Ch-2

“….what do we do now?” Matti asked her friend quietly.

The saiyan shook his head. “Just stay quiet and let me handle this, ‘kay?” He saw her nod out of the corner of his eye and continued to examine the stranger below them.

Being deafened by the eerie/awkward silence, Matti couldn’t take it and asked, “Hey, you guys were gonna kill him, right? As in, you thought he was the enemy?”

“Thought?” Vegeta mused out loud. He glared at the girl. “What do you mean by that? Isn’t he the one you warned us about?!”

Matti gulped, feeling stupid that she asked. Her cheeks lightly glazed in embarrassment. “How the hell were we supposed know you guys didn‘t know that he’s not even one!” She suddenly smacked Trunks in the back of his head. “You Never Told Them What They LOOKED like??! What The HELL?!”

Piccolo tried not forcing himself to wonder who Matti was, but it was a little too hard not to. She made such a spectacle of herself and poor Trunks. “Hold on. He isn’t one of the androids?”

The two shook their heads. “No….I’ve never seen..‘this’ in my life.” Trunks answered.

“Wonderful!” Vegeta snapped, “I knew something was wrong with you! How-”

“Cram it with walnuts already, Jack-ass! So my friend made a mistake, back--off! Like you haven‘t in your lovely life!!”

Trunks just about died once the words escaped Matti‘s mouth. He turned to her, hoping his ears heard wrong. His eyes proved he was perfectly right, however, when he saw his father’s body trembling with rage. He covered his face with his hand, shaking his head.

“What-did-you-just-call-me?” The prince seethed through gritted teeth. The golden aura around him grew amazingly, causing the other fighters to move away. They didn’t want to be caught in the cross fire.

“….Matti…….” Trunks warned.

She shot a look at him, then turned her back on Vegeta.

This enraged the saiyan even more. “Don’t you dare turn your back on me! You have no idea that you’re dealing with the most powerful being in the universe! If you can‘t hold an insult, then keep your trap shut, wench!!”

Matti rolled her eyes, looking at Trunks. “That was a terrific come back…”

“What?!!”

“Just shut up, old man, and who ever was going to finish the android off, do it! The less androids, the better.” Matti snapped, keeping her back to Vegeta.

Trunks had to wonder what force could change his friend so easily. First, she was the naïve Matti he knew, now she was in a cocky, battle mode. He just couldn’t figure it out. What he did know was her cover up attitude, exactly like the one when they first landed the time machine. His girl was just a mixed bag of nuts, and he didn’t care.

Vegeta smirked, crossing his arms to his chest. His aura had calmed a bit, but he kept it up high to show her how powerful he was. “Why don’t you finish it off with that metal toothpick strapped to your back? If you think your so tough with that decoration….”

Matti snarled, whirling around. “Take That BACK!!!!”

“Matti, stop it!” Trunks pleaded, “Just let this battle end, please!” He could sense her anger skyrocket at the mention of her ancestor’s weapon being a decoration and knew he had to stop her from beating his father into a ‘fairy-laree’. He knew she could do it too.

Forcing herself, and ki, to calm, Matti heaved an uncomfortable sigh and glared down to the android as he watched them from the rocks.

Piccolo watched the girl carefully. He noted her reaction to both Trunks and Vegeta. She was nothing like Trunks at all, but was at least 70% uncanny to Vegeta. His memories ran back to Trunks’ conversation with Goku. Not once could he remember hearing Trunks saying he had a sibling of any sort. He just could not figure out who this girl was. He turned back to the enemy when she told the android to not make a move. That was when he noticed it had changed position somewhat.

“Thanks to you two, it could have escaped just then.” Piccolo said, “Since I was given the honor, I’ll finish him.”

“Well do it already!” Matti shouted over, earning another sneer from the saiyan prince.

“Remind me to thank PMS for you…..” Trunks muttered. He smirked, seeing her face light up. She pouted and folded her arms, turning away. She was lucky he didn’t say it loud enough for the others to hear. His face faulted, haring an engine off in the distance.

Matti’s saiyan ears caught it too, and she turned.
