Pan got up from her bed, and rubbed her eye. It was still very dark outside, and she had no idea what time it was.
"How long was I asleep?" Pan asked, looking out the large window. Pan got up and walked to get closer to it. Outside, were many trees, and anchient temples, but one building cought her attention. It was large and almost completly covered in vines, and the trees surronding it looked dead. It gave Pan the creeps by looking at it, and Pan could feel a powerful energy from it.
Pan stepped away from the window and walked outside the room, clsing her door quietly behind her. She stood for a few seconds thinking what was in that temple.
'I hope we don't go into that one... it gave me the creeps. Then again, this whole jungle gives me the creeps.' Pan looked across the hall, and looked at the door to Herros room, and sighed. There were still alot of questions concerning Herro, and not alot of the ansers were coming. Who was the demon that "trained" him? Why was Herro in Teigra in the first place? How did Herro get to Earth? How did Herro meet Tala, and how come Tala was so serious about him leaving? And how is Pookey... Herro?
Pan thought for a moment. "Where is the little guy anyway?" Pan asked herself. She hadn't seen him for a while, not since he told her about Herros past. Pan pushed the question asside and started to walk down the large stairway, leading into the throne room. Inside, she saw the giant white wolf Tala, lying next to the destroyed wall, gazing apon her land.
"Why are you out of bed girl?" Tala asked Pan, not looking at her. Pan scratched the back of her head.
"I couldn't sleep, I guess." She ansered.
"Go back to sleep. You'll need your rest for tommorow." There was brief silence between the demon and saiyen girl. Then Pan had to ask.
"Is that temple were going to... the one with all the vines... and dead trees?"
"Yes, it is." She ansered. "You must have felt it... felt his powers. Were you scared?" Tala asked, now looking at Pan. Pan was silent for a few seconds, then shook her head.
"No! Don't be rediculas! I seen worse." This was half-true. The power of Omega Shinron was much more overwhelming... but he didn't give Pan such a feeling of dread.
Tala laughed at her attitude.
"What?!" Pan asked angerily.
"Saying you're not afraid is simple, but when going into the temple it won't be so easy. and facing Indivar is another story completly." Tala said, smiling her fangs.
Pan looked at Tala, then out the wall. Outside Pan could see the temple again, and knew Tala was right.
"Can I ask a question?" Pan said all of a sudden.
"What is it?"
"What happened here? In Teigra I mean."
"What do you mean?" Tala asked.
"Well, I know that Teigra had a celiviation. So what happened to it? Everything here in Teigra is all destroyed."
Tala was silent. then finally said, "It is simple; A demon destroyed it. She wiped out all of Teigra, with her hate and her minions."
"This demon... she wouldn't be the same demon who trained Herro, is she?" pan asked a little nervously. Tala looked at Pan wide eyed, then calmed down some.
"Yes, she was."
"Herro didn't help her, did he?" Pan asked hastily. Tala looked at her curiously.
"No. It was not Herros choice if that's what you mean. But he did help kill." Tala said sadly. Pan sat down. Even though Tala just told her, Pan had a suspition Herro had to do somthing with it. Is that the reason Tala doesn't want Herro in teigra anymore?
"Do you want Herro to leave, because he killed the people of Teigra?" Pan asked seriously.
"Yes. But it's not out of hate of him. I don't want Herro to live here anymore, because he hates it here." Pan blinked. "Herro doesn't have any memory of his life when he was manipulated. A huge chunk of his past is missing. But he is haunted by small bits and peices, and they all consist of him killing, him being torchered, and a face of a woman he would always hate and fear. I want Herro to leave Teigra and start over, make new happy memorys." Tala looked at Pan. "And I think you're the only one who can help him."
Pan started to shake. Then asked. "What's your deal with him anyway? You act cold to him, but it sounds like you love him..."
"I do love Herro, he's like the child I can never have. I act cold to him because Herro doesn't want my feelings. Even though I like being with him, and having him in Teigra, I know he can't stay. He should go with you, to your world. He doesn't belong here in Teigra, he belongs in your world."
Pan shook for a moment then nodded, and walked up the stairs again. Tala looked out the wall again, and stared at the eerie temple.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------
"Huh?" Pan asked, as she looked around. Everything was pitch black, nothing could be seen. Then a loud 'click' came from behind her. Pan turned around and saw her family and friends in a large spotlight. They were all waving at her and seemingly calling her name, but it was as if they were all put on mute. Pan squinted and saw in the middle was Goku. He was grinning ear to ear, and had an arm around Chi-chi.
"Grandpa!" Pan called happily. Pan was about to run towards them, when she heard a sniffing sound from behind her.
Pan turned, and saw the back of a little boy. He was small, looked beat up, had spiky black hair, and didn't looked well fed. And he had a brown monkey tail. The boy sniffed again. Pan looked behind her, seeing her family still calling out for her silently, then back at the boy.
"Herro?" She asked. The boy turned around, and sure enough, it was Herro. He looked the age of seven or eight, and his dark hazy eyes were full of tears. "Herro?" Pan asked again, this time reaching a hand toward him. Herro closed his eyes tight, like he was expecting to be hit. Pan stopped her hand, then moved again towards his face. She stroked his forhead moving his bangs, and cupped his cheek.
"Herro... why are you crying?" She asked. Herro looked up and stared at her, then said in a scared shakey voice.
"T-they called m-me a demon... and st-started to h-hit me..." He ansered.
"Who hit you?" Pan asked. When Herro said nothing, Pan tried to stroke his forhead again, but this time her hand went through Herro, like he was a shadow. Pan stepped back in shock, then tried to touch him again, but her hand just went through the weeping boy again.
Then a tall figure apeared in front of Herro. Her face was shadowed, and she wore a long white dress, and many gold and jewlry. She had feathers in her long bright red hair, and her nails were long and black. She croutched to Herros hight, and brushed his face with her hand like Pan had.
"There there, will you tell me what happened?" She asked in an echoy voice.
"T-they called m-me a demon... and st-started to h-hit me..." He repeated, this time breaking into tears and wails. The woman embraced Herro in a warm hug, and started to stroke his hair like a mother would.
"Don't let there words hurt you. You're not a demon, you're a beutiful young boy." She said. Herro shook his head.
"Then why do I look so differnt from everyone?! Why do I have a tail?! Why does that light come from my hands when I want people to be harmed?!"
The woman lifted his chin, "That's because you are special. People fear things they don't understand, and they don't understand you at all. So, they want you to fear them, by hurting you, and saying bad things to you." She said stroking Herros hair again. Herro closed his eyes tightly, and hugged the woman. "It'll be okay, my little Herro, it'll be okay."
The sceane fadded, and the darkness along with it. And soon after, Pan was in the middle of a burning village. Pan gasped and covered her mouth as she looked apon the sceane. People were on the ground dead, with a look of horror on there faces. Huts burned, and the moon in the night sky was painted red. And in the middle of the village was the teenage Herro. Herro turned and faced Pan, his hair was blond and his green eyes were souless and looked inraged.
"Herro!" Pan called running towards him. But before she could get to him the same woman apeard behind Herro, the woman was looking right at Pan. Pan stopped, and glared at the woman. She wrapped her arms around Herro's stomic and kissed his neck. Pan blushed with anger. "LET GO OF HIM!" Pan screamed.
The woman ignored Pan, which just infuriated her more, and started to whisper things into his ear. Pan couldn't hear what she was saying, but she could see Herro gripping his hand so hard it started to bleed.
"What are you saying? Don't listen to her Herro!" Pan yelled. Then everything dissapeared again, and everything became dark once more. Pan looked around, hastily calling Herros name.
"He can't hear you." The womans voice whispered in the darkness. Pan looked around for the woman.
"Where are you?! Come out and fight me, you coward!"
Pan heard the woman laugh, then she apeard in another spotlight. "Why should I? Fighting a weakling like you, would be a waist of my time."
"Take that back! I can kick your ass back to whever the hell you came from!" Pan growled.
"Hm... Maybe I should make Herro kill you instead. I can make him do it you know. He's so easy to manipulate..." She sighed.
Pan jumped in front of her, and punched her in the face, knocking the demon back a few feet.
"Stay away from Herro!" Pan commanded. The woman got up and glared at Pan. Her face, that was hiddden by shadow, now looked demonic. Her eyes were red, and her puipels were blue, she grew large, dangerous looking fangs. And (to Pans delight) her jaw was bleeding like she had a tooth knoked out.
"You bitch! That hurt!" She screamed.
"Good!" The woman growled, and flew towards Pan. She hit Pan in the stomic and kicked her away into the darkness.
Soon, they were fighting in the darkness, the only light coming from chi attacks. Pan wasn't doing so well, her opponent had an advantege. Pan kept dodging chi attacks and tried to counter punchs and kicks, but wasn't doing well. The demon apeared in front of Pan, then appeared behind her in a flash, and kicked Pan in her spine. Pan flew acorss the ground, landing on her front.
The woman walked up to Pan, and picked her up by her neck.
The demon humphed. "Ha! It seems the only powerful thing is your mouth." She mocked. Pan gripped her arm.
"Herro..." She whispered. "Stay... away from... Herro."
"I don't think I will." The woman raised her hand, her nails became sharp like claws. "I think I'll play with him some more." The woman raised her claws above her head, and struck down.
Pan gasped and opened her eyes immeaditly. She was still in her dusty room, in the abandoned palace. She looked around the room, and saw that the sun started to rise from the edge of the dimented jungle. Pan sighed in relife.
"It... was just a dream. But was that woman really the demon who trained Herro?" Pan asked. Pan had heard of her, and the picture of her wasn't detailed about her. So how did she have a dream about her?
Pan rubbed her neck. "It felt so real." Pan looked outside the window toward the rising sun.
'There's no way I could have known what the demon looked like... so how did I dream about her?' Pan thought about the way Herro looked in the middle of the fire, then the way he looked as a little boy. 'I knew Herro was poorly treated when he was little, but to be treated like an animal? To be called a demon, and be beaten up?' Pan looked toward her door, then back to the window.
"I wonder... if Herro hated those people. Was he really completly manipulated? Or did he kill them by his choice?" Pan said outloud.
