Chapter 15: Note to self- Never shop with ChiChi and Bulma EVER again …

 

It was 9 in the morning and ChiChi was going through the halls banging a ladle on a frying pan, trying to wake everyone up. Goten and Minako were out of their room as soon as they heard the racket because they thought something happened.

 

“Oh good, you two are finally up ^_^. Now go get dressed, we're leaving to the mall right after we eat breakfast.”

 

Goten groaned and left back into his room while mumbling to himself.

 

While Goten and Minako were changing ChiChi noticed that Goku was the only one who didn't come out into the hallway. So with her frying pan and ladle she walked into her and her husband's room.

 

She saw that he was still sleeping like a baby, as if nothing had even happened. So ChiChi went over to him and smacked the frying pan right next to his ear, “C'mon Goku rise and shine!!”

 

Goku continued to sleep as though he heard nothing. So ChiChi banged the ladle against the frying pan even louder and harder. Still Goku heard nothing. Wow, is he deaf or something!? When he sleeps, you've got better luck waking up a bear from hibernation.

 

ChiChi dropped the ladle and grabbed the handle of the pan with her two hands. She lifted it and then slammed it straight down on Goku's face.

 

“AAAAHHHH!!! WHAT!? WHAT'S GOING ON!?”

 

Goku sprang up and looked around frantically trying to see what just happened. He was okay, but let's just say ChiChi's frying pan wasn't. She always knew Goku's head was made out of metal or something, that's why when she slammed it down the frying pan shaped into a weird form.

 

Goku looked questioningly at his wife, “ChiChi, what happened to your frying pan?”

 

ChiChi looked angrily at Goku, “You wouldn't wake up to I had to use my frying pan to wake you up! GOKU THIS IS THE 6TH ONE THIS WEEK! You are buying me a new one!”

 

Goku nodded his head, “Okay ChiChi… but why do you have to keep using frying pan?”

 

“Because I can't use anymore lamps and any other kitchen utensils won't wake you, trust me I've tried before.”

 

Goku got out of bed and started changing while his wife went back downstairs.

 

 

 

Finally after everyone ate breakfast ChiChi got up and said; “NOW FAMILY, WE SHALL GO… TO THE SUPER SON FAMILY CAR!!!”

 

Minako was confused, “But mom… where is the car?”

 

ChiChi smiled and reached into the pocket of her purple kimono-like dress that went down to her knees and pulled out a small capsule, “This is where the car is.”

 

Minako smiled, “Hey! I've seen that before! You used it when you picked me up at Grandpa Ox King's house!”

 

Goku nodded, “That's right, hey ChiChi how about we let Minako get the car out of the capsule.”

 

ChiChi smiled, “Okay, now Minako all you gotta do is take the capsule and press the button. After that you throw it, so that the car doesn't hit anyone.”

 

ChiChi handed Minako the capsule as soon as her daughter nodded. The Minako pressed the button and threw it.

 

“NO MINAKO WE'RE STILL IN THE HOUSE!!”

 

But ChiChi was too late, the capsule was opened and the car was in the kitchen. Luckily it didn't fall on top of anyone, though it did break the table and pinned the 4 of them against the wall.

 

Her parents and brother looked at Minako while between the car and wall, “MINAKO!!”

 

Minako looked back from her parents to her brother and apologized, “I'M SO SORRY!!! I'M SO SORRY!!!! I'LL GET US OUT!!”

 

She pushed the car from everyone and into the middle of the kitchen. At least now they had room to move.

 

Goku sighed, “How are we supposed to get the car out of the kitchen? It won't fit through the kitchen door, and we have no back door. So what are we gonna do?”

 

Minako bowed over and over apologizing, “I am so very sorry!! I am so stupid for not realizing the car would get stuck in the kitchen!! I am so sorry!!!”

 

Goten crossed his arms, “You really are an idiot sometimes, you know that?”

 

Minako then hit Goten on the head, “WHO ASKED YOU!? I'M APPOLIGIZING TO MOM AND DAD YOU JERK!”

 

Goten fell on the floor rubbing his head, “Ow… that hurt…”

 

Goku chuckled nervously, “Uh yeah, we still don't know how to get it out of the house…”

 

ChiChi yelled, “OKAY THAT'S IT I CAN'T BE CAPTIVE IN MY OWN KITCHEN!!” She ran into the driver's seat and yelled threw the opened window, “GET IN!!”

 

Everyone quickly got into the car, with Goku in the passenger seat and the two kids in the back seat.

 

Goku looked at his wife, “Uh ChiChi… are you sure you know what you're doing?”

 

ChiChi laughed evilly, “Heh he, of course just hang on tight!”

 

With that she turned on the ignition and stepped on the gas. The car rammed straight through the wall. The next thing they knew, the car was outside the house and looking back there was a huge hole in the wall where the car crashed through.

 

Looking back at the hole ChiChi whistled, “Wow, that's a huge hole… you're gonna fix it later, Goku.”

 

“What! Me? But ChiChi… I don't wanna; you're the one who made the hole…”

 

He suddenly stopped talking as soon as he saw ChiChi's face, it was one of those faces that said, “I'm gonna kill you if you don't.”

 

 

 

Finally they made it to the mall. Minako was overwhelmed at the sight, it was so BIG!!! Minako ran out of the car as soon as her mother found a parking space.

 

She ran right in the middle of the road because that's how smart she is. And a car was coming; she turned around as soon as she heard the car honk. But it wasn't slowing down, Minako's legs stiffened and Goku ran out of the car and screamed, “MINAKO WATCH OUT!”

 

Luckily someone grabbed Minako and slid across the ground with her on top right before the car hit. The driver yelled out the window, “ARE YOU BLIND YOU IDIOT!?” And drove away.

 

Minako opened her eyes to see who had just saved her and what do you know... it was TRUNKS! Trunks looked at Minako and said, “Are you okay?” And smiled gently.

 

Minako got off Trunks really quickly and bowed apologizing, “I AM SO SORRY!!!! I'M SUCH AN IDIOT!!!!”

 

Trunks got up and patted the dirt off himself, then Goku, ChiChi, and Goten ran up to the two. ChiChi looked at Minako, “Are you okay, sweetie? Why did you do that? Oh no, it's my fault, I didn't tell you about the cars!”

 

Goku looked at Trunks, “Hey Trunks, thanks for saving Minako! But why are you here anyway?”

 

“Oh, mom wanted to go shopping for school stuff today. She insisted on coming with me.”

 

Goten elbowed Trunks, “Yeah right, you were probably stalking Minako and you probably paid that dude to try to hit her so that you would save her AND HAVE HER ON TOP OF YOU!!!”

 

Trunks hit Goten on the head with his face all red and angry, “You're such an idiotic pervert, Goten!”

 

“Hey you guys!”

 

The five of them turned around and saw Bulma running towards them. When she finally got to them she tried to catch her breath, “I saw everything, a car almost hit Minako right? Are you alright?”

 

Minako nodded, “Yes, I am so sorry for causing so much trouble!! Please forgive me!”

 

Goten leaned next to his sister and said, “You're not sorry, you liked being on top of Trunks didn't you?”

 

Minako was confused, “Huh?”

 

Trunks hit Goten, “SHUT. UP.”

 

Goten pretended to have his feelings hurt, “Trunks… you hurt me!! But I'm your best friend… WAAAAHHH!!”

 

The adults didn't hear what Goten said so they just stood there confused as ever.

 

ChiChi clapped her hands together, “Well enough of this! Let's go SHOPPING!!!! TO THE MALL!!”

 

Bulma yelled, “YEAH, YEAH!!! LET'S GO TO THE MALL!!! I can't wait to find a cute little suit for Trunks.”

 

Trunks blushed in embarrassment, “MOM!! I'm not 4 years old y'know!!!”

 

ChiChi and Bulma took off; Goku, Minako, Trunks, and Goten had a hard time keeping up.

 

 

 

While inside the mall ChiChi and Bulma attacked all the stores which had a “SALE” sign on it first and only then the rest of them. After 2 hours Goku was holding 10 bags, Goten was holding 7, Minako was holding 4, and Trunks was holding 15 since he had to hold both his and his mom's stuff.

 

The four of them dropped down on the floor and yelled, “CAN WE PLEASE TAKE A BREAK!?”

 

ChiChi and Bulma shook their heads disappointingly, “Honestly we've only been here 2 hours! Do you know how much stores are left!?”

 

Goku looked up at his wife, “ZERO!! C'mon Chichi, we've been to every store! Me and the kids are all tired; can't we at least eat something?”

 

Bulma and ChiChi looked at each other and nodded, “Alright, but first you need to drop the bags off at the car.”

 

So the four of them went back to the cars and dropped off all the bags, it was a miracle that all of them fit!

 

After that, they all headed for the food court. Minako started drooling at all the different smells there was. Tacos, Asian food, Pizza, Hamburgers, French Fries, Ice Cream, Cookies, and so much more.

 

Goku got a huge sandwich with everything in it you can imagine and iced tea. Trunks got a hamburger, fries, and a soda. Goten got 3 slices of pepperoni pizza and soda. Minako got a serving of chicken teriyaki with white rice and Sunny D. Everyone ended up getting something different, except for Bulma and ChiChi who both got salad and water.

 

Sometimes those two are so alike that it seemed as those they were twins in another life that did everything the same. No wonder they were such good friends.

 

Then Goku asked Bulma, “Oh by the way, did you guys find Vegeta yet?”

 

Everyone stopped eating and looked at Bulma and Trunks.

 

Bulma looked down, “No… Vegeta didn't come back.”

 

Trunks was holding his empty soda can and crushed it in his hand but didn't say anything.

 

Goku chuckled trying to cheer up the mood, “Oh don't worry, Vegeta won't be gone for long. I'll probably see him training and that's when I'll talk to him, either that or I'll sense his power level.” Goku stood up with his tray in his hands, “Well I'm done. Is everyone else?”

 

Everyone threw away their garbage and finally convinced Bulma and ChiChi that they didn't need anymore stuff.

 

Bulma and Trunks walked the Son family back to their car are said their good byes like, “See you in a few weeks,” and stuff like that.

 

After they sat in the car ChiChi started driving towards the gate and stopped at a red light. Next to them stopped a car and it was BULMA'S!! ChiChi rolled down her window and so did Trunks who was sitting in the passenger seat next to Bulma.

 

“Hey Bulma, how `bout for old times sake we do `Speed Highway'?”

 

“'Speed Highway'? We haven't played that since we were teenagers! But I gotta warn you; this new car isn't like my old one.”

 

“Hey, the car doesn't matter! What matters is the driver, oh look! It's gonna turn green!”

 

With that the two windows rolled up and Minako asked, “Uh what's `Speed—“

 

Minako didn't even finish that sentence; ChiChi took off along with Bulma. The impact sent Goku, Goten and Minako pressed into the seat. The two cars went on the highway and started going past all the automobiles in their way.

 

If they hadn't been buckled up the three would've been out the back window by now.

 

Goku stammered, “U-uh ChiChi… are y-you sure th-this is s-s-safe? I mean the kids are in the car and…”

 

ChiChi yelled, “Not now Goku! I gotta beat her!”

 

At last they were off the highway and nearing Capsule Corp, that's when ChiChi yelled, “THERE'S THE FINISH LINE!!!”

 

Bulma and ChiChi's cars were neck to neck but as soon as they reached the entrance of the house the two cars stopped. The passengers flew forward and then the seatbelts pulled them back.

 

ChiChi unbuckled her seat belt and slumped in her seat, “Phew that was so COOL!!!”

 

She got out of the car and so did Bulma.

 

“Wow ChiChi, you totally beat me!”

 

“No way, you were way in front!”

 

“Nuh uh, you won!”

 

“No I didn't, anyone could've seen that you beat me.”

 

Trunks got irritated so he got out of the car are yelled, “OKAY IT'S A DRAW! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW!? I'm gonna be inside!”

 

Trunks stomped into the house. Bulma and ChiChi laughed and said goodbye, and finally ChiChi got into the car. She sighed and looked at her family. The three of them were still in shock and couldn't move, “Oops, sorry everyone. I guess I got a little carried away…”

 

Goten yelled, “A little!? You were going like 175 miles per hour!!!!”

 

Goku looked at his son, `Now Goten there's no need to yell.”

 

Minako was still shaken up, “C-can we please g-g-g-go home?”

 

ChiChi put on her seatbelt, “Oh yes, that's right! Goku still needs to fix the wall in the kitchen.”

 

And with that the car drove away, but no one but Minako realized some one was on the roof of Capsule Corp. It was too high up and the sun was setting so all she saw was a shadowy figure.
