Chapter Two: The New Girl

Vegeta stared up at the large school building in all its glory. The name of the school made him sick, and the badge made him even more sick. After pulling the small, round, purple-starred badge from his pocket, Vegeta just snorted and dropped it on the ground. Goku on the other hand, and a few feet behind, picked it up and tried to give it back.

"Hey Vegeta, I think you dropped this." He called to the other man.

Vegeta just sighed heavily and took it from him. 'That was the whole idea, dumbass,' he thought to himself. He then just began walking to the front doors and entering the building.

Vegeta loathed every part of the high school that he had just walked into. He hated how he was forced into a very crowded area with all of his peers. He hated how they all congregated about nothing of any importance. He hated them.

He waited for Goku to enter the double doors and then walked over to one certain wall, designated by their clique, for their clique. Every morning, each member of the group, Vegeta, Goku, his girlfriend Chichi, Kuririn, his girlfriend 18, and sometimes Vegeta's ex, Noin. And today was one of those days.

But there was someone different in the tiny circle today, someone new. Vegeta, curious as to who it was, asked the person clutching her arm.

"And who is this?" Vegeta asked with a little too much annoyance in his voice.

Chichi smiled and suddenly became her blonde-ditzy, cheerleader-like self. "Oh, I guess I should introduce you guys to a new friend. Guys, this is Bulma," she said nearly thrusting her into the circle and thus into the clique.

"Uh, hi." She was way to nervous to speak at the moment and, though she loved attention, she didn't really want any right now.

"Oh great! Like we need another cheerleader," Vegeta said, his voice oozing with sarcasm. If there was one thing he really didn't like, it was preppy cheerleaders.

Bulma, suddenly finding her attitude, glared at the guy who had just spoken. "Excuse me, asshole, but when did I ever say I was a cheerleader. I would never stoop so low."

Vegeta smirked when he saw Chichi's face fall. He then saw Goku wrap an arm around her. Life was sweet when `friends' said bad things about each other. "What a coincidence," Vegeta said, "Neither do I."

"Then maybe out of spite, I'll join the cheerleading squad." Bulma said sticking her tongue out. Things weren't getting of on the right foot on her first day.

"I thought you wouldn't stoop so low," he said with a devilish smile. Something about how she had just become a challenge made him think twice about her.

Before Bulma could respond, a loud bell signaled the start of the day and Vegeta just took his book with him to his first period class. But before he could get anywhere, Goku stopped him.

"Bulma needs someone to show her where the office is, Vegeta. Do you think you could do it?" Goku pleaded.

`Great,' Vegeta almost thought out loud. He was then walking side by side with a girl whom he had just met, headed to a place he really didn't like to go. Peachy.

"So, just out of curiosity, what's your first class?" Vegeta asked her after she walked out of the office, a schedule in her hand.

"Algebra II. Oh joy," she said sarcastically.

"Looks like I'll have to see more of you than I would like. We've got the same place to go." Vegeta responded. He too had Algebra II in the morning.

So the pair walked down one wing of the school to their classroom and were met with some of the other members of the group. And the day went on.
