Two girls stand back to back on an rocky outcroping, one with bat wings and the other with angel wings. As they open their eyes and look up, their bodies give off an elctric energy that spreads through out the area and wipes the area flat clean like a chalk board...

17) Nightmares

Back in the land of the Kais Goku, Kabito, & Supreme Kai were busy watching the fight between Gotenks and Buu while Elder Kai continued to awaken Gohan's sleeping powers. Just as Gohan was being told to sit still by Elder Kai, Anyanka appeared five feet behind Goku with a sleeping Angelina in her arms.
"Geez sis, you're gotta cut back on those Peanut Butter Cups," Anyanka said as a hamock appeared in the air and she placed her sister in it.
"Anynka?" Supremem Kai asked, confused.
"Hi! I'm back," Anyanka said, very chipper as she sat down on an invisible bar stool.
"Yeah, but why?" Goku asked.
"Angelique told me to grab Angelina and to come here," Anyanka said, glancing at her sleeping sister sadly.
"What's wrong with Angelina?" Supreme Kai asked.
"I don't know. First Angelique makes her pull a Scatter which nearly drains all her energy, then Angelique sicks Buu after her just to give the boys extra training time, and Buu brought her back like this...well not extaclly like this, Dende must have healed all her phsyical wounds," Anyanka said, musing the last part aloud.
"Psycial wounds?" Kabito asked and Anyanka nodded.
"No matter how much healing power one has, you can never heal the wounds of the mind...and something tells me that she's sleeping like this to heal some of them," Anyanka said, a hidden tone of worry to her voice as she turned her attention to the fight on Earth as she floated over to the crystal ball on the ground.
"Is there anything we should do for her?" Goku asked and Anyanka shook her head.
"No, she has to sort this out on her own," Anyanka said, sadly...

Meanwhile, Angelina found herself in her dark place...well, it use to be her dark place but when she and Angelique got their own bodies, she gave it to her. Angelina looked around with souless eyes as rain fell in reverse. She was standing on one of the many brown stepping stones that breched the surface...yet the stone that was the window to the light place was gone. Darkness spread out around her, making it appear that the horizon streched on for miles. There she stood in her true form and her new outfit as small wounds littered her skin and bleed freely to stain the water below a dark red color. The silence that once blanketed her was now shattered by the sound of her own heartbeat. This stirred surprise in her eyes as she raised her right hand and placed it over her chest to feel her heart beating under her flesh.
'My heart...it's...it's beating...' Angelina thought yet her words echoed around her as if she had spoken them.
'I'm alive...yet I am not,' Angelina thought as she took her hand off her chest and looked at her wounds. After stareing at them for a moment, they slowly began to heal.
'Where there is no pain, there are no wounds...on the surface at least,' Angelina thought and placed her hand back on her chest.
'My heart...isn't whole. Two peices of my heart is missing...one I gave to Darkness...and I gave one to her...my daughter...my sister..." Angelina thought as she began to teter back and forth on her own feet.
'Do I have enough heart left to...' Angelina thought as she fell backwards into the water but rather than the water splashing upwards around her, it splashed away from her as if she were under the water rather than on top of it...

Anyanka gasped lightly and glanced over at her sister who was still sleeping peacfully in the hamock that was suspended in thin air.
"Anyanka?" someone asked.
"I'm fine, what's happening now?" Anyanka asked as she turned back to the crystal ball.
'Sis, what are you doing back on Earth?' she thought and she secretly tried to find where Angelina had gone...

Angelina found herself walking through the ruins of a city...the idenity of which had been scrubbed away when Buu went through and killed everyone earlier. As she walked through the silent town, she could hear the past echoing in her ears. The sounds of the last moments of the people that once lived there. Angelina tried to ignor these sounds at first but found that she couldn't as thr wind blew right through her astral body. Soon she came by a grocery store and saw two familar figures inside grabbing something to eat and drink.
"Bee? Hercule?" Angelina asked as she walked right through the doors of the building. Hercule looked up when he heard his name and saw Angelina just after she entered the store.
"Angelina! You're alive!" he exclaimed as he jumped to his feet.
"If you call this living," Angelina said a detached voice that made Hercule raise an eyebrow in confusion.
"Hey, I see you've got some new cloths. They look very nice," Hercule said, quickly changing the subject. Angelina looked at him confussed then looked in the reflective glass of the cooler doors. For the first time, Angelina saw her new outfit. She played with the skirt a bit and turned around as she looked at it from all around, finding that she also had a green sash wrapped around her waist and tied up in the back in a big bow.
"Hmmm," Angelina hummed, contiplating how she got these cloths. Seeing the sad look in her eyes, Hercule reached out to put a comforting hand on her right shoulder only to be shocked when it went right through her.
"AHHH! YOU'RE A GHOST!" Hercule screamed as he jumped back from her.
"Don't be absurd! I'm not dead, I'm just dream walking," Angelina spat out angrily while she kept her eyes glued to the glass in front of her.
"Dream Walking?" Hercule asked, confussed.
"Yes, it's what we do when we go to sleep. While our bodies rest our souls go out and explore, thus it's called Dream Walking," Angelina said, finally looking at Hercule with the same sad eyes that made him calm down a bit.
"I can hear them all Hercule...I can hear their screams...over and over again," Angelina said.
"Hear who Angelina?" Hercule asked, hopefull that it was more people.
"The ones he killed...the ones who once lived here...I can hear them die over and over again," Angelina said as she hung her head sadly as she tried to conceal the tears her eyes for hse hated to cry in front of people except in cases of funerals. Hercule gritted his teeth in anger when he heard this.
"Dman, why is he doing this. I thought he said he was going to stop killing people," Hercule said.
"Your Buu did say he was going to stop killing but this is a different Buu," Angelina exclaimed as she looked back up at Hercule.
"I don't understand," Hercule said.
'I'm not surprised,' Angelina thought.
"Remember when your Buu became two Buus?" Angelina asked and Hercule nodded.
"Your Buu was the good Buu...and that grey thing was the bad Buu. When the Bad Buu ate the Good Buu, he absorbed all of the good Buu's powers and evolved. So that's the Bad Buu out there wrecking havoc," Angelina explained.
"Is there a way to turn him back?" Hercule asked.
"I wish I knew," Angelina said sadly as she turned away from Hercule while she slowly vanished. Hercule reached out to stop her but just passed right through her once more...

Anyanka kept glanceing back and forth from the orb to her sleeping sister.
"Anyanka, something's wrong isn't it?" she heard someone ask. She looked up to see three worried faces looking at her. Anyanka sighed knowing that she couldn't keep it secret any longer.
"My sister is more than just sleeping, she's Dream Walking," Anyanka said. While Supreme Kai and Kabito gasped, Goku looked confussed.
"Dream Walking?" he asked.
"It's a form of astral project that's performed while one is asleep," Supreme Kai said.
"That's right. Angelina has been Dream Walking ever since we came here...Dream Walking between the Waking Realm and the Dream Realm," Anyanka said.
"What?! Is that possible?" Kabito asked and Anyanka nodded.
"What's really bothering me is that Angelina is Dream Walking mostly on Earth whenevr she crosses over to the Waking Realm. I can sense her spirit on your Earth...but I can't tell where she is," Anyanka said, worried. Just as a heavy silence began to settle around her, Gohan got done with his last leg of meditation and tested out his news powers which blew away the Supreme Kai and most the vegitation around Gohan. While the others looked on stunned, Anyanka caught the Elder Kai in a fishing net.
"Hmm, looks a little puny. Maybe I should toss him back?" Anyanka said as she held up the net with one hand and held the other to her chin in thought.
"Why you impurtant little...! Put me down this instant!" Elder Kai yelled as he kicked and tore at the net which made Anyanka hold him away at arm's length.
"Ok, whatever you say," Anyanka simply said and dropped the net which resulted in Elder Kai falling to the ground with a heavy thus that shook his body. Elder Kai began to yell at her again while the others just let out heavy sighs.
"Well, I guess I'll head over to the Earth now," Gohan said.
"Wait, I'm coming with you," Anyanka said.
"Oh, running away are you?" Elder Kai asked.
"If you haven't noticed, my sister's soul is still on that planet. If she stays there to long she'll never wake up," Anyanka said.
"I know that," Elder Kai said and Anyanka face faulted.
"If you knew that you should have said so to begin with," Anyanka yelled angrily at Elder Kai, imitating Lina Inverse.
"Uh Anyanka, Gohan and Kabito just left," Goku said tentivally.
"What!? Oh you are so paying for this old man," Anyanka said as she thre one last glare at Elder Kai before she vanished from the land of the Kais.
"So, Angelina is Dream Walking back on Earth while her body rests here," Elder Kai said as he dusted himself off.
"Yes, it's quite confussing," Supreme Kai said as Elder Kai walked over to the sleeping Angelina and started at her for a moment.
"What is he doing?" Goku asked and Supreme Kai shruged.
"Maybe the Sleeping Beauty just needs a kiss to wake up," Elder Kai said with a grin.
"Oh no you don't," Goku said as he stormed up and picked the Elder Kai up by the scruff of his collar.
"What do you think you are doing?! Put me down this instant," Elder Kai screamed as he squrimed around trying to free his cloths from Goku's grip.
"Ok," Goku said and simply dropped him as Spureme Kai looked on with a dropped jaw look.
"What is this?! Drop Elder Kai Day?!" Elder Kai shouted angrily at Goku.
"Don't you remember what Angelina warned you? She said she had a powerful kiss," Goku warned.
"Of course I remember but wouldn't you like to wake her up so that Anyanka doesn't have to be on Earth putting her life in danger?" Elder Kai asked.
"He has a point. It seems that Anyanka forgot to factor in the fight between Buu and Gotenks," Supreme Kia said.
"See, so if we can wake her Anyanka can return here where it's safe," Elder Kai said as Goku just glared at him.
"You just want that kiss," Goku said.
"Well, that too," Elder Kai said as Goku sighed heavily.
"Fine, gof for it," Goku said. Elder Kai grinned and stepped up to the sleeping Angelina and leaned in to kiss her as Supreme Kai and Goku held their breath...and the moment Elder's Kai lips touched Angelina's he was shot by a thousand volts of electrity! Elder Kai shouted as he did the whole hang in the air while being turned to a skeleton for a moment thing before he jumped back and away from Angelina.
"Supreme Elder!" Supreme Kai gasped as the Elder Kai fell to his knees while smoke came off his semi charred body.
"Woah! What a kiss," Elder Kai said just as Kabito returned.
"Anyanka has given me a message for the Elder Kai," Kabito said.
"Oh, what is it?" Elder Kai said as he dusted himself off once more.
"Don't kiss my sister while she's dream walking unless you want to jolted into next Tuesday," Kabito said and Elder Kai looked up Kabtio grimly.
"Now she tells me," he said as Goku sighed with this 'I told you so' look on his face.
