Kakarott smiled in his sleep and flicked his tail over the cool sheets of the bed. He made a soft growl as he squeezed the prince-scented pillow beneath his head. He always ended up with it, whether Vegeta wanted him to take it or not.

"Vegeta…" he drowsily awakened, rubbed his eyes, and looked around. Vegeta was gone. Why hadn't the prince wakened him? It was unusual of him.

His stomach groaned. Kakarott rubbed it and took one last sniff of the prince's pillow.

Mmmm.

His tail stiffened, and so did another part of his body. Was this what happened to him whenever Vegeta did not perform his princely duty?

Ka touched himself and thought of Vegeta. He wanted him.

Grrrrrrrr...

First, he had to get something to eat and then later after he had visited Gallaur he would fine his prince. Only he could put Kakarott's agitated member to rest.

"I don't think you understand father."

"I understand perfectly. This is our only chance of getting what we need," The king of all Saiyans, Vegeta's father tossed his cape over one shoulder and sat down in his throne. Although his son's doubts about his judgment sorely irritated him, he was impressed with Vegeta's persistence on the matter. He showed signs of making an excellent leader. "King Cold has assured me that he will make no drastic decisions without me. This is our race we are talking about, son. I would think that you would trust me enough to protect it."

"All right then. I think you made a grave mistake," Vegeta told him.

King Vegeta laughed at his blunt statement. "You know, brat, former Saiyan kings have killed their sons for insulting their intelligence. What makes you think that I will not do the same?"

"Because I am your only heir and you wouldn't do anything so foolish, father."

The king grunted in agreement and smoothed a hand over his beard. "You are a bit snappish today." He observed. "What troubles you?"

"Why are you changing the subject?" Vegeta strode over to his own chair and sat down, glaring at him.

King Vegeta grinned and leaned forward to look at him. "How is your concubine?"

"Kakarott's welfare is none of your business father!" Vegeta said angrily.

"You seem more upset than usual…could it be that you did not make use of Kakarott's services today?"

Vegeta turned towards his father and held a fist up at him. "Are you testing me father? Is it a fight you want?"

King Vegeta threw his head back and laughed. Vegeta was ready to do battle with him and all because he had not had his pleasure that morn. "Surely Kakarott did not refuse you."

"Of course he didn't. I chose not to take him."

"Why? Doesn't he please you any more?"

Vegeta's cheeks turned slightly red.

"Then what is the problem?"

"I am teaching him a lesson."

"It seems to me that you are the one that is learning the lesson here," his father said. "Never neglect your needs. You'll only give your concubine reason to manipulate you in the future."

"Kakarott couldn't manipulate clay," Vegeta muttered. "What does he know about such things?"

"You would be surprised, brat."

Vegeta could tell by the far away look in his father's eyes that he was thinking of Bardock. Why didn't he follow his own advice with the low class warrior? It was almost as if his father had given Bardock too many privileges. He had allowed him to train and to fight and look what happened. He had lost his concubine. Well that wasn't going to happen to Vegeta. He had Kakarott under control. His little concubine wouldn't be seeing any battles ever, because Vegeta had taken that option away from him.

He wasn't concentrating as he should. That's why Gallaur's blast had connected with him. He fell to the ground and groaned as his body protested. He dusted off his tunic and waited for the old Saiyan to land.

"What's the matter with you?" Gallaur asked him. "How could you have taken that hit?"

Ka's tunic smelled charred. "I messed up, I'm sorry."

"It's him, isn't it? The brat."

"Don't call him that," Kakarott said.

"Well, what's he done now?"

"Nothing."

"Come on. Spit it out," Gallaur insisted."

"Well, he hasn't…you know."

"That's what's bothering you?" Gallaur snarled. "What are you getting so worried about. I told you that this day would come didn't I?"

"What are you saying?"

"He's losing interest in you."

Ka gasped. "No way!"

"Better get used to it. You'll soon be replaced. Its how things are done with the royal family," Gallaur said.

Vegeta was tired of him? It didn't seem possible.

"Then again, maybe you're overreacting and the little brat has a lot on his mind."

Yes. That made more sense to Kakarott. He was worrying over nothing. Vegeta hadn't thrown him out of his chambers. He had only held off from him for one morning. The day had just started. The prince had plenty of time left to fulfill his daily obligations.

Ka took a deep breath and relaxed. Gallaur was right. He was being stupid.

The old Saiyan made an impatient gesture at him. "Now, if you're finished crying…"

"I wasn't crying!"

"Heh, heh. You pathetic pup," he taunted. "Vegeta doesn't want me anymore!"

Gallaur's mocking made him upset. He charged at the old man and didn't let up, not when Gallaur was laughing at him. He had to prove to him that he was not soft. It was a matter of pride, his Saiyan pride.

Later that day, after Kakarott had discarded his scorched tunic and had taken a bath, he climbed into bed naked and pulled the sheets over him. He wasn't exhausted. He was still restless. A peek beneath the sheets revealed a very red and swollen appendage that formed a tent beneath the covers.

"Go away," Kakarott told it.

He began to think that it was all Vegeta's fault. If he had done what he was supposed to, then Ka wouldn't have to deal with this discomfort. He sighed and slipped his hand beneath the sheets. The prince had done this to him dozens of times. How hard could it be?

The first few strokes made him shudder and he moaned. Apparently, it was…very hard.

He was startled as the door slid open and Vegeta entered his chambers. Ka stopped what he was doing and sat up to greet him. Vegeta would take over now. He would give him pleasure.

The prince sat at the edge of the bed and removed his boots and gloves, then his suit. Kakarott had forgotten that the prince would take a bath before he came to bed. He was very particular about his cleanliness. Kakarott patiently waited for him. When he came from his bath all fresh and naked, Ka looked hopefully at the prince, but was disappointed when he climbed into bed, rolled over, and went to sleep.

No, no, no, he thought. Don't go to sleep now!

"Vegeta?"

"Vegeta?" he touched the prince's tail. Vegeta coiled it tightly around his waist, making it clear that he did not want to be disturbed. Ka was hurt by his actions. Had he lost favor in him so soon? No, he couldn't have. The prince was just moody. He would be fine tomorrow.

He fit himself against Vegeta's back, kissed his nape and willed himself to sleep.

Kakarott was upset. It was the next day -a new day, and the prince was still refusing to pay him any attention. He had been so angry that he hadn't eaten as much that morning, causing the servants to worry about his health.

Ka took out his vexation during training, startling Gallaur with his intensity.

"I like this side of you. It has potential," he told him after he halted their training for the day.

"I guess," Kakarott said distractedly.

The older Saiyan rubbed his nose and left a smudge of dirt behind. He studied Kakarott and noticed the bulge that strained against the concubine's tunic.

"Why don't you just take what you want from him?" he suggested.

Ka shook his head. "I can't do that!"

"Why not?"

"Because he's the prince, and I just can't."

"You had better do something," Gallaur turned and headed for his house. "You can't stay like that forever. What the blazes was the brat thinking, putting you in a situation like that?"

Kakarott didn't answer him. He headed back to the palace thinking of what Gallaur had said. Did he have the courage to take what he wanted from the prince? He felt his blood rushing to his face. No, he wasn't brave enough. He wasn't aggressive when it came to Vegeta. He had a feeling that he never would be, because he didn't want to. He was Vegeta's companion, not the other way around.

What? No Saiyan loving? O__O! Unfortunately, not this time, but there may be some in the future. Don't lose hope. This is me we're talking about here. ^__^
