VEJITASEI
Eternally serene, the moon ruled over star-strewn vaults of cloudless sable night, like a round shield of flecked amber, casting pale light on the earth below. Vagrant breezes from the distant sea drifted idly through Vejitasei's southwest margins, cooling the heavy warmth a bright summer day had left in its wake. The moon was a curse to those Saiyans who still were not able to control the changes into the ape Oozaru. One of the giant apes could easily destroy the whole of Vegjitasei. Insects chirped in the undergrowth, small nocturnal animals scurried, birds flutterted from tree to tree. Hanging vines entangled their nooses around the large trunks of the bushy Vejitasei trees. The whole planet was almost devoid of flowers, saving those that blossomed near the royal palace of King Vegeta.
A figure stood on the edge of a cliff that was situated over the rolling seas beneath. The grass blew against her unprotected legs, her feet curled into the lush carpet. Golden hair, much like the color of the moon, played around her waist. She titled her head to gaze at the moon, her sapphire orbs were closed, the thick lashes skimming her cheekbones. Her slender body was clothed only in the customary night clothes of the Saiyan Princess; a long white shirt clung to her frame, a furry, light brown tail protruded from her shorts. Her eyes opened as she took in a deep breath of the air around her. Vejitasei was beautiful, even if the inhabitants were blood-thirsty murderers. The view from outside of the royal palace was magnificent and she favored she could see the distant continent's mountains. She sighed again but this one was full of despair. Things had taken a turn for the worse since the alien Freeza had sought his dominion over the Saiyans. She wasn't as blind as her foster father, King Vegeta, but she was too afraid to tell him her doubts. The sixteen year old princess had only one ally and that was the thirty six year old scientist Bardock.
A snap of a twig behind her made her turn around, hastily gathering her emotions as the tears spilled down her cheeks. It was too late. The other Saiyan had seen the drops. He despised feeling any type of emotions other than anger but somehow seeing the teenager cry sent pity through his tall, muscular body. His skin was tanned dark and it matched the off-cut spiky raven hair, the deep ebony eyes. The stocky tail was clung snuggly around his waist. "Rinoa-sama. Why are you out here? Vegeta Ouji is going to be pissed if he finds your violating your curfew," the deep voice of the twenty two year old was full of sarcasm.
Rinoa scowled darkly at the Saiyan but her heart wasn't in it. "I'm out here because I couldn't sleep. What about you Turles?" She wiped the tears on the back of her hand, thankful Turles had not said anything regarding the traitorous drops.
Turles had trouble diverting his attention from the smaller Saiyan's body. Oh hell. Why do I want that damn girl so much?! He untied his tail and snaked his hands to her shoulders, nuzzling the perfumed hair he had for so long wanted to touch but had never had the chance..not since she was the crown princess. To touch the princess was penalty of death. It didn't matter that she was not the real daughter of King Vegeta but he had adopted her as his own. Turles could feel the girl shudder underneath his hands. He didn't want to hurt her nor did he want to let this moment go. His tail wrapped around her waist, closing the space between their bodies. Turles ran a finger a long her neck to her collarbones. She shivered but this time from the chill wind that swept past them. Turles's body heat seeped through to her own and before she realized what she was doing, she had turned and was now holding him. Turles was a little surprised but he returned the embrace. He had never dreamt of being this close to his princess. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks, the soft song of birds, and the calm atmosphere lulled them. Rinoa's hands sought his and his clasped in unison. She couldn't describe what she was experiencing but that soon ended when she sensed another ki.
She hastily departed that strong proctection and blushed scarlet. "I can sense Nappa. Vegeta must have sent him to find me."
Turles nodded unsure of what had just transpired between him and the beautiful princess. He had thought he wanted to take her and have sex with her, that the emotions he was feeling were desire. He was content to just hold her in his arms, no intimate contact, not even a kiss had passed between them. He enjoyed having her body melded with his own. Turles's own cheeks blushed, giving his tanned complexion a boyish air. Turles walked beside his princess, his tail entertwined with hers. He wasn't even aware of that until they were forced to depart when both saw the burly Saiyan Nappa. Turles regarded the dim-witted Saiyan smartly, even if he was Vegeta's bodyguard.
"Rinoa-sama! The prince has been looking for you. Where were you and why are you with her Turles?"
Turles was about to respond but Rinoa delt him a glare. "I couldn't sleep so I was out on the cliff and Turles was with me because he grew worried and started to search for me. Next time, Nappa, tell Vegeta to bring himself after me." With that, Rinoa pulled Turles by his hand who smirked at the confused Nappa and inside the royal palace. The princess paused when her eyes met Vegeta's. The prince had a glowwer on his face that made the permanent scowl on his face even darker. His hair was ebony and the spikes flamed from his scalp. His eyes were ebony as well. He wasn't as muscular as Turles but he was well-toned and rather short. Rinoa flushed when she saw the object of Vegeta's glare. Her hand was still in Turles's. She quickly dropped it and smiled at the young man beside her. "Thank you for coming and getting me. Goodnight Turles," she spoke, kissing the bewildered Turles's cheek tremously. She gave him a small wink before turning to go down the long corridor that led to her room.
Vegeta's glare went knife-like. He grabbed Turles by his collar. "What did you do to her out there?"
"Nothing, Vegeta-sama. I couldn't sense her ki inside so I figured she went out and I saw her on the cliff and I brought her back."
"That better have been all that happened because if I find out you messed around with her in any way, I'll have you killed." Vegeta threatnened and turned on his heel towards his own room.
Turles sighed, rubbing the red marks Vegeta's hand had left behind. The damn prince was attracted to Rinoa and Turles knew he had no hope against the arrogant seventeen year old. Vegeta wasn't the only competition for her. His own twenty year old brother wanted her as well. None spoke of it around her but when she wasn't paying attention, the glares started. Rinoa was one of two Saiyan women living in the royal palace of nearly five hundred men. It was simple the reason King Vegeta had made the threat of killing any who touched the princess; her own protection. Turles chuckled. He would hate to see what would happen when the other men went into heat or her. Turles stretched his arms above his head and went into his chambers. He undressed and laid on the bed, wiggling around until he was comfortable. There weren't many Saiyan women left in the first place, maybe fifty out of a population of fifty thousand. Most Saiyan men mated with their own sex. It didn't bother the Saiyans if they were, as long as one dominated the others powers. When one Saiyan claimed his dominion over another, that Saiyan would then produce the children. Turles pulled the thin sheet over his nude body. He supposed he was lucky to have Rinoa; he wouldn't be mating with another male any time soon. First, he had to capture Rinoa's heart, then bond with her and finally mate with her. Turles groaned. This was not going to be as easy as it sounded. Just trying to talk to her without Raditz or Vegeta around was hard enough but trying to mate with her would be downright impossible. Turles turned on his side, his eyes closing as he was gently lulled by the wind.
