Chapter 2: Ten Years Later

Bulma held the weak creature in her hand squirming to get free. "Will you succumb and join Frieza's forces?” The unusually large creature yelped and choked out, "N-Nev…er." Bulma smirked. "So be it." She threw the creature into the air and powered a ki blast. She fired it at the creature destroying it. She grinned. "I guess Cordose, King of the Centaurians, wasn't as strong as his people made him out to be."

She stood on a hill with her hair swaying in the wind. Behind her at the bottom of the hill, flames from burning villages could be seen. Thousands of corpses lay everywhere. Most of the bodies were dismembered and some were burned to a skeleton. ~insert Rob Zombie's Living Dead Girl~

Bulma smirked and swayed her hips as she walked. Her midnight purple cape flapped in the wind matching the color of her elite armor. She was commander and top soldier of Frieza's entire army. She was also the youngest soldier. Frieza was the only one stronger than her. Not even King Vegeta could beat her in a fight.

There was a rumor though that the prince was returning after ten years and that he was stronger than her. She had never met the prince so believed it as no more that a rumor...for now.

She walked through the rubble kicking Centaur carcasses out of her way as she went. She was looking for a Sayain child who had been sent here five years ago to purge it by mistake. The child was from an elite soldier yes, but he was not strong enough to take on the Centaurs.

Suddenly she heard a child crying. 'But that can't be a Sayain...Sayains don't cry.' She pulled up a wall from a fallen house and saw a young boy lying next to a young Centaur. The boy was crying. But he was Sayain. You could tell by the tail wrapped securely around his waist.

Bulma may be a ruthless killer, but she had a secret no one knew about. She had a very soft spot for children. Sayain or Centaur alike. She had not had any of the children killed. She was taking them with her to train them. She took care of most of the adults. She shushed the boy. "It’s all right Gohan."

The boy looked at her. "Who are you and how do you know my name?"

"I'm Bulma and I'm a Sayain like you. I was sent here to get you and purge this planet...you were sent here by mistake."

"Then you killed them all...you killed helpless children..."

"No. None of the children are dead. I am taking them all to be trained."

"But they killed Daria!!" Bulma looked at the young female Centaur lying next to Gohan. That must have been his friend Daria. 'This planet has made him soft...his mother will be proud.' She couldn’t help but smile.

She looked closely at the young Centaur and smiled. "Don't worry Gohan. She isn't dead. Look, she is still breathing." Gohan looked at Daria and saw that she was in fact still breathing. This one was strong. Even after a blow to the chest she was alive. Bulma placed her hands on the young girl's chest. She was instantly covered in a blue aura. Her wounds started to heal. The hole in her chest sealed up and her cuts started to disappear. Her bruises dissipated and the rest of her healed.

The blue healing aura faded and the young Centaur groaned. That was one thing special about Bulma. She was the only Sayain who could heal. She moved slightly and her eyes fluttered open. She tried to stand but stumbled back over. "Be still little one. I healed most of your wounds, but some of your broken ribs remain as well as some damaged hooves. You'll be able to walk but you’re slightly unstable right now."

The girl screamed. "GET AWAY FROM ME!!! YOU’RE A SAYAIN!!" Bulma shushed her again. "Hush child. I won't hurt you. Now if you promise not to tell, I will tell both of you a secret?" Both children nodded slowly. "Ok. I have a soft spot for children. No one knows this. I may be a ruthless killer, but I do not like to hurt children. It seems to be a waste of young warriors. And children are so precious. Never let anyone make you think otherwise."

The little girl stopped shaking and relaxed. "What are you going to do with me?"

"Well I will most likely take you and train you with my other children. I have my own training area on Frieza's ship. I never let any harm come to the children of the planets I purge so I take them and train them. Can you fight?"

"Oh yes!! I am really strong. I am only eight years old, but I am one of the strongest children on this planet. No one can beat me in a fight except Gohan here!"

"Excellent. I will take you with the other children I have collected to be trained on the ship."
Daria nodded. "Ok...what happened to the others?"

Bulma looked her right in the eye. "They are dead. A select few surrendered. They will be taken and either put in the labs as scientists after taking a test or be trained as fighters. If they don't pass either test they will be put to work as slaves."

The young Centaur nodded. Bulma helped her up and walked with Gohan to the other children. She spoke to them all. "I am Bulma. I am commander of Lord Frieza's army. Most of your family is dead now. I do not wish to hear any crying. You are warriors and will act as such. I will be taking you to Frieza's ship and I will train you all personally. No harm will ever fall on any of you. I have hundreds of children at the ship. If anyone ever hurts any of you come straight to me and they will be taken care of. Consider yourselves lucky. Only I am this kind. No other soldier in the entire army would be this kind. They would have killed you on the spot. I promise to take care of all of you. I have a planet given to me by Frieza where you will all be taken to. Planet Toulara. This is where all the children are taken. I have many friends on the planet who take care of all of you. They are very nice women and we will all be your new mothers so to speak. I assure you, you will love us after a period of time. Are there any questions?"

A very small child stepped forward. She looked about 3 and was barely able to stand on her four legs. "Where is my mommy?"

Bulma looked at her. "She's gone."

"Are you my new mommy?" Bulma nodded. "In a way."

The child hesitated. "Can I have a hug?" Bulma smiled softly and held out her arms. The child went into her arms and she gave her a hug. Gohan looked at her and realized she wasn't like most Sayains. That was probably a good thing.

Bulma looked about. She saw her men return. "Well?" The men looked at her and held out a bundle each. There were five men. Two with two bundles and the other three had one bundle. Bulma looked and the bundles wiggled and she could hear crying come from them. Each one was a baby Centaur. She took two and Gohan took two. A fourteen year old Centaur took two and Daria took one.

Bulma looked at the little faces. They were adorable. She dismissed her men to take the prisoners to the ship. She walked with the children to the ship. She seated them all in a seat in the back built for the children she brought back. She always returned from a mission with no less than fifty kids. This time she had a count of seventy-two. Bulma would take the children to Toulara and put them to training. She would take the infants to Chi-Chi in her nursery for the kids ages one and under.

Bulma was a little worried about tomorrow though. It was her eighteenth birthday and she would be coming of age. That meant she would go into heat. And that made her fair game. Sure if Frieza gave her to someone she could kill them easily enough, but that would anger Frieza and he might kill her. She didn't think he would since she was his top soldier and the best fighter he had ever had, but with Frieza you could never tell. But she didn't think he would be stupid enough to give her to someone she didn't want to mate with.

She knocked the thought out of her mind and climbed onto the ship. She told the captain that all the captives were on board and that he could take off. She strapped in and the ship started to shake. It lifted off and headed home to Vegeta-Sei.

Meanwhile on another ship somewhere else in space, Prince Vegeta sat and looked out the window at the vast space that lay before him. His heart leapt out of his chest when he laid his eyes on the ruby red planet. His home. Vegeta-Sei. He had waited ten long years, and now...finally...he was home.
