Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ The Prince's Bodyguard ❯ Her Request ( Chapter 2 )
Okay, everyone, here's the next chapter. Neo-Huntress, thanks for the review. Don't worry, there is a plot to this story, it's just taking a little while to become clear, even to me. Hopefully, this chapter will start bringing it into view, but the next chapter definitely will. Sorry it's not going a little faster. Go, read, review!

Gohan stopped outside his daughter's door, his hand still raised to knock. Disbelieving, he sniffed again. The Prince? The unmistakable smell of his monarch was strong, along with the scent of sex and his daughter. Still in shock, the royal bodyguard stepped away from the door, staring at it. What was the Prince doing with Pan? While not of noble birth, Pan was one of the Prince's bodyguards, one of his closest and most trusted soldiers. That afforded her some measure of protection against would be attackers. That protection, combined with her own strength and skill, had helped the girl remain untouched, pure. As far as Gohan knew, this had always pleased the prince, since Pan was more often at his daughter's side than not. The Prince's own son, Trunks, was widely believed to be her future mate. Why then, would Prince Vegeta take her as a mistress? Shaking his head in confusion, feeling that unavoidable flare of fatherly concern, for he knew the Prince was not always gentle with his conquests, Gohan nevertheless turned and walked away from the door to his daughter's chambers, in search of his father, Goku, the Prince's best friend since childhood. Out of everyone, Goku was the most likely to understand or know what was going on in Prince Vegeta's mind.
Pan woke slowly, a thing she never did. She was disoriented and froze when she realized she wasn't alone in her bed. A heavy leg was thrown over her hips, a strong arm over her torso and a furry tail wrapped around her upper thigh, lazily teasing her with its tip. Effectively pinned down, she slowly opened her eyes and met the glittering black gaze of Prince Vegeta. Never breaking eye contact, he raised a hand and traced a finger over the perfect imprint of his teeth in her neck. "Do you know what this means?" he asked, in that sexy as hell, silken gravel voice of his. She nodded, once, her eyes wide and a little frightened. "You are mine. No other is to touch you, ever. I will inform your family and my soldiers at the morning training session." "No!" His eyes narrowed and she suddenly wished she could swallow her words. What was she thinking contradicting the Prince! He could have her killed for that, indeed he had killed for less! "I mean, please, my Prince, do not tell them. Not yet," she amended, biting her lip. "Why?" His head was tilted, curiosity outweighing his annoyance at her impertinence. Because I don't want them to know you bedded me. "I wish to let Prince Trunks down easy, my Prince, before he learns of this claiming, to try and prevent unease between you and your son," she said. Prince Vegeta scowled. He'd forgotten his son's obsession with the girl. The hotheaded boy would indeed be angry to find his father had stolen her from right under his nose. He looked at her again, appraisingly. She was more intelligent than he'd given her credit for. "Very well," he said, unsure why he was agreeing to her little ruse. He could not care less if his son was angry. Trunks had not the power, nor the skill to defeat him. Still, the girl could have a little time to try and prevent the outburst and the unavoidable embarrassment the boy would suffer when he challenged his father.
Pan let out the breath she had been holding, then froze again when he continued to speak. "You have a fortnight, two weeks, to do what you wish to do, and then you will complete the bonding and no longer keep your secret." She knew what he was saying. In two weeks, whether she was ready or not, she would mark his neck, as he had done hers, claiming him as her mate until one of their deaths. She would no longer be Pan Son, the only female bodyguard to the Prince and his family, feared warrior and respected soldier. She would be Pan Vegeta, the Princess of Planet Vegeta, mate to the crown Prince and future ruler. All of the sudden, Pan didn't feel well.
Goku stared at Gohan like he was insane. "You've got to be mistaken," Goku said. Gohan shook his head, slowly, a little sadly. "He was there, father, in her room and the smell of mating was heavy." Goku's brow furrowed. "I don't understand. The Prince has always shown our family the same respect as nobles. Why would he take Pan as a mistress? He knows she was pure." "Maybe he seeks to prevent Prince Trunks from taking her as mate. Maybe he thinks that if she isn't pure, Trunks wont want her anymore, more so that it was his own father she was with," Goten suggested. Goku looked at his younger son. Goten had been to Prince Trunks as he himself had been to Prince Vegeta, side-by-side since toddler hood, best friends, as close as one could be to a Prince without being family. They were sparring partners, for the simple fact that the Son family line was the only one with the strength and power to equal the royal family's, the only partners who would not be crushed in the first round. With anyone less, the royal family would train for naught, as winning so easily would never help their power, strength or skills increase. Goten and Trunks were rarely apart, except while they slept, therefore Goten knew more of the young Prince than any other living soul. "Is that the truth? Would Trunks turn from Pan over this?" Goten appeared thoughtful. "Maybe. Unless he thought she had been taken without her consent." Gohan felt a stirring of alarm and anger. He looked at his father, sharply. "Would he take her by force?" "I honestly don't know. He has never raped before. He's never needed to. No one has ever turned him down." "Because they're afraid of him?" Goku snorted. "Because of his-talents-in the bedchamber." "It doesn't matter," Goten interrupted. "Either way, the result would be the same. Prince Trunks would challenge his father over the matter." "And he would lose," said Goku, flatly. Goten nodded, once. The Son men stared at each other, each lost in his own speculations.
