The five days it took to reach FreezaÕs base passed quickly. Kiana continued to ignore her father. Gohan was sent to keep watch outside her quarters after the night Goten and her had dinner together. Gohan was still teasing Goten about it. The time came when theyÕd be entering FreezaÕs atmosphere. The night before the landing, Vegeta finally came to his daughterÕs door. He dismissed Gohan and knocked on her door. ÒYea?Ó she said calmly, not knowing if it was Goten, or her father, seeing as no one else seemed to bother her lately. The door opened slowly and Vegeta strutted in. Kiana looked up for a moment and realized it was him. She kept her eyes on the floor and her mouth shut. ÒHere.Ó he said abruptly. He handed her a box. She opened it and found her pink gown in it. ÒGohan found your trunk full of your dresses in the supply room.Ó His voice was normal, irritated with the troubles around him. ÒI was certain i left that in space when we took off.Ó she said to herself. Vegeta heaürd her and, as calmly as he could, said ÒNappa informed me of our missing luggage and i had Gohan bring it back in before it was out of reach.Ó Kiana rolled her eyes. ÒYou are to wear this and your crown tomorrow. We will be arriving on the base first thing in the morning.Ó Without waiting for a response, Vegeta left his daughter with her thoughts.
Kiana and Goten didnt have much contact after that one night, considering how she wasnÕt to leave her room and Goten was posted at a different sight the remainder of the trip. The morning of the arrival, when Kiana left her quarters for the final time, she saw Goten walking down the hall. When he saw her, his eyes widened. ÒYou look..breathtaking miss.Ó Kiana smiled. Before leaving, she whispered in his ear, ÒYou can call me Kiana.Ó
Kiana, Trunks, Bulma and Vegeta were all dressed for the occasion. Gohan and Goten were in their best soldiers uniform and stood at attention behind the family. Out of the corner of her eye, Kiana could see Goten standing behindº her. Goten turned his head towards her. Kiana quickly straightened up and looked forward. ÒPut him on the screen.Ó Vegeta said to a communicator officer. Soon, the slimy lizard king was on the large screen before everyone. Kiana couldnt look. She kept her eyes downward and took deep breaths. ÒWelcome King Vegeta and family.Ó Freeza said. Kiana quivered at the sound of his creepy voice. Goten, now directly in back of Kiana, quietly said in a reassuring voice ÒIt will be over soon.Ó She turned her head slightly and smiled. ÒAh, Queen Bulma, you look even more stunning each time i see you.Ó Freeza said with an evil smirk upon his monstrous face. She nodded slightly, keeping her eyes down. ÒAnd this must be your daughter.Ó Freeza said, directing his attention toward Kiana. ÒYes,Ó Vegeta calmly said. ÒThis is my daughter Kiana.Ó KianaÕs muscles stiffened, knowing that creepy freak was looking at her. She closed her eyes and nodded her head. ÒHm™..exquisite, juss like her mother. I think the boys will be satisfied.Ó Vegeta cringed at the thought. ÒWell, iÕll let all of you get settle. The celebration will take place tomorrow night. I expect all of you will attend. Until then, make yourselves at home.Ó Freeza gave them one last smirk and the screen was blank. Vegeta turned to see Goten standing behind Kiana. He narrowed his eyes and started to bark orders. ÒGohan, escort Kiana to her room. Goten, go with Trunks. Now!!Ó Everyone got their stuff and did as the King ordered. As Gohan and Kiana walked down the long hall to her room, all the soldiers turned their head at the sight of fresh meat. Gohan, however, was very protective, giving the soldiers stern looks as to say Stay away. They finally reached her room just as Zarbon was rounding the corner. His stern face quickly turned to a smirk as he saw Kiana. ÒSo that must be VegetaÕs mutt. Hehheh.Ó he th™ought to himself. He walked over to her, not noticing Gohan fumbling through his pockets, trying to find the key. ÒSo, are you owned wench?Ó Zarbon said from behind her. Kiana, startled from the sound of his sinking voice, quickly turned around to the amused soldier. Gohan looked up and saw Zarbon with an evil look in his eyes. ÒHey, sheÕs not for sale. Now back off.Ó he said sternly right in ZarbonÕs face. ÒHmph.Ó ZarbonÕs smile then turned to a frown. ÒWell,Ó he said to Kiana while walking away, Òone day you wont have your monkeys to protect you.Ó and went as quickly as he came. ÒWho was that?Ó a confused Kiana asked. ÒZarbon.
