Trunks: I have to keep my energy down. Maybe I should land here and walk.

He ducked behind some trees and watched the training capsule. Vegeta emerged from the training capsule and looked around. Then he leaned against it as if bored, crossing his arms.

Vegeta: I know you are around here somewhere. Which one of you fools is it. Yamcha? Krillin? Come out or I'll blast you out!

Trunks: Oh no he sensed me!

Yamcha: I'm no fool. You are if you think you're gonna get Bulma!

Trunks: Huh! So Yamcha was here! Whew!

Yamcha: How did you know I was here anyway?

Vegeta: I smelled you.

Yamcha: What! Why you !! If anyone smells around here, it's you and that ego of yours really stinks too.

Vegeta: Shut! Up! Your senseless babbling is giving ...me... a ...headache! Now listen here. You and Bulma are done with.

Yamcha: Just what do you mean?

Vegeta: She's mine. And if you so much as even look at her, I'll kill you like the rabid dog you are. Got me?

Yamcha: What? No? What could she possibly see in you?

Vegeta: I don't know and frankly don't care. Maybe it's the fact that I'm no weakling like you or that fool Kakkarot

Yamcha: Do you even love her?

Vegeta: What that have to do with anything? I have no need of love. She carries my child and that's all that matters.

Yamcha: She...she...she what?

Trunks: Yes! At least that isn't screwed up.

He tiptoed past Yamcha and Vegeta, who were now being yelled at by Bulma. He sneaked into the lab and put on a lab mask and coat.

Trunks: Ok this should work. Excuse me ..Mr. Miyamoto sir?

Class: Yes?

Trunks: Where the young lady you were working with?

Class: Miss Sienna? She went off with my son somewhere. You know how young love is.

Trunks: Huh?

Class: Oh you didn't know she was involved huh? Sorry.

Trunks: Where did they go?

Class: Don't know.

Trunks: Thanks..

Trunks left and ran down the street. He wandered around town trying to figure out where she might be. He knew she was in some sort of trouble. He could feel her anxiety. He could feel her fear. Suddenly it began to overcome him as it got stronger. He stopped walking and took in his surroundings. He was in the alley where it all began.

Trunks: Of course I should have looked here! This is where she was running from that night!

He stood trying to pinpoint her location.

Ilia: This isn't a good idea.

Trunks: Ilia, when did you get here?

Ilia: I was waiting for you. She can't be helped Trunks.

Trunks: What do you mean?

Ilia: I mean it's time for you to leave, now.

Trunks: I'm not leaving her.

Ilia: You have no choice. Do you feel her fear? Can you sense her now?

Trunks:.......no. What happened? Is....she dead?

Ilia: As you knew her, yes.

Trunks: What do you mean " As I knew her" ?

Ilia: You don't need to know.

Trunks: Ilia, tell me.

Ilia: We are wasting time! Let's go!

Trunks: What's going on here?

Suddenly loud voices could be heard coming from one of the building.

Female voice: A hahahahaha! This is great!

Male: Yea . Thanks Pops.

Ilia: Oh no Oh no! Trunks you can't stay any longer.

Trunks stared at the building. Fear seized every muscle in his body. He knew those voice. He hears them in his dreams, no nightmares. Ilia grabbed his arm transporting them to The Time Palace.

Trunks: How did the androids get there? How could you just leave Sienna?

Ilia: Nothing can be done for here now.

Trunks: They.....they killed her...... ruthless-

Ilia: No. They didn't kill her at all. Dr. Gero did.

Trunks: What! He killed his own daughter?

Ilia: You can say that.

Trunks: Stop talking in riddles!

Ilia: The Sienna you knew is dead. Gero turned her into one of his insane experiments. She has become who you know as 18....and 17 is Session.

Trunks: ................please tell me this is a joke.

Trunks looked at Ilia. He could see she wasn't making it up. Trunks walked out to the garden. He tried to keep his temper under control. Trunks looked at Ilia who stood watching him from the doorway.

Trunks: How could you? How could you let this happen?

Ilia: I couldn't stop it from happening. That's not my job.

Trunks: Don't tell me that! You brought me here. You asked me to do things in a time where I'm not yet born. I have changed this timeline and many others. Why couldn't you let me stop the androids from even being made?

Ilia: It's difficult to explain.

Trunks: DIFFICULT? No! Do you want to know what is difficult? Living know you could have stopped a disaster from even occurring. How about living with the knowledge that your family and friends are going to die because you let them. Maybe living with the knowledge of know you have to kill a friend. This could have been prevented! They are going to kill so many innocent people. The children, my dad and Gohan.....

Ilia buried her face in her hands. Her walked into the palace. Trunks could hear her sobbing. He was glad she went inside as the tears streamed down his face.

Princess: Are you ready Trunks?

Trunks: How can I ever be?

Princess: She has no memory of you. Ilia was right in saying she was dead.

Trunks: But-

Princess: You remember her? Yes I know. Trunks you have a mission and it is important that you stay on that mission. Everyone depends on you in your world. You have to let go.

Trunks: I'm not heartless.

Princess: Yes that is why what happened has happened.

Trunks: I don't understand.

Princess: I know. You won't be able to.

Trunks: What can I do now?

Princess: Continue fighting.

Trunks: How can I she was a friend?

Princess: Go back to your time.

Trunks: What's the use. How can I face Lesson again , knowing I have to kill his brother. How can I kill them know who they once were?

Princess: You will do what is right.

Ilia: He always has.

Trunks turned to her.

Trunks: Sorry Ilia. I shouldn't have taken it put on you.

Ilia: It is partially my fault. Come I'll take you to your ship.

She transported them back to Earth. She looked up to him and blushed.

Ilia: I didn't mean to involve you like this.

Trunks: You said earlier that this was meant to happen. What did you mean?

Ilia: Oh...nothing!

Trunks: You can't just say something like that and mean nothing by it. If I wasn't supposed to end up in Sienna's body, what was the reason for me to be here?

Ilia: I wanted to meet you. Good luck Trunks.

She kissed his cheek then vanished. Trunks stood dazed for a moment.

Trunks: heh...I'm glad we meet Ilia.

He climbed into his pod and checked to see if everything was working. He set the coordinates for his time and pushed the button. He looked out at the land. The animals ran free not in terror and he spotted a little boy and girl playing tag. As those images burned themselves in his mind he knew he would do whatever it took to restore order back to the world he lived in.
