Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Yajirobe's first words ❯ One-Shot

[ A - All Readers ]

Many fans of DBZ really don't know the past about Yajirobe, mostly because his past has been relatively unknown. Until now, that is... through the miracles of modern technology we were able to uncover some aspects of Yajirobe's past.

Note the last name of "Kugama" is a made-up last name for Yajirobe and his family.

It was a relatively quiet night at the Kugama residence, not a

sound to be heard-- well except for the occasional loud snore or two, but that silence was broken by a loud scream followed by a long series of cries that went on and on and on. The mother, Kasumi Kugama, woke up and immediately went into the bedroom where that sound was coming from. That sound was the sound of a young baby by the name of Yajirobe. Kasumi took little Yajirobe in her arms and carried him near the kitchen. Kasumi couldn't figure out what was wrong, she tried checking his diaper, but nothing was wrong. She tried cradling him to sleep but yet that didn't work either. Something had to work in order to get him back to sleep.

Then while Kasumi was walking into the kitchen and near the refrigerator, little Yajirobe suddenly stopped crying after he eyed the refrigerator and upon looking at it, he quietly muttered "f..f.f..f.foooood". Then a second later, he said the same word, only much louder than the last time. Overcome with both confusion and surprise, Kasumi immediately woke up her husband Akira and said, "Honey, I think Yajirobe said his first word... h-he said FOOD." Akira said, not believing her, "You have got to be kidding." She then quickly replied, "Yes, honey, it's true! He said the word food right when I carried him into the kitchen." "You can't be serious, honey. No baby his age would ever say a thing like that. Geez. Food. Next thing you know he'll say chicken or fish. Sheesh, I'm going back to sleep now", Akira said with an aloof look on his face.

Yajirobe was getting restless. He kept shouting, "FOOD! WANT FOOD! WANT FOOD!" but as soon as he was carried away from the kitchen, he started to cry and scream very loudly. That crying stopped once he was brought back into the kitchen. Kasumi had to do something to stop her little baby from crying, so she had an idea. She opened the refrigerator door and took out a box of donuts she had bought the other day. She took a large, glazed donut of the box and Yajirobe snatched it out of her hands very quickly, and he began to immediately gnaw on it like a ravenous grizzly bear. Crumbs and donut pieces were flying all over the kitchen and some of it getting into Kasumi's hair.

Soon after little Yajirobe had his donut, he went back to sleep and was quietly carried to his room and placed back in his bassinet, with the remainder of the donut still in his hands. But Kasumi had to wonder about Yajirobe saying his very first word. Normally most babies his age would say such first words as "mama", "dada", or "ball". Heh, but not Yajirobe…
