To Find Out Where I Belong

Chapter 1: Someone from my past

(Future Trunks had just come back from the past to help defeat the androids and Cell.)

" Hey mom, is there anything you want me to do around the house?" asked Trunks, it had been a few weeks since he had come back from the past. "No Trunks, I just need you to come with me to the city, I need help on carrying the tool supply." Said Bulma with a smile on her face. Bulma and Trunks got into the air car and drove off to the city.

In the city Trunks and his mother had just left the store with everything they needed. It was a lot of stuff so Trunks carried them for his mother. He had so many stuff that he couldn't were he was going. All of a sudden this girl about his age ran right into him, causing all the things he had fall on the ground. Automatically the girl who ran into him bent down to pick up the stuff he dropped." I am so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going."

Said the raven-haired girl. Her hair was in the way so he couldn't see her face. Bulma was right by her son's side feeling something very familiar about the girl in front of them. Right when the girl stood up Bulma gasped, she looked so much like Chi Chi when she was young. Bulma wanted to say Chi Chi but she, Chi Chi, died a year ago from a broken heart. So Bulma thought it could be only one person. "Che Chi?" the girl was surprised at what she heard, she didn't even know this women. How could she know her name? "Excuse me but how do you know my name?"

Trunks was a bit confused, he had heard if Che Chi, he also heard that she was kidnapped and most likely dead. But she did look a little like Chi Chi, only she was his age.

"I knew your family very well, you look just like your mother, Chi Chi when she when she was your age." Bulma had tears in her eyes; it has been years since she has seen anyone from Goku's family. Che Chi was surprised again, she has heard of that name before, when was really little.

*Flashback*

A young man and his son were playing with a little baby girl, even though it was tine for her to sleep.

"Goku!" yelled a young lady walking towards her husband with her arms crossed and her eyebrows rose. " What are you doing to my baby?" Goku put his hand behind his head laughing nervously and replied. "I was only playing with her, Chi Chi, that's all." Chi Chi just sighed and told him "Che Chi needs sleep now, but when she wakes up you can play with her, alright." Chi Chi said with a smile.

*End of Flashback*

'That smile, so kind and sweet, I want to see my mother again, but is she still alive? "Um, do you know if my mother is alive or not?" Bulma frowned and nodded her head. "She died from a broken heart about a year ago." When Che Chi heard this she had tears in her eyes, threatening to fall. She was taught not to show your weaknesses, but she didn't care. She had ended her searching for her family to find out she doesn't have one. Che Chi gave Trunks the stuff that he had dropped. "I'm sorry for running into you sir, and I'm really sorry for wasting both of your time. I hope you would have a good life." Che Chi said with her head down to the ground. With that she turns to leave, but is stopped by the voice of Bulma.

"Wait, I think that there is a way you can see your family." Both Che Chi and Trunks where surprised at this, they didn't really understand what she meant.

Bulma let Che Chi stay over their house.

"Your going to take her to the past aren't you mom." Bulma just smiled at her son. "Not exactly, Trunks." Trunks was confused. "What do you mean mother?" Bulma had an even bigger smile "I mean you are going with her." Trunks did not think of that. "So when do we leave?" "When do who leave?" Trunks and Bulma turned towards the doorway to see Che Chi in one of Bulma's old pajama's she let her barrow. "Oh Che Chi, come sit down, I want to tell you something." Che Chi sat down and looked at her. "Well, what is it?" Bulma just smiled at her. "I am going to send you and Trunks to the past to meet your family." Che Chi was speechless; this was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for her. Che Chi turned to look at Trunks and asked, "When are we going to leave, Trunks?" Che Chi saw Trunks Blushing. It was because of the pajamas she was wearing, it was showing most of her curves. She started to blush also; she had just now paid attention to what she was wearing. Trunks tried to stop blushing but couldn't. He replied to her, stuttering "To…Tomorrow morning, so we should get plenty of rest." With that both Che Chi and Trunks went to their separate rooms and went to sleep.

In the morning, Che Chi and Trunks woke up early, so they can leave as soon as possible. They met up with Bulma in her lab where she has finished building a new time machine, which was able to carry at least two people. Trunks and Che Chi said their goodbyes to Bulma and took off. Che Chi couldn't wait to be there, she was finally going to see her family, and find out whom she really was.
