Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ The past is better forgotten ❯ The past is better forgotten ( Prologue )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
Ok here it is, a brand new story by Missq. I spent a week planning it.
The worst has happened, I have been corrupted. All the R rated stories I've been reading are having an effect on me. I've gone from a sweet and innocent little fanfic writer to the DUM DUM DUM R side. You never know when the R side is going to grab hold and take effect on you, even the purest of minds fall into it's trap. (This story doesn't get R till later chapters)
I don't know if I should tell you Bulma's past or not. But if my stories too confusing I might have to.
Note: Like all my stories this one is a 100% original

"Yes I can be there in ten minutes," Dr Briefs smiled as he hung up the phone. He was just about to sign an important deal across town. Not one that could change the future of his corporation, but still important.
He swiped up his car keys that lay on the wooden hall table. His smile instantly disappeared as he paused at the picture that lay next to them.
He picked it up and brought it close to his face. Examining ever detail possible. Over and over again, trying not to miss a thing. A tear slowly formed in his eye. He ran his fingers over the cold glass and looked into the eyes of the picture, the picture of the young girl he had lost so many years ago.
*~*~*~*~*Flash Back~*~*~*~*
Bulma smiled up at him, her eyes shone with the childish innocence that would remain there till she grew older. Her hair gleamed in the morning sun, bringing out the blue. Just by seeing her smile, he couldn't help but smile himself.
"Daddy I'm smart aren't I?" she asked it in such a childish way.
Dr Briefs sighed. She was smart for her age, and ever since he made the fatal mistake of telling her, she wanted to be reminded every five minutes. "Yes you are," he said it with no enthusiasm
Her smile widened. It had always wondered him how she could always be so happy. He had never seen another child like her. "Can we play hide and seek?" she said it in an excited voice.
"No no no no no..." he pleaded. But she paid no attention to his words and ran off into the woods. Disappearing behind the thick trees and bushes
Dr Briefs sighed and followed after her. The woods behind Capsule Corp were huge, and it could some times take hours to find her. The girl was too smart for her own good, and he was getting old.
"Bulma, I give up you can come out now!" he yelled. "If you don't come out your going to get into a lot of trouble young lady!"
Bulma ran, this was a game she greatly enjoyed. Most children would get bored hiding for hours, but not her. She glanced behind her as she heard her father call her name, but took no notice.
As she turned to look in front of her she immediately crashed into something large. Bulma fell on her backside, into the dirt that covered the forest floor.
She looked up at whom she hit. A green man stood towering over her.
Zarbon looked down at the little girl who had just run into him. He usually didn't mind children, except that saiyan brat from hell Vegeta. He pulled Bulma up from the neck of her t- shirt and took a closer look.
"Who are you?" he asked.
She smiled, showing another display of her childish innocence. "I'm Bulma, and my daddy says I'm a genius."
Zarbon studied the girl, trying to decide wether or not she was as smart as she claimed. "Girl how old are you?"
She held up four fingers. "This old."
Zarbon looked as if he didn't know what to think. He hardly knew anything about this planet. He had been ordered by Freeza to clear a nearby system. When out of curiosity he noticed this world and decided to take a look. He had to admit it was a nice planet; he didn't have the heart to destroy it like he had to so many others.
Bulma stared up at him. "You look funny, are you an alien."
The girls comment caught his attention. She obviously wasn't completely stupid, and Freeza could always do with new recruits. He was always raving on about how if you get them young they have less free will. With the exception of Vegeta, he just wouldn't listen to anyone, even after Freeza beat the hell out of him.
Zarbon lowered himself to her eye level. "How would you like to go on a trip with me?"
"Ok" she took no time deciding. "Will it be fun?"
Zarbon nodded. "Yes very fun."
"Yay," she smiled and clapped her hands.
"Bulma were are you!" the voice of Dr Briefs echoed through the woods.
"I'm here daddy!" she yelled.
Zarbon quickly grabbed Bulma. He didn't want her father seeing him.
"What about daddy?" she asked.
"Don't worry you'll never see him again," He slung Bulma over his shoulder and quickly made his way to his ship.
"All right young lady you are in trouble. "Dr Briefs burst through the woods to the spot Bulma had been only seconds before to see nothing. He froze. He knew that very second that something was wrong. "Bulma," he whispered.
*~*~*~*~*End Flash Back*~*~*~*~*~
He slowly put the picture down. He could still remember that day as if it were yesterday. The events of what happened still haunted him in his dreams. For the past twenty years he had been blaming himself over and over again. Never being able to move on.
Bulma was assumed dead. They found absolutely no trace of her what so ever. It was as if she just disappeared of the face of the earth and out of existence. He still preyed though; he still hoped she was safe. His wife had coped better than him; she was naturally a happier person. But he could still hear her cry whenever she was alone. They had both loved Bulma so much, and losing her had been extreme heartbreak.
He sighed and tore his eyes away from the picture. As he had always said, everything happens for a reason.
He walked out the door and to his company car. His wife was alway commenting on how he should have his licence taken away. He was getting old and paying less attention to the road . He jumped in and turned the key. The engine roared to life.
As he drove a hundred meters down the road he found himself in a traffic jam. One of the disadvantages of living in West city. He tapped his fingers on the dashboard. The stereo boomed in the car next to him. At this rate he was going to be late.
He sighed and leaned back in his seat, there was nothing he could do about it. After fifteen minutes the traffic returned to normal speed. Dr Brief thanked whatever god there was.
As he was driving through the city center at 20kh his phone began to ring. Ignoring all road rules and common sense, he immediately looked away from the road to answer it. He held it to his ear, and returned his gaze to the front.
Out of nowhere a young woman walked out in front of him. He dropped the phone and slammed the breaks.
The car skidded a meter. He would remember her shocked expression for the rest of his life. He would always remember the sound of her rolling off the front of the car. And he could never possibly forget getting out of the car to see her lying limp and unconscious on the ground.
* * *
Dr Briefs stood in the hospital room. He looked down at the young women lying in the bed. She was only in her early twenty's, pretty. She was covered in scratches and bruises. Her aqua hair lay mattered; no one had ever come in to brush it. They hadn't been able to track down any of her family. He had come here to visit her a lot, mainly out of guilt.
Luckily she wasn't that hurt, as the doctors said, she was a tough one. He felt so horrid for hitting her. And worst of all she was pregnant. Heaven forgive him he had hit a poor innocent, pregnant women. He knew he was going to feel guilt about this for the rest of his life
His wife understood; she didn't blame him. But that couldn't stop him from blaming himself. He would never stop blaming himself.
"She woke up today you know," He turned round to see her doctor. He was a kind looking man, late twenties. He had a promising career ahead of him and was the best doctor Dr Briefs knew. That was the main reason he had made sure to get him for the poor women he hit.
"Who is she, did you get her name?" asked Dr Briefs, he was very curious to know.
The doctor took a deep breath. "The hit gave her amnesia, she can't remember a thing. But apart from that she seems fine."
He nodded. "Good," Dr Briefs turned to leave.
"Wait, we did some DNA tests to find out who she was!" the doctor started tapping his pen on his clipboard, as if he were looking for the right words to say.
Dr Briefs looked back at the doctor. "And."
He paused. "We got the results, then we checked them again, and again." He handed the result sheet to Dr Briefs. "Your daughter Bulma Briefs in the flesh"
He looked at the women lying in the bed. The sheet shook in his hands. "Bulma," He whispered.
