It has been 7 years after the defeat of Cell. Son Gohan, now 18, lives in the mountains with his mother, and the newest addition to their family, his little brother, Goten. After being home-schooled since he was 3, Gohan decides to try having a normal life, and takes exams to get him into high school. However, his life will be far from average as he meets someone that would change it forever...

The young demi saya-jin, Son Gohan, awoke with a start as someone began jumping on his bed, making the whole house shake. He sat up and grabbed the assailant, who began giggling like a madman.
"Niisan! *giggle* Mom said to get up or you'll *giggle* miss your first day of highschool!! Put me down! I wanna go call Trunks now!" Goten cried.
"Okay squirt..." Gohan put him down and he bolted from the room and down the stairs. Moments later, he heard his mother yell,
"SON GOTEN!!! NO RUNNING IN THE HOUSE!!!"
Gohan smiled. Chi Chi was very strict, but she had a hidden soft spot for her boys. Gohan got out of bed and dressed quickly, and headed downstairs to find her making breakfast in the kitchen.
"Morning mom! Smells great!" he said, sitting down at the table. "You know, I think you could make it chef... Maybe have your own cooking show?"
"Why thank you Gohan!" Chi Chi exclaimed, setting a bowl of rice in front of her hungry son. "It's nice to know that at least one of my boys has manners!" She yelled loudly to the living room, where Goten was chatting away on the phone.
Chi Chi sat down, picking up a bowl of rice for herself. An unfamiliar scent reached her nose, and she sniffed the air around the table. An evil grin popped onto her face when she traced it to the cologne-clad Gohan.
"My... my... Gohan, don't we smell nice?" she teased. "Why, I bet you'll have dozens of dates when you come home this evening!"
"Mo-om!! C'mon, me? I know nothing about girls..." He whined.
'Well, you'd better learn, mister.' Chi Chi thought, smirking. 'Cause high school girls will be the toughest opponents you've ever faced!'

Gohan gazed down at the landscapes that passed him by as he rode high up on Nimbus. `I guess I never really take the time to see how truly beautiful Earth is…' He thought, noticing the grass and lakes changing to buildings. He hopped off of the cloud and landed in an alley so no one would see him. He waved goodbye to his friend, then emerged onto the sidewalk to begin his walk school. All of a sudden, screams reached his sensitive ears, and he noticed that a nearby building was on fire.
"Oh no!" Gohan said, turning super, just in case he would take action, and to disguise himself from any of his future classmates. He pushed through a crowd and watched as firefighters scrambled to put out the flames. The police were on standby.
"Oh it's terrible!" cried a woman standing next to him.
"What's going on? How come they aren't going in?!" Gohan demanded, feeling the heroism in his blood starting to boil.
The woman clasped her hands together. "They said it could collapse at any moment! And to make matters worse… our city's daughter went in about 10 minutes ago to look for survivors and she hasn't even radioed the police or anything!"
Gohan gazed back at the flaming building, sensing at least one ki that was extremely weak. `I can't turn away… why do I have to be so caring?!' He ran past police and entered the fiery blaze, hearing screams of protest behind him. Even though brutally hot air hit him like a ki beam, Gohan trudged through it all, nearing the trembling ki. He soon found a young woman slumped on the floor in a heap. He picked her up carefully, and darted back the way he came. `It's a shame… I can't sense anyone else…' He emerged from the building, people gasping at his heroic efforts.
Gohan laid the girl down on the sidewalk as he crouched over her. That's when he realized she wasn't breathing. `I've studied CPR… I just hope I can use it right!' He bent down, placing his mouth on hers, and began blowing air into her lungs. The paramedics stood behind him, waiting for their cue. `Come on… come on, live!' Gohan thought, desperately trying to revive her. Suddenly, the girl made a horrible choking sound, and began breathing in the precious air. She groaned, opening her eyes, and found herself gazing into beautiful teal eyes. Gohan smiled, looking down into her azure eyes. He stood up as one of the paramedics put an oxygen mask over her mouth. Two others loaded her onto a stretcher and put her in the ambulance. Gohan turned to leave, when a paramedic stopped him.
"The young lady asked us if you could accompany her to the hospital until her father arrives," she said. "Would that be a problem?"
`I'll miss first period… maybe even second!' Gohan thought, `But I guess it would be okay… I mean, she is alone.'
"No, not at all," He replied, getting into the ambulance. The girl looked at him, her cobalt eyes full of pain, but her mouth was curved upwards in a smile.
"T-Thank …you…" she whispered softly.
Gohan smiled back. "You're welcome,"

Gohan waited outside her room, watching as personnel went in and out occasionally. He lightly tapped his fingers against the wall, in deep thought. `She got here safely… and her dad's coming… so why do I feel like I have to stay?'
Finally, a doctor emerged from the room and came up to the wondering saya-jin.
"Well, she has minor burns…" he said. " She has a few respiratory problems, but she'll be fine in a few weeks. But if it weren't for you young man, she surely would have died. But tell me… I am still puzzled at how you went in without any protective gear and knew where to find her… not to mention there isn't a scratch on you! Was it that strange glow they said was around you?" he asked.
Gohan rubbed the back of his head and sweatdropped. "Err… "
"Oh I see… you must a superhero!" he exclaimed. "Well, it looks like Videl has a new ally!"
Gohan cocked his head to one side. "Ally?"
"Yes, she is our city's number one volunteer for the police force. Don't tell me you've never heard of her!" The doctor laughed.
"Uh no, I haven't…" Gohan mumbled.
The doctor blinked. "Gee, really? Well you see, she's the daughter of-"
SLAM!
The door swung open and hit the wall with so much force it cracked.
"VIDEL!" A tall, hairy man with a huge afro stalked into the room, and Gohan could only recognize him as...
"Hercule?!"
