Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ The Alpha Universe SaiyaJins ❯ The Alpha Universe SaiyaJins ( Chapter 1 )
The Alpha Universe Saiyajins
A proud race, advanced in technology, and even more evolved physically, was known throughout their sector as the strongest, most admirable species in the universe. Many looked up to them for help, and it was gladly given by these generous warriors, gentle yet fierce, kind yet ruthless.
The race was called the Saiya-jin, humanoid in appearance, the average individual standing at 6'5", and bearing a brown furry, monkey-like tail. Their average power sat around 500 at the most, with some topping 1000; thus labelled elites. These warriors were rare. The Saiya-jin had a sixth sense which no other race could really top. Every one of them was born with a natural ability to fight, and an instinct that proved deadly to all that challenged them.
And over time, many did challenge their awesome power. Over many centuries, crusades, battles, wars…everything…was thrown at the race who did not seek power, but freedom. After the numerous broken alliances, icy threats and attempted subjugations, the Saiya-jin race became hardened and cold to the universe, trusting no one but their sixth sense. At one stage, the race was pushed to its limit. The rough, dark façade was shattered by one individual, who could no longer stand the ridiculous acts of the other races, and broke a legend, 1000 years old. A Super Saiya-jin emerged, where in his Oozaru state, he became so much more powerful than anything in the universe before…but he destroyed himself in a deadly rage, taking the enemy with him. After a few hundred years, everything was back to normal…fighting for survival.
But being so untrusting, the race stuck to itself and made no allies, only enemies from their coldness, and eventually violence, to their surrounding former allies. They became feared more than ever, and even stronger than before as they turned to themselves for their need to fight. All seemed to calm down for a few centuries…until the ultimate disaster struck…Armageddon.

From a doomed world, several hundred small, round white spacepods made their way into the darkness of the universe. A small fleet of them, only over a thousand, flew together in a swarm across many light-years, stopping on small planetoids every now and again to replenish their supplies. The remainders of the doomed warrior race, flying from their home planet which was destroyed by an asteroid shower even they were unable to stop with their awesome power.
Two generations after the original launch of the shuttles from the doomed planet of Saiya-sei, a perfect planet was found for their final settlement. By this time the oldest of the shuttles were barely hanging on, and the new ones were overcrowded with the growing population, which now succeeded two thousand. The planet was red, but lush with beautiful, nutritious foliage and abundant wildlife. The Saiya-jins were delighted to see the planet and took very little time to decide to make it their new destination, and permanent settlement.
Unfortunately for them, a race already existed on this planet. They were known as the Tsufuru-jin, and they were a very technologically advanced species. They were small in size, the average individual barely over 5 foot, but their technology was outstanding, They detected the incoming fleet and immediately took them as invaders, and declared war.
Even more unfortunately was the fact that over the many many centuries of harsh wars between invading races, the Saiya-jin had hardened their hearts to other races, and cared little for these creatures. Though a natural curiosity was aroused in them, and they were in a new quadrant altogether, so originally, when the new species had been discovered, the king of the race had decided that they would try to peacefully live on the same planet as the Tsufuru-jin, but it didn't go as planned. The Saiya-jin were attacked, and of course retaliated. The Tsufuru-jin were absolutely no match for the Saiya-jin, no matter how advanced their technology was. In a few years, they were crushed.
With little remorse, the Saiya-jin took over and renamed the planet 'Vegeta', after the king. Ever since then, every eldest son of the royal family was named after the planet, Vegeta-sei.
Of course, the Saiya-jin never realised that Lord Frieza of the Planet Trade already had the Tsufuru-jin subjugated under his power until it was too late. When Frieza arrived for his annual check-up of the race, he was shocked to find a larger, stronger race living on the planet once known as plant. But after some deep persuading, he convinced the Saiya-jin to join his organization. The Saiya-jin, with no other place to turn to, followed him loyally, with almost all of their trust.
The Saiya-jin excelled in the Planet Trade, and started to become stronger. Slowly, their elites became almost comparable to Frieza's own, with their power levels coming up to around five thousand at the most. After three decades, the still unaging Ice-jin Frieza made a decision to wipe out the race, because they were becoming a serious threat to his power.
One Saiya-jin, a low-level; third class to be exact, was recognised by some of Frieza's doctors. This Saiya-jin, named Bardock, had excelled so far in power level that he had exceeded the strength of the Saiya-jin king who was supposedly the strongest; sitting at a power level of 10 000. He was the one Frieza intended to exterminate, then, the whole race.
His two sons were off planet at the same, as well as the king's son and his bodyguard, and another unknown third-class infant, so they didn't see the atrocity wrought upon their peoples. Frieza decimated Vegeta-sei with one swift blow of a Deathball, wiping the entire planet clean of life…in fact, wiping the planet right off the Beta-quadrant map.
Armageddon twice in a row for the warrior race.
Ex-warrior race.
Doomed race.
Left in the hands of five individuals…who would make a new name in history for their heritage. No longer would the Saiya-jin be feared, but respected and looked up to once again.
Because a legend was born once again.
The legend.
After 3000 years the legend was broken, through Bardock's blood…his own son, Kakarotto. Though this Super Saiya-jin had a cold control to him…his rage was under his thumb, and he destroyed Frieza, the traitor of his heritage. He and the prince Vegeta lived on, though the bodyguard Nappa and Kakarotto's older brother and Bardock's eldest son, Radditz, were both dead from previous battles on Chikyuu-sei, the planet Kakarotto was sent to as a mere infant.
The legend came through in the pushy, arrogant prince too. Two Super Saiya-jins had emerged.
A third time, the legend came true. Making up for its long time in coming, the legend was repeated once again by the last surviving purebred Saiya-jin, Kumara, who like Kakarotto, was sent to another planet as an infant. His battles were similar, and he had the gruesome task of protecting himself against the Ice-jin, the race in which Frieza came from. This forced him up the tiers of Super Saiya-jin just as fast as Kakarotto, or Gokou as he became known as, and Vegeta.
The last three surviving Saiya-jins were eventually all killed, one by one, in battles and self-sacrifice in the name of others. At this point at the pinnacle of their existence, they had scarred the pages of history so strongly no one would ever forget the extinct monkey-like race. The imprints they burned into time were not negative, though, in fact; the very opposite. The Saiya-jin were remembered through these three as kind, generous, admirable, unbeatable, and infinitely 'good'.
As their final prayer to the universe, the Saiya-jin made sure that no evil was left in the universe, big or small, as much as they could help. Nothing left over was anything that the warriors they left in their midst couldn't handle.

So many years later, new evil raised its head elsewhere in their universe that they never thought existed. Once again, Kakarotto and Vegeta were resurrected from their rest and sent into the Delta Quadrant of another dimension, to face off against a horror none had equalled before except 8472, which became another enemy of the Saiya-jin because of their hostility.
One by one, the great knowns and heroes of the Saiya-jin were brought back to life to fight against the Borg, to protect their dimension, their galaxy, and all of the Alpha Universe. As the total rose to eleven on one Chikyuu-sei ship, the force was ready to defend their home.
They are waiting now.
Waiting for history to repeat itself.
Crusades, wars, battles.
Armageddon?
