Chapter Seven: Plotting

Bulma patted her shoulder as she cried into her hands. The woman was nearly in a hysterical state, her whole body shaking with the force of her tears. She had been like this for the past half-hour, and Goku was just sitting next to her, trying to act as if his daughter-in-law's tears weren't affecting him. Bulma didn’t really know what to do herself besides let her cry until she got it all out of her system. She needed a good cry...she had been holding it in for too long.

"It isn't fair...he acted like he didn’t even care...and then he told me I had to go clean up the mess in the kitchen. He told me!! I can't believe he could be so cold...I nearly started crying again. I just ran out of the house and went straight to Goku's...I nearly knocked over Piccolo on my way. I had the feeling that Piccolo wanted to kill Gohan after that...especially after Goku told him about what was going on. I just don’t know what to do...I've tried everything...he doesn’t even want me anymore. If he did, then he wouldn’t have answered that stupid door. If this had happened when we were younger, he would have just ignored it...."

Bulma patted her shoulder some more as she started crying harder. She gave Goku a sympathetic look, and the older woman said, "Videl...don’t worry. Maybe we're going about this all wrong. But I don’t get how we could be...didn’t Gohan nearly attack you in the kitchen after he got home? You have to be doing something right at least...maybe we just need to take things up a notch."

Videl lifted her head, sniffing loudly as Bulma handed her a tissue. "I don’t see how we could take things up a 'notch'," Videl muttered, drying her face off and slouching in her chair.

Goku looked thoughtful. "Well, whenever you and Gohan were younger...wasn't he always gentle and he never did anything rough? Well...he seems to be acting uncharacteristically rough right now...maybe you need to get a little 'hard' back with him. He might not be able to control himself." He shrugged when Videl gave him an incredulous look. "You never know...."

Bulma agreed. "You guys need to somehow get away...not anywhere suspicious though...like it was an accident getting there. Either that or we get everyone away from your house in a hundred-mile radius. It's like everyone is going against you, Videl. Hey...I have an idea. You can come here and say you're visiting...Gohan would fall for that one. And then I can say something about this new room upstairs that I want to show you...you know, the one that has the Jacuzzi....Or we can have a little get-together party, and you can kinda...go off to that room and if Gohan notices you're gone, he'll probably go look for you...."

Videl wondered if Bulma was evil. The older woman had a wicked smile on her face, and she just looked...evil. That was the only word for it.

Videl nodded, smiling the first time since she had gotten there. "I hope this works, Bulma," was all she said, shaking the other woman's hand.

 *************

She sat there gnawing on her lip at the dinner table, absent-mindedly picking at her food. Gohan and Pan didn’t seem to notice of course, and for that she was grateful. She didn’t want stupid questions that she wouldn’t be able to answer truthfully.

She finished quickly, not in the mood to eat. She just dumped whatever was left on her plate in the garbage and put her plate in the sink, sitting back at the table to start writing something on a piece of paper. This seemed to get Gohan's attention, and he asked, "What are you writing?"

Videl looked up in surprise. Wow, look who's talking to me. "Um...I'm just helping Bulma with this little get-together party she's having. You're probably not going to be able to go so do you just want me to leave you off?" She hoped she sounded rude.

Gohan blinked, and then frowned. "No...I'll come. I haven't seen everyone for a long time. My work isn't everything, you know."

Videl felt completely shocked. Maybe he does care...just a little bit. Any other time he would have just shrugged and said alright...I'm too busy anyhow.

Gohan blinked again when Videl gave him an absolutely dazzling smile. He didn’t even realize he was staring at her until his daughter waved her hand in front of his face, saying, "Daddy? What are you staring at? And why is mom smiling like that? What's going on? Are you two plotting against me?"

Videl snapped out of her staring contest with her husband, grinning at her daughter. No, I'm plotting against your FATHER. "Don’t worry, Pan. I'm just helping Bulma get ready for a small party she's having tomorrow. She wanted me to help her, and I couldn’t refuse."

Pan frowned. Something was going on here...her father didn’t look at her mom like that...at least, not that she knew of. She just shrugged, asking to be excused so she could go over to her grandparents. Videl told her go right ahead and her daughter left, leaving her alone with Gohan. She felt odd being alone with him...and she started scribbling things down quickly, trying to keep her mind off the man sitting next to her.

Gohan left as well a few moments later, setting his empty plate in the sink and then walking away. She sighed with relief and depression at the same time, resting her head on her hand as she continued to write. She wished that—

She lifted her line of vision when she suddenly saw Gohan walk back into the kitchen without a shirt on and a pile of papers in his hand. He grinned when she stared at him in shock, and then set his work on the table. He started on what he would normally do on the computer at the kitchen table, next to his wife. She couldn’t get over that he was sitting next to her...and willingly.

"Um...Gohan?"

He lifted his head and gave her an inquiring look. "Yes?"

"Um...I was just wondering if the computer broke...or something."

He frowned. "Why would the computer be broken?" he asked, leaning forward. "Don’t you want me to sit here next to you?"

She shook her head hard. "No...I'm just um...surprised, I guess. I thought that you didn’t really...like working without the computer."

He was still frowning. "The computer just makes it easier, that’s all. I just wanted a change in atmosphere for once. I can leave if you want me to." He started to stand, and her hand shot out, grabbing his wrist before he left. "No...don’t leave. I-I want you to stay here."

He sat back down, his eyes on hers. "Are...are you ok, Videl? You've been acting...weird lately. I mean...." he trailed off, not knowing what to say. Her eyes looked so sad...filled with such longing....

Videl's eyes widened when he suddenly leaned forward, catching her lips with his and his hand going around her neck to hold her there. She clutched at his shoulders as he shoved the table in between them away almost brutally and grabbed her arms, picking her up out of her chair and bringing her hard against him. Her eyes were still wide with shock, and she abruptly felt herself being lifted up as Gohan stood, bringing her with him while he kicked his chair out of the way and sent it hurtling to the floor. She felt like she was practically being ravished as he pushed her roughly up against the kitchen wall, his hands leaving her arms to go to her shirt. She gasped into his mouth as he ripped it right down the center, and then just tore it the rest of the way off because it was in his way. She felt his fingers feverishly start tugging off her bra, shoving down the straps and then just pushing it down to her waist because he couldn’t get it off. She closed her eyes as he bent down, bringing one of her nipples into her mouth and sucking hard. Her back arched on its own accord when his hands ran down her sides and started working on her skirt, quickly finding the zipper and pulling it down. He was overwhelming her with how fast he was going, and she begged him breathlessly to stop for a moment. He raised his head, his eyes burning into hers with a passion she hadn't seen for so long. She felt her knees go weak immediately, but she forced herself to stand and swallowed with some difficulty, her fingers going to the top of his pants. She could hear harsh breathing all around her, and she realized it was both her and Gohan. She already felt the incredible heat building up inside her, and she had to wonder if it was because of how long she had been waiting for this. She was so anxious she could barely contain herself.

She suddenly moaned in disappointment when she felt his heat leave her, but not even a second later his arms went around her, picking her up. He ran out of the kitchen and to their room, kicking the door open and quickly closing it with his foot. He nearly threw her onto the bed and then followed after her, crawling over top of her and making quick work of her skirt and panties. He groaned in frustration when he had the same problem with his pants again, and just let her deal with them so he could pay attention to her. He had forgotten the taste of her skin and how every little thing or noise she made totally drove him insane, and he felt his control almost slip when she finally undid his pants and shoved them past his hips. She kept lifting herself up off the bed to feel his skin against hers, and the way her breasts were rubbing against his chest made him feel dangerously close to plummeting over the edge. She was continuously moaning...every touch or scrape of his mouth or skin against her made her feel ready to explode. But for some reason what she wanted so bad refused to come, and she growled with lack of fulfillment as Gohan kicked off his pants and boxers, flinging them across the room.

She immediately wrapped her legs around him, almost making him fall on her as she pulled him closer to her body. They laid there for a few moments, relishing in the feeling of their bodies molded against each other, their chests heaving against one another.

"Videl."

She opened her eyes, not even realizing until then that they had been closed. He was staring down at her, an unreadable expression on his dark face. "Y-yes?"

She felt him positioning himself, and he looked like he was trying to say something, but he couldn’t get it out. Videl gave him a confused look right before he just gave up and closed his eyes, his hands gripping roughly onto her thighs as he thrust into her. She felt her eyes widen as all the muscles in her body tensed, her back bowing off the bed and her fingernails digging into his broad shoulders. He was too oblivious with his own pleasure to barely even notice her writhing beneath him, moaning and crying out as he moved inside her. It felt so good that he couldn’t even stop if someone had shouted fire or even if his daughter walked in out of nowhere. She would just have to live with the traumatizing experience and learn to deal with it as Videl had learned to deal with the lack of physical fulfillment.

He brought her to a climax three times before he finally let himself go. He collapsed on top of her, breathing heavily along with the woman beneath him. Her eyes were closed, her lips slightly parted and bruised-looking.

"Videl?"

Her startling eyes opened, such a deep and endless blue that he almost couldn’t help but stare. He hadn't seen her eyes like that for so long....

"Y-yes, Gohan?" she whispered.

"Did I hurt you?" he asked softly, as if this had been their first time all over again. She shook her head, wrapping her weak arms around him to hold him there when he tried to move. He chuckled lightly and flipped them over so Videl wouldn’t have to take all of his weight and so they could still be close. She snuggled into his chest and sighed, closing her eyes again. She wanted to say something else, but she was just too tired to talk, and let sleep claim her. Haunting dreams came to her about Gohan acting just like he had before again, now that she had gotten what she wanted. But she didn’t let the dreams sway her from her course of making Gohan want her again. She was too determined, and nothing would stop her.
