Thinking Of You

Late at night,

When the stars come out for us…

I find my mind wanders back,

To a special day…

The time when our eyes met

And my heart skipped several beats.

I was shy then,

Had a few times when we could not

Speak for long and yet…

We did.

I'm glad that day happened

Because now today had come.

Late at night,

When the crickets sing their lullaby,

I sit here, my mind gone wild

And a cat by my side…

Just thinking, thinking of you.
