Fifteen : The Tournament of the Z-The Tenchaki Budokai
"So" Videl said, as Angela ran away, "You're the Saiyaman"
"Saiyaman? I don't know what your talking about"
"C'mon Gohan, I saw that disguise flash off"
"Flash off? That's ridiculous" a moment Videl faltered, and Gohan picked up on this sharply," Your imagining things, Videl.'ve been here with Angela the whole time"
"Hmm"Videl murmured as she looked back on her memory. She remembered seeing Gohan sneaking around the fire trucks, but not Angela or Saiyaman. "Well"
"Y'see? You may need some rest. The heat's got to you" Gohan suggested, and he walked off with a cheery wave. "Phew"
Maybe your not Saiyaman. But I'll be watching you, Gohanwhoever you are
"So how was your date, Gohan?" Kajumi asked back at home.
"Ughterrible" Gohan replied.eyed him, Terrible, huh? Well, there may be hope for me yet
Monday, Gohan raced to school, without Nimbus.
Oh no, what am I gonna do? Videl mustn't have bought my storyand Angela, she's going to be so upset.I could've
Gohan looked down to see a market square being robbed by two men without masks or guns.
"The booty in this place is much better than the last time"
"Yeah" his companion agreed, "The police are such total slackers!"
Gohan landed in front of them. "Stop right there, O confounded criminals!"
"Get to class, kid" one of them snapped.looked to see he had his uniform on. I'm not Saiyaman! Ohwell
"That's my line, Gohan" a voice cried from the left. Videl swooped in and aimed a kick for the man, and it hit him right in the stomach, sending him back into the ground.He flipped back up though,and started on Videl.
"Videl"Gohan gulped.
"Come here, kid!"his companion, a great muscled man cried,and he dashed towards Gohan.
"You should get out of here, Gohan" Videl said.turned to her, and a punch from the man sent him back into the ground.
"Gohan!!" she cried in fear. "Ha!" she screamed, throwing her kick into his face, sending him unconscious and into the ground. She spun-kick the other one, and ran to Gohan's aid as they escaped." Gohan, are you okay? Gohan, please-"
Gohan stood up.
"Gohan yourcompletely okay! Not even a scratch or a cut-"
"Really? Wow! Guess I'm lucky today"
"Well Gohan I almost"
"Almost what?" Gohan asked.
"Well, this may seem stupid to you butbut I almost thought you were strong until I saw you get punched in the face and then I knew, but before that I didn't come in because I thought you could honestly handle them because I honestly thought you were the Saiyaman, but now I know your not after your fall. Gohan, please don't go fighting some more bad guys, okay?" she asked, rubbing his invisibly injured face," You just cant handle yourself out there"
Wow Gohan thought Maybe I should get punched in the face more often.
"Oh my god" the criminal driver told his muscled partner, "The girl, she creamed ya"
"It's not her I'm worried about, that was a slip" he replied, "It's the skinny kid"
"The geek?!"
"Yeah, there's something about him that I justdunno"ran off towards her helicopter. She wondered if she could make it to school in time, as she rose into the sky. As she did so, she saw Saiyaman taking flight into the air.
"Wow, just in time for a beagle" Gohan whispered to himself," Oh damn, this watch is wrong! And with her tailing me"he muttered as Videl's helicopter began to follow him.ducked below her but she flipped over. Gohan shot down to the ground, but persistent as ever she followed. He reached ground level and dashed along the road, the craft blasting after me.
"Oh my god!"
"Gosh!" Pedestrians cried.turned and held out his hand to the craft.
"Ahh!" Videl screamed within her helicopter, but Gohan caught it and held it back.
"Miss Videl, why do you follow me?"
"I just want to know who you are. I remember telling you I would"
"Yes, quite Ms.Videl"Saiyaman said."Goodbye now"
Gohan disappeared and behind a tree not so far away and then took flight as fast as he could towards school, though he knew he would be late.
the first lesson through the day, Saiyaman was once again called into action.
"Sorry I'm late, miss"a flustered Videl apologised to the English teacher as she ran to her seat.
"That's okay, Miss Videl, I quite understand your role in our society"
"Thank you" she called.
"Funny" Sharpener said," That both you and Gohan are late. Are you sure there's nothing going on between you?"
"Phh, get real Sharpener" Videl snapped." Wait, Gohan was late?"
Beside her Gohan hid behind his book. Videl turned to her own bag and unpacked
"Don't worry, you haven't missed anything, English today has been B-O-R-I-N-G I promise you" Erasa said.
"Miss Videl, Miss Videl!" Videl's watch cried.
"What is it, Chief?" she asked.
"There's been an animal theft. The new dinosaur attraction at the local circus, Rocky, is gone! Suspected thief armed and dangerous, running along the Merry Market as we speak"
"Right. Miss, may I be excused?" Videl asked.
"Criminals plaguing the city? Of course. You go, and good luck!"nodded and dashed out of the classroom. Gohan watched after her.

"Miss, can I be excused for a bathroom break?"
"No" the teacher snapped," Your community donations are much less noble. You have a reputation for leaving class and not returning!"
"Ido?"
"See, what did I tell you?" Sharpener whispered to Erasa," They're together.don't believe it!"bent his head and thoughtyes, maybe. He stood up again and tensed up his arms, then remembered to relax them. He began to focus himself, trying to release his energy without showing it.
"Mr. Gohan, sit down" the teacher said. "Gohan? Sit down!"there was a rumbling.A shaking.Gohan's energy release was affecting the classroom.The stands shook and books dropped.
"Earthquake!Beneath your seats, children! Hurry!"the teacher cried.Gohan headed for the door and turned into Saiyaman as the others hid, then dashed after Videl who was already at the end of the corridor.He appeared outside the school and hid behind the open door, waiting for Videl to go past. Sure enough, she dashed out and threw down a capsule, which exploded into her helicopter. She jumped in and blasted off.
"That girl"Saiyaman whispered, "She never gives up, does she?"took off into the air after the helicopter, and was soon ahead of it.
"I expected no less!" Videl cried, lowering her window, "So how did you know about my mission? Do you tail me?"
"I think that is what you do to me, Miss Videl" he said. Gohan you fool!
"I guess that's right. But I'm ordering you to stay out of my way, Gohan"
"What did you call me?"
"I know that you are Gohan. It all adds up"
"It does, Miss Videl? Maybe you should get some rest"
"Funny, that was what he said"
"Smart boy, I guess" Gohan replied, and he blasted off ahead of the helicopter. He didn't need the direction of it anymore as he was getting to grips with the city now. He lowered himself and glided across the sky, then hit the ground as a man carrying a small purple dinosaur tore past in his motorbike. Gohan appeared in front of him and the man swerved off into the kerb and toppled off. He hit the floor and slid along, the dinosaur in his arms.
"Back off, Saiya loser!" he called.
"Stop, foul criminal! Put down the"he looked at the dinosaur. "ChChobi?"
The man stood and kicked Gohan in the face. He stumbled back, the black glass over his eyes smashed.
"Oh nosomeone's going to knowbut"Gohan muttered. He pulled the glass out of his face and dodged the man's punch, then caught the falling dinosaur.
It's Chobihe's been stolen from his nest! I don't believe it andoh no, his parents! They'll come looking for himand then there'll be a city rampageI've known Chobi for years.I remember when Icarus first introduced usif they know it's me, maybe they'll be okay with me handling Chobi
Gohan turned to see Videl's helicopter honing in on him. She jumped out, as police cars swerved towards Gohan.
"Uh..oh"he murmured, as Chobi whined in his arms.
"So, you're the criminal Saiyaman, or should I sayGohan? Who'd have know a geek would steal a dinosaur? Opposites attract"
"I don't know why you keep calling me that, Ms. Videl" he said.
"There's the chump!" a man said.
"Who are you?" a policeman asked.
"I own that critter. He works in my circus, my best attraction"
Attraction, huh? So Chobi's been stolen twice. He must be terrified Gohan thought.
"What, the man on the floor?" a police officer beside him asked.
"Yeah, whatever, the one with the animal"
"Why sir, that's Saiyaman!A local hero!"
"That loser stole my Rocky!Now do you want me to report you for misconduct you lazy fool?"
"I'll apprehend him now sir"
"Who's that?" the boss asked, pointing at Videl.
"That's Videl. The daughter of Mr. Satan, a real hero! She'll take care of Saiyaman"real criminal crawled to the edge of the road and stood up.
Well well well, He thought, That's Videlthe daughter of Hercule Satanthe boss want's a fight with him and Johnny told me she was givin' him trouble over a heist at Merry Martthis will be the perfect opportunity to earn respect.
He pulled out his phone, "Boss" he whispered, "I've got a real prize her. Videl, Saiyaman and Rocky.Yes, I'm sure she'll lure Satan out"
"Hand it over, Saiyaman"ordered, "And maybe I'll go easy on you"
"Miss Videl you have misunderstood my actions. I mean no harm"
"Yeah right, tell it to the judge"
"MissVidel"Gohan said, sweat breaking out over him.Look at those people watchingwhat do I do without embarrassing Videl?
Videl dashed forward and kicked at Gohan, but he blocked and threw her back.
"Well, what are ya waitin for?"the boss asked the police.
"Sir?"
"Shoot them your moron!"
"Sir! He has only stolen a dinosaur, we cant shoot him"
"Damn well do it you stupid cop, what do my taxes do, pay for ya doughnuts?"flipped right over, his foot catching Videl in the face,sending her flying back, but she threw herself back up again.
"I'm sorry!" Saiyaman cried, in Gohan's voice.
"Gohan?"
"Miss Videl, that name is beginning to annoy me"
"And you-"Videl began, but she was cut off as a two men grabbed hold of her arms and lifted her up. "Hey, Hey get off of me!"
"No, Videl! Let go of her!"
"That dinosaur's mine, kid!" the original criminal cried, lunging towards Gohan. His leg swung round and kicked the man into the ground, sending him bouncing into a police car.
"Whoa!" the officer and the boss cried. The boss snatched the cop's gun.
"What are you doing?!"turned the gun on the criminal lying on top of the wrecked car. Saiyaman appeared and kicked the gun out of the boss's hands.
"So you're the culprit! Hand it over, loser!"turned to Videl, and saw her elbow the two men behind her. She turned round to see a giant man.
"Hello little girl, I'm the boss. See if you can handle ME!" He cried, kneeing Videl in the stomach. Saiayaman dashed forward, Chobi in hand, but the large man knocked him back, sending Chobi into the ground. He started to scream, to cry uncontrollably.
"Oh no, that's the parental call.." Gohan whispered. He jumped up and kneed the criminal boss in the face, but he grabbed Saiyaman's leg and threw him into the ground.was then grabbed by the man. "You punks, bring the champ or she gets it"
Gohan watched in horror as he drew a knife,but then Videl elbowed him in the stomach.
Wowshe really can handle herself
Then a gigantic bird butted the boss forward, but before he could collapse on Videl, she slid from underneath him to watch.
"No, dad, I've got your Chobi!" Gohan cried. He ran over to Chobi, but was confronted by Videl yet again.
"Let go of that dinosaur, you thief!" she ordered, aiming a kick at him. Gohan blocked it and grabbed Chobi, then offered it to Chobi's father, but it only attacked Gohan. He dropped Chobi who was grabbed by Videl. Chobi's mother went for Videl, and it was Saiyaman's arm that took the peck, which didn't hurt him.let the bird go into the air and swoop, and he followed.
"No please, don't do this!" he cried.
"He cant understand you, Saiyaman!" Videl cried, "But I do! I'm sorry I didn't believe you, take the bird! I'll make sure nothing happens"
Saiyaman smiled, and the bird rammed him into the ground "Please!" he cried, "I'm Go-"
"You were about to say Gohan!" Videl cried, "Your eyes! You have Gohan's eyes!"
"Jeez, you only just noticed my glass was smashed in now?!" Gohan cried.
"I was distracted" she replied. "Lookout!"'s father came for Gohan, but he pushed his legs out and knocked him out.bird fell back and crashed into the ground. Chobi waddled towards him, crying.
"Videl, I've got to go" Gohan whispered, "Take care of the police, I'll take care of the bird"
"You're a good man, Gohan!"
"Miss Videl, I wish-"
"There's no point. I know it now"
Gohan ignored the last comment and blasted off, carrying Chobi's father and Chobi alongside his mother.
"I'm sorry for this" he apologised, "But now you can live together happily.Oh look, your dad's waking updad, can you handle Chobi?"he asked.creature began to flap by itself, and Gohan gave it Chobi, and waved him farewell, heading back to school for an inevitable detention.He was so glad that Videl was not in his late class.
next morning Gohan was confronted by Videl.He was early this time, very early so as not to be late.
"I knew you would be early"Videl said, as she leant against a locker and watched Gohan dash past. "After yesterday, you wouldn't want to get another detention, would you?"
Gohan gulped. "I've really got to be going, there's a morning class I-"
Videl slammed shut the open locker in Gohan's face."Your not going anywhere, Saiyaman.I know who you are, and so should the world"
"I..I"
"Look at those eyes, wow, so much like Saiyaman's.."
"Oh no!The identity of Saiyaman is public knowledge! My life will never be the same! Oh no oh no oh no oh-"
"Pull yourself together, Gohan, I haven't told anyone yetbut, I do believe the public has a right to know of your exploits. So tell me, what's it like being a superhero?"
"I only hid my identity to protect my family's privacy, honestly!"
"WowI bet you're the golden fighter too, aren't you?"
"No, how could you think that? I'm just Saiyaman"
"So you admit it,huh? Nah, your not the golden fighter, he's a blonde and much cuter, but you ARE Saiyaman. So, I have a proposition for you"
"Aproposition?"Gohan gulped.
"Yes.If you want yours and your family's identity protected, then you will have to enter yourself into the upcoming World Martial Arts Tournament"
"Do what?!"
"with me, and you'll have to fight against me. There I can prove myself"
"How about we just do something easy like go on a date?"
"Or I'll reveal your identity to the world"
"You'll honestly do that?"
"Honestly. And your family will just have to adapt to the limelight like mine. So what do you say?"
Gohan gulped, "I haven't got much choice, have I? It has to be yes"
"Yes? Really you will?!" she hugged Gohan, making him step back in surprise, "Wow, it will be cool, much cooler than a silly date. Gohan it'll be amazing, me and you, champion's child versus champion's child"
"What?"
"I did some research and found out that my dad won the last world martial arts tournament, and before him your dad did. Champion's daughter versus champion's son in the finals, pretty fun, huh?"
"Yeahfun"
"And one more condition.You have to teach me how to fly"
"Yeahokay"Gohan said heavily.
"Is it easy?"
"Yeah, cinch"
"Well, see you Gohan, this WILL be fun!"
After school Gohan headed to Bulma's house to sort out a problem with his Saiyaman suit.
"I've smashed the glass,see" he said, handing her his helmet. "I'll need it repaired"
"Well, what for Gohan?"
"The World Martial Arts championship, I'm entering"
"You are!" Bulma gasped, "I cant believe Chi-Chi would-"
"No, Mom hasn't let me yet, but I'm being forced"
"By who?"
"By a girl. Blackmailed again. She wants me to enter for the challenge, she knows I'm Saiyaman!"
"And you've got another problem. Head protection isn't allowed in the tournament"
"Oh man!"
"Don't worry, I have the solution"watched from the edge of the room as he sipped his drink, Wow, Gohan sure can be a geek sometimespushed around by a girl?
A few minutes later Gohan was wearing a desert head-scarf, a white handkerchief tied off at the end, and large black sunglasses.
"Wow cool, thanks Bulma!"
Man, Gohan, MAJOR geeky!
"Well I'll be off, see you!" Gohan called.
"Wow, what incentive" a voice said, "Your entering?"
"Vegeta?" Gohan asked. He looked down to see a girl standing next to him, "And Brika?"
"That's us" Brika said.
"I thought you and Kakaroto might not be so keen on entering with Chi-Chi about, but with your approval I'll definitely be entering"
"And us for the tournament division" Brika and Trunks said.
"Wow it should begreat"Gohan muttered unenthusiastically as he raced back home.

Poa was a small mountain set inside a ring of hills,in lushcious pastures and meadows,lakes dotted around linked by small rivers,with the sun shining almost all the time.Whenever it rained there was a glistening rainbow and the sound of nature played through the night.one side of the mountain a small unreguarded house was inside a very small meadow in a ring of very small hills.the family of six was eating.It was lunch and there was the usual argument between the sparse food.Well,it wasnt sparse,but with Goku and Goten around it quickly became so.Even with Goku's job at Capsule Corperation,catering for seven and a massive Saiyan appetite was difficult,though they all managed to pull through.Chi-Chi, Ox-King, Kasama, Kajumi, Gohan, Goten and Chiaku where eating there way through lunch quickly.was eighteen,strong,handsome and intelligent,currently at Orange Star highschool studying hard.His hair was short,spikey and jet black.He spoke sweetly,nutured into the person her mother aspired.was small,seven years of age and alive with energy.He was always carefree and laughing,like a true child.His best friend was his equally laidback father Goku.They spent many a day lounging about and fishing or sparring hard.His hair was almost exactly like his father's,and so was his personality.and Goten were twins,born a few months after the Cell Games.was seven with long,black pointed hair which instead of falling down her back fell over her shoulders and created a sort of spiked hood.was bossy,noisy and strong,often sparring or ordering Goten around.The only thing that intrested her was shopping or sparring.was tall and slim,a brilliant figure of thirty four,having had Gohan quite young.Her hair fell in black locks,also across the shoulders,and she was always ordering people about or forcing the children(Especially Gohan)to study.was the leader of the family.He was tall and almost the exact copy of Goten,they did everything together.Him thirty four and Goten seven,they were inseperable and could always be seen together,but Goten often liked the company of Trunks as well.was just as big and caring as before,often giving advice and kindly helping out.was twenty years old,an android sent seven years ago from the future to kill Trunks,in a strange twist of fate ended up living with Goku and his family with her sister.She was a proclaimed admirer of Gohan,very beautiful herself with brown semi-spiked hair and an ice-white face.was silent,but strong,the older sister of Kasama,now twenty-three,with skin whiter even than her sisters,and dark black hair.held in a burp,trying to impress his wife into agreeing fully to the tournament.There would be a meeting held at Roshi's place later that day to decide what was what.get training?"Goku asked.now?"Goten asked,"Satan's adventures is on!"what?"Goku asked,frowning.Adventures.Show about the adventures of Hercule Satan..."Gohan told him.murmured dissaprovingly.guy?hahaha,I always liked him"Goku replied,laughing.just because if you couldnt defeat Cell,it didnt matter who did"Gohan said,peering over his magazine.laughed,scratching his head innocently."You can watch it later,come on"Goku said,grabbing Goten.murmured.Chiaku fell back and threw her tongue out,giggling,while Goten watched as he was dragged outside.you two get training too?"Ox-King asked,appearing out of nowhere.He eyed Gohan and Chiaku menacingly.mean us?"they asked in unison.replied,"Even with Goku around,you guys have been slacking.It's shameful!Now get training so you guys can enter the tournament too!"Now,dad!They dont have to train if they dont want to!"Chi-Chi said warningly.moaned,"I'll train too,I guess.Chiaku,wanna pair?"murmured,but then slumped off her chair and followed Gohan outside.you train with me?"Kasama asked her sister.said,with a trace of supressed excitement,"Lets go"two of them stood and left,as Ox-King and Chi-Chi looked at each other.not going to train as well,are we?"Chi-Chi asked.too old for that now...hmm..."Ox-King murmured.
and Goten got outside and breathed the fresh air.Goten,with his brother-father cross hair stared up into the sunshine.The door burst open as they turned around and Chiaku and Gohan walked out.training too"Gohan announced.is our space!"Goten cried.plenty of grass for whimps like you"Chiaku said to Goten.bet Chiaku and me will beat Goten and you"Gohan said.asked,bewildered,"Whats wrong son,are you sick?"serious"delirious,you and Chiaku could never beat us"too!"Chiaku cried.not!"Goten shouted.your voices down!Chi-Chi will kill me if she finds out were betting.Lets keep this secret,okay?"Goku whispered,putting his hand in the air.The other three nodded and put their hands in as Kasama and Kajumi arrived on the scene.are you guys doing,in some kind of secret society?"Kasama asked.They all snapped up.sharing out the grass"Goku explained.out the-?"Kasama muttered,then she added,"Fine,if your going to make a fool of me.."I didnt mean to!"Goku cried out apologetically.murmured,and she grabbed her sister and stormed off.and Chiaku also moved away speedily to a section of rocks and patches of dirt,and Goten and Goku began to train where they where.and Chiaku arrived in a stretch of barren land after miles of jumped around.Gohan began, "We'll began our Agility and Evasive manoeuvring techniques"and Eva whata?"Chiaku asked.out of the way and running"Gohan added flatly.He was scooping a palmful of stones in his hand,and he was standing up straight again.He walked over to Chiaku and handed them to her.is this for?"Chiaku asked.throw these at me as hard as you can"Gohan explained,"And I'll dodge.You got that?"replied.moved a few feet back,said "throw" and Chiaku did so.A feeble attempt was easily dodged by Gohan.cried.

had known about the tournament for a long time,Capsule Corperation being the main endorser,on his word,for the tournament.That way he could prepare and finally beat his arch-rival,Kakaroto.The gravity machine swayed slightly as he trained under extreme conditions,sweat flying from his body.The room lit up a blood-red as he fired a ball of energy towards the Bouncers,small white machines which would bounce the energy around.It was knocked back to him with the force of five-hundred times Earth's gravity.He fired another up and strained his arms to keep it pushing the first,but they buckled under pressure.The attacks came into him but he grabbed each with each hand and crushed them.smiled.Yes,he would finally beat Kakaroto...The door opened and without any strain at all his seven-year-old daughter,Brika,arrived on the scene.Her eyes were a small,dark green,quite unlike her familie's,her hair was like her fathers but spiked out like Goku's.She had her father's training-obsessed mind,and her mothers beauty and intelligence.She was very,very smart.with me now,father?"she asked.too young"Vegeta spat,dodging a small blast from one of the bouncers.He turned to her,and his mouth fell open."What are you-"on,I train alone her all the time,why cant we train together?Why?"she asked.what?"he asked.you know?I've been in her all the time"growled,trying to remain calm.She could stand five hundred times gravity like that?other,eight year old son,was currently watching television with his mother.He was punching wildly,as he was also training,but watching another classic episode of Satan's Adventures.
family lived opposite Vegeta's,which made Krillin's commute to his two jobs at the corperation much easier.Krillin had a money-sapping wife,Maron,an ever-spending,ever-loving wife,who brought him two children;Karron and Marron.She always kept Krillin on his toes as he tried to impress the younger generation.He was cool.was seven,like,but also unlike,his father.He was humourous,like his father,but also very confident and cocky and strong,which was unlike his father.His hair was long,very untidy,matted aqua hair.was smart and quiet,pretty and sweet.She was six,and her hair was twisted into long blonde pigtails.the moment they were shopping in the very same store Goku was shopping in a few hours ago,and would soon stumble on the tournament as well.

turned up at the next lesson with cropped,untidy spiky hair.It was an odd mix between Goten's,Gohan's and Goku's,all melded into one.odd haristyle improved the training,and by harnessing her inner-power she was able to push herself inches off the ground,and then higher and higher,until Gohan had to blast up to catch her.the other's trained,the tournament drew ever closer.
week after,one day before the tournament,Videl was able to perform swoops and dives and land gracefully back on the ground.They spent the evening together,talking about things,while Kasama watched with jealousy.They got along so well...was several people joining the tournament who would not normally do so;Roshi, disguised as Jackie Chun, Llec, Shin and Kibito.would be a very interesting tournament indeed.

"So" Videl said, as Angela ran away, "You're the Saiyaman"
"Saiyaman? I don't know what your talking about"
"C'mon Gohan, I saw that disguise flash off"
"Flash off? That's ridiculous" a moment Videl faltered, and Gohan picked up on this sharply," Your imagining things, Videl.'ve been here with Angela the whole time"
"Hmm"Videl murmured as she looked back on her memory. She remembered seeing Gohan sneaking around the fire trucks, but not Angela or Saiyaman. "Well"
"Y'see? You may need some rest. The heat's got to you" Gohan suggested, and he walked off with a cheery wave. "Phew"

"So how was your date, Gohan?" Kajumi asked back at home.

"Get to class, kid" one of them snapped.looked to see he had his uniform on. I'm not Saiyaman! Ohwell
"That's my line, Gohan" a voice cried from the left. Videl swooped in and aimed a kick for the man, and it hit him right in the stomach, sending him back into the ground.He flipped back up though,and started on Videl.
"Videl"Gohan gulped.
"Come here, kid!"his companion, a great muscled man cried,and he dashed towards Gohan.
"You should get out of here, Gohan" Videl said.turned to her, and a punch from the man sent him back into the ground.
"Gohan!!" she cried in fear. "Ha!" she screamed, throwing her kick into his face, sending him unconscious and into the ground. She spun-kick the other one, and ran to Gohan's aid as they escaped." Gohan, are you okay? Gohan, please-"
Gohan stood up.
"Gohan yourcompletely okay! Not even a scratch or a cut-"
"Really? Wow! Guess I'm lucky today"
"Well Gohan I almost"
"Almost what?" Gohan asked.
"Well, this may seem stupid to you butbut I almost thought you were strong until I saw you get punched in the face and then I knew, but before that I didn't come in because I thought you could honestly handle them because I honestly thought you were the Saiyaman, but now I know your not after your fall. Gohan, please don't go fighting some more bad guys, okay?" she asked, rubbing his invisibly injured face," You just cant handle yourself out there"
Wow Gohan thought Maybe I should get punched in the face more often.
"Oh my god" the criminal driver told his muscled partner, "The girl, she creamed ya"
"It's not her I'm worried about, that was a slip" he replied, "It's the skinny kid"
"The geek?!"
"Yeah, there's something about him that I justdunno"ran off towards her helicopter. She wondered if she could make it to school in time, as she rose into the sky. As she did so, she saw Saiyaman taking flight into the air.
"Wow, just in time for a beagle" Gohan whispered to himself," Oh damn, this watch is wrong! And with her tailing me"he muttered as Videl's helicopter began to follow him.ducked below her but she flipped over. Gohan shot down to the ground, but persistent as ever she followed. He reached ground level and dashed along the road, the craft blasting after me.
"Oh my god!"
"Gosh!" Pedestrians cried.turned and held out his hand to the craft.
"Ahh!" Videl screamed within her helicopter, but Gohan caught it and held it back.
"Miss Videl, why do you follow me?"
"I just want to know who you are. I remember telling you I would"
"Yes, quite Ms.Videl"Saiyaman said."Goodbye now"
Gohan disappeared and behind a tree not so far away and then took flight as fast as he could towards school, though he knew he would be late.
the first lesson through the day, Saiyaman was once again called into action.
"Sorry I'm late, miss"a flustered Videl apologised to the English teacher as she ran to her seat.
"That's okay, Miss Videl, I quite understand your role in our society"
"Thank you" she called.
"Funny" Sharpener said," That both you and Gohan are late. Are you sure there's nothing going on between you?"
"Phh, get real Sharpener" Videl snapped." Wait, Gohan was late?"
Beside her Gohan hid behind his book. Videl turned to her own bag and unpacked
"Don't worry, you haven't missed anything, English today has been B-O-R-I-N-G I promise you" Erasa said.
"Miss Videl, Miss Videl!" Videl's watch cried.
"What is it, Chief?" she asked.
"There's been an animal theft. The new dinosaur attraction at the local circus, Rocky, is gone! Suspected thief armed and dangerous, running along the Merry Market as we speak"
"Right. Miss, may I be excused?" Videl asked.
"Criminals plaguing the city? Of course. You go, and good luck!"nodded and dashed out of the classroom. Gohan watched after her.

"Mr. Gohan, sit down" the teacher said. "Gohan? Sit down!"there was a rumbling.A shaking.Gohan's energy release was affecting the classroom.The stands shook and books dropped.
"Earthquake!Beneath your seats, children! Hurry!"the teacher cried.Gohan headed for the door and turned into Saiyaman as the others hid, then dashed after Videl who was already at the end of the corridor.He appeared outside the school and hid behind the open door, waiting for Videl to go past. Sure enough, she dashed out and threw down a capsule, which exploded into her helicopter. She jumped in and blasted off.
"That girl"Saiyaman whispered, "She never gives up, does she?"took off into the air after the helicopter, and was soon ahead of it.
"I expected no less!" Videl cried, lowering her window, "So how did you know about my mission? Do you tail me?"
"I think that is what you do to me, Miss Videl" he said. Gohan you fool!
"I guess that's right. But I'm ordering you to stay out of my way, Gohan"
"What did you call me?"
"I know that you are Gohan. It all adds up"
"It does, Miss Videl? Maybe you should get some rest"
"Funny, that was what he said"
"Smart boy, I guess" Gohan replied, and he blasted off ahead of the helicopter. He didn't need the direction of it anymore as he was getting to grips with the city now. He lowered himself and glided across the sky, then hit the ground as a man carrying a small purple dinosaur tore past in his motorbike. Gohan appeared in front of him and the man swerved off into the kerb and toppled off. He hit the floor and slid along, the dinosaur in his arms.
"Back off, Saiya loser!" he called.
"Stop, foul criminal! Put down the"he looked at the dinosaur. "ChChobi?"
The man stood and kicked Gohan in the face. He stumbled back, the black glass over his eyes smashed.
"Oh nosomeone's going to knowbut"Gohan muttered. He pulled the glass out of his face and dodged the man's punch, then caught the falling dinosaur.

"Who's that?" the boss asked, pointing at Videl.
"That's Videl. The daughter of Mr. Satan, a real hero! She'll take care of Saiyaman"real criminal crawled to the edge of the road and stood up.
Well well well, He thought, That's Videlthe daughter of Hercule Satanthe boss want's a fight with him and Johnny told me she was givin' him trouble over a heist at Merry Martthis will be the perfect opportunity to earn respect.
He pulled out his phone, "Boss" he whispered, "I've got a real prize her. Videl, Saiyaman and Rocky.Yes, I'm sure she'll lure Satan out"
"Hand it over, Saiyaman"ordered, "And maybe I'll go easy on you"
"Miss Videl you have misunderstood my actions. I mean no harm"
"Yeah right, tell it to the judge"
"MissVidel"Gohan said, sweat breaking out over him.Look at those people watchingwhat do I do without embarrassing Videl?
Videl dashed forward and kicked at Gohan, but he blocked and threw her back.
"Well, what are ya waitin for?"the boss asked the police.
"Sir?"
"Shoot them your moron!"
"Sir! He has only stolen a dinosaur, we cant shoot him"
"Damn well do it you stupid cop, what do my taxes do, pay for ya doughnuts?"flipped right over, his foot catching Videl in the face,sending her flying back, but she threw herself back up again.
"I'm sorry!" Saiyaman cried, in Gohan's voice.
"Gohan?"
"Miss Videl, that name is beginning to annoy me"
"And you-"Videl began, but she was cut off as a two men grabbed hold of her arms and lifted her up. "Hey, Hey get off of me!"
"No, Videl! Let go of her!"
"That dinosaur's mine, kid!" the original criminal cried, lunging towards Gohan. His leg swung round and kicked the man into the ground, sending him bouncing into a police car.
"Whoa!" the officer and the boss cried. The boss snatched the cop's gun.
"What are you doing?!"turned the gun on the criminal lying on top of the wrecked car. Saiyaman appeared and kicked the gun out of the boss's hands.
"So you're the culprit! Hand it over, loser!"turned to Videl, and saw her elbow the two men behind her. She turned round to see a giant man.
"Hello little girl, I'm the boss. See if you can handle ME!" He cried, kneeing Videl in the stomach. Saiayaman dashed forward, Chobi in hand, but the large man knocked him back, sending Chobi into the ground. He started to scream, to cry uncontrollably.
"Oh no, that's the parental call.." Gohan whispered. He jumped up and kneed the criminal boss in the face, but he grabbed Saiyaman's leg and threw him into the ground.was then grabbed by the man. "You punks, bring the champ or she gets it"
Gohan watched in horror as he drew a knife,but then Videl elbowed him in the stomach.

Then a gigantic bird butted the boss forward, but before he could collapse on Videl, she slid from underneath him to watch.
"No, dad, I've got your Chobi!" Gohan cried. He ran over to Chobi, but was confronted by Videl yet again.
"Let go of that dinosaur, you thief!" she ordered, aiming a kick at him. Gohan blocked it and grabbed Chobi, then offered it to Chobi's father, but it only attacked Gohan. He dropped Chobi who was grabbed by Videl. Chobi's mother went for Videl, and it was Saiyaman's arm that took the peck, which didn't hurt him.let the bird go into the air and swoop, and he followed.
"No please, don't do this!" he cried.
"He cant understand you, Saiyaman!" Videl cried, "But I do! I'm sorry I didn't believe you, take the bird! I'll make sure nothing happens"
Saiyaman smiled, and the bird rammed him into the ground "Please!" he cried, "I'm Go-"
"You were about to say Gohan!" Videl cried, "Your eyes! You have Gohan's eyes!"
"Jeez, you only just noticed my glass was smashed in now?!" Gohan cried.
"I was distracted" she replied. "Lookout!"'s father came for Gohan, but he pushed his legs out and knocked him out.bird fell back and crashed into the ground. Chobi waddled towards him, crying.
"Videl, I've got to go" Gohan whispered, "Take care of the police, I'll take care of the bird"
"You're a good man, Gohan!"
"Miss Videl, I wish-"
"There's no point. I know it now"
Gohan ignored the last comment and blasted off, carrying Chobi's father and Chobi alongside his mother.
"I'm sorry for this" he apologised, "But now you can live together happily.Oh look, your dad's waking updad, can you handle Chobi?"he asked.creature began to flap by itself, and Gohan gave it Chobi, and waved him farewell, heading back to school for an inevitable detention.He was so glad that Videl was not in his late class.
next morning Gohan was confronted by Videl.He was early this time, very early so as not to be late.
"I knew you would be early"Videl said, as she leant against a locker and watched Gohan dash past. "After yesterday, you wouldn't want to get another detention, would you?"
Gohan gulped. "I've really got to be going, there's a morning class I-"
Videl slammed shut the open locker in Gohan's face."Your not going anywhere, Saiyaman.I know who you are, and so should the world"
"I..I"
"Look at those eyes, wow, so much like Saiyaman's.."
"Oh no!The identity of Saiyaman is public knowledge! My life will never be the same! Oh no oh no oh no oh-"
"Pull yourself together, Gohan, I haven't told anyone yetbut, I do believe the public has a right to know of your exploits. So tell me, what's it like being a superhero?"
"I only hid my identity to protect my family's privacy, honestly!"
"WowI bet you're the golden fighter too, aren't you?"
"No, how could you think that? I'm just Saiyaman"
"So you admit it,huh? Nah, your not the golden fighter, he's a blonde and much cuter, but you ARE Saiyaman. So, I have a proposition for you"
"Aproposition?"Gohan gulped.
"Yes.If you want yours and your family's identity protected, then you will have to enter yourself into the upcoming World Martial Arts Tournament"
"Do what?!"
"with me, and you'll have to fight against me. There I can prove myself"
"How about we just do something easy like go on a date?"
"Or I'll reveal your identity to the world"
"You'll honestly do that?"
"Honestly. And your family will just have to adapt to the limelight like mine. So what do you say?"
Gohan gulped, "I haven't got much choice, have I? It has to be yes"
"Yes? Really you will?!" she hugged Gohan, making him step back in surprise, "Wow, it will be cool, much cooler than a silly date. Gohan it'll be amazing, me and you, champion's child versus champion's child"
"What?"
"I did some research and found out that my dad won the last world martial arts tournament, and before him your dad did. Champion's daughter versus champion's son in the finals, pretty fun, huh?"
"Yeahfun"
"And one more condition.You have to teach me how to fly"
"Yeahokay"Gohan said heavily.
"Is it easy?"
"Yeah, cinch"
"Well, see you Gohan, this WILL be fun!"
After school Gohan headed to Bulma's house to sort out a problem with his Saiyaman suit.
"I've smashed the glass,see" he said, handing her his helmet. "I'll need it repaired"

"The World Martial Arts championship, I'm entering"
"You are!" Bulma gasped, "I cant believe Chi-Chi would-"
"No, Mom hasn't let me yet, but I'm being forced"
"By who?"
"By a girl. Blackmailed again. She wants me to enter for the challenge, she knows I'm Saiyaman!"
"And you've got another problem. Head protection isn't allowed in the tournament"
"Oh man!"

turned up at the next lesson with cropped,untidy spiky hair.It was an odd mix between Goten's,Gohan's and Goku's,all melded into one.odd haristyle improved the training,and by harnessing her inner-power she was able to push herself inches off the ground,and then higher and higher,until Gohan had to blast up to catch her.the other's trained,the tournament drew ever closer.
week after,one day before the tournament,Videl was able to perform swoops and dives and land gracefully back on the ground.They spent the evening together,talking about things,while Kasama watched with jealousy.They got along so well...was several people joining the tournament who would not normally do so;Roshi, disguised as Jackie Chun, Llec, Shin and Kibito.would be a very interesting tournament indeed.
