Herro gruffed at Pan. Then looked around the cave.
"Well, there's no food here. So we might as well go hunting." He said walking to the back of the cave. Pan shrugged.
"Ok. So, what are we going to hunt?" She asked. Herro stared at her. "What?" She asked.
"You've been nearly eaten by a snake demon, and a pack of wolves. Why do you want to go LOOKING for demons?" Herro asked. Pan huffed.
"If I go looking for them, and fight them, I'll get stronger. That's the whole reason I'm here." Pan said, putting her hands on her hips.
Herro raised an eybrow. "That's brave of you." He said, opening a large box. Pan was going to say 'thank you' but she was cut off. "But, stupid." He added. Pan growled.
"Why do you always have to call me stupid?!" She asked angerily.
Herro pulled out a large one bladed chinese sword from the box, and rested it on his shoulder. Pan blinked at the sword. It was bigger than she was. Its handle was red, and the hand gaurd looked like it was made of gold. it looked really well taken care of, and looked like it would sell for alot.
"Because you are." Herro said, matter a factly. Pan humfed. They both walked out of the cave.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------
The were still in the canyon, walking on the edges of a cliff. Pan tried not to look down.
"Why can't we fly?" She asked. Herro put a finger to his lips, silently telling her to be more quiet.
"If you flew it would give our position away to our prey. And climbing the canyons help you with your training." He whispered.
True, Pan was tired from climbing rock walls. So it must have given her some muscle. But she still didn't know what there 'prey' was.
Pan leaned to Herro. "What are we hunting for anyway?" She asked, trying to be as quiet as possible.
Herro pointed up. Pan looked up and tried not to gasp.
Above them was a huge bird like creature. It was bigger than an airplane, and it had the color of a parret. Pan squinted. It looked like part bird and lizard.
Herro tied his sword around his back. And began to climb the rock wall up to the monster. Pan looked at him and began to follow. When they got inside a small cave in the canyon, they hid behind a few rocks. Herro pointed to a nest.
Pan saw three of baby chiks. They had less feathers and were the size of Herro.
Herro lied on the ground floor, and pulled Pan down. Pans face hit the dirt. Pan raised her face to yell at Herro, but Herro covered her mouth with his hand. Pan looked at the babys and saw a large bird creature, feading them.
The mother walked out the cave and flew away. Herro peeked around the cave, to see if there were anymore adults. He got up and grabbed his sword. Pan got up.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"What does it look like? I'm getting food." He said plainly.
Pan gasped. "You better not mean those babys!" She yelled.
"Yes I do mean these babys." He said, walking to the chicks. "Now if you don't mind, I'm hungry." He said. He approuched the babys and raised his sword.
"NO!!" Pan screamed. She ran to Herro and tackled him to the ground. The chicks began to chirp cutly at the sight of Pan causing harm to Herro.
"What are you doing?!" He asked getting off the floor.
"You can't hurt them!" She yelled, blocking his passage to the baby birds.
"You're kidding me? The're the easyist things to get around here!" He yelled pointing at the chicks with his sword.
"Yeah, but the're babys!" She countered.
"Big deal! Animals eat babys whenever possible! It's the easyist and safist thing to do, now get out of my way!" He ordered. Pan crossed her arms.
"No." She said stubbornly.
Herro growled. "Maybe you should listen to the guy with the big sword! Now move!" He ordered again. Pan glared at Herro, and Herro glared right back. Then Pan kicked Herro in the shin, hard.
"AHH!" Herro yelled in pain. Herro dropped his sword and fell on his side gripping his shin in pain.
The chicks began to cutly chirp again, at the sight of him falling to the ground. Pan began to chuckle too. Herro glared at Pan, and the chicks. He got up on his feet.
"SHUT UP!" He yelled. Both Pan, and the chicks were silenced. Herro was panting. He picked up his sword.
"Listen Pan. These chicks are the safest way to get a good meal. There meat is full of protien, there feathers make good stuffing for pillows and blankets, and there bones make good weapons. Now will you move?" He asked trying to stay calm. Pan huffed.
"No." She said just as stubbornly as before.
Herro sighed angerily. "Well, whatelse are we going to hunt for? You're not crazy enough to fight an adult, are you?" He asked.
Pan blinked, then smirked. She began to run towards the caves mouth.
"C'mon Herro! Where going hunting!" She yelled, and flew off.
Herro glared at her. "I was being SARCASSTIC!!" he yelled. He glared at the chicks. Then growled. "You got lucky." He said to them. He ran out of the cave and followed Pan.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------
~Somwhere in the canyon not to long after~
Pan was flying in the canyon. She kept looking left, right, up, down, but she couldn't find an adult bird. She also wanted to find a male, she didn't want to kill a mother.
Herro quickly flew in front of Pan, blocking her way. He had an angery face and his arms were crossed. Pan huffed.
"Move. I'm looking for dinner." She said, her anger slowly coming back.
"Are you a maniac!?" Herro yelled, Pan eeped and almost fell from the sky from the scream. She regained her composher and humphed.
"Look. There's no way I'm hurting those babys. And there's no way in hell I'm letting you hurt them." She said stubbornly. Herro growled, then turned around not facing her.
"Well there's nothing left in this canyon that's edibale. So what are you looking for?" He asked impaitently.
Pan smirked. "Whatelse? An adult." She said simply. Herro turned right around.
"NO! The adults are blood thirsty, and powerfull. I can barly stand up to one male adult by myself, and not leave without a broken bone or two!" He said, a vein popping on his forhead.
"Well you wont be alone this time. You got me to help." She said smiling confidently. Herro sighed.
"What the hell can you do to help? You can't stand up to a lowly snake demon, so how are you going to help me against an adult bird demon?" He asked insulting her a little.
Pan humphed angerily. "You just watch." She said flying past Herro. Herro blinked then flew past her, and got in front of her again.
Pan growled a little. Then her angery face became surprised, when Herro took her hand and began to drag her the oppisit way.
"If we're looking for an adult male, you're going the wrong way." He said with a monotone voice.
Pan blinked, then smiled. She flew next to Herro and looked at her hand, and blushed. Herro was still holding Pans hand.
"Uh.. Y-You can let go now." She said blushing. Herro looked at there hands, blushed furiously. He got an angery face and threw her hand down.
"W-What are you doing holding my hand woman?!" He asked embarrisingly.
Pan huffed. 'You're the one who took my hand in the first place.' She thought. Herro began to fly to the destination. Pan looked at him, then her hand, then blushed. She flew closly to Herro and caught a glimpse of his face. 'He's... kinda cute.' She thought blushing more. She shook her head, trying to get those thoughts out of her head.
Herro looked at her, while she shook her head. He began to fly off again. 'Weirdo.' He thought.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------
The pair flew down from the sky and landed on the top of a canyon cliff. Herro groutched and began to slowly walk to the edge, and Pan did the same. They got to the edge and looked down.
On a smaller cliff was a BIG demon bird. Herro couldn't help but smirk. Males were always the ones to put up a good fight. Pan was a little scared. She looked at Herro, leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"Is that a male?" She asked.
"Yeah. You could tell by the color of its feathers." He pointed to there prey. It's wings were red, and the rest was jet black. "The males have red feathers to attrat females. The more red, the more the girls will like 'em." Herro informed. Pan blinked.
'He's pretty smart.' She thought.
"This guy doesn't have that much red in his feathers, I dout he's had any girlfriends. But that doesn't mean he isn't he isn't tough. He's strong." Herro whispered, grinning fully now.
"How can you tell?" Pan asked raising an eybrow.
"Bigger they are, the harder they fall." Herro ansered happily. Pan sweat dropped.
'He MUST be a saiyen. He's acting way to happy about finding a strong beast.' Pan thought. 'But that's impossible. He's my age... I think.' Pan thought. How old was Herro? Where did he come from? And why the hell did he have that tail? Thoughts like these flooded Pans mind.
Herro began to slowly and quietly walk to the right of the cliff. He waved his hand at Pan telling her to go to the oppisit side. Pan did so. Herro put up five fingers. Pan looked at them and got ready to ambush the demon. Four fingers. Pan and Herro clinched there fists. Three fingers. Herro and Pan stood up. Two fingers. Pan put her hands together and a small blue light came to life in her hands. Herro put his right hand behind him, and opened them a little, like he was holding a imaginary ball. One finger. Pan began to chant the words of her family's trade mark attack. Herro's hand began to glow a dark orange.
"NOW!" Herro yelled, throwing his hand forward. A fireball shot out of his hand.
"HA!" Pan yelled. Her kamehameha wave shooting out of her hands at there prey.
The beam of blue light and the ball of fire hit the cliff. But the bird flew out of the range of fire, just before it hit. It flew quickly inbetween Pan and Herro. It turned toward Pan, and tried to swat at her, with one of his enormous clawed paws at her. Pan ducked, then jumped and kicked the creature under its mouth. After Pans attack, Herro jumped and kicked the bird behind the head. The bird fell and got up quickly, it sweeped it's long scally tail under its opponets feet. Pan jumped, but Herro fell from the attack. It raised its tail above Herro and swung down cracking the earth underneath. Herro rolled to his right, avoiding any damage, and blasted a gold energy ball at the demons face. It screeched, and took a few steps back. Pan came flying in and punched it in its face. The demon fell off the cliff, screeching.
Pan landed next to Herro, and offered him her hand. Herro looked at her hand and growled. He got up by himself.
"Where were you!? That thing almost ate me!" He yelled. Pan growled also.
"I was catching my breath! Can you blame me? That thing is super fast!" She yelled back.
A loud screech was heard. This one sounded angery. The demon bird came flying up past the two warriors faster than before. Herro and Pan closed there eyes from the wind it made as it passed them. It flew above them like a vulture.
"Get ready. It's pissed now." Herro warned.
The bird screeched again, and dived for them at great speed. Pan and Herro jumped away from it, but the bird turned and thwacked Pans shoulder with it's claws. Pan flew towards a stone wall, making a small crater. The bird put his beake between Pan, pulled her out and tried to crush her. Pan quickly put her hands on his beake to try not to get crushed. Herro jumped and tried to kick the demon again, but the bird caught his foot and slammed him to the ground. He picked him up and threw him and spat Pan roughly. Herro and Pan skidded across the top of the cliff. Pan and Herro got up, fatigued. The demon bird glared at them.
"When.. did this thing... get so strong?" Pan asked, holding her frail arm. 'Damn! I think that thing might have broken my arm...' She thought bitterly.
Herro stood up panting. "Somtimes... when these things are..." Herro stopped to catch his breath. "Really, really pissed. They get stronger." He said.
"What?! Why didn't you tell me eariler?! I would have tried to take out quicker!" Pan yelled in frustration.
Herro got a tired 'I don't want to deal with you bitchy-ness right now' look on his face.*
*Heres what it looks like on the computer. >.<; On with the story. =D
'She just as tired as I am, but she can still yell?' Herro thought angerily.
Herro looked at Pan, and noticed her holding her arm.
"Is you arm broken?" He asked. Pan nodded. "Damn..." Herro cursed. Herro stood up. "Stay put. I'm dealing with this guy, by myself." Herro said to Pan.
"And you call me, an idiot. You can't take that thing alone." She argued. Herro walked toward his enemy, not taking his eyes off of it.
He put his arms across his chest, and tucked his chin between them. He crouched his legs a little, and began to growl a litte. Soon red chi began to enevlope his body. And soon it turned gold.
Pans eyes widened. "No way." She whispered.
Herro's hair began to stand up a little, and started to change color. His eyes started to flash a brillient green. He opened his arms and rowred. His aurua turned gold compltly, along with his hair, and tail. His green eyes glared at the demon. He was a super saiyen.
