Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Twisted Dimensions ❯ The Danger Throws Your World ( Chapter 5 )
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
We emerged from the portal into a bright, sunny day on top a grassy, green hill. Clouds lazily drifted pass and the grass rippled with the wind.
We were on the top of some kind of small valley. We were standing on a small cliff that over looked several trees and a stream. I turned and looked over the valley and Catgirl stood beside me, Cell was behind both of us, "Are you sure we're in the right place?"
I was thinking about where I could have dropped my choker. It must have been somewhere around dino domain. This place didn't look like a wasteland.
"Well," Cell started, looking over the terrain himself, "It's probably a good place to start looking if you think the Namek has the choker."
I groaned, "I really hope he doesn't have it, cause I don't want to have to be the one to erase his mind again."
Cell went on, "In a place like this, I wouldn't be surprised to find a lake around here," He turned slightly toward me, "Wouldn't you like to see Piccolo..."
"Cell!" Catgirl shrieked before he could get detailed.
I growled at Cell as Catgirl held me back to keep me from killing him, "Cell! When I get my hands on you, you'll wish..."
Cell suddenly held up a hand at me and pointed behind us, down in the valley.
I stopped my struggling as a tingle went down my spine. Something bad was going to happen.
Catgirl and I turned at the same time to get a look at what Cell was pointing at.
Our eyes got as wide as saucers as we spotted the famous, green Namek. Looking directly at us.
"Uh," I said through a fixed smile on my face, "We are invisible, right?"
I looked over Piccolo as I thought about what I had said. We should be invisible to everyone except authors.
"Hey Jen," Catgirl said, "He does have your choker. It's in his hand."
I looked and indeed it was there, hanging from his right hand. My eyes drifted to his other hand, "Guys, he sees us..."
Cell scratched his head, "How can you tell?"
BOOM!
Piccolo's ki blast hit the cliff, causing the entire hill to give way. It started to collapse.
I was shocked only for a moment before I tried to get off the rock by flying. But something was very wrong.
Instead of going up like I had planned, gravity pulled my down towards the ground, "What the hell!?"
The ground was coming faster and I concentrated harder to stop myself.
It was working! I felt the rush of air around me slow down and I set myself safely on the ground, "Catgirl!"
I looked around, she wasn't on the ground so I glanced up into the air. Cell was holding onto her, glaring daggers past me. Had to be at Piccolo.
I turned towards the Namek and clenched my jaw, "I refuse to be the one to erase his mind again!"
Cell landed on the ground beside me, setting Catgirl down next to me. He wasn't taking his eyes off of Piccolo. The scowl on his face was set.
Piccolo had an equally set scowl on his face. He formed another ki blast in his hand and took a step toward us.
"Oh no," I muttered, "We are not going to start World War III."
My wishes were ignored as Cell shook free of Catgirl and charged Piccolo.
I slapped my face in annoyance and sheer stupidity, "Of course Cell is going to attack anyone he meets. It's simply in his nature..."
Catgirl looked down at her hands, "Your powers...they're gone too?"
I nodded as I watched the light show in front of me take place. Piccolo fired his Special Beam Canon at Cell the same time he fired a blast from his index finger.
I winced as both of their shots hit the other, "Wolfcry is going to have my ass on a silver platter..."
"Get out of here!"
My head snapped upward towards the voice.
Piccolo was telling us to vamoose and in doing so he took his eyes off Cell. When we shook our heads he just looked at us like we were crazy.
He looked Catgirl over before his eyes turned to me. Piccolo was overcome with a blank stare. You know the kind of stare that you get when you think you know someone, but you're not sure? That's the kind of stare Piccolo gave me right then.
Something was nagging me as I watched Piccolo watch me. How could he remember me in the first place? I did erase his mind...
BAM!
I shuddered as I realized Cell had taken advantage of Piccolo's loss of concentration and nailed him on the side of the head.
Piccolo smacked into the ground, creating a huge crater. Cell smirked and landed, glared down at his former opponent.
That was until Catgirl promptly walked over to him and smacked him upside his head.
He immediately lost his stature and clutched his aching head. Catgirl may have lost her powers, but she can deliver a punch that'll leave a mark. Special training we gave her since she volunteered to keep Cell, "You moron! You could have killed us, or worse, you could have killed him!"
I quickly took out the black box and pushed the button, hoping help would come quickly. The dust from the crater was clearing and Piccolo was lying facedown in the rubble.
I slid down the crater as Catgirl's voice met my ears, "Let's not waste anytime! Grab your choker and let's go!"
I looked around Piccolo's body, but I didn't see my choker anywhere. Oh well, too bad. I got down on my knees and turned Piccolo over by grabbing his shoulders. With him turned over so that his head rested on my arm, he started coming to.
"Sorry bout that," I said quietly, "We've been trying to work on Cell's temper."
Purple blood trickled from Piccolo's mouth to his chin. As if on instinct, I gently brushed it away.
Piccolo's eyes cracked open as he peered up at me, "Who are you?" He asked weakly.
"Jenny!" Catgirl hissed, "Let's go!"
"Go where? Your powers are all mine and you cannot possibly use them."
My eyes snapped open at the new voice, it was coming from above me.
The new comer was female, about 17. Her hair was a silvery-blackish color, and her dark, cobalt eyes added to the effect. A shiver ran down my spine, "Who are you?"
She was wearing black turtle-neck with the sleeves cut off and tight, blue jean pants with a silver chain belt, "I have a couple of names, but you can call me Rally. A former authoress back from the outside world."
I heard a gasp behind me, "You mean you were banished?" Catgirl asked, different emotions mixed in her voice. She probably had the same feeling as I did.
"Yes," Rally spoke clearly, "But I was banished unfairly and I want my revenge. I think I've waited long enough."
I thought about her name some more, it sounded so familiar. She couldn't be Hakutwo...could she?"
"The one and the same," Her voice cut through my thoughts.
I growled up at her, "I remember you! We banished you because you were trying to kill off all the Z-fighters!"
"So?" She answered in a huff, "I'm back to finished what I started."
"How are you going to take revenge on us and kill everyone off at the same time?" Catgirl asked, confidence in her voice was evident, but the was a little twinge of fear, "It can't be done!"
"Not to mention your powers are gone," I muttered as I helped Piccolo stand as he started moving to get a good look at the banished authoress.
"Well, my author powers are gone," She said, "But I've been perfecting other powers while I've been away. Ever wonder why your own powers suddenly went kaput on ya?"
Something about the way Rally said that made my blood run cold.
Rally seemed to think the silence sufficed as an answer and she went on, "I can control authors through their powers, and in doing so you pathetic weaklings will kill off the Z-warriors for me! It's the ultimate plan."
Rally put a hand to her chin thoughtfully and started thinking out-loud, "Although, I do have to be at least 50 feet between them. Otherwise the entire transfer won't..."
She turned to us as we were listening intensely, "But never mind that, let me show you."
My stomach tied itself into several knots as I realized she wasn't joking. She probably would have us attack all the fighters we were trying to protect, "We have to get away from them!"
My shouts came too late as an intense, sharp pain jabbed in my head. I immediately let go of Piccolo and clutched my head. Spots flashed before my eyes and I gasped in pain. I wavered on my feet and I slid to my knees.
I glanced to the left where Catgirl was struggling to stay on her feet. She would have fallen to her feet by now if Cell wasn't holding onto her.
Flashes of a bright, white light now came before my eyes and my head was throbbing. My whole body must have been trembling, because I felt a weight on my shoulder.
Piccolo was trying to steady me, for what reason I had no clue. Maybe he wanted me alive to answer his questions.
I let my eyes shut as the pain intensified and Rally's voice came demanding in my head, "Kill your beloved Piccolo."
I shook my head in answer and to try to removed the crazed author from my head.
"I will not be ignored," She growled, "Now I command you to attack Piccolo!"
Then it was like I was watching a movie through my own head. My actions were not my own. My body stopped trembling, but the pain persisted.
My eyes slid open at the will of some force other than my own. The force jerked my head up and locked onto Piccolo.
A growl emitted from my throat as my body leaped at him and knocked him onto the ground. I had pinned his shoulders to the ground with both my knees and I was preparing to choke him. Rally was going to choke him.
I looked in his eyes and gasped inwardly as I saw my own eyes in the reflection. They were a crimson red, glowing slightly. They were glaring daggers at the victim. I felt my fingers as they slid around the warm skin of Piccolo's neck. My thumbs passed over his Adam's Apple and rested on his windpipe just above his collarbone, preparing to crush it.
WHAM!
Thank the Kai's for whatever had knocked me off of Piccolo before I could do any damage. My body was angry and it looked for the reason as to why I wasn't choking Piccolo to his death right now.
I spotted Cell grasping Piccolo's hand and pulling him off the ground. Catgirl was unconscious on the ground behind Cell.
I spotted Rally as she growled in frustration. I was surprised that when she started speaking, my body spoke with her. But then she was controlling me at the current moment, duh, "You stupid android! You aren't supposed to be helping him! You're his enemy! No one is stopping you now! You could kill him and join me to take over the world!"
Cell was glaring daggers at her as he turned away from Piccolo and faced her, "I've had time to change."
Rally made me focus on Cell now, she didn't want him making any sudden moves I suppose. There was a pain in my right shoulder from where Cell had hit me, but it was far away. It was probably bleeding quite a bit by now...remind me to thank Cell later.
I glanced over at Catgirl, she was still out cold. Cell must have knocked her a good one when she attacked him.
"Well, you could change back," Rally started, "You could have the entire planet if you side with me, and you could kill all you wanted without anyone saying otherwise..."
Oh no, she was not trying to convert him back to the way he used to be. I wasn't going to sit here in my mind doing nothing while she took over the entire cosmos! I started struggling against my internal bonds, but it was clearly no use. I would just have to watch as the end of many world's started.
To my surprise Cell just cast a glance my way and nodded once, the only thing was he was looking past me.
Cell charged a blast in a hand and turned toward Catgirl and held it out, like he was actually going to shoot her!
"You'll have to excuse me," He said now as he aimed the blast at Rally, "If I kindly refuse!"
He fired at her, but I didn't see if it connected or not. Something hit the back of my neck, and my entire world went black.
