Chapter 1

The black eyes stared at her through the window as she moved around in her small apartment complex. He had been watching her for a few weeks now. He had seen her at clubs laughing, dancing with each man that came up to her. This had become an obsession to him; he needed to stop this until it got out of hand. His hunger had gotten the best of him earlier before he came to her. The small woman whom he had fed on struggled for her life ….it satisfied him more than anything to know that he had the charms on the female victims before he killed them…he smiled to himself with a dazed look spread across his face.

Soon he would find her and take her with him back to the dark side. He could just taste the fresh blood pouring into his mouth when he thought about her. This would be a great chance now to just go in there and make her join him…. No that wouldn't be right…she might never trust him if he were to do that…. he would have to meet her somewhere before that happened. Yes that would be better, just meet her tomorrow night… somewhere … yes that was it; he would meet her then.

"Till tomorrow… My dark princess…" He whispered into the night as he jumped to the ground and flew off.

She looked around the room and felt a cold breeze flowing through the open window as she took off her reading glasses and put them back in her case. "I really need my rest… I have been up too long." She was exhausted from the night before. She had been out drinking and dancing with her friends. It was her 21st birthday… her friends had wanted to take her out to bars to celebrate her coming of age, the age on which she was finally able to legally drink. She just loved her best friends Chichi and 18, they were great to her. But still, something wasn't right. That night in the bar, she felt as if someone was watching her, but she couldn't figure it out. It freaked her out just thinking about it.

While she was in her moment of thought she didn't notice that her cat Snickers was coming up behind her. The cat immediately jumped on her lap and scared Bulma half to death. "God, I am so mad at you… quit doing that or I am going to give you to those dogs down the street!" She scolded the cat. Suddenly, the cat's fur spiked straight up and he started hissing loudly at the open window.

"What is Snick" her brow scrunched as she looked at the window. "Well whatever it was I think we need to get to bed… what do you think?" Bulma asked the cat as it still hissed while she walked over to her bedroom.

Bulma turned on the overhead ceiling fan and walked quietly over to her French windows and closed them, not remembering to lock the doors. She walked to her adjoining bathroom and washed her face clean of the perspiration that had built up from her concentration on her project, which was due next week. She grabbed around for a towel but stopped when she thought she heard something. She listened closely but didn't hear anything after that.

She wiped her face and looked in the mirror. As she stared at her reflection, she noticed that her window was now open again. She gasped in surprise, and went over to check it. She looked around a few times, before closing the window. She moved to turn off her light and went to bed to get a good night's rest.

In the closet, a pair of black eyes watched her soft movements as she slept. When Vegeta (knew) she was asleep, he moved out of his hiding place and walked closer to the bed. `Maybe I could have just a little snack.' He thought as he drew near her. He placed his hands on either side of her body and bent down to take in her scent. She smelled wonderful… of all the women and women vampires; he had never smelled anything so fresh. She turned her head to the side as he waved his hand over her face; his moving her head so he had free range of her neck.

He bent down and shot his tongue out to caress her jugular vein that was pulsing with each beat of her heart. He retracted his fangs and bit down on her neck.

Bulma's eyes snapped open in shock as she grabbed the creature that was biting her. She felt the blood rush to her eyes and her fingers were getting numb. Then he pulled back, the blood was dripping from his mouth. She couldn't make out a face, so she spoke instead. "Who are you?" her voice was very shaky because of her blood loss, but it wasn't enough to kill her.

"Sleep my dark princess, until another time." He answered her and jumped out the window.

Bulma passed out and didn't wake till morning.

Bulma woke to the sound of her alarm going off. She gasped and grasped the bite mark on her neck. She scurried over to the bathroom. "Goodness! Maybe it wasn't a dream." She said to her self. Now that she was thinking about it, it made her more scared to think that it had been a vampire, which she thought could never be true. She hurried with her shower and got dressed and quickly went to work in her office.

She got into her car and drove two blocks down the road to get to her work. As she got out of her car she pulled out her compact mirror and looked at the bite mark that that…that thing had given her. She went to her desk and started to fill out some papers that she missed the last time she was in the office.

A little while after she had sat herself down behind her desk, Chichi entered her room. "Hey Bulma!" She said as she excitedly walked in on her friend.

"Oh, hey Chi what are you up to?" She said, still going through all her papers.

"Nothing much. I am just waiting for Goku to call me … he hasn't called me since last night." She said while resting her head against her hand.

Bulma rolled her eyes "Well Chi I bet he is just lost in his refrigerator …I mean that guy eats a ton."

"Yea I guess… well I really think he is the one for me Bulma … and I am serious." She looked dazed as she told her this.

"Chi," Bulma said with a little hesitation, "Have you ever seen… a creature of the night?" She looked unsure.

"No… I am not sure what you mean by `creature of the night'." She said to her friend with a giggle.

"No Chichi I am serious … last night I was sleeping and this guy… well, creature bit me…in my neck." She said the last part quietly, not wanting to disturb the people outside the room.

"What?" Chichi said as she got up and closed the door behind her. She then walked up to Bulma and looked at her neck. "Oh my god Bulma…wait a minute weren't you with Yamcha last weekend?"

"No! Are you crazy! I wouldn't do anything with that freak." She rolled her eyes and just shrugged it off. "You know this really isn't a good idea…-" She was interrupted by Chichi's voice.

"Bulma hun, all you need is a little rest…all right?" She said and softly patted her friend's back.

"I think you are right… I have not been getting enough sleep lately." She nodded and said good bye to her friend before getting back to work.

When the bright sun set in the west, the creatures in the cemetery started to stir awake inside their coffins. The place the entire vampire in West City lived in, was in an underground tunnel which no mortal knew about. Vegeta pushed the lid off his coffin which housed him and two other female vampires, as they cuddled together. Vegeta yawned at his brides as his thoughts still washed back to the blue haired beauty, which he would soon take as his prize. Still, he did love to be with both Nora and Rosalie. They were his everything, but he knew he needed one more bride. And since his last beauty died 300 years ago, by the hands of a hunter, he still felt lonely.

"Get up…we need to feed." He smiled at Nora and ran his tongue over her lips as he looked her naked body up and down. He just wanted to lay there and feel their hands on him, but he kept thinking of blue. What was she doing to him?

"Nora… Rosalie…stop this or we will never be able to get up." He told them.

"Please just a couple more hours…I want to be with you…" Rosalie pouted as she bit his lip, drawing blood.

"No I am hungry, and if you want to see the surprise I am going to bring you later tonight, then I suggest you get up.

"Awww …do we have to `Veggie'?" They both said at the same time.

Vegeta just laughed and hugged them before putting on his clothes, which were lost because of last night's activities.

"Let's go … we need our strength." He hissed and walked down the hall with his wives on either side of him.

`Tonight my little princess…tonight…' He thought to himself.
