PROLOGUE
There is nothing quite as annoying as a seven year old child asking the normal question any child asks on a road trip. But, having had listened to `Are we there yet?' for the past two years Katrina was bound to lose her last bit of patience. This time, however, she could answer with something other than `not yet'.
Staring out the window of her space pod, she pointed to the beautiful blue planet below her ship. "That is earth Dacra." Ruffling her son's spiky black hair, she noticed that his gray-green eyes were bright and dancing with mischief. ~ "Uh oh…" ~
"Do you think there will be any kids my age there? I feel kind of bad for leaving the snake lady's little cousin with a broken arm." Grinning, he started bouncing around then got into a fighting pose and, with one loud `Hee-Yah', hit her in the leg.
"Oof! I am losing again, Ieee…" She crossed her eyes even as she stuck her tongue out at the small boy.
"Mom!" Dacra sighed and shook his head. "Really, you should grow up."
Laughing, she studied his serious features, glad that he resembled his father so much more than he did her. "Dacra, go take a bath and dress in sensible clothes, we don't want to frighten the locals."
"Does that mean we're landing soon?"
"With in the hour so you better hurry."
Jumping in the air, he whooped for joy, his little fist barely hitting the ceiling.
While he ran off to get ready, she sat down in on of the many chairs to think. Mostly about her deceased mate. "Mirjai…why did you have to go on that mission and leave me alone?" She glanced out the window again, her eyes resting on the blue planet looming ahead of her. "How will I find the other saiya-jins on this planet?"
