Heroes and demons

Buruma lay listless on the cot. She didn't remember when she arrived, only that they had placed her here a day or so ago; the two guards that brought exchanged shadily looks, then grinned, slamming and padlocking the door behind her. A few hours later, that was when it had happened. Why Buruma not felt dizzy nauseous, she could feel the stickiness of blood between her legs, but her body was too sore to move so she lay there, incoherent thoughts fluttering through her head...mixed with the pain.

Buruma had sat, indignant, upon the cot, her nose thrust high into the air. She sat there on the cot, staring down her nose at the crusty piece of bread and tankard of water that had been pushed through a crack in the doorway. She crossed her arms under her chest in a huff. There had been no interruptions or 'visits' to her cell other than the one time someone opened the door a crack to shove in her meager meal.
There had come a solemn knock at her door. "Who is it?" Buruma said through clenched teeth.
"Now, Lady Buruma, that's no way receive a guest. I don't know how you do things on Earth, but that is not appropriate behavior, really," he heard a male voice said, she could almost see his eerie, evil grin on the other side of the door.
"I don't care," she shouted. "Just leave me alone."
She heard the padlock unbolt rustily and the door clambered open on unsteady hinges. Buruma stood up from her cot, she'd be damned if they caught her positioned any lower than they were. Sitting in the presence of her captors would be synonymous to kneeling before them and Kami strike her down if she would be reduced to that.
Buruma gasped at who edged inside her cell. Xerxes smirked at her. "So we meet again, Princess," he said grinning.
"I'm telling you to say away from me," Buruma said warily, she kept her arms in front of her, the only weapons of defense she had.
"And I recall telling you that we don't listen to none other than my master."
"Please," Buruma pleaded, tears forming at the edges of her eyes.
"Oh now..." he bgan with mock sincerity. "I would not be denied, if you would see so kind," he said with an oily smile of self-satisfaction.
"What thoughts cross your mind hence, are dishonorable, sir... you will not lay hand to me," Buruma said, cowering.
" 'I'll not' " he repeated, mocking. "Oh, I think I will."
He move with lightening quick towards her. Buruma turned around and made for the far corner of her cell; it was all she could do to flee her aggressor. Then he was upon her.
Buruma felt her back give way as something went crashing into it. "Ahh!" she gave a startled cry. She couldn't move, there was something pinning her down. Cool air washed over the backs of her legs as the cloth of her chainse was lifted. Buruma squirmed and stuggled against the man who had her effectively stuck to the ground. She heard his trousers drop to the floor and she panicked.
"NO! NO! Leave me alone! Gedoffame!" she screamed.
Her hips were lifted in the air. Buruma squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the pain she knew would come. Something warm and hard slid into her from behind. Buruma bit her lip.
Xerxes began to pump in and out of her. She felt herself stretch to accomodate him. Buruma winced as he pushed all of him inside her.
'That's right. Take it, bitch," he muttered in her ear.
Buruma screamed as he slipped two fingers inside of her, stretching her even more. Stream of ruby red blood began coursing down her thighs. Buruma tried to block out the pain, mute her ears to the satified grunts coming from behind her, blind herself to what she knew was happening. From royalty to dirty whore...then she cried. Not because of the pain plunging as Xerxes drove himself in and out of her. She cried at the memories of what she had been; a radiant princess adored by all, as beautiful as a goddess, now---tossed among the trash, raped for all she was worth.

Buruma lay on the cot where he had thrown her with he was done. She felt like she had been torn from the inside out. Kami, she wished she would just bleed to death.
"Dear Saiya-kami," she heard someone utter.
Buruma struggled to left her head off the cot. "No, please... no more," she whispered.
"Shhh..." the voice comforted her. "I would not believe this if I did not..." the voice gave a heavy sigh. "What has this universe come to, child?"
Buruma managed a wry smile. "You tell me." She heard the heavy treading of feet. "We women must stick together, hmm?"
"I had thought it a ruthless world without allies..."
"Well, you now have me," the voice said soothingly.
Buruma wished so badly she could see whom she was talking to. "That would be all and well if I knew who I was talking to," she commented weakly.
She heard the female voice chuckle. "In the morning," she replied.
Buruma's eyes pricked with tears. "Please... do not leave me alone here," she cried softly. A hand descended to wipe gently against her brow.
"Of course not, young princess. I will be by your side when you awake, and we will be far from this hellish place."
"Promise?"
"I do promise," the voice answered.
Buruma slipped into a dreamless sleep.

Buruma curled tighter into a ball, shivering. It was so cold. Her fingernails dug deeply into the flesh of her upper arms as she clutched herself tighter. Dark red half moons appeared upon her skin, scars. She wimpered lightly. Suddenly, a warm, satisfying heat surrounded her. She forced herself awake.
"W--who's there?" she asked startled.
"The one who promised never to leave."
"I don't remember."
"I found you here after..."
"I don't want to talk about it."
"I understand."
"I can't see you," Buruma said, suddenly frightened. What if another had come---
The most beautiful woman she had ever seen stepped into the light, gently filtering in from the barred window. She had long brown hair, pulled back severely from her forehead, culminating with a gold coronet and from their her hair spilled wild and untamed down her back. She had cool gray eyes with flecks of blue. Her face was flawless, olive and perfect with high cheekbones and deep insets for her eyes. She walked slowly and deliberately towards Buruma's cot and kneeling before the girl.
"You can see me now, yes?" she said, giving a small smirk.
Buruma nodded, still in awe of the woman's grace and presence.
"I am the dowager Queen of Vejita-sei... do you know what that means?" the woman asked gently. Her words were clipped and clean, perfectly annunciated and flowing off her tongue---like royalty.
"You're the mother of that---"
"My son is not the heartless man he appears to be."
"Is that so?" Buruma spat. "He threatened to kill me."
The Queen dismissed the remark with a wave fo her hand. "He acted foolishly, that I will allow, but he is still young. And naive, in the ways of politics. He is a warrior," the Queen stated proudly.
"Well, that's all fine and good but when do I go home?"
"I'm afraid that will not be possible. We are heading back to Vejita-sei on the royal vessel. I am sure that in time---"
"What?!" Buruma jumped out of the cot. "This can't be happening! I want to go home..." she moned as she slid to the floor. She clutched her knees to her chest burying her head in the embrace.
The Queen gently placed her arm around Buruma's shoulder. She tried to to shush the sobbing young woman by rocking her back and forth.
"You'll be safe with us--"
"Safe with a monstrosity like... I--I can't!" Buruma cried. She weaved her head back and forth. "I just want to go home...please, just let me go home."
The Queen wet her lips, balancing her words carefully. "Princess, I don't know how to tell you this but..." The older woman blinked her eyes rapidly, fighting off what tears were battling to flow freely. "I'm very sorry," she whispered as she caught Buruma in a full embrace.
Buruma's eyes glazed over. "No..." her body shuddered with the words. "NO!" She broke from the Queen's hold and stumbled across the holding room. "It cannot be!" she cried. Buruma grabbed the edge of a small table and hurled the well worn wood against the wall, demembering it into splinters. "Tell me it isn't so! That I still have a home..."
The dowager Queen shook her head. "I cannot take back what has happened to you... but I swear on my husband's grave that I shall protect you."
"I want my mother..."
"That is not---" the Queen stood up from the cot. She sighed deeply. "I will do everything in my power to help you. Don't you give up hope." She gazed sympathetically upon the bruised and broken princess lying sobbing on the ground. "I'll arrange for a bath and some fresh clothes," she murmured then exited. Truth be told, the Queen could not stand to look upon the girl any longer. Bile rose in her throat. 'Kami help her and Kami smite down those who did her wrong. '
