Wait and Bleed.

~ I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time
Everything is 3D blasphemy
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up
This is not the way I pictured me
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here?
Something about this, so very wrong...
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this
Is it a dream or a memory?~

Chapter Two: Alone I break.

Stone.

Cold blankets formed of hard icy limestone. "It's come for you.." Whispers.. chipping away at his cold.. cold.. mind.

"Come…come… come with us.. It's soooooo lonely with out you Little Prince.."

Blankets tying up in knots, hot, boiling skin brushing against silk.

Claws sinking into his mind, no.. his skin.. wasn't it? Thrashing, screaming, cursing, fighting. Restrained, the chains rattle. Their embrace cutting into his soul. He struggled and twisted, trying to escape. "NO! Fuck you!" He screamed, his back straining away from the chains, pulling to escape.

"No escape little Vegeta.." An icy tongue licked over his shoulders, he cried out and wiggled away. Too real! Too damn like the past!

"No escape.. we're coming for you Little Prince…"

With a gasp he sat bolt up right on his large bed. The sheets all twisted about him like a candy wrapper. He flexed and they tore loose from him. He rolled and fell to the floor, curling slightly around his shadow. Panting, he stood on shaky legs. These dreams were driving him ragged. Constantly they assaulted his mind and sanity.

Essentially they were bits of his past, melting together into a crazed picture show from his sub-conscious.

He fell back against the sheets, now cold from their sudden exposure. His dark skin smoothed out over the bed spread-eagled. Alone. No one else to claim his solitude. Vegeta suddenly felt like laughing. Surely this was vengeance.

Death's Vengeance.

"I escaped you once too often hn..?" He whispered to the shades. "So you take her instead.." He glowered up at the offending ceiling. How dare it feel nothing. He should be the one feeling nothing. What happened to his careful, painless walls. The ones he had build about him self to protect, harbour his weaknesses. His emotions, which had once been burnt away had regrown with the touch of that woman.

That woman.. Bulma.. but..

But was it her?

Was it her that made him like this..

Had it been her touch or his wanting of another?

And if that was so… who was that other..

Kakarott……. Spoke the shades. Vegeta flipped to his feet with a snarl. "Shut up!" He roared to the dark room.

"I'll listen to your undead nonsense no more!" He hissed and swiped at the green face of Zarbon that lingered near the window. They laughed at him.

He screamed with rage and the fiery blaze of the golden Super Saiyan aura circled his body. He tackled Zarbon to the floor, snarling and pummelling him with his fists. "I'll kill you!" He roared, tearing at the shocked reptilian's face.

"Vegeta!" Came the cry of a familiar voice and thick warm arms surrounded the Prince. They pulled him away from the shredded bloody mess of Zarbon and Vegeta snarled, twisting about to fight what ever took him away from his battle.

"Damn it Vegeta!" Kakarot slapped him over the face and shook him. Vegeta blinked angrily to find him self looking up into the face of his nemesis.

"Kakarott!" He narrowed his eyes darkly and seethed through gritted teeth. "Let me the fuck go!" He ripped him self out of those creamy soft arm and scrambled away. He darted his eyes about, taking in his situation like the trained fighter he was.

He was in his room.

There was his bed, the mattress ripped to shreds and foam flecked all over the floor like fallen clouds. The sheet was still wrapped about him like a albino python. And Kakarott stood there staring at him dressed only in his orange gi pants. Vegeta hissed, "What in Hell are you doing in my room!" He thundered, steadying his shaking hands by clenching them into fists.

Kakarott's dark eyes widened and he flicked his gaze away nervously, his left hand creeping to the back of his head. "Well.. uh… I suppose…" He bit his lip.

"Well spit it out then! Or fuck off!" Barked the Prince as his crossed his arms over his chest. He now felt in control of this bizarre situation, where only moments ago he had been gnawing at the disembowelled pillow on the floor.

Kakarott's gaze flicked from Vegeta to the pillow and back to him again. "Well, I heard you.. um.. shouting in your sleep.. I was…uhnn.. concerned.." He mumbled.

The full glare of Vegeta hit him square between the eyes and he winced, taking a silent step back.

Rage rolled through Vegeta like a tropical storm. He gritted his teeth and snarled wordlessly. "And WHAT makes you think, in that puny brain of yours, that you can barge in here and disturb my peace!?"

Kakarott's brow twitched. Disturb his peace? Is he for real?! I found him savaging his pillow for Kami's sake! He swiped his hand back through his hair in a nervous gesture. "Your right Vegeta… you were just having a nightmare and… I should have just left you to .. um.. your pillow." With that he quickly backed out the door.

Vegeta's brow narrowed. "Are you patronising me Kakarott?!" He growled as the tall Saiyan vanished down the hall.

Vegeta stood there in silence for several minutes. His black eyes slowly moved to survey the mauled room with sceptical eyes. What? What happened here… He took a shaky breath, remembering the fading dream of Zarbon grabbing at him, and he.. he… Vegeta looked over at the pillow, its cream feathered interior spilt out over the navy carpet looking for all the world like a cat had gone crazy on a dead chicken.

He had attacked Zarbon. That vain green haired bastard who had been mocking him from the shadows. But.. it was the pillow.. He gave a grunt of confusion and raked his hand back through his ebon spikes, pulling out a fluffy feather with a snort of disgust. Fantastic. He had looked like a crazy loon in front of that lobotomised baka. Gods, what had driven the man to invade his privacy like that? He had said Vegeta had been shouting.

Well he remembered screaming in hate at Zarbon before he ripped into his face. But.. it had been just a dream, Zarbon had not been real. He blinked in confusion. But what about those other apparitions? All of them dreams?

"Dreams, Vegeta? Surely I would be your greatest nightmare at least.."

Vegeta snarled in shock and twisted about, grabbing at the white sheets that slipped from his torso. Laying coy-like over his ripped up bed, the white demon flicked his tail out to curl about Vegeta's ankle, his red lips pouting slightly, his angled eyes narrowed in amusement. Vegeta stared, feeling his skin prickle and his hackles rise as cold leached through the snowy appendage stroking his right foot and sunk into his skin, gnawing with icy teeth at his energy.

"Gah! What are you?! I won't believe you are Frieza!" He kicked the tail away and tightened the sheets about him as he slowly edged toward the door. "Frieza is dead!" Frieza smirked and rolled onto his back, lifting one taloned hand up to admire his black claws.

"You know Vegeta, your denial is most amusing.." He purred and picked up a random feather to twist between his fingers. "I am Frieza, and you know it." He smirked. "In fact you know it with every atom in your lithe little body." The white beast stretched and propped him self up on a remaining pillow.

Vegeta blinked. This couldn't possibly be Frieza! He was dead! DEAD! "You are dead! I saw you die with my own eyes! And then after in Hell!" He spat. This couldn't be real. It was another delusion. Just.. a figment.. brought on.. by Bulma's death.

Frieza nodded. "Quite right Monkey Prince. Your lover's timely death gave us the power to move. Soon we will be strong enough to take back what.. we lost so many years ago." He purred, his smug grin rode up Vegeta's spine.

"What are you talking about?!" Vegeta growled. He had to find away to shake him self of this delusion. He felt his power slowly building up as his rage began to seethe. This creature claimed to be the very monster that had haunted him every day of his life! The very beast that.. damn he looked real enough.. Could it really be Frieza? No that was madness! Then why was he seeing Frieza displaying himself on his bed?!

I'm loosing my mind! He decided and walked calmly over to his wardrobe, opening the two white doors and picking out a clean training suit. That is the only logical reason I am seeing that bastard on my bed.. my memories are bringing phantoms to my sight.. I've seen him like that in the past.. taunting me before.. He froze, staring at the uniform in his arms. Before he

He watched as the royal blue clothing slipped through his fingers to grace the floor in a shabby heap. His head turned to the side slightly, seeing Frieza smirking at his backside with his peripheral vision. Slowly he turned around, his eyes colder than the depths of space. "Well.." he said calmly. "If you are Frieza.." he smirked, his eyes narrowing devilishly. "Then I suppose I should use this opportunity to do what I have wanted to do to you for thirty years.." His chipped voice caught Frieza's attention, and his cold eyes narrowed.

"Oh? And what is that my dear monkey?" He said scornfully, his fingers clawing into the torn under sheet as he slid back onto his stomach like a demented neko. His tail flicked about carnally.

Vegeta smiled darkly and said with a dead voice. "To kill you." His aura rippled and flashed about him in brazen gold as his coal black spikes streaked through with gold. His icy eyes, tinted and tealed, glared at the white beast with thoughts of utter destruction. Vegeta quickly knotted the sheet, to ensure his dignity, then charged Frieza without hesitation.

Frieza flipped up from the bed, to hover in the air in front of the maddened Prince with a diabolical grin plastered on his bone white face. Vegeta's right fist swung and the white beast did not move, his little red pupils focused on Vegeta's furious face.

The fist passed through Frieza's body like it was made of cloud. And the forward momentum caused Vegeta to gasp and trip. He was quick to recover, slamming his palms into the bed and flipping over to land on the mattress with his agile feet. Grunting he twisted about, expecting a swift counter attack, simply to find the room empty.

"Frieza!" He roared, leaping from the bed and tearing the door to his ensuet off. "FRIEZA!" He smashed his fist through the tilled wall and screamed in frustration. "BASTARD! I'll kill you! I'll find you! You can't run from me!" He ran back into his room and started to rip apart his wardrobe.

"I know you're in here Frieza!"

Kakarott came to a halt out side Vegeta's door, hearing the yelling and smashing of furniture. He threw aside discretion for the second time and moved his hand to twist the bronze knob.

Vegeta tore the bedroom door off its hinges and shoved passed the distressed Kakarott. "Vegeta?" He yelped as he tripped over and fell on his ass.

"Damn you Frieza! I know you're here!" Vegeta raged, his golden aura gushed outward, making the hallway walls groan with the pressure of his Ki.

Kakarott stared, "Fuck.. he's lost his mind.." He muttered jumping to his feet to follow the raving Prince as he flashed down the hall and stairs with only his sheet, leaving a trail of scorched wallpaper in his wake.

"FRIEZA!!!" Vegeta screamed as he tore through every room in his path before shattering the front door and landing in the middle of Mrs Briefs roses. The multi-coloured petals were ruffled by the great golden Ki of the Prince, sending a shower of roses to flutter about his feet. He turned sharply to face his house, a maddened gleam in his eyes. "Very well.. if you want to run.. I will make sure there is NOWHERE for you to hide!" With that he levelled his left palm at Capsule Corps.

"VEGETA!" cried Kakarott as he shuddered to a stop in the broken doorway. His eyes went wide at the sight of the Prince charging a Ki blast directly at him and the white domed building. "What are you doing!" He stressed, gathering his aura and transforming with a golden flash.

Vegeta snarled, his eyes narrowing as they focused on Kakarott. "Get out of my way fool! Frieza is in there! I'm going to decimate this place and give him no where to hide from me!" The globe of white pulsated on the apex of his hand as he glared at Kakarott.

The younger Saiyans eye widened dramatically. "What are you talking about Vegeta! I can't sense his Ki anywhere. There is no Frieza!" He walked slowly and cautiously towards Vegeta, preparing to block the on coming blast from destroying the house.

"You don't understand Kakarott! Fuck off!"

Kakarott gritted his teeth. "I don't understand?" he smiled bitterly. "I understand more than you would believe." His gaze flickered back to the Capsule Corps building. "It's that dream you had, isn't it…" He looked back at Vegeta, his eyes showing his determination to discover Vegeta's distress. He wasn't sure about this whole `Frieza' thing, but Kakarott did understand grief. He knew it lead to desperate acts, and seeing the Prince now…

"Look, when Bulma died, we all mourned.." He began. But Vegeta made a swift slicing motion of his hand.

"Clown! This is not about the onna! This is about things long before!" His eyes narrowed to pin points. "Frieza said… he said they used her death.. to bring them closer to life.. HE IS IN THERE! I will kill him totally, extinguish his soul once and for all!"

Kakarott blinked, what was this? Now the Prince was raving like a mad man. He expects me to just leave when he's.. raving like this?! He paused thinking about what he had just said. Bulma's death… bringing them closer to… life?! Is this even possible? Kakarott's face leached of colour. Oh Gods! His eyes grasped Vegeta's. "I believe you.." he breathed.

Vegeta snickered, "Of course you do…" he gave a short laugh. "I don't even know if I believe my own eyes… Frieza… Zarbon and that great pink ball of filth… there so I can see them!" He snarled and clenched his fists in rage, the Ki ball vanishing. "I don't know weather I'm going mad or if I am seeing spectres! But I know that was true.. he was there in my room. That bastard! If what he said was true…" A demented grin crawled across his face. "Then I will relish his return.. so I can send him back to the pit he crawled from!"

Kakarott stared at him. This was madness. He believed Vegeta.. but.. he wanted to help him, and if these `ghosts' got a hold on Vegeta's life then it would only end quickly in bitterness and grief. He had up to this point seen very few signs of grief in Vegeta from Bulma's death. Kakarott wondered if in fact he was spiralling so far into his grief… if perhaps Vegeta was on the edge of suicide. His eyes went wide… no, no way! Vegeta was not going to do that! He would do all he could to stop that from happening.

Vegeta stared at him, his aura pulsating in golden throbs. His thoughts were calming, if any thing that baka Kakarott had made him stop and think. Yes, he would relish the moment if he ever got the chance to slaughter the demon of his past, but he knew Frieza was definitely dead. But what ever that creature was that was in his room, he had to destroy it. Frieza… why did he have to haunt him now…

Vegeta stared at Kakarott. If he just spoke to him… perhaps… "Isn't he divine… So utterly Saiyan…" Vegeta blinked and looked behind him. To his utter shock he saw Raditz leaning against the fence. He was in the uniform he last saw him in before he travelled to Earth to be murdered. Of course with a little more finesse he may have succeeded in gaining Kakarott's trust. Raditz was forever head strong and stubborn. Raditz wasn't looking at him, he was trying to fix his scouter with the art of banging it against his palm. He growled and then tossed the device away to clatter over the road.

"Raditz…" He whispered.

Kakarott narrowed his eyes and followed Vegeta's gaze. "Oh my Kami…" he gasped when he saw his brother leaning against the white picket fence which protected Capsule Corps from the out side world

The large Saiyan smirked and leered at Vegeta. "That sheet does wonders for your appearance, my Prince."

Vegeta said nothing and just stared, his eyes darkening. "How is it that you are here Raditz?" He said quietly.

Raditz tilted his head in their direction, the great black bush of his hair ruffling slightly as he pushed him self up and walked towards them with a mocking grin. "How do you think Vegeta? The same way those others have…"

"Bulma's death?!" Vegeta gasped, his teal eyes widening. "Frieza was telling the truth?" He rasped.

Raditz frowned. "In a way…" Anger flashed in his black eyes for a moment, his tail unravelled from his waist to curl against his knee. "That blue haired ningen onna you took for a mate, her life energy was taken by the great demon Dargula in Hell. He then gave it to Frieza. He's using the death's Dargula can take to bring himself back to life." Raditz stopped in front of Vegeta, his eyes turned to his brother. He smiled wryly. "Brother, nice to see you in good health." He smirked, his hand drifting to the large hole in his abdominal amour where only bare tanned skin was visible instead of the white plating.

Kakarott nodded dumbly. He couldn't believe he was seeing Raditz! He was speechless.

Vegeta spoke for him instead. "So, are you going to answer my question?" he growled. All these phantoms were driving him out of his mind.

Raditz laughed, it was deep and pleasant. "Frieza was careless. He gave Zarbon and Dodoria some of this energy from the dead ones. Too bad Dodoria is a moron, and I am stronger than I use to be. I would have to be above Elite status by now." He said with pride, his tail puffed with pleasure. "His head made lovely music when beaten against the stone floor of Hell." He grinned widely, sharp Saiyan fangs obvious. "I stole his life energy on top of the Ki he received from Frieza."

Vegeta's golden aura ebbed away and his darkness returned. He consciously pulled the sheet tighter around his waist. "So… did Frieza make a bargain with this demon?"

Raditz nodded. "He must have, usually Dargula only takes the souls of those already dead in Hell. Frieza must have made some deal with him. Sadly I have no idea what that might be."

Vegeta was silent, his eyes down cast.

Kakarott stared at his brother. As soon as he heard that this demon creature had been taking soul Ki and giving it to Frieza it had brought terror to his mind. But the thing he wanted to know was, for how long had this been happening?! And precisely, who… were the unfortunate that lost their souls.

"Raditz…" he said slowly, finding it difficult to talk to a man who was not only his brother but also a man whom he had helped murder.

Raditz looked to him, his eyes wrinkled slightly in mirth. "What is it little brother?" he said calmly.

"Who… I mean… what souls has this demon taken?"

Raditz sighed slightly. "Look, I don't care about names, I never took any notice.."

"Well, descriptions?"

Raditz nodded. "Now that I can help you with. So far about one hundred souls have been taken by Dargula. Vegeta's onna being the most recent." He paused. "Oh… yes I took notice when I saw he took your onna Kakarott." His smirk became darker. "She was one of the first, since she was rather close to death anyway. Stress had worn her close."

"What?!" Kakarott walked up to stand next to Vegeta, his eyes focused on Raditz. "He took her as well?" Raditz nodded. Kakarott frowned and looked away. It was not that she was dead… anymore… that disturbed him, it was that her soul and that of a hundred more were taken to bring Frieza back to life. His eyes hardened and jabbed back at his brother. "And you used their energy too! You're just as bad as they are!" He growled.

Raditz snorted. "What? You would rather you knew nothing about this situation? You would rather the thought that Vegeta was going insane? You would rather that there were three ugly bastards haunting about?" Raditz snickered. "Don't you think I did what I thought was necessary to help my Prince?"

Kakarott laughed. "No, I think you did it for your self. You don't want to be in Hell any more than they do…"

Raditz crossed his arms with a smirk. "Think what you like. You know now. And I'm not planning on going any where." He looked about with an appraising eye. "Not as good as Planet Vegeta but it will do…"

Vegeta hissed and looked up at Raditz. "So, you will stay?" He said, his voice chipped and restrained.

Raditz nodded. "Yes, I am more alive than Frieza and Zarbon. I have more regained Ki." He smirked. "I am very much alive, my Prince." He knelt and placed a fist over his chest. "I take up my vows again, as your guard. To protect you my Prince, with my own life." He looked up with a smirk. "Not that it's all that necessary. You are after all the Legendary Super Saiyan." He smiled with real pleasure at that thought.

Kakarott glared at Raditz distrustfully. "I don't know if we can trust him Vegeta." He growled.

Raditz stood and beamed at his brother. "Ah, I am glad to see you are so loyal to our Prince, Kakarott."

Kakarott blinked in surprise, his cheeks reddening. "Well.. I ..uh.." he flicked his eyes away.

Vegeta narrowed his eyes and looked between the two. He growled and then snarled out, "So now what do we do?! How do I counter this insanity!"

Raditz's gaze lingered on his blushing brother, he nodded at him slightly before turning to his Prince.

"For now, my Ouji, we wait."
