Bulma, it's time… It's time to remember your true purpose…

My purpose?

The reason you were sent to Earth…

…Was it to save something?

Yes… You're starting to remember now… Everything is coming back to you…

I'm not normal am I?

No, though you were sent to the Earth as a human, your powers are but dormant…

Am I ready for this do you think?

Perhaps, perhaps not… It all depends on you and the decisions you will make…

What if I make the wrong decision?

Then the Earth will perish…

She stood alone in a circle of moonlight. Oh no, it's happening again! He'll be here soon! Quickly looking around she listened carefully. Hearing something off to her right she dashed through the darkness in the opposite direction. The soft sounds surrounded her and she prayed she wasn't running directly toward him.

A prayer that turned out to be unheard as she crashed into his arms minutes later. His aura was a bright yellow, flaming around him sharply, danced over the hands enclosing her arms and causing electric sparks to surge through her body.

"Where were you?!" He glared down at her angrily, his red eyes blazing with an angrily demonic glow that caused her to pull away from him. His low growl of displeasure reminded her why that wasn't such a good idea.

"I've never done anything to hurt you, yet you shrink away from my touch," he stared at her bitterly.

"My apologies. I've just never been on the receiving end of a demon's displeasure and it startled me. Excuse me for embracing the human capacity to feel emotions like fear in an unfamiliar situation!" she snapped back, with a toss of her head. "Now would you kindly refrain from glowing at me like that? It's terribly distracting." He blinked at her in surprise, the glow completely fading from his body and eyes as he noticed the change in her demeanor.

"Where were you?" he demanded in a more controlled voice, returning to his original question.

"I don't know, and why do you care anyways?" she huffed out, getting annoyed with his attitude.

"Why do I care?! I was worried sick when you didn't show up like you were supposed to!" he shouted at her. Her annoyance was immediately replaced by the small thrill that raced through her and she couldn't keep from smiling. A smile that widened when she noticed his suddenly cautious expression as he stared at her uneasily. "What are you smiling about, little one?"

"Oh nothing, nothing at all. So you want to know where I was? As I mentioned earlier I honestly don't know… but there was this light and a voice talking to me, telling me what I was supposed to do. I assume something similar occurred to you?"

"Ah, so you were remembering your assignment… Well don't think that just because we are together that I will allow you to accomplish it. But regardless of how this plays out, you will be mine," he spoke with all the confidence and arrogance at his disposal, not even seeming to notice her annoyance.

"Excuse me? But what makes you so sure that I would be willing to be yours if you destroyed the Earth?" she glared at him.

"Because," he murmured, dipping his head to lightly clamp his sharp teeth on her shoulder being careful not to break the skin. Then he gently sucked on the spot while she clung to him, allowing her head to fall backwards, granting him easier access. Slowly he raised his head and swept a finger along the newly formed bruise. "A temporary mark for now little one, but only temporarily. Run as much as you like but I will find you in the real world. Soon I will claim you more thoroughly and there will be no escape for you."

She raised her head and jerked back from him, realization replacing the glaze of passion in her eyes. "You bastard!" she spat out. "I'm going to get you for this one! Just see if I don't! We aren't even supposed to be togeth-
