Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ The Namekian Saiyan ❯ Prologue

[ A - All Readers ]

Disclaimer- I do not own Nail or any DBZ charaters... I don't even think I can say I own

Lunatii (or should I say Sarori but thats a whole 'nother fic)! But she came from my

imagination and that's what counts!

A/N- Yes, I know these r both "male" characters and I said "she" in my disclaimer, but

what do namekians know about genders...? Aw, don't worry about it, I'll explain it

better in my fanfics to come. ^_^

A lone figure sat upon one of the many mountain peaks that this planet had to

offer. It was raining and he was long ago drenched from his chores earlier. The

natives of his planet never had a problem w/ getting wet, after all... they did use

photosynthesis.

Taking a long sigh, the young saiyan looked to the sky once more to check for

signs that the rain would clear up. Oh sure... the plants liked rain... but only for so

long before they had to start relocating some of the rain water back to the lakes from

wence it came. In other words, more chores.... but it's not like it was going to kill him.

Besides there was still always one thing he loved about the rainfall...

Lunatii noticed the three suns were finally breaking up the clouds and smiled.

He'd known it wouldn't rain too long and sure enough the suns weren't going to wait

too long either.

"Escaping from working again, I see."

Obviously no longer alone, the former figure turned around to the familair voice.

Nail only smiled.

"You'll never learn, Luna."

Lunatii spared the mentor a grin before turning his light charcoal eyes back to

see the spectacle he was here for, the best part of a rainy day. No matter how many

times he'd seen it, the multiple rainbows cast across the heavens would always

enrapture him to the point of awe.

"Hey, Nail...?"

"Hmm?" The taller figure had already made himself comfortably sprawled out

on the ledge.

Lunatii bit his lower lip. He just could never leave his history in the past, but

then again... no one had told him he had to.

"You think my planet's this beautiful...?"

Nail tilted his face to the right to where his little brother sat. The boy would

never stop asking questions about where he came from, no matter how many times he

answered them.

"I see no reason why it wouldn't be... especially since Guru said this planet was

even more beautiful before the storm all those years ago...," he answered, "I've told u

this before, you know."

"Yeah, yeah...," he drawled. He shook his dark mahogany mane and sighed, the

spikes on the lower part of skull and the two in his bangs flinging bits of water from

earlier. He also took the time to shake his tail semi-dry and fluff the fur back out

while Nail took the oppurtuniy to flip a droplet from one of his antennae.

"But,... don't you ever wonder why I was sent here? What I'm here for...?" Luna

turned his concerned face back to his brother. Green features smirked back in

amusement.

"Not as often as you, imp"

Lunatii rolled his eyes before diverting them once again.

"Thanks for the support...," was his grumbled reply.

"Your welcome." Nail stretched his arms above his head and then laid them back

down. "After all... without it, you might still be flying around in space somewhere from

the way the elders first took to you." That comment got his attention. The guilty look

wasn't too delayed either. The namek managed an apologitic smile for the kid.

"Look, it's no big deal, Luna."

All Nail was graced with was another sigh.

"I just wonder..., " he said softly, " ... what happened...?"

The older figure sat up and regared those words for what seemed to be the

thousandth time for him. Then he figured the only way to solve this problem was by sheer

distraction alone. Leaning forward, he pushed Lunatii to the side, and catching him

offguard, he toppled right over.

"Well get over it, it's been 6 years* already!" Nail smirked playfully as he watched

the boy take the offense.

"Fine with me, but until then, I'm just going to have to get stronger!" Lunatii grinned

ferally as he cracked his knuckles. Nail shouldn't have been suprised, but he could still

be a little shocked at the monster he helped raise.

"You're kidding! We already had a training session not even five hours ago!"

"Then next time... don't initiate a new fight."

Nail barely found the time to dodge to punch to his abdomen, but he definetly got

the kick to the shin. Though mentally he wondered for the thousandth time what he had

gotten himself into.

Maybe some questions were just meant to repeat themselves.
