began to disappear and she sighed. Her mind, however, kept wandering back to her intense dream. Was it a warning of what was to come? She wasn't even old enough yet to technically participate in such an act. Her entry to the married life was still several years away.
Frowning, Cira pushed the dream deep into the recesses of her mind. There were other things she had to worry about. Besides, she hadn't even seen his face. It was probably a prelude to growing into her adult body.
Cira turned her attention the planet outside their window. It was distant, but becoming larger by the second. From the outside, it looked beautiful, all blue and green and Cira hoped it resembled Elrondia.
"Are you nervous?" Lucca asked, watching her.
"No, not really. Why do you ask? Are you?"
Lucca shook his head. "I wouldn't say that I was nervous. I don't know how I feel actually. Kind of anxious to get it over with."
Cira raised her eyebrow. "I thought this was what you wanted, to leave Elrondia and explore."
He shrugged, watching the planet grow larger by the minute. Elrondian sight was excellent, three times that of a human, so Chikyuu seemed closer then it actually was. "I miss Raina, I miss our family, and I even miss Maipe and his terrible temper."
"And womanizing ways," teased Cira.
Lucca rolled his eyes. "I do not miss that! I don't know what to do with him and neither does father."
"How about letting him choose his own path and deciding for himself. Maipe is actually responsible, and he's not stupid, despite what you and Father may think."
"I never said that Maipe was stupid, and don't use such vulgar language."
Cira sighed and resumed fiddling with some of the controls. It was going to be a long 24 hours if this was how her brother was going to act.

The pair crash-landed in a deserted field 24 hours later. In the distance, high mountain peaks rose into the air. When Cira exited, her eyes were drawn to them first and she wrinkled her nose at their drab appearance. In fact, the whole planet was rather dull looking and colorless. Then again, she was comparing it to Elrondia, the most beautiful planet in the universe.
Lucca followed her out and glanced around, but if he was disgusted with the outlook, he did not say. Cira decided that she hated Chikyuu. It was so dirty and the natives did not take care of HER at all. The air, even this far into the country, was tainted with the heavy acrid odor of smoke and death.
"This planet is dying. Can you feel it?" Cira asked with disgust. Lucca shook his head and began to walk away from the mountains. Cira followed him, asking again.
"You can't compare Chikyuu to Elrondia, Cira. We are two entirely different peoples and therefore have different values. If it is their business to pollute and destroy their world, then so be it."
"You knew," Cira accused, slightly miffed, "didn't you? You knew this planet would be disgusting and you didn't tell me!"
"Maybe," Lucca shot back, "If you had concentrated on your studies more instead of playing around, you would know."
Cira crossed her arms and fell a few steps behind her brother, pouting slightly. He was so temperamental sometimes! She could never tell when he was running hot or cold and then he'd pick on her. Life wasn't fair! She hated this! She wanted to go home!
"Excuse me sir?" Lucca asked, stopping a man on the street. They had finally made it to a populated city and had spent the last hour searching for Bulma Briefs.
"Yes," the old man said, stopping and cleaning his sunglasses. He placed them back on his face and gasped at the two aliens standing before him. Although the two had taken care to mask any obvious differences, they were far too beautiful and godly to be normal. Unlike the others, however, this man did not run away.
He began to salivate when he saw Cira and bowed before her. "Lady, you are so beautiful, how about a kiss?"
Cira backed away from the man, disgust on her face. "Is this how one of your people greets royalty?" She asked haughtily. Lucca growled at her and gripped her shoulder tightly.
"Forgive my sister, old master. Do know a woman by the name of Bulma Briefs and where she might live?"
The old man did not pause from his inspection of Cira as he said, "Nope, never heard of her. Just a little kiss, sweet one? For an old man?"
"No," Cira said firmly. "If you'll excuse us, we don't have much time."
Cira grabbed her brother and dragged him off. Master Roshi watched the pair until they disappeared. Whipping out his capsules, he chose his fastest air car and sped off to Capsule Corps. He needed to find Bulma and soon, before those two characters discovered who and where she was.

"Master Roshi, how nice to see you," Bulma said, no joy evident in her tone. She sidestepped Roshi's wandering hands and added, "I'll go find Vegeta, I'm sure he will want to greet you as well."
Roshi immediately straightened and said, "Actually Bulma, that would be a good idea. I will wait in the sitting room for you."
Bulma's face dropped and she nodded slowly. ~Vegeta?~
~What woman? I'm trying to train and you're interrupting!~
~Well, excuse me! This is important though, Vegeta. Master Roshi is here and needs to talk to us.~
Bulma could feel the silence and curiosity on Vegeta's end.
~Very well, Kitara and I are on our way. This had better be important, woman, or Roshi isn't leaving here alive!~
Bulma returned to the present and found Trunks in front of her, his face perplexed.
"Oh, Trunks, I'm glad you're here! I suppose you should probably join us…"
"Bulma, what's wrong? I tried to get your attention before and you completely ignored me!"
She tittered softly and interlocked arms with her son. "Oh, Trunks, that was just me and Vegeta speaking through our minds. Bonded mates can do stuff like that, you know."
Trunks blushed lightly. "Oh, okay. I thought something was wrong."
"No, silly, now, let's go find Master Roshi and see what is so important!"
By the time the two found Master Roshi, Kitara and Vegeta were already there, the latter extremely impatient.
"It's about time, woman, what took you so long?"
"Shut up, Vegeta!" Bulma screeched, taking a seat next to him, Trunks opted to stand behind them, arms crossed. Kitara eyed the three and noticed immediately the likeness between Vegeta and his son. It was almost scary.
"All right, Roshi," Vegeta growled. "What's so important that I had to leave my training?"
"I was in the city, Bulma," Roshi said without preamble, "And two strange characters were asking who you were and where you lived."
"What's so important about that?" Bulma queried. "People ask about me all the time, they were probably tourists."
Roshi shook his head. "They weren't human, I'm sure of it. They looked remarkably like humans, except they are far to beautiful and powerful."
"Roshi," Kitara chided, "Some humans are exceptionally beautiful. I wouldn't jump to such a conclusion based on appearances."
"I'm not, silly girl," Roshi said, "What gave them away is that I couldn't sense their ki."
"So!" Vegeta scowled, "Any decent warrior can lower their ki!"
"I couldn't detect any of it, and we were standing closer then we are now. It was like they were dead, but they weren't. They had no ki signature at all!"
"You were probably hallucinating, you lecherous old man," Vegeta growled, standing. "I should blast you for interrupting me for this!"
"Vegeta, listen to me," Roshi fairly yelled. "I wasn't the only one to see them! Everyone kept second glancing at both of them because they are so different! They were there, they're alive, and they're looking for Bulma!"
"I think," Trunks finally said, "We should investigate this Vegeta. Normally, I wouldn't worry about it either, but this is all happening awfully close to my nightmare about Bulma."
"Coincidence?" Kitara offered.
Trunks shook his head, light purple hair waving gently. "I don't believe in coincidence, not anymore."
Vegeta grunted, about to speak, when Bulma stood up shakily. He glanced at her worriedly and moved closer. "Trunks, there's something you don't know."
Trunks looked at his mother and then at his father, whose eyes were closed tightly. Bulma took a deep breath and instinctively placed a hand on her stomach.
"I am pregnant. I confirmed it this afternoon. According to Vegeta…it's a girl."
Trunks felt the world slow and stop. Disbelief flooded him and he felt himself stumble. No! It couldn't come true! The dream could not be real! What was he going to do? What could they do? A sharp punch from Vegeta brought Trunks back to reality and he blinked his eyes, trying to focus on the world around him.
"W-we have to find these people! We'll search the cities until we find them!"
Vegeta nodded. "As much as I do not wish to do this, I suggest we contact Kakarot's brat. Someone needs to stay here and protect Bulma-"
"Oh, no, Vegeta," Bulma said firmly. "I'm coming with you. I want to meet these aliens."
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Vegeta roared.
"I'M COMING, VEGETA!" Bulma screamed back. Taking a deep breath, she said in a more calm tone, "Besides, who better to protect me then you?"
Vegeta's mouth opened and closed, then opened and closed again. Admitting defeat he nodded, sullenly. "Very well, then. Bulma and I will search the south together. Kitara and Roshi, you take west. Trunks, you take east. I'll call Gohan and have him take north."
They all nodded and set off. After a quick telephone call and threats of death or worse, Gohan had also left. Picking up Bulma, Vegeta flew out an open window and headed south, clutching his mate and unborn daughter like a lifeline.
**************************************************************** ********
Gohan grumbled the whole way he flew. He had searched city after city and had found no trace of these strange aliens. Beginning to feel frustrated, Gohan turned around and headed for Satan City. He needed a break and maybe he could find Videl and she would help. Videl knew her way around pretty well, and could get people to talk to her.
The half Saiyan landed on the outskirts of the city. He searched for Videl's ki signature and found it close by. Running at sonic speed, he reached Videl in seconds, surprising her as he `casually' came around the corner.
"Gohan!" Videl gasped, surprised to see the boy at this time on a weekend. "Hey, what are you doing in Satan City?"
"I got bored so I decided to come see you," Gohan said, trying to make the lie convincing. "Fancy seeing you so soon, huh?"
Videl crossed her arms and glared at him. "Okay, Gohan, spill! You know it's my weekend to patrol, I don't need your help!"
Gohan's face turned slightly red as he tried to calm down Videl. "Okay, the truth is I'm looking for some, uh…friends and I need your help."
The girl in front of him still watched him suspiciously, but nodded. "For now, I'll help you look, but then I've got to get back to patrolling."
Gohan nodded eagerly and quickly gave her a quick description of his friends. The woman was petite with dark blue eyes that sparkled and onyx hair that was tightly braided. Her companion was extremely tall and well built. He had even darker hair, but light eyes, the color of the afternoon sky.
"Do you know their names?" Videl asked as they walked, scanning the crowd.
"Um…no," Gohan finally said. "I don't, and they're not really friends."
"I never thought they were," Videl said. "So, why are we looking for them? Are they criminals?"
"I really couldn't tell you," Gohan murmured, his eyes drawing to a couple in the distance. "They were asking about Bulma and so I want to find out what they want."
"Oh, Gohan," Videl said with disgust. "They're probably just tourists or something. I can't believe you dragged me-"
"Shh, look," Gohan, pointed to the couple they had come upon. The two fit Gohan's description, and he understood what Roshi had meant by the otherworldly look. The person they had tried to speak to had run off hurriedly. The woman looked at her companion, a defeated look on her face. He shrugged and they continued.
Videl gaped at them for a moment and then turned to Gohan. "Who are those people?"
"I don't know," Gohan said, "But we're going to find out."
Grasping Videl's hand, Gohan ran them around a corner that wrapped in a circle. They ended up in front of the pair of aliens. "Play along," Gohan whispered, wrapping his arm around Videl's waist.
Videl jumped slightly but followed along and the two pretended to gush at some flowers at a stand. Gohan shelled out some zeni and bought Videl a rose, smiling as he handed it to her.
The alien woman saw him do this and pulled her companion in their direction. "Here they come," Gohan whispered out the side of his mouth. Videl smiled widely at Gohan as she accepted the rose and kissed him on the cheek. He blushed uncontrollably and scratched the back of his head.
"Excuse me," the woman said. Gohan and Videl turned, both trying to not be astonished by the unworldly visitors. The woman spoke Japanese fluently, but there was a strange accent that neither Gohan nor Videl could place.
"I am sorry to interrupt your afternoon, sir, madam, but could you direct us to a Miss. Bulma Briefs."
The women's voice was husky and deep and Gohan could not help but be memorized by it. She smiled softly at him and fairly took his breath away. He had never beheld such beauty, such grace, such- "Oooof…"
Gohan grabbed his stomach where Videl had elbowed him. "You were drooling, Gohan," she hissed.
The woman smiled patiently as if this happened all the time to her. "Actually," Videl said. "Bulma is a close friend of ours, isn't she honey?"
Gohan grinned sheepishly. "Em…yes, she is, sweetie."
The woman raised one, elegant eyebrow, but did not comment. Instead she asked, "Could you take us to see her?"
"Actually…" Gohan began. Videl interrupted him quickly saying, "Of course we can! We'll take my helicopter to Capsule Corps. That's where she lives."
Gohan frowned at Videl when they turned to throw the capsule. "What are you doing?" He muttered fiercely as the four strapped themselves inside.
"Just trust me, Gohan. By now, I'm sure everyone's back at Capsule Corps. and this way we can all confront them, together."
Gohan rolled his eyes and suddenly knew his life was over. Vegeta would never forgive him for bringing these aliens to his home! He was dead!
