She fell back to her bed with a soft thump, landing boneless among her pillows as she remembered the dream that she had been experiencing. She shuddered as she remembered all the wonderful feelings that had shot through her system at his touch and she could almost feel the hard planes of his body pressing against her own still. Her baby yeowled again, imperious and demanding before landing on top of her stomach to glare at her with angled ice blue eyes while her tail twitched in annoyance.

"Yes, yes. I hear you Seshat. Chill out already, I'll make you breakfast, but first mommy needs to make a call, alright sweetie?" Her Siamese cat watched her suspiciously from her perch as she reached over and grabbed the phone hastily punching in the numbers.

"Mmm, who'sit an' it better b'good," a grumpy sleep slurred voice came over the line.

"Bulma! Get up! I just had one of those dreams! Just like what you told us about!!!!"

"WHAT?!" her friend sounded wide-awake. "Who- no never mind. Just hurry up and get over here right now so we can talk!" she ordered.

"Alright. Let me just take a shower and feed the cat and I'll be over ok?"

"Fine, I'll be waiting. Good thing it's Saturday, otherwise we'd have to skip another couple of class periods."

"No kidding. Oh, do you want me to call 18?" Chichi asked shifting her cat to the side so she could stand up.

"Yeah go ahead. I'll see you in a bit. Laters."

"Bye."

A few minutes later she heard the ringing on the other end of the phone. Finally a click when the receiver was picked up. There was a sort of soft scrabbling on the other end and a thud accompanied by some soft swearing. Then a voice came on demanding to know who was on the other end and what it was they wanted this early in the morning.

"Hey 17, is your sister in?"

"I dunno, she's probably out back training," he spoke through a yawn. "Um, yeah let me check ok?" Chichi waited, hearing 17 yelling for his sister to get the phone in the background. Then he came on again. "She's coming."

"Great, thanks. Sorry to wake you up."

"S'okay Chi, here she is."

"Hello?"

"18! I had a really weird dream last night so I'm going over to Bulma's house to visit her in the mirror. You want to come?"

"Wait, she said she didn't remember going into the mirror?!" Bulma demanded from where she sat on her 'bed'. "Oh Chi, that means she's one of 'them'!"

Chichi paced nervously, wringing her hands together so tightly that her knuckles went white. "Yeah I know, but I haven't told you the worst of it! Bulma, the dream I had was with Goku! I can't go out with him if he's a demon, but I have absolutely no reason to break up with him! I mean, if I just suddenly broke up with him, what if he figured out why?! What am I supposed to say to him? 'Gee, I'm sorry honey but ever since you entered my dream and started seducing me I realized that you are actually a demon who is supposed to be helping to blow the planet apart!' Honestly Bulma, don't you think they'd find that a little strange? And I don't want to break up with him in any event. I mean there's no guarantee that he'll agree to actually go through with his mission. I mean this is Goku, it's entirely possible that he could refuse and-"

"Chichi would you please stop and take a breath? You have to be running low on oxygen by now, besides you're making me nervous. After all it would really suck if you passed out in here because I couldn't take you out with me when I leave."

"Oh yes, that makes sense. Thanks for reminding me." Chichi took a deep breath, then another one, before wailing, "But Bulma I don't want to break up with Goku!!! I don't care if he is a demon or that he's going to destroy the world! Well, I actually care a lot that he's going to help destroy the world, but I don't care that he's a demon! And what are we going to do?!!"

"I'm not really sure, but we'll think of something. In the meantime, maybe you shouldn't break up with Goku, just don't spend as much time in his presence. Unlike my 'evil counterpart', so to speak, he knows you real well so he's bound to notice the change in your demeanor now that you know he's a demon."

"Huh, so you really think Vegeta is the prince of Hell? Why don't I find that surprising? But honestly! Goku? I think this is all someone's twisted idea of a joke! And 18 is one of them too!!! How can they expect us to fight our boyfriends and best friend?! It's jut not fair!"

"Chi," Bulma cut in patiently.

"What?"

"Air. You need to breathe. Air encourages life; life is intrinsically a good thing. Now be still for a minute while I try to think about this."

However before she was able to think about it they heard a knocking on her bedroom door in the 'real' world. The two girls looked at each other before practically flinging themselves through the mirror. They heard Bulma's mother calling to them through the door and Bulma hurried to open it.

"Yeah mom?" she asked imposing herself between her mother and the still slightly rippling mirror.

"Oh Bulma honey, a guy phoned for Chichi, but I told him she was busy but would call him back right away. I think he said his name was Goku or something. Such a cute name and he seemed like such a nice young-"

"Thanks mom. We'll make the call in here."

"Alright dear. Would you guys like a snack?"

"Um, we might come down for one later, mom," Bulma gently but firmly closed the door on her mother before she could come up with any more questions. Then she turned around, leaning back against the door to stare at Chichi.

"This is going beyond a twisted joke. Just how many coincidences can occur to a couple of people before they stop being coincidences?"

"I'm not sure I want to know. At least not until we remember our entire assignment. I wish they wouldn't do this whole gradual let you get used to each step you're expected to play out thing and just drop it all on us at once," Bulma muttered rubbing her hands over her face.

"Oh dear. Now I have to call Goku and either pretend like everything's normal or pretend to be really distant. Bulma I don't think I can do either! I mean we've been going out since the 9th grade!"

"Chi would you just relax already. At the rate you're going you're going to hyperventilate. Now here's what we'll do. You call him back and find out what he wants. If he wants to go somewhere say that something important has come up and take a rain check. That'll give us the rest of the day to figure out what to do. And probably tomorrow as well."

"Um, ok. Yeah and saying that something's come up isn't even a lie is it?" Chi agreed, although she still seemed dubious.

"Look we need to have a little time to work this out. Just put him off."

"Alright, where's your phone?" she asked looking around.

"Behind you," Bulma said dryly. Chichi just made a face at her before starting to dial Goku's number. Soon his exuberant voice could be heard through the other line.

"Oh, hey Goku. Bulma's mom said you called. So… what's up?"

"Is something wrong?"

"Wrong? No what could be wrong Goku?" Chichi asked, looking desperately at Bulma.

"Well I called your house this morning and they said you were gone Bulma's. Did you forget that we had a date Chi?" he asked slowly.

"A date. Saturday… Kami, its Saturday isn't it?! Oh, I'm so sorry Goku! I totally forgot. Um, listen can I make it up to you? Something important sorta' came up that I need to deal with."

"Oh alright Chi," she winced at his hurt tone, knowing that he was trying not to let it show and failing miserably. It was so hard to remember that he was working for the bad guys. He was just so darn cute and naïve! "Hey, why don't we go to the Halloween Masquerade Ball?" he asked bouncing back in that incredibly endearing way he had.

"Um, yeah sure! I'll see you Monday at school then ok?"

"Yeah, bye Chi!"

"Goodbye Goku," she responded softly. Somehow, as she hung up that goodbye felt very final to her. She turned to look at Bulma before bursting into tears. Bulma enfolded her in a comforting embrace, not saying a word just letting her friend cry.

Awww, poor Chichi! Heh, heh, well that's some of the drama promised in the rating. What's gonna happen to Chichi and Goku? Will Vegeta and Bulma ever hook up? What are they going to do about the newly discovered status of 18? Is Krillin ever going to get some action in this? Who's going to be the last angel? Am I very tempted to turn this into some twisted soap opera type story where everyone dies and their good/evil twin double comes back to take their place before they all get sold to aliens and eventually fall in love with their captors before once more 'dying' in car wrecks, poison attempts and assorted natural disasters that occur very randomly and frequently and then have it turn out that they didn't really die in their second 'deaths'(or their first ones for that matter since the whole twin thing was really due to the fact that they all had amnesia), and that it was all an elaborate scheme to cash in on their insurance plans so they'd have enough money to bribe the people they like into sleeping with them, before trying to claim/deny that they're having/the father of that person's child… Should Mistress lay off the caffeine? o_O ::clears throat:: Anywhoo… be grateful I'm not, on either accounts, lol.

| So yeah, same old, same old. Please review! And I'd love to hear you're suggestions or ideas about whose going to be
| the last angel. It won't change who it's going to be, but I'd love to hear it anyways!
