SETSUNA'S SECRET
(Sailor Moon/El-Hazard Crossover)

<Note>this fic only takes into account the first El-Hazard OVA series.
I am
not using the second series or either television series for the basis
of this fic.

Chapter 1

In an apartment building in Crystal Tokyo a woman was walking to
the door of her home when she suddenly stumbled and almost fell. She
took a look in a mirror that she had in the room and noticed how she
looked. She nodded and left. It was time to tell Queen Serenity
something important.

Sitting in a room, in the palace, the queen of Crystal Tokyo sat
lost in thought, trying to deal with the burdens of being queen. her
reprieve was disturbed by a knocking at her door. Regally, she stood
up,
and prepared to meet her visitor.

"Come in," said Neo-queen Serenity

The door opened and in came a regal woman wearing a sailor suit
with a
black skirt and wielding a large staff. Serenity's eyes widened
momentarily
when she recognized Sailor Pluto. She wondered what disaster was
about to
occur. Queen Serenity's visitor looked at her and gave a tired smile,
guessing what was going through the queen's mind. Seeing an empty
chair
Sailor Pluto sat down and laid her staff across her thighs.

"Usagi, we need to talk," said Pluto wearily.

Hearing her preignaugural name caused Serenity to jump a bit and
wonder what was wrong with her friend.

"Sure Setsuna, but can't this wait until you get some sleep?"
Usagi replied.

"No, Usagi it can't. It is finally time you learned more about
my
past and about the final weapon you will receive. "

"Your past? I've always wanted to know about that, but why is it
so urgent?" Usagi asked.

"I'll get to that in a bit. You see Usagi I wasn't born in this
universe. I was born in another that was far more advanced in
technology
than this one is. A civil war had broken out in that universe and a
rush of
weapon construction began. The weapons progressed in their
sophistication
and durability. One day a person from this universe, Princesses Selene
of
Atlantis, came to my home world." Setsuna recited and then stopped
looking very
uncomfortable.

"Selene? Atlantis?" Usagi asked. "Is she. . . was she. . ?"

"Yes, Selene was your ancestor, one very powerful in magic.
Using her power and the technology of my world, she created all the
Sailor Senshi items including the Silver Crystal. . " Setsuna replied
and then continued with a heavy sigh, "She later told this to me, when
I had been born. While she was there she used a spell."


"The spell allowed her to see into the future, and she saw mass
devastation. The vision horrified her and she started concocting a
plan to
prevent it from happening. To this end she made the henshin rods, the
various weapons, the silver crystal, and she engineered the moon cat
species. While doing this, she took more looks into the future and saw
the
devastation was lightening bit by bit, but it never fully vanished.
She
took a look at one of the latest weapons that was made and then looked
into
the future, trying to see if using a variation on that weapon would
help.
The results were more than she could have hoped for. She used her
magic to
copy the design of the weapon and then she added her own little touches
to
it," Setsuna paused for a second, looking sad.

"Setsuna,..." asked Usagi rising from her chair to approach her
old
friend and laid a hand on Pluto's shoulder to try to comfort her.

"I'll be fine, Usagi. Selene built the weapon, brought it and
the
Senshi items back to this world and built the kingdom on the moon, and
sending others to build kingdoms on the other planets. She knew
Beryl would
destroy the Moon Kingdom, so the weapon was activated and given the
mission
to keep the Crystal Tokyo timeline intact until the arrival of the new
queen"

"Umm, Setsuna. You didn't tell me anything about yourself and
what
is your connection to this weapon?"

"I am the weapon Usagi," said a weary Sailor Pluto, "Selene
built me
to ensure this universe's future would be the correct one."

Usagi was shocked, "You're an android, Setsuna?"

"Yes, built by Selene when she arrived in my world." Setsuna
stood
with closed eyes and said, "I'm almost out of time and must tell you
all you
need to know. Could you please stand?"

Perplexed Usagi stood. She got even more perplexed when Setsuna
handed Usagi her staff.

"I apologize, Usagi," Setsuna said, "I'm going to have to turn my
back
to you."

Smiling sadly, Setsuna turned around and continued talking.

"Usagi, I know this is going to sound weird but please do what I
tell you without questions. My life depends on it. I'll answer your
questions after we get done. "

"Okay, Setsuna. What do want me to do? It is kind of difficult
talking to your back. "

"I know, but it has to be this way. All right now, first get a
hold of my staff so the sphere is pointing away from me. Now lift up
the
back of my skirt, remember no questions, there you'll find a small hole
at the small of my back; it should be hidden by the cloth that holds
the
skirt. Please insert the staff into the hole. "

Usagi looked very concerned about her friend, but did what she
was
told. She started to freak out when she saw the hole in Setsuna's
back,
but remembered that this was to help he friend. She inserted the staff
into her friend and with a sharp click it slid into place. When the
staff clicked into place Setsuna stiffened like a doll.

"Now what Setsuna?" Usagi asked looking very nervous.

"Use the other end to rotate the staff from left to right,"
Setsuna responded mechanically.

Usagi started turning the staff as asked. She heard a
ratcheting
sound coming from Setsuna, but did not notice the electrical flickering
surrounding her. She was also concerned since Setsuna was constantly
bringing her arms up and balling her fists, then thrusting her arms
straight down with fingers extended.

Usagi, trying to lighten the mood, quipped, "You know something I
fell like I'm winding up a toy soldier. "

Setsuna ground out mechanically, "Please Usagi no jokes....and
yes you are winding me up. Selene's last...order to me was to make
sure...that you would have control over me. I have a circuit in me
that.......prevents me from disobeying the...person who winds me up."


Usagi opened her mouth to speak but Setsuna held up a hand and
continued, "No, don't even bother...trying to cure me of
my....condition
Selene made....sure that I would always be around like this. "

Looking appalled, Usagi changed the subject, "By the way you
never
did tell me the name of your home," looking thoughtful for a minute she
asked, "You said the weapon was based on one of your world's weapons.
If you are the weapon Selene brought back, who were you based on?"

Usagi finished winding Setsuna up, the lightning that was
surrounding her faded. As soon as Usagi pulled the staff out, Setsuna
turned around to face her new master. Usagi returned the staff to her.
Setsuna looked at her master and talked in a normal voice.

"My world's name is El Hazard and my 'sister', I guess you would
call her, was named Ifurita. "

Later in the evening, Usagi was sitting down in a chair thinking
about what she had just learned about her friend. She thought about
what Setsuna had said and thought to herself, *You may have given up
Setsuna, but I haven't. I am going to try and find some way to free
you
from this enslavement your under. El-Hazard? Hmmm. I think that I
had better plan a trip to that world. *, tears started streaming down
her face, *Why? Why did you have to be enslaved to me Setsuna? Why?*

The door to the room opened. Usagi looked up and saw her
husband
Mamoru a. k. a. King Endymion come in. Mamoru saw that his wife was
disturbed by something and came over to talk to her.

"Usako? What's wrong?"

Usagi sniffed and tearfully said, "I just found out some stuff
about
Setsuna that's very unsettling. "

Mamoru looked intrigued and asked, "About Setsuna? What did she
tell you?"

Straightening up and wiping away the tears, Usagi responded, "It
turns out Setsuna is an android made in another dimension and that she
was programmed to be enslaved to me after a certain period of time. "

"WHAT??" Mamoru exclaimed stunned, "What are you going to do
about it Usako?"

"I'm going to do my best to free her. I'm going to have Ami
figure a way to get to Setsuna's home dimension. Then we are going to
go and find a way to remove that circuit that forces her to be
enslaved."

Mamoru looked thoughtful for a moment before he said, "Hmmm. We
have been thinking about stepping down and letting Chibi-usa take over
the kingdom. While you're away she could start seeing how it's like to
run the kingdom. "

"You're?. You mean you're not coming with me Mamoru?" Usagi
asked.

"No. I think it would be best if I remained behind secretly,
just
in case something goes wrong, that our daughter can't handle. I also
don't believe you should take all the Senshi with you. "

Looking on the problem as the queen, Usagi replied, "You're
right,
Mamo-chan. I'm still not going to let Setsuna stay in that condition
any longer than she has to. "

"Usako, let's go to bed now and worry about this tomorrow. We'll
inform the other Senshi about this tomorrow as well. Then, we can
decide on who should go and who stays. "

"I'm going. Setsuna came to me and since she is enslaved to me,
I'm responsible for her. I will do my best to help her," Usagi stated
firmly.

Her husband looked at her and thought, *I hope you do find a way
to free her, Usako. I just hope their is one. Even with this
information, we still know so little about Setsuna. *

Elsewhere, Setsuna sat feeling several emotions and thought to
herself, *I'm sorry I had to burden you like that Usagi-chan, but I had
no choice in the matter. I know that you are already thinking of a way
to free me. Thank you for being such a loving person that you would
not
hesitate to help me out. I still wonder why I was built like this and
why I saw given those orders, so long ago. The part of my mind that
holds the answers is locked from access. *

Standing up Setsuna, looked at her staff and wondered, *What
would
have I done differently if I had been free? I had better be ready for
tomorrow. Usagi-chan will be wanting to free me. Since I cannot
disobey her I will be going along. I wonder if you noticed the
lightning playing around you ,Usagi? That lightning acted as sort of a
recorder. It recorded your psychic vibrations and encoded them into
my
obedience circuit, making you my master. *

Looking sad for a moment Sailor Pluto stared in the direction
where she could feel her master's psychic emanations, *I wonder how our
friendship is going to change because of this, Usagi-chan?*

Chapter 2

As the sun came streaming through the windows, the queen of
Crystal Tokyo awoke. She thought about what happened last night and
hoped it was a dream, but new in her heart otherwise. Sereneity got
out
of bed and got dressed, noticing that her husband had already awoken.
Once she was finished dressing, Usagi took a deep breath and headed to
her throne room thinking about what she was about to do.

*Setsuna, I will find a way to free you. I hope the others are
prepared for this. *, Usagi thought to herself

In the throne room, all the Sailor Senshi, except for Pluto, were
waiting. King Endyimon had called them in, telling them that Queen
Serenity had an announcement to make. The Senshi were wondering what
the announcement would be. They passed off Sailor Pluto's absence as
standard for her. Looking around, Sailor Mars noticed that Chibi-usa
was looking a bit somber.

Sailor Mars thought, * I wonder what's with her. Well at least
she finally grew up after her powers were used. *

Feeling Rei's eyes upon her, Chibi-usa looked at her and gave a
sad smile. Rei's started to get worried; something was wrong. She
put her worries out of her mind when she saw her friend enter the
throne room. Queen Serenity looked around at the people in attendance.
Along with the Senshi were people form various walks of life. The
Queen
nodded and addressed her subjects.

"My friends, I will be stepping down from the throne for a little
while to allow your princess some practice at running the kingdom,"
holding up a hand, Serenity continued, "Something has come to my
attention that I must deal with. I ask that you help Princess Usagi,
while she is in charge of the kingdom. Thank you. Sailor Senshi, I
wish to speak to you in private in an hour. Daughter, I know that this
will be hard, but I do have confidence in you. "

Queen Serenity, got up from her throne and gestured for her
daughter to take her place. The pink haired princess uncertainly went
to the throne and with a nervous glance at her mother, sat down.
Serenity gave her daughter's shoulder a reassuring squeeze and then
left
the throne room. The Sailor Senshi were, to put it mildly, shocked.
They nodded to the princess before they left to get some answers from
their queen and friend. Walking down a rarely used road the seven
Senshi were having a conversation.

"Ami, what the blazes is going on?" Sailor Mars asked

Ami replied, "I don't know Rei. I am as much as in the dark as
the rest of you. Something must have happened last night. I can think
of no reason for this sudden announcement. We will find out more at
that meeting,"

The boyish faced Sailor Uranus spoke up, "Whatever is going on,
must be important. Why else would Endymion summon the Outers as well
as
the Inners? "

"You're right, Haruka," said Mercury frowning, "If Setsuna was
here, she might have thrown some light on this. "

Makoto said, "Ah, what the hell are we worrying for. Usagi
probably just needs a vacation from running Crystal Tokyo. She's just
wants us to take care of Chibi-usa while she Mamoru go try to have some
more children. "

"Makoto?" Rei interjected, "I really doubt that. If that was the
only reason, Chibi-usa would have only looked nervous not upset. Well
here we are. "

The seven girls waited at the shrine where the Inners used to
have
their meetings. Rei nodded to herself as she saw that her old home was
still intact. The girls did not have long to wait as Serenity, who was
in her Eternal Sailor Moon outfit, and Endymion came into the grounds
surrounding the shrine. Seeing that their friend was dressed in her
Senshi outfit, they wondered what was wrong. Before they could ask,
Sailor Moon addressed them.

"I'm sorry to have surprised you like that, but last night I was
told something that shocked me to the core. I told Mamo-chan what I
had
learned and he was also shocked. We came up with this plan as fast as
possible. I hope we thought of everything," Usagi said, trying to hold
back tears.

Minako asked, as she went over to comfort her friend, "What
shocked you, Usagi? Why do you have to handle this? Couldn't we do this
for you?"

Before Sailor Moon could say anything a voice rang out, "I think
I
can answer the questions for you. Ami if you would be so kind as to
get
out your visors and computer. "

Everyone whirled to face where the voice was coming from and saw
Sailor Pluto. Ami, after a quick glance at Usagi, nodded and pulled
her
computer out from subspace and activated her visor, complying with
Setsuna's request. Ami looked at Setsuna nervously as did the other
Senshi. Setsuna only smiled sadly and shook her head.

"Ami, I want you to use your visor to examine me. What you will
find will answer a lot of your questions," Setsuna instructed and then
thought, *I know I'm hurting you, Usagi; but I really had no choice in
the matter. *

"Al-l-l right, Setsuna?" Ami replied nervously while she
activated
her visor and computer.

Sailor Mercury used her visor to examine Setsuna. At first, she
thought there was something wrong with her visor. She soon realized
that what she was seeing was indeed true. Ami's computer started to
fall from her fingertips. Makoto snapped it up before it could hit the
ground. Looking at Ami's face and then at Setsuna, Makoto swallowed
heavily and spoke up.

"Ami, just what the fuck is going on here. I'm tired of getting
the run-around," Makoto ground out.

Speaking in a monotone voice, Ami answered, "Setsuna is a robot.
From my readings it appears that her source of power is some sort of
energized spring. Every so often she has to be wound up. The key to
wind her up is apparently the Garnet Orb Staff. To put it crudely,
Setsuna is a clockwork soldier. "

All the Senshi, except for Sailor Moon and Sailor Pluto, gasped
in
shock when they heard what Sailor Mercury said. They all looked at
Setsuna who gave a quick nod, letting them know that what Ami said was
true. Rei brought tapped her bottom lip with her finger and asked
Usagi a question.

Rei asked, "There's more isn't there? You would not step down for
a few days just for this, Usagi. "

Holding back her tears, Usagi replied, "You're right, Rei. There
is more. It turns out Setsuna has an obedience circuit in her. She
has to obey the person who winds her up. I didn't find out about that
until I was halfway done winding her up. I. . I. . I don't want one of
my friends turned into a slave. I want to free her. This is why, I'm
allowing Chibi-usa to take my place for awhile. Setsuna and I are
going
to head to the universe where she was built and try to find a way to
free her. Mamoru is going to pretend to leave, but stay behind to see
how our daughter does at ruling. "

"I thought you would be going with Usagi, no matter what," Minako
said while looking at Mamoru.

Mamoru shrugged and replied, "I want to go. More than anything I
want to go, but I have this feeling that I would only distract Usako in
this mission. "

Minako frowned and tried to think of some response.

Shaking her head, Michiru stated, "I can't believe you hid this
from us Setsuna. I take it this meeting is to decide who goes with the
two of you and who stays. "

"Yes, it is." Usagi said.

"I'm staying," Sailor Saturn said bluntly.

Usagi looked at Hotaru and asked, "Hotaru? Why?"

"Chibi-usa was my friend when I needed one the most. She is
going
to need me now. "

Sailor Moon just nodded.

"Well, we need to decide who's going to accompany you Usagi," Rei
stated.

"I think I'm going to have to go along. I'm the only one who
would have a chance at figuring out how to modify Setsuna," Ami said.

"Well that was a given," Makoto said and then asked, "Just how is
Usagi supposed to leave this dimension?"

Ami thought for a second and then started typing numbers and
figures into her computer. After a few minutes she nodded and looked
at
her friends expectant faces.

"There is a way. Using her powers, Usagi can open a gateway into
another world. Since Setsuna was built in the world we want to go to,
she can act as the compass for the gateway," picking up a stone, Ami
continued, "This rock will act as our compass back. There is a problem
though. Only five people can go through the gate. So far we have
Usagi, Setsuna, and myself. Only two more can journey with us. "

"Oh, that's just friggin great," Makoto swore, "just how do we
determine who the other two Senshi will be. "

Mamoru spoke up, "That's easy Makoto. The two strongest fighters
are going to accompany Usagi. That means you and Haruka will be the
other two members of the party. I'm sorry Michiru, Haruka, but I'm
concerned about Usagi's safety. I know splitting you up is painful,
but. . . "

Putting a hand on his shoulder to stop him talking, Michiru said,
"We understand, Mamoru. I agree that group of five stands the best
chance of dealing with whatever comes. Don't you agree Haruka?"

Looking at her king intently, Sailor Uranus said, "Yes. I agree
with you Michiru. " and then thought, *I understand just how much you
want to be with your wife on this mission, but put aside your feelings
for her safety. I can do no less. Even though, I don't want to be
separated from Michiru-chan I understand your reasoning. I will go. *

Usagi looked at the small group that she was a part of and spoke,
"Well now that we have our group ready to go, how do I get us to
Sestuna's home?"

Ami started giving a long technical explanation, but after seeing
Usagi's eyes glaze over, she simplified her explanation. Following
Ami's simplified instructions carefully Usagi summoned a sphere of
silver light, that engulfed the five Senshi. With a slight hum, the
sphere vanished from site, taking Sailor Moon's group with it.

In another dimension, the silvery sphere flickered into existence
and then faded, leaving the five Senshi behind. Looking around, the
five girls noticed that they were in a forest. Setsuna looked up
towards the sky and saw something that told her that they had made it.
The other four, seeing Sailor Pluto's study of the sky also looked up.
In the sky above them was a large metal sphere. The girls turned to
Setsuna with questioning expressions. Setsuna looked her friends
faces, and upon seeing Usagi's face, felt her obedience chip kick in.

Setsuna spoke, "That sphere up there is the Eye of God and this
is
the world I was made in. Welcome to El-Hazard. "

Chapter 3

Sailor Moon looked up towards the sky and examined the massive
floating sphere. She turned and addressed the green haired woman.

"You called that thing the Eye of God, Setsuna," Usagi
confusedly stated, "How did you know what it was? From your story you
weren't even switched on, until you were brought to our world. "

Setsuna looked startled when she heard Usagi's question. She
pondered on how she knew what that device was. Trying to remember,
Setsuna received several disjointed images, but nothing made sense.

Setsuna slowly stated, "I'm sorry, Usagi; but I have no idea on
how I know what that device is. The name and what it does just came to
me when I saw it. When I try to recall where I heard it before, all I
get is a bunch of jumbled images. "

"What sort of images? Maybe, if you told us they would make
sense," Ami asked

"I can't tell you. It's like a television picture that someone
has turned the vertical hold completely off," Setsuna explained and
seeing the confused faces, continued, "I am a robot, after all. It
would stand to reason, my visual memories are like television
pictures."

Ami looked at Setsuna strangely before replying, "I didn't
realize
that. Setsuna, I've been meaning to ask a few questions ever since I
found out about this. "

*I'm going to be forced to answer anyway if Usagi asks, so I
might as well answer them now. *, Setsuna thought before she replied,
"Ask away, Ami. "

"Why do you transform? From the readings I got, you wouldn't even
need the Senshi power," asked Sailor Mercury

"It conserves power. My transformation into civilian guise
reroutes some of my circuits. It allows me to work for a much longer
time without the need for being rewound. I could use my abilities in
non-Senshi form, but it would be incredibly draining on me," Sailor
Pluto replied.

"Since you're a machine, how did you get a starseed? "

"Uh. I. I am unable to remember. I used to know, but I have
forgotten," Setsuna stated, confusion evident in her
voice, "I just know I have one and that it's linked to my mainspring.
I
think that is one of the enhancements Selene made to me. "

Makoto blurted out, "Selene? Just who is Selene?"

Usagi decided to give her friend a break from the questions and
repeated the story that Setsuna told her. After hearing the story, the
three girls looked at Setsuna with pity, finally realizing that Setsuna
has never been free in her entire life. An awkward silence fell over
the group. Usagi realized something and addressed Setsuna.

"Setsuna, you told us that your civilian form conserves power. I
think it might be wise if you switched to non-Senshi form," Usagi
stated.

Nodding at that, Setsuna reversed her transformation. Usagi also
reversed her transformation, because she didn't want Setsuna to feel
like an outsider. Realizing why Usagi changed back, the other three
girls also switched to civilian guise. Setsuna felt a warmth coming
from her clockwork heart as she realized how much her friends were
trying to comfort her. The five girls looked around at the forest, and
Usagi spoke up.

"Well which way do we go Setsuna?" Usagi asked, "I hope we can
find some way to free you here. "

"I'm not sure Usagi. Remember, I wasn't activated until I was
brought to our universe. I was built here but I really don't know that
much about it," Setsuna replied.

Ami piped up, "Let's go see who's living under that Eye of God
thing. Surely, they must have the technology to do what we want. "

Haruka muttered under her breath, so the others couldn't hear,
"Even if they do, how are we supposed to get them to do as we ask?"

The girls started walking into the forest. A few minutes after
they had left a flying ship sailed over the clearing that they had
vacated, nor the purple form that had seen them appear. The form
vanished as soon as it saw the ship fly overhead.

In the kingdom of Roshtaria, Princess Rune Venus stared out the
window forlornly. She thought about how close she had come to marrying
one of the Phantom Tribe and shuddered. Looking up at the Eye of God,
she recalled the day when the last Demon God was banished from El
Hazard. She knew that she should feel happy that the Destroyer was
gone, but she didn't.

*Makoto, I wish you luck on finding a way to be rejoining with
Ifurita. *, Rune Venus thought, *If nothing else you deserve some
happiness for saving El Hazard from total destruction*

Rune looked down towards the courtyard, where she saw her sister
and Alielle have a quiet conversation. She didn't like the changes
that
had developed due to Fatora's kidnapping. Makoto had suggested that
Fatora needed to tell what happened to her, to someone she respected,
before she could recover. Rune at first didn't want to hear what
happened to her little sister, but she gave in. After telling Rune
what had happened, Fatora started to act more like her old self. Rune
smiled wistfully, until she heard a guard come into the room. She
turned from the window and faced the guard.

"Greetings. What is your report, Londs?', Rune asked

Londs looked nervous, as he spoke, "While we were coming back
from
a routine surveillance mission, we spotted this silver ball of light
out
in the forest. By the time we go to the place where the ball appeared,
it had vanished. We scanned the ground where it had appeared and found
five sets of footprints leading off into the forest. "

"Bugrom?"

"No, princess. The footprints were human. The weird thing about
them is that they start from nowhere and then move into the forest. I
think that we might have some more visitors from that Earth place,"
Londs
stated.

"Londs, I want you to take a group of guards and find our new
guests. If they are from Earth, they are probably confused. I think
that you'd better take along Nanami, just in case their are still any
of
the Phantom tribe left," Rune Venus said

"Understood, Highness," Londs replied, "Are you going to tell
Makoto of this?"

Rune Venus pondered the question for a moment, before stating, "I
think I'd better. This might give him a clue on how to be reunited
with
his love. "

Londs bowed and left while thinking to himself, *Why Makoto
thinks
that that thing is a living being I'll never know. I'm just glad that
there are no more Demon Gods left on this world*

Rune Venus watched Londs go, guessing as to what he thought about
Ifurita. Rune sighed and shook her head. She needed to tell Makoto
that new visitors from Earth might have arrived.

In a secluded corridor of the Crystal Palace in Crystal Tokyo,
King Endymion sat brooding with his head down. After a couple of
minutes, he felt the presence of two others. Endymion raised his head
so his eyes were looking at the forms of Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars.
Mars frowned deeply as she looked at him.

"Okay, Tuxedo Mask start talking," Rei demanded, "We want to know
the real reason why you didn't go with Usagi, and don't give us that
bit
about being here for Chibi-usa. "

Venus, agreeing, added, "Yes, please tell us why and maybe we can
help. "

Looking into the two Senshi's eyes, he sighed, nodded, and said,
"The reason I didn't go with Usako, wasn't because of Chibi-usa; it was
because of Setsuna. "

Both girls blurted out, "Huh?"

"A while back, Chibi-usa told me that 'Puu' was in love with me
and asked why I didn't marry her instead of 'mommy'," Mamoru said
sadly, he sighed and continued, "At first I didn't believe her, but
there was evidence pointing in that direction, and then I had a dream
last night that confirmed it. "

"A dream? What sort of dream?" Rei asked

"It is a memory of one of my days during the Silver Millennium,"
Mamoru said and then started describing the memory.

<flashback>
An eight year old Endyimion was walking down a corridor in the
Moon Palace. He looks confused as he hears sounds that are unfamiliar
to him, that later in his Earth form he would be able to identify as
factory sounds. He followed the sounds into a deserted part of the
palace. In the area he saw a door with flashes of blue-white light
coming from beneath the frame. Curious, he shuffled up to the door and
opened it cautiously. What he saw in that room shocked him.
Standing
immobile in the room was Sailor Pluto wearing her Senshi uniform,
without the customary skirt attached. Also in the room was an elegant
woman, sewing on a piece of black cloth.

The woman was wearing a white, short, Greek style toga. Her
waist-length hair was done up in a single braid. Looking like a golden
necklace, the braid came down over the right shoulder and then was
flung
over the left. Sensing someone else in the room, the woman looked up
revealing her gray eyes and a silver crescent moon(points towards the
left) on her forehead. She sees the young boy, smiles and picks up the
Garnet Orb staff. She then starts speaking.

"Hello, Endymion. I've been expecting you," the woman stated,
"My
name is Selene. "

"Se-Se-Selene? I thought you were dead," Endymion stuttered.

"No. Not dead," Selene replied, "At least not yet. " and then
thought to herself, *I wish death is what is in store for me. *

"Uh, yeah," Endymion stammered, "W-why is Sailor Pluto just
standing there? Why do you have her staff?"

"Endymion, Sailor Pluto is not human. Using techniques I learned
from my uncle Hephaetus, I constructed Sailor Pluto. The reason I have
her staff is because I need to wind her up. Now if you will pardon me
for a second, I think I had better get her started. "

Ignoring Endymion, Selene picked up the staff and inserted into
the hole at the small of Sailor Pluto's back and started winding.
Endymion was startled when the ball lightning played over Selene
without
harming her. After a minute, Selene stopped winding and removed the
staff. Pluto's eyes opened and she looked at Selene.

Sailor Pluto spoke, "What is your command, master?"

"Nothing for right now, Pluto," Selene responded, "I was just
finished making another modification and maintenance check. Go back to
standby mode, until I call you. "

"Affirmative," Sailor Pluto said in a monotone voice.

Dazed, Endymion asked, "Sailor Pluto is a golem? Why?"

Smiling sadly, Selene answered, "Well not exactly a golem,
but close enough. As for 'why', I have my reasons. Didn't it seem odd
to you, that old Atlas would give up the keys to the time corridor to a
perfect stranger? This is why. Pluto is a mechanical; you give her an
order and she will carry it out, with no thoughts of betrayal. "

"Sailor Pluto. Doesn't she have a name besides that?" the young
boy asked.

"Well no, not yet. She is part of a project that I call
Project:Sustain. I haven't had time to give her a proper name yet.
I've been so busy preparing for something, it kind of slipped my mind.
"

"From what I've seen of her, you shouldn't be treating her like a
toy?" Endymion yelled, "And, what is with Project:Setsain. . . Sustan.
.
. Setsuna."

Selene interrupted, "That last one will be her name. Thank you,
Endymion. You have done as I foresaw and now I must make further
preparations."

Walking over to Endymion, Selene's eyes and symbol stared
glowing.
The young boy's eyes started falling. Selene placed a finger to
Endymion's forehead and started talking.

"I'm sorry for this, but I can not allow you to remember this
conversation until it is time, young prince. When Setsuna finally
gains
her emotions, she will be in love with you since you are the first
person besides myself that sees that she is more than a machine. I
had
to pretend to act like the others, so you would fulfill your job as the
person who named her. That will be another reason why she will be in
love with you. You are the one who gave her a name," Selene said
swallowed a lump in her throat and continued, "Hurry on to your
destiny,
young prince as I head on towards my doom. "

A bright silvery-gray flash of light erupted from the symbol
on Selene's forehead and blanketed the room with a blinding light.
<end flashback>

Mamoru finished up his story, "That is what my dream revealed to
me what happened so very long ago. The reason I didn't go along was
because I didn't want to hurt Setsuna. I read somewhere, that one of
the worst things for a person to see is the person that you love happy
in the arms of another. I have the feeling that one of reasons we
don't
see Setsuna around the palace much is because it pains her to see Usagi
and me happy together. "

Awed by the story, Minako asked, "She's never interfered in your
two's relationship. So, why are you worried about it?"

The king sighed and continued, "Minako, Setsuna doesn't interfere
because she realizes that Usagi and I belong together. She does have
access to the time corridor remember," Mamoru explained. "Minako, what
did you feel, at the end of your Sailor V days, when you saw that
person
you had a crush on in the arms of another woman? Apply what you felt,
to
Setsuna and stretch the feeling out over a couple thousand years. I
know what I felt when I thought I might lose Usagi. "

Minako remained silent as she remembered her old partner. There
was a silence from Rei as she remembered what it felt like losing
Mamoru
to Usagi. The two Senshi looked at each other and realized that the
reason Mamoru didn't go was to spare Setsuna any unnecessary pain.

Realizing something, Rei asked, Who is Selene?"

Mamoru smirked, told them what Usagi had found out and then
continued, "Other than that, I really don't know. Our old identities
knew, but our memories from that time are fuzzy. "

Chapter 4

On El-Hazard, the Senshi were walking through the forest. As
they
were walking, Ami was thinking about why Setsuna was able to recognize
something she never saw before. Suddenly, her head jerked up as she
thought of something. Ami then started having a discussion with
Setsuna; the other girls looked on with interest.

"Setsuna, I think I figured out why you were able to recognize
that object in the sky," Ami said

"How is that, Ami?" Setsuna inquired.

Swallowing heavily, Ami answered, "You said it yourself. You
have
a computer for a brain. My guess is that your creator put the plans
for
that device into you. I am unable to figure out the reason why
though."

"That's wild Ami," Usagi interjected, "If so why can't she tell
us more about the Eye of God. I would like to know more about it. "

Setsuna looked towards the skyline and thought long and hard on
Ami's theory. While thinking, she snapped to attention and the irises
of her eyes contracted until they were small pinpricks. The other
girls got nervous when they saw that. Inside Setsuna's mind, the
consciousness of the eldest Senshi was stunned as another part of her
mind started talking.

+Access acknowledged+, a voice sounding like Setsuna's with a
metallic tinge stated, +Plans for Eye of God now being accessed+

Setsuna's mind was assaulted with schematics, equations, and
other
information. She quickly recovered and then started looking around.
In
her sub mind, she saw a multitude of files. As she looked at them,
she
realized that the files were under time locks or password files. She
was about to try and open one when her obedience circuit kicked in.
Setsuna regained consciousness and saw the worried looks on the faces
of
her friends.

"Setsuna, answer me. Are you all right? Please, wake up?" Usagi
cried

"I am fine Usagi," Setsuna replied, "I'm sorry that I scared you
like that. "

Usagi, still very concerned, asked, "What happened? All of a
sudden you got stiff and y-y-your eyes became a solid purple. "

"It's very simple Usagi. Ami is correct that I have files inside
of me that I haven't opened. All that happened was that one of the
files opened up when I was thinking about it. Apparently when you
stated that you wanted more information on the Eye of God, my sub-
conscious took it as an order and opened the file. It looks like I'm
going to have to get used to that. There are a lot more files inside
of
me and I'm not sure what they are. "

Back in Roshtaria, Princess Rune Venus walked to a Schtalubaugh's
workshop inside the palace. She went into the room and studied the
person who was working. The young man, who so looked like her sister,
had a serious expression on his face and it looked like he hadn't slept
for a couple of days. Rune made an a-hemming sound to get Makoto's
attention. Makoto looked up and saw the princess.

"Makoto," Rune began, "I though I told you, you would not be able
to think properly if you don't get any sleep. "

"I'm sorry, but I feel that I'm about to finally figure out how
the Eye works. "

Shaking her head, Princess Rune said, "You won't be in any shape
to find Ifurita if you push yourself to hard, but that's not the reason
I came. "

"Huh? What do you mean?" Makoto asked

Rune said, "One of our patrols saw a disturbance in the forest.
When they got to where the disturbance was, they found footprints in
the
ground going off into the forest but originated from nowhere. We
believe that we might have some more visitors from Earth. "

"More visitors. Maybe Ifurita is one of them. Let's go and find
them. I'll be right with you as soon as I get Ura," Makoto said as he
went out the door.

*Still obsessed with Ifurita I see*, Rune thought to herself as
she followed him, *It would be doubtful that she has returned. I had
better alert the priestesses also. We might need their help to protect
our visitors from the Bugrom. *

Out somewhere in a forest glen, a young man was talking with a
woman who had antenna. Around the two of them were large vaguely
humanoid bugs.

"Mr. Jinnai even though we survived we do not have the numbers
anymore to conquer El Hazard," said the dark skinned woman.

"Don't worry about that Queen Diva," Jinnai said, "It is my
destiny to rule El-Hazard. I will find a way to defeat Makoto. "

Jinnai then started one of his patented one minute insane laughs.
After he was finished, one of the bugs, purple in color, came up to
him,. The bug made clacking noises, which thanks to Jinnai's talent he
was able to understand perfectly.

"What's that Groucho? There are new people from Earth here and
one
of them isn't human?"

Groucho made more clicking noises

"One of them not human and was built here in El-Hazard," Jinnai
repeated and then clenched his fist in the air, "You know what this
means? There is a new Demon God here in El-Hazard and as soon as I gain
control of her, I will conquer this world and defeat Makoto.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

After he stopped laughing, Jinnai asked, "Queen Diva do we still
have any small flyer Bugrom left?"

Diva said, "Yes we do. What do you what him to do?"

"I want the flyer to keep an eye on this new Demon God and as
soon
as there is a chance, I'm going to steal her Power Key Staff, and this
time I won't let Makoto beat me. I'll have her kill him from a
distance," Jinnai said and then shouted, " MAKOTO, ENJOY WHAT LITTLE
TIME YOU HAVE LEFT. I WILL DEFEAT YOU THIS TIME!!!!"

The Sailor Senshi were walking through the forest when a slight
shudder wracked Setsuna. Usagi looked at her friend in concern.

"Setsuna, are you all right?" Usagi asked

Setsuna replied, "I'm okay, Usagi-chan. I just had the uneasy
feeling that someone was planning something horrible for me. "

Chapter 5

In one of Roshtaria's flyers, Nanami Jinnai was looking down at
the forest. The guards that she had accompanied were doing the same.
Suddenly one of the guards pointed down at something. Looking down,
Nanami saw five girls walking through the forest towards Roshtaria.
The flyer's pilot nodded and put the craft into a landing movement.
One
of the five girls, one with green hair, looked up and saw the flyer.
She then brought the vehicle to the attention of the other girls. For
some reason, Nanami thought the five girls looked somewhat familiar,
especially the one with the two long pony-tails. Shaking it off,
Nanami
scanned the forest hunting for Phantom Tribe members or he psychotic
brother. Seeing nothing, she looked at the girls more closely. She
again got that vague sense she should know them. Nanami addressed the
girl with the pony-tails, somehow figuring she is the leader of this
group.

"Greetings. Welcome to the world of El-Hazard. My name is
Nanami
Jinnai. I'm here to greet you and escort you to the palace of
Roshtaria
to meet with Princess Rune Venus," Nanami said.

The pony-tailed girl looked at her companions and then spoke,
"Hi.
I'm Usagi Tsukino. "

A blue haired girl said, "I am Ami Mizuno"

"I'm Haruka Ten'ou," said a blond haired woman who had masculine
features

"Hello. I am Setsuna Meiou," said a green haired woman

The last girl spoke, "I'm Makoto Kino. "

After hearing that last name, Nanami gave a start and looked at
the last girl and asked, "Makoto?"

Makoto replied, "Yes. Is there a problem?"

"No. Not yet," Nanami said, "When we get to the palace you'll
understand. Tell me, are you from Earth?"

"Uh. Yes. Why do you want to know?" Usagi asked

"Just wondering. So how is Earth now?" Nanami said

Setsuna replied, "Oh it's just fine. The king and queen of Earth
are ruling wisely and well. "

Nanami exclaimed, "HUH? King and queen of Earth? What are you
talking about?"

Nanami's exclamation distracted everyone's attention, so no one
noticed Usagi's blush.

Setsuna, unfrazzled by the shout, said, "Yes. The king and queen
took over Earth after the last invasion of demons. "

"Last demon invasion? When was the first one?" Nanami asked,
dazed.

Setsuna replied, "Sometime in the mid-1980's. Is there a
problem?"

"There were no demon invasions that I know of when I left Earth,"
Nanami said.

Setsuna said, "That is true. Your Earth didn't have invasions;
ours did. "

One of the guards broke in and said, "Your Earth? Nanami's Earth?
What are you talking about?"

Ami decided to get into the conversation and said, "What Setsuna'
is talking about, is the theory of multiple Earths. Each with its own
timeline. Judging by Nanami-san's reactions, it is a theory no longer.
She is from one Earth and we are from another. "

Nanami shook off her confusion and said, "Let's discuss that at
the palace, please. If you would please accompany us. By the way Ami,
why are you carrying a rock?"

Ami smiled, put the rock in a pocket, and said, "There are
reasons. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say, that we will gladly
accept your offer. "

The other four girls nodded. The guards steeped aside to allow
the newcomers to board the flyer. None of them noticed a small insect
that had attached itself to the hull of the craft. The flyer lifted
off and made its way to Roshtaria. During the trip, Nanami kept having
these vague feelings that she should recognize these girls.

Usagi walked up beside Makoto, put a hand on her shoulder and
asked, "Will you be okay, Makoto? Remember we are here if you need us.
"

Makoto grasped the hand in a reassuring squeeze, "I'll be fine,
Usagi. I do appreciate you asking. I'll be okay for the short flight
from here to that palace. Besides, Usagi this isn't even a jet. "

Makoto Kino gave the other girls a reassuring smile, to let them
know that she would be able to handle her fear.

Back at the palace, Rune Venus had just welcomed the three
priestesses of Mt. Muldoon. The fiery haired priestess of fire,
Shayla-Shayla looked uneasy to be back in the palace. The regal
priestess of air, Afura Man looked at her friend with pity. Miz
Mishtal, the priestess of water, was hanging onto her 'fiancee' Mr.
Fujisawa. Rune Venus had just briefed the group on the possibility of
new visitors from Earth.

Shayla looked at the princess sadly and asked, "If you have told
Makoto, what was his response to this news?"

Rune looked at the red-head knowingly and said, "About as you
might expect. He's hoping that Ifurita is among them. I managed to
stop him before he went off blindly and told him to wait a bit. "

Before anyone could speak, a palace guard came in and announced
that the exploration team had found the newcomers and that they were
waiting in the hall. Princess Rune nodded and sent a guard to fetch
Makoto Mizuhara. After Makoto came into the throne room, the princess
prepared to receive her visitors. The first to enter the room was
Nanami, who immediately went to stand by Mr. Fujisawa and tried to
ignore Makoto. Right after Nanami had entered, the Sailor Senshi
entered into the room. Both Makoto Mizuhara and Mr. Fujisawa stared
at the girl who somehow they knew to be the leader and wondered where
they had seen her before. The Sailor Senshi introduced themselves and
they were responded to in kind. Of course everyone started when they
heard the names of Makoto Mizuhara and Makoto Kino. Ami then spoke up,
explaining the fact they were from an alternate Earth. Princess Rune
Venus then spoke up.

"I hope you enjoy your stay in El-Hazard," Rune said, "If there
is anything you need please ask. "

Ami spoke, choosing her words very carefully, "Yes, there might
be. We recently found out about a 'device' in our world that was
constructed here. If you have any plans from ten-thousand years ago,
it
would be appreciated. We would like to correct a slight problem with
the device. "

Rune shook her head, "I'm sorry, but due to the Holy Wars all of
ancient El-Hazardian technology was lost. Makoto is right now trying
to
piece together how some of our old technology worked. The only thing
left of that time right now is The Eye of God, that large sphere that
you have no doubt seen. "

Usagi, holding back her tears so no one would see, said, "I see.
We made the trip for nothing. "

Mizuhara looked up and said, "Trip? You came here under your own
power?"

"Yes, we did. We came here hoping to find some schematics to
modify the device, but if there is nothing here I think we should
leave?" Setsuna said and then thought to herself, *So the war occurred
just as Selene foresaw. I feel uneasy about talking about myself as a
device but I have the feeling these people would be scared of me. *

Mizuhara said, "Can you tell me how you accomplished this? I
would like to know. I'm trying to be re-united with someone. "

Both Nanami and Shayla looked at Mizuhara and then turned away.
The Senshi noticed this and came to the correct conclusion that those
two girls are in love with Mizuhara and the person he wants to be re-
united with is who he loves.

Ami said, "I'm not sure if it will work for you. You see we used
magic to get to El-Hazard and judging by what Nanmi had told us of your
Earth, you don't have any. "

Mizuhara's shoulders slumped in defeat and said, "I was
hoping. . . . . I will be re-united with her soon. I can feel it. "

Rune said," Please accept our hospitality for the night. I'm
sorry we can't help you. "

Usagi replied, "Thank you, your highness. We graciously accept.
I'm sorry that we are unable to help your friend out either. "

Looking at her friends from Earth, Princess Rune started speaking

"Nanami, What are you opinions of our new guests?" Rune asked

Nanami bit her bottom lip and said, "They all seem to be good
friends. That green haired girl, Setsuna gives me the creeps for some
reason, Somehow she just knows things. Apparently, her friends are
used
to this. They didn't even bat an eyelash when she said that we were
from separate Earths. "

Rune said, "I see. Anything else?"

"Well it probably isn't much, but for some reason I feel that
I've
seen these people before. Yet, I have never met them. "

Both Mr. Fujisawa and Mizuhara said, "You too. "

After looking at each other, the two men also related that they
felt that they had seen these people before.

Afura Man said, "I wonder how that can be. They are from a
different Earth than you are, and yet you recall seeing them before. "

"Aw, my head hurts," Shayla said, "Let's figure it out in the
morning. "

"Agreed," Rune stated, looked at Makoto, and then continued, "I'm
sorry Makoto. I wish that this had turned out better for you. "

Makoto replied, "Thank you, highness. I'll take your advice and
get some sleep. Tomorrow, I'm going to get back on working on the Eye.
Good-night. "

Usagi looked at her friend, barely holding back her tears.

"I'm so sorry, Setsuna," Usagi weeped, "I was sure that we would
be able to free you. "

Setsuna laid a reassuring hand on Usagi's shoulder and said,
"It's
all right, Usagi. I've had more than a three thousand years to get
adjusted to my nature. "

Ami spoke hesitantly, "Uhm, Setsuna if you are still winding
down,
how is Usagi supposed to wind you back up? I guess I should ask, Are
you
able to use any of your powers like you are now?"

Setsuna smiled and held out her hand. A purple light formed in
it. The light then rapidly expanded and then died away, revealing the
Garnet Orb Staff.

"Well, that answers your first question, Ami," Setsuna replied,
"As to the second, I can use a lot of my Demon-god abilities, but I
will
wind down very, very fast. This form was designed to conserve energy
by
changing how my internal wiring is placed. The cost is that any use of
my powers is extremely draining. "

"Demon-god?" Haruka asked.

"Well, that is what beings like me were called," Setsuna
answered, "The Demon-gods were built and sent into battle. They were
this world's doomsday weapon. One Demon-god could destroy an entire
city within seconds. I am thankful that Selene brought me to our
universe and activated me there. I avoided a lot of the destruction
involved in the Holy Wars. "

Makoto looked at Setsuna and said, "You knew that there
wouldn't be a chance to free you, didn't you?"

Shaking her head sadly, Setsuna said, "I had a very strong hunch.
I was built during a war that thousands of people were dying every day.
I also know that Selene, when she was here, was appalled at the
destruction, but could do nothing about it. One of the things she did
was to download all of this world's history into my memory banks. She
was a firm believer in the preservation of knowledge. As a matter of
fact, I have the entire contents of the Library of Alexandria in me as
well. "

"If she was so altruistic, why did she build you as a slave?"
Haruka asked.

"It was necessary. Although, I don't know how," Setsuna said,
"She also made a vague reference about mother, sister, daughter that
I'm
still trying to figure out."


Ami said, "Well, I think we could all use a good nights sleep.
You especially could use the rest, Usagi. "

"All right," Usagi said, "Pleasant dreams all. I hope you have
pleasant dreams Setsuna. Night. "

So saying, Usagi went to the room that the princess had provided
her. The other girls went into their respective rooms. Setsuna went
into her room and leaned her staff against the wall. Taking a look at
the staff, Setsuna wondered what her life might have been like if she
had remained in El-Hazard during the Holy Wars. Even though she really
didn't need it, Setsuna laid down and went to sleep. About an hour
after she went to sleep, a figure climbed up the vines outside her
window and came in to the room that way. The figure picked up the
Garnet Orb Staff and looked down at Setsuna. Unaware of what was going
on, Setsuna dreamed.

Chapter 6

Setsuna's mind drifted into a place in her sub-conscious. She
felt like a stranger to her own mind. What she was dreaming about had
nothing to do with her. It was like she was in the middle of a movie
and she was invisible and intangible. Looking around, she saw a
laboratory with lots of plans. On a table, she saw a girl with long
light purple hair lying down. On another, she saw herself. Setsuna
quickly realized that what she was seeing was a video recording of the
time of her creation. Setsuna saw her creator, Selene and decided to
watch what was going on.

Looking up at a person who came into the room, Selene said
crossly,
"Hello, Merhu. I see you came to check up on me. "

The man she spoke to was dressed in long flowing robes. His
shoulder length orange hair was tied in a pony tail. The man looked at
Selene as responded.

"Yes, I have. We are going to need those two Demon-gods that you
are working on to put down the rebellion. "

Selene looked at Merhu coldly and said, "I have already told you,
I have something in mind in my universe for one of them. I really
don't want to let you have either one of them, but I see that one of
them will have to stay. You will not get both. I've already written
plans for a new weapon, you majesty. Once you see those plans, you'll
agree that the device is worth more than having two Demon-gods. "

"We know that is what we agreed upon," King Merhu said, "But, we
need both of them, if we are to succeed in squashing the rebellion. "

Shaking her head, Selene said, "No. If my plan doesn't succeed,
you can say good-bye to my universe as well as this one. I'm only
building your weapons of war because I need certain things from your
world that I can't build anywhere else."

Picking up a small rod, Merhu said, "Such as this thing? You
have
built quite a few of them."

"The Henshin rods? Yes," Selene replied, "I've built those as
well as some other devices. When I return to my world I'll be taking
them with me."

Selene got a far away look in her eye and said, "After a thousand
years, there will be only ten of these devices left in the solar
system. The others will go with the Atlantean explorers. The devices
will resonate with certain of their children and will allow them to
become Sailor Senshi," picking up a gray rod topped with a flat-
bottomed half-circle, she continued, "As of right now, I'm the only one
that can use one of these. The others will be in tune with the planets
they settle on. Princes and princesses of their worlds and one of them
will be in tune with the galaxy. "

Merhu snorted and said, "What will these certain people have? Do
you really expect us to believe that your enemy can destroy this
world?"

Selene smiled sadly, "These people will have something called a s
star-seed inside of them. It is the representation of all that is good
with their world. It will form inside the person who forms that
world's best representation. Right now, I'm the representative of my
world, Gaea or Earth as it will be called later, but after I do
something the rights to that will pass into a different person. There
is also a world in our solar system that will never have a star-seed
form naturally," Selene took a quick glance at one of the tables and
continued, "I've already chosen a Senshi for that world and have also
figured out how to give that person a star-seed. "

Merhu sighed and said in a bored voice, "You didn't answer our
second question, though. "

Selene shuddered as she thought of something unpleasant, "Sehkmet
the Destroyer? Trust me she is. After I fight her, I'm going to need
someone that I can trust to carry out my plans after I'm gone. That is
why I need one of the Demon-gods in my universe. "

"You sound like, you won't win the fight," Merhu commented, "If
your going to lose why are you going?"

Selene ignored his question and said, "Since you came here to
check up on the progress of the Demon-gods, I can have one of them
finished within the day. I think I'll call the light blue haired one
Ifurita, after the djinns and ifrits of my world. The other will take
a
bit longer, at least a week. "

"Okay, we hope to see how good a job you did on this other on?"
Merhu said and muttered under his breath, "And, when you finish the
other one, we'll take that one as well. "

Selene smiled as she watched King Merhu go and said calmly, "Once
Ifurita is activated, I'm leaving and taking all my projects with me.
I could have
the other Demon-god finished also, but I want to make some improvements
on
her. All you're going to find the day after next is an empty workshop
and the
plans for The Eye of God. "

Selene looked down at the green-haired Demon-god and said, "I'm
also going to put all of the schematics for my devices into her memory
bank as well as this world's knowledge. Combining magic and technology
can create some very spectacular effects. "

Setsuna, still unnoticeable, realized how close she came to being
a weapon of destruction. Hugging herself and shuddering slightly, she
recalled the last bit of Selene's words. She also was shocked to learn
that she had her plans inside of her. As the memory faded, Setsuna
was
back in the place where the files for the Eye of God were stored.
Looking around, she saw a bunch of glowing orbs floating around her.
Knowing that each orb was a file, Setsuna hunted for the one that
contained her plans. She was about to touch one of the globes when
something snapped her awake. Someone was going to try and wind her up
and it wasn't Usagi.

Setsuna put her arms on the bed and pushed forcefully away from
bed. She was propelled away from the intruder, and a slight ripping
sound was heard. Landing on her feet, she looked at the person who
tried to steal her. The young man was dressed in a Japanese school
uniform. His facial expression showed that he was slightly delusional.
The person began speaking.

"How dare you evade the one who is your true master," the
intruder said.

"You're not my master; Usagi-chan is. Who are you?" Setsuna
responded.

"Details, details. As soon as I wind you up, you'll be under my
control. I, Katsuhiko Jinnai, will soon be the ruler of El Hazard.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

*This guy is insane. I must have some sort of attack for this
situation*, Setsuna thought.

Upon her thoughts, a trigger phrase was released into her mind as
well as the attack that it went with.

Setsuna brought her arms in front of her and cried, "SONIC
WIND!!!"

A blast of sonic energy slammed Jinnai back up against the wall.
Jinnai was momentarily dazed. He shook his head to clear it. Picking
up the Garnet Orb staff he smirked at Setsuna and jumped out the
window.
Setsuna quickly raced to the window and saw that he had been caught by
some vaguely anthropomorphic bugs. Jinnai raised the staff over his
head and called out.

"Soon you'll be mine, you refuge from a clock factory, and then
I'll conquer this world and the world you came from as well.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH?" Jinnai cried out as the bugs carried him away.

Shortly after that, the door to Setsuna's room was flung open.
Coming into the room were Setsuna's friends, the three priestesses of
Mt. Muldoon, Rune Venus, Makoto Mizuhara, and the palace guards. The
first thing Rune Venus noticed was that during the short scuffle with
Jinnai, Setsuna's key access port was exposed. Realizing the
significance of that port, she turned to Usagi and spoke.

"I think we had better have a long conversation about your
friend," Rune said

Usagi blinked in confusion at first and then noticed what Rune
had
seen. She looked back at the princess and nodded. Everyone else in
the
room was a little confused by the situation. Usagi looked at everyone
in the room and made a request.

"Could everyone please leave? I would like to talk to Setsuna
alone for a minute if you don't min?" Usagi said.

The Senshi nodded and left the room. At Rune Venus' nod the El-
Hazardians and Mizuhara also followed suit. Usagi asked for an
explanation on what happened. After hearing Setsuna's explanation,
she
looked at her friend with a worried expression.

"Setsuna, what will happen when you wind down completely?" Usagi
asked.

Mulling it over Setsuna said, "A complete wind down is usually
means death for a Demon-god. "

Usagi 's face firmed with resolve, "We will get your staff back
before that happens. I'm not going to lose a friend like that. "

Setsuna said quietly, "Usagi-chan. "

A sheepish expression came on Usagi's face as she stated, "Well I
think it's time we faced Rune Venus and tell her why we actually came
here. I hope they aren't to shocked about what you are. "


Chapter 7

Usagi and Setsuna entered the throne room of Rune Venus. Their
friends were waiting for them, looking slightly nervous. The three
priestesses of Mt. Muldoon, Nanami, and Mizuhara were looking
perplexed. Mr. Fujisawa was nodding off in a corner, he looked like
he was trying to stay awake but not having much luck at it. Rune
Venus
watched as the two friends entered into the throne room. She was
thankful that her sister and Aielle were somewhat preoccupied
elsewhere.
Rune was about ready to speak, when Setsuna held up her hand and
started
talking.

"I think I know the question you are about to ask," Setsuna said,
"The answer is yes, I am. "

The other Sailor Senshi got slightly worried expressions while
Rune's friends' became even more confused. Rune looked at the person
who had just spoken and then at the blonde girl next to her. At her
glance, Setsuna and Usagi nodded confirming her suspicions. She then
addressed Usagi.

"I take it this is the reason, you came to El-Hazard?" Rune asked

Usagi nodded and said, "Yes, it is. She deserves her freedom. "

Mizuhara got an inkling of what they were talking about and
studied Setsuna closely. He saw the same grace that Ifurita had, and
other than superficial differences had the same features as his love.
Shayla Shayla was getting a little upset as a lot of the conversation
was going on silently. The Senshi moved next to their friends. Except
for Mr. Fujisawa, everyone else was getting more perplexed by the
second. Mr. Fujisawa had lost his battle with sleep and was now in
slumber land. Princess Rune looked at the green-haired woman solemnly
and spoke.

"That disturbance was Jinnai, wasn't it? He was coming after you,
wasn't he?" Rune asked

Setsuna simply nodded answering Rune's question

Shayla Shayla, pushed passed her exasperation point, loudly said,
"Will someone please tell me, just what is going on here? "

Setsuna looked at the hot-tempered priestess and calmly said,
"What is going on here, Priestess Shayla is that I'm a Demon-god built
here in El-Hazard. My friends came here to try and find a way to free
me from being enslaved to Usagi here. As a matter of fact, Usagi is
the
one who is the most vocal on freeing me. What happened in the room I
was allowed the use of was a person by the name of Katsuhiko Jinnai
snuck into my room and tried to take possession of me by winding me up.
I was able to repel him but he took my key staff with him. Does that
answer your question?"

Shayla Shayla looked at Setsuna blankly as the information slowly
seeped in. The Senshi prepared themselves for a battle. Looking
shocked, the others were staring first at Setsuna and then at Usagi.
Shayla Shayla then exploded in rage.

"This is just great. We lose one Demon-god and gain another.
Well at least this one shouldn't be as powerful as Ifurita was," Shayla
said while throwing her hands up in exasperation.

Usagi blinked in confusion and then asked, "You know Setsuna's
sister?"

On that question, the non-Senshi who were awake chorused,
"SISTER?!?!?!?"

Waking up with a start, Mr. Fujisawa looked around and saw the
shocked looks on the faces of his comrades. The shock of that
information was to much for Shayla; her eyes slowly rolled back into
her
head and she then collapsed. Afura Mann and Miz Mishtal quickly caught
her before she hit the floor. They carefully laid her down and stood
and
looked at Setsuna. Setsuna looked at the people who had just yelled
and
spoke.

"By your reactions, I see you have met my sister," Setsuna said,
"How is she and where can I find her? I would like to speak with her. "

Mizuhara looked up sadly, "She isn't here; she's on my Earth.
She
might be dying. I. . . I'm trying to get back there so I can be re-
united with her. All I have left of her is her power key staff. I
was
hoping. . "

Seeing the despair in his eyes, Setsuna continued for him, "You
were hoping that our arrival would give you a clue on how to return to
your world. Could you please tell me what happened to her? I was
removed from this world before I was activated, so I have very few
memories of her. "

After a questioning glance at Rune Venus, who gave a nod; Makoto
relayed the story of how Makoto and the others got involved with
Ifurita. Setsuna got a hard look when she heard that that insane
person
who tried to control her at one time was in control of her sister. The
other Senshi listened with great interest and at times had to hide
their
disgust at what had happened to Ifurita and the antics of the Phantom
Tribe. After Mizuhara was finished Setsuna nodded her thanks and then
spoke.

"Makoto-kun, thank you for freeing my sister," Setsuna said,
"Since it is apparent that you love her and she you, I would like to
help you get rejoin her. "

Mizuhara looked up in hope and said, "You would? How? I've been
trying to figure out the Eye of God for the past month and have had
little luck. "

Giving her friends a reassuring nod, Setsuna replied, "The person
who built Ifurita and me, also built the Eye of God. Her name was
Selene; she apparently decided to use me as her journal and logbook.
Inside my mind I have the plans for the Eye of God. I would like to
see my sister and talk with her. . '

Ignoring the shocked look on his friends' faces, Mizuhara said,
"You do? I can see Ifurita again? Please, tell me how the Eye works so
I
can go to her. I swore I would be rejoined with her. "

*He's even more love struck than Usagi is with Mamoru*, Setsuna
thought to herself and then said, "Give me a second. "

Setsuna closed her eyes and called up the file that held the Eye
of God's plans. On trying to open it she found she was unable to and
the metallic tinged voice rang out inside her mind.

+Access denied. Improper voice frequency+, the metallic voice
said

Setsuna was baffled for a second; she then got an idea and tried
to open other files. As with the first she found that it required a
certain voiceprint to access the files or they were under time-lock.
She thought about how her creator might have protected the files and
realized the only person who could release the voice activated files
was
Usagi. She opened her eyes and looked at the people watching her.

Smiling wryly, Setsuna said, "It seems that there is a bit of a
problem. Usagi you're going to have to order me to access the files.
Those files require a voice print and a command from my master to open.
Somehow, Selene has set the voiceprint to match your voice. "

Before Usagi could say anything, Rune said, "I would like to know
what you will want in payment for giving Makoto this information. "

Usagi tried to say something, but was interrupted again.

"Two things," Ami said, "First, help us get Setsuna's staff back
and then help us free her from that control circuit. "

Usagi tired of getting interrupted looked out the window and
watched as a silver butterfly flew in and out the window.

Mizuhara nodded and said, "If that is all. It's more than worth
it. I can free your friend now, if you wish. "

Usagi looked around to make sure no one was going to interrupt
her. Seeing that everyone was watching her for what her decision would
be. She just nodded giving her answer. Mizuhara walked up to Setsuna
and put his fingers on her forehead. He then summoned his talent for
interfacing with El-Hazardian technology. The glow that appeared
whenever he used his power appeared and both he and Setsuna went into a
trance. Suddenly, the glow pulsed erratically and a small explosion
occurred. Both Setsuna and Mizuhara were propelled away from the blast
and hit the walls. After the explosion, the Senshi rushed to Setsuna
as
the others rushed to Mizuhara; everyone breathed a sigh of relief when
it was revealed that the explosion simply shook them up and no serious
injuries were forthcoming. Ami was the first to break the silence
that
had followed the blast.

Ami said, "What just happened?"

Mizuhara replied, "When I tried to interface with your friend, I
started encountering areas I was unable to affect. I tried to figure
out what was going on by using my ability on one the areas. After I
did
that, the next thing I know is that I'm flying backwards into a wall. "

"I see. ?" Ami said, "Makoto could you please get a piece of pure
El-Hazard technology. "

Slightly confused, Makoto went to Stalumbau's lab and came back
with an old El-Hazard LD player. Ami nodded and pulled her super
computer out of nowhere. The non-Senshi stared in shock when she did
that. Ami then began speaking.

"Makoto, please use your power on that device," Ami said and
thought to herself, *It would be easier with my visor as well but my
computer does have some scanning abilities. *

Slightly dazed by the sudden appearance of the computer, he did
as he was asked. The glow surrounded him and the player. Ami analyzed
the readings that she was getting and then turned to Setsuna, who had
an
idea of what was going on, and analyzed her. After she got her
readings, she then started making calculations. The others were
watching her with great interest. She finally sighed sadly and closed
the computer. She looked at Setsuna, who nodded, and the Usagi.

Ami said, "It seems that the magical improvements Selene made to
Setsuna reacted violently with Makoto-kun's power. "

"She's more powerful than Ifurita?" Rune said as the others
gasped

Setsuna shook her head and replied, "Not more powerful, just
things like a longer running spring and a low energy mode. Mostly
minor
improvements nothing earth-shattering" and then thought, *Except for my
starseed, of course. *

The others breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that. Setsuna
started to walk towards Usagi when she stumbled slightly. Usagi
quickly
ran to her and caught her before she fell. Usagi, with a worried
expression looked at Setsuna.

"Are you all right Setsuna?" Usagi asked

"I think that the blast took more out of me than I thought,"
Setsuna replied.

Usagi said, "We need to get you rewound as soon as possible. "

Looking at what was going on, Mizuhara quickly left the room and
came back holding a large staff, with an ax shaped head and had two
globes pierced through the center. Makoto sighed heavily and tapped
Usagi on the shoulder.

"Maybe this will help," Mizuhara said, "It is Ifurita's Power
Key Staff. Since they are sisters it might work to wind your friend
up. "

Gratefully looking at Makoto, Usagi took the staff and tried to
insert it into Setsuna's key port. The staff failed to go in. Pulling
it away from Setsuna, Usagi stared at the end of the staff. Usagi's
shoulders slumped; on the end of the staff were three prongs, compared
to Setsuna's which had a ball on the end. She handed the staff back to
Makoto and was wracked by silent sobs. Setsuna put a hand on her
shoulder to comfort her.

"Usagi-chan, thank you for caring, but don't worry as long as I
don't use any power I can go for a long time," Setsuna said.

Haruka then spoke up, "And how long before that madman finds out
and attacks forcing you to use power, Setsuna?"

Makoto said, "Haruka's right. we're going to have to get
Setsuna's staff back from him or . . "

Londs shook his head not believing how caring these girls were
for
a machine. Shayla Shayla finally started regaining consciousness.
Princess Rune gave Londs a knowing glance and then spoke up.

"Ladies, since it is our fault for not protecting your friend
better, I would like to offer some help. Makoto, I know you want to be
rejoined with her but it will have to wait a bit. Shayla, I would like
you and the other priestesses to go with them as they try to get that
staff back from Jinnai. Mr. Fujisawa I would like for you to
accompany
them on their trip. "

The people who Rune addressed all nodded their acceptance.
Shayla
Shayla, despite having to help a Demon-god, looked forward to fighting
some Bugrom. The Senshi gave their thanks and started to head to their
room when Rune's voice stopped them.

"For your own protection, I think it would be better if you spent
the night in the dungeon," Rune said, "We're not going to lock you in;
we just want to make sure that Jinnai can not get a hold of your
friend. "

Usagi just simply nodded the worries of the past hour having
wearied her. The other Senshi saw the wisdom in the suggestion and
went
along with it. The guards escorted them to the dungeon where all the
Senshi, save Setsuna went into separate cells. Setsuna, knowing how
her
friend thought, went into the same cell with Usagi. Usagi knowing that
Setsuna was there to give her piece of mind, nodded gratefully to
Setsuna. Usagi was then fast asleep. Setsuna sat down with her back
against a wall, and looked at the person who she was bonded to. She
smiled softly and wondered what would happen come the dawn.

Chapter 8

Waking up, Usagi looked around for Setsuna and saw that she
hadn't
moved from the position that she was in last night. Setsuna noticing
that Usagi was awake, nodded to her and started to speak.

"Good morning, Usagi. I hope you had pleasant dreams," Setsuna
said

"Setsuna, did you go to sleep last night?' asked a concerned
Usagi

"No, but then I really don't need to."

Usagi got up out of bed and headed for the door. Setsuna stood
up
and started to move forward when she stumbled slightly. Usagi quickly
reached out and caught her before she fell to the ground. Setsuna
managed to get balance back and stood shakily and gave her friend a
warm
smile.

"Setsuna, what's wrong?"

"Sorry, Usagi. It has been a long time since I had to work at
this low a level of winding. I feel slow," Setsuna answered softly,
"I'm going to have to get used to this once more."

"What do you mean by that?"

Sighing softly, Setsuna softly explained, "Usagi, a Demon-god is
only capable of staying wound for a maximum of ten years. That is with
low level use of power. I can last twenty years at minimal power after
a full wind-up. Selene plugged some sort of energy crystal into my key
port that kept me charged up until the time came to turn myself over to
you."

"Why? Why me?"

"I wasn't given that information.. It had something to do with
Sehkmet."

Startled, Usagi blurted out, "Who's Sehkmet?"

Shuddering slightly, Setsuna explained, "Sehkmet was an
Atlanteean
warrior-mage. She was pretty much unstoppable after she absorbed
Hathor's magic. Hathor was her sister. She destroyed Atlantis and the
refugees from the island kingdom were the founders of the Moon Kingdom.
Somehow, I'm not sure how, Selene managed to defeat Sehkmet, but was
unable to kill her. She managed to rip Sehkmet asunder and scatter the
bits of her across the galaxy."

Usagi notice Setsuna's slight shiver of fear and wondered how
much
worse could Sehkmet have been. Resolving to find out more about
Sehkmet
and Selene later, Usagi went to knock on the door when Setsun'a voice
stopped her.

"Usagi-chan, what's wrong? You've been somewhat of an emotional
basket case ever since you found out about what I am. I know part of
it
is because of that, but not all."

Usagi looked at her friend and decide to tell her what has been
bothering her, "I'm tired, Setsuna. I've been ruling Crystal Tokyo for
several centuries now. My daughter has finally grown up and I'm
starting to feel the pressure of running the kingdom for so long. I
would love to go to a movie and just hang out with my friends like I
used to, before I became Neo-Queen Serenity."

Usagi sat back down and steepled her fingers , "Serenity was
raised as a princess and knew that she would be trapped by her job, but
Usagi was raised as an ordinary child who had friends and could walk
around in public without being mobbed. The day in and day out routine
has just been wearing on me; I'm even starting to loose sleep because
of
it. After this little adventure, Mamoru and I are hoping to step down
and try to go back to a simpler way of life."

Setsuna put a hand on Usagi's shoulder and squeezed it in a
reassuring manner, and said, "So that's what's been bothering you?
Being queen?"

"Yes. I'm not a machine," Usagi replied and realizing what she
had just said, turned her eyes on Setsuna and stammered out, "I'm sorry
I didn't mean..."

Setsuna calmly shook her head and said, "That's all right, Usagi.
You needed to get what was bothering you out of your system and I'm not
offended by your remark."

Usagi got back up and then started knocking on the cell door.
While knocking she came to a decision about her mechanical friend.

*I really don't want to do this but I want to keep her safe,*
Usagi thought and then whispered to Setsuna, "I'm sorry Setsuna that I
have to do this, but I order you to stay near me at all times."

Smiling to herself, Setsuna knew what Usagi was doing and felt
warmed by her concern. She gave a nod to Usagi letting her know that
it
was all right and she would obey the command.

*You really hate having this much control over me don't you
Usagi-
chan?* Setsuna thought to herself, *All I know is it is necessary for
me to be like this for right now, but I don't think you would
understand. I'm not sure I do either.*


The door to the cell opened up and the guards let the two girls
out. Looking very nervous, the two guards watched the green haired
Senshi very carefully. Knowing that the reason the guards were nervous
was because she was a Demon-god, Setsuna sighed sadly. Usagi hearing
her looked back and gave her a encouraging smile. Setsuna's clockwork
heart was lifted by the fact that, to Usagi and probably the other
Senshi, her mechanical nature was unimportant. The other three girls
joined up with them and together they headed into the throne room to
plan for the expedition to get Setsuna's key back.

Princess Rune Venus watched as the five girls entered into her
throne room. She felt somewhat uncomfortable about having a Demon-god
in
the palace. Looking over at Mizuhara, she noticed that he was watching
Ifurita's sister closely. Nanami kept looking at Usagi trying to
remember where she saw her before and looked down at a manga that she
had kept with her from when she was first transported from her home.
Nanami's eyes got real big and her eyes darted up and looked at Usagi
in
shock.

"Oh, my god! It can't be!" Nanami blurted out

Everyone looked at Nanami wondering what she was talking about.
Setsuna noticing the small book that Nanami had with her, just smiled.
Princess Rune looked back and forth between Usagi and Nanami trying to
figure out what Nanami had seen.

"Hey, Nanami don't keep us in the dark," Shayla Shayla said,
"Tell us
what you are talking about."

Nanami started stuttering out, while staring at Usagi,
"Usa...Usagi.. It can't be her. You...your...Sail...Sailor M...Moon.
You are Sailor Moon," Nanami's eyes darted from one Senshi to the next,
"That's J..J...Jupiter. She's Mercury. Sail..Sailor Uranus. That
would mean Ifurita's sister is...is... OH, MY GOD! NO!!! Sailor
Pluto."

After stammering out that last bit Nanami 's eyes rolled back
into
her head and she slumped to the ground. Both Mizuhara and Mr. Fujisawa
looked at the Senshi, now recognizing them, and swallowed hard.

"Well, that's it for me. I need a drink. Characters from an
anime coming to life is either a sign I've had to much or I'm suffering
from the DT's; and since I'm sober, it must be the DT's," Mr. Fujisawa
said.

Mizuhara said, "I see them too, Sensei. Well at least we now
know
why they look so familiar. I also have to agree with Nanami on the fact
that Sailor Pluto is a Demon-god."

Shayla Shayla was getting annoyed and tersely asked, "Will
someone
please explain what is going on here?"

Mizuhara took a deep shuddering breath and slow replied, "Those
five girls are from a fictional story from our reality."

"Fictional?" asked Rune in a confused voice.

"You see, princess it's like this," Mr. Fujisawa started
explaining,
realizing the problem, "A fictional story is make believe. We tell
these
stories that are not based in fact to educate or entertain. They are
not
supposed to be real."

Setsuna laid a hand on Usagi's shoulder and whispered, "They
know.
Don't worry about this; everything will turn out all right, Usagi-
chan."

Usagi nodded to the other girls to reassure them as well. Ami,
curious, walked over to where Nanami had fainted and picked up the
fallen
manga. Looking inside it, she felt a little disturbed at seeing the
final
battle with Queen Beryl depicted. She frowned somewhat, because her
memories did not match up with what was shown. The other Senshi
watched her
expectantly. Suddenly she snapped her fingers and turned towards her
friends.

Ami said, "This manga depicts an alternate universe where events
turned out differently. It's kind of bizarre seeing a version of
yourself
in a manga."

Startled, Mizuhara said, "Your from the anime universe then?"

*Please tell me I didn't hear that,* Makoto said and then asked,
"Anime?"

"Yes. There was an anime based on the manga," Mizuhara
explained,
"It ran for two-hundred episodes and had three movies. It detailed
your
lives in dealing with various threats."

Ami asked, "Who was Chibi-chibi?"

Mizuhara replied, "In the manga, it was Sailor Cosmos, a future
version of Sailor Moon. In the anime, it was Galaxia's star seed."

The Sailor Senshi just looked at one another. A sudden gasp,
coming
from Nanami, focused all the attention on her. Waking up, Nanami
looked at
Usagi very intently, making Usagi a little bit nervous. Nanmi got up
and
bowed to Usagi.

"Hello, Sailor Moon or should I say Neo-Queen Serenity?" Nanami
said,
"There is only one queen of Earth mentioned in the manga or anime, and
that
is Neo-Queen Serenity. That queen is you Sailor Moon."

Usagi, feeling a bit trapped, said, "I'm not your queen. I came
here
to help my friend. Please don't bow to me. I was kind of enjoying
being a
somewhat normal person again."

Taking a close look at the odango headed girl, Rune Venus knew
what
she was talking about. She too felt that the duties of ruling a
country
were to much at times. Rune fought down a bit of jealousy for Usagi.
The
jealous feelings were caused by the fact that Usagi had a lot of close
friends, even as queen, and she was able to leave the duties of office
for a
while. Rune raised a hand to call for some silence. A hush fell over
the
throne room as everyone waited for Princess Rune Venus to speak.

Looking at Mizuhara, Rune said, "Makoto, could you please tell me
what
you know of this ah-nee-may. If you don't mind."

Mizuhara nodded and tried to recall everything he new of the show
'Bishishoujo Sailor Moon'. As he told Rune Venus of the adventures
that
were depicted on the show, the Senshi, with the exception of Setsuna,
felt a
bit embarrassed by the fact that some of these people knew so much
about
them. Setsuna just smiled and gave Usagi's shoulder a reassuring
squeeze.
After hearing the tales of the Sailor Senshi, Rune looked at her guests
with
new respect, especially Usagi.

Rune asked, "If it is not to much trouble, I would like to see
your
transformation into Sailor Senshi. If you don't mind."

Usagi looked at Rune, nodded, and said, "Okay. The four of us
will,
but Setsuna needs to conserve her power, so she won't transform."

Setsuna hearing Usagi's words, realized that she had been told
not to
transform. She just nodded and went to stand by Mizuhara. The four
Senshi
called out their transformation phrases and were surrounded by colors
and
light. After the spectalce was done, standing before Rune Venus were
Sailor
Mercury, Sailor Jupiter, and Eternal Sailor Moon. The El-hazardiansa
as
well as the non-Crystal Tokyo earthlings were stunned by the spectacle.
The
El-Hazardians wondered what sort of world theese people came from.

Back in Crystal Tokyo, Chibi-Usa was trying to figure out a
solution
to a problem. After heraring about who and what Puu was, she hunted
through
some of the old books on royal law. What she found didn't make her
happy.
Deciding to get some advice, she went in search of the moon cats.
Cibi-Usa
found the three cats lying on the lip of the courtyard fountain,
soaking up
the sun. She cleared her throat to get the cats' attention. The three
cats
looked up and saw the temporary queen. They quickly gave her their
undivided attention.

Chibi-Usa smiled and said, "Luna, I need to talk with you about
something important. Artemis and Diana can go back to sleep."

Confused, Luna said, "Uh, okay. You've got my curiosity up."

Taking a glance at Luna's and Chibi-Usa's dwindling forms Artemis
and
Diana went back to sleep. Luna wondered what the problem was that
Chibi-Usa
had. Chibi-Usa looked somber as she remembered what she found out.
She
hoped that Luna would have an idea on how to solve the situation.
Sighing,
she turned to Luna.

"Luna, I was doing some research on some of the laws concerning
royalty," Chibi-Usa explained, "I found out something I didn't like."

Worried, Luna asked, "What is it?"

Chibi-Usa explained the laws that she had read about. She also
explained about the situation and how she soubted her mother knew of
this
additional problem. Luna's demeanor became unusally solemn as she
listened
to Chibi-Usa. Chibi-Usa then finished up and stated that she couldn't
figure a way out.

Sadly, Luna said, "I'm sorry Chibi-Usa, but I can find no
loophole
either."

Almost in tears, Chibi-Usa said, "Mama's not going to be to
pleased
about this. Maybe I should'nt have researched this branch of the law."

Luna firmly stated, "No. You did the right thing. Maybe, we
can't
figure out a loophole now, but knowing _now_ gives us time to try and
find
one."

Chibi-Usa just nodded and hoped that her mama and her friends
were
all right.

Chapter 9

Katsuhiko Jinnai, while being carried by Groucho, was looking
closely
at the Garnet Orb Staff. An odd feeling of recoginition held him for a
second before he shrugged it off. He was still fuming that that
clockwork
bitch had defied him and hit him with an attack. He was going to make
sure
as soon as he got control of her, he would make her do the most
humiliating
tasks he could think of. Jiinnai noticed the heart shaped loop and
wondered
if the person who built this new Demon-god had a bad sense of humor.

"Why does this Demon-god's key-staff have a heart as a
decoration?"
Jinnai asked, "Demon-gods are supposed to be weapons of destruction not
love."

Looking up, the purple bugrom Groucho made some growling sounds.

"No. I wasn't asking you," Jinnai replied, "I was talking to
myself. Now let's get moving. I want some distance between me and that
Demon-god."

Jinnai quickly hopped atop Groucho, riding him piggy-back. He
pointed
with Setsuna's staff telling Groucho to head off in the direction he
pointed. He would talk to Queen Diva about this new Demon-god and
maybe
she could shed some light on this mystery. Jinnai started laughing
manically once he realized all he had to do was wait for the Demon-god
to
run down and then he could walk in and wind her up without any
interference
from any residual loyalty that this android felt for her present
master.
Jinnai started making plans to disrtact the preistesses of Mt. Muldoon
and
Mr. Fujisawa, since he believed that they were the only ones who could
stop
him from getting ahold of the new Demon-god.

Back in Roshtaria, Princees Rune Venus agreed to help the Sailor
Senshi. After some explantaions , history lessons, a plan was aggred
upon.
Three groups would set off from the palace. Each with a different
missions, and ,with the exception of Setsuna, the Sailor Senshi would
be in
Senshi form. One group would track down Jinnai and try and recover
Setsuna's key. This group was composed of Mr. Fujisawa, Shayla Shayla,
Miz
Mishtal, Nanami Jinnai, and Makoto Kino. The second group would be
heading
to the forbidden isle where Ifurita was locked in slumber for
centuries.
The Forbidden Isle group was composed of Ami Mizuno, Afura Mann, and
Haruka
Ten'oh. The third group would be heading up to the Eye-of-God to try
and
recover Ifurita from the non-Crystal Tokyo Earth. Makoto Mizuhara,
Usagi
Tsukino, Setsuna, and Ura the cat would be heading up to the Eye.
Regardless of anything else going on, Usagi vowed that she would help
Setsuna survive and not be enslaved to that madman. Setsuna for her
part
looked hopeful that she would finally meet her sister.

"Setsuna, how are you feeling?" asked Usagi

"I'm fine Usagi. I know I've been such a burden to you lately,"
Setsuna said, "I wish to thank you for staying my friend and trying to
help
me out, even after you found out what I was."

Eternal Sailor Moon grabbed Setsuna in a bear hug and said, "I
don't
care if your a machine, Setsuna. You've helped us out without
complaint.
Don't tell me it was just programming that made you become friends with
my
daughter. Once we get your staff back, we'll find some way to free
you. As
well as find something to reward you with."

Still being hugged, Setsuna replied, "Usagi, I don't think you
can
free me by normal means. That vague prophecy Selene told me is the key
to
my freedom. Please don't try anything until we figure out the
prophecy."

With tears streaming down her face, Usagi nodded and said, "Okay,
Setsuna. If that is the way you want it."

"I'm sorry, Usagi-chan. I know you don't want to be my master,
but
until we figure out what Selene had in mind for me, it's better that I
remain your slave."

Mizuhara and Ura watched the two girls conversing. Ura was
distracted
by a silver butterfly that had flown in front of him. Mizuhara felt
sad
that his beloved Ifurita's sister was still a puppet and he could do
nothing
about it. Sailor Moon, knowing that Setsuna wanted to see her sister
and
Mizuhara wanted to be rejoined with his lover, had ordered Setsuna to
give
Mizuhara the files for the Eye-of-God. With the files, Mizuhara would
easily be able to figure out how to operate the Eye. He was a bit
suprised
that Sailor Moon had to order Setsuna to turn over the files, but he
remembered that without a direct command, that Setsuana was unable to
access the files. Studying the files he wondered how the others were
doing.

Skimming across the sea in an El-Hazardian skiff, the group that
was
dispacthed to the Forbidden Isle was having a discussion.

"So in your world, you fought monsters?" asked Afura Mann, the
preistess of wind.

Haruka nodded and said, "Yes. We have had various types of
beings
trying to take over our world. The worst was Galaxia, when she was
possesed
by Chaos."

Ami added, "We have had some pertty close calls though, even
before
Galaxia showed up. The enemies always were stronger than the ones
before.
The Sailor Senshi, even though some were really close, defeated them."

"There's something I've been meaning to ask," Afura said, "You
listed
all the planets in your system as having Sailor Senshi, except one.
Why
doesn't Earth have a Senshi guardian?"

Ami calmly explained, "Usagi's husband, Mamoru Chiba or Endymion
is
the Earth's guardian. If you recall from our conversations at the
palace,
the Senshi have the starseeds of the planets they guard. Endymion has
the
golden starseed that represents Earth. And to answer your next
question, I
don't know how Setsuna got the starseed that represents Pluto."

"I can't believe that there was a Demon-god that wasn't used for
conquest," Afura said, "Why are we heading to the Forbidden Isle?
Ifurita
isn't there anymore."

Ami replied, "We're not after Ifurita, but the suspension device
that
she was stored in. If it comes down to it, we'll probably have to put
Setsuna in suspension until we get the Garnet Orb Staff back."

Afura looked towards the front of the skiff and noticed that they
were
fast approaching a barren island. She alerted her two traveling
companions
to the upcoming landmass. Ami and Haruka nodded and helped Afura
shorten
the sails. The three women brought the skiff safely to rest on the
shore of
the Forbidden Isle. Once the trio had the skiff safely secured, Ami
touched her earring and summoned her visor. The transparent blue visor
covered her eyes, allowing Sailor Mercury to scan the surrounding
terrain.

Afura looked at Ami and shook her head; she said, "That still
gets to
me how she can summon stuff from nowhere like that."

Grinning wickedly Haruka asked, "Like this?" while pulling the
Space
Sword out of its dimensional pocket.

Blinking at the sudden appearance of a sword, Afura could only
take a
few steps back and say, "huh?"

"It is a standard ability of Sailor Senshi, Afura-san," Ami said,
"All
of the Senshi can summon something from a sub-space pocket. Some of us
just
have more stuff in it than others."

Afura just shook her head and said, "Let's get going. The shrine
where Ifurita was stored is just up ahead."

The three girls proceeded towards the ruined shrine. Ami kept
using
her visor to make sure there were no dangers. Haruka and Afura walked
on
either side of Sailor Mercury, protecting her. Soon, the rubble pile
that
marked the entrance to Ifurita's shrine came in view. Looking at the
pile
of rocks, Ami just nodded to Haruka.

Grinning, Sailor Uranus shouted, "WORLD SHAKING!!" and slammed a
yellow energy sphere with a ring around it into the ground.

The yellow sphere zig-zagged through the ground and lifted off of
the
ground. The sphere smahed into the rubble pile, blasting a hole
straight
through the rocks. The hole that Uransu created exposed the entrance
to the
shrine. Afura Mann, even though she knew Haruka didn't need one, felt
a little
bit awed by the fact that Sailor Uranus didn't need a talisman to
activate her attack.
The three girls enterd the tunnel leading to the shrine of the Demon-
god Ifurita.
Unnoticed by the trio, the magic attack of Sailor Uranus interacted wth
some of the
stones strangely. The affected stones pulsed orange and yellow.

In another part of El-Hazard, the group sent to track down the
bugrom
and retrieve Setsuna's key were tracking the bugrom trail through a
forest. After,
a day's journey, Nanami looked at Makoto in disgust and envy.

"Sailor Jupiter, how can you stand being in that costume?" Nanami
asked, " I have insect bites on my arms and face. Yet, your not
bothered by
them."

Nanami started rubbing her left arm to alleviate an itch.

Sailor Jupiter replied, "I felt them trying to bite me but they
haven't succeeded yet. The costume is only part of the transformation.
I
feel stronger and tougher when I'm Sailor Jupiter."

Mr Fujisawa said, "Nanami, why don't you save your questions,
until
you can talk to Sailor Mercury again. If I remember correcty from what
I
overheard some students say, she would have the answers to your
question."

Nanami just nodded and said, "Okay teach."

Shayla Shayla walked forward with a stern look on her face, but
she
felt a wet tightness at the corner of her eyes. She thought about the
green
haired android that had entered their lives.

Mumbling under her breath so the others couldn't hear, Shayla
said,
"Lousy Demon-god. Since she showed up, Makoto is more determined than
ever
to rescue Ifurita. Theese Sailor Senshi have ruined any chance that I
had
with Makoto."

Nanami thought to herself, *Makoto, I can't believe I lost you to
a
machine. Now, I'm now helping her sister out, who also happens to be
Sailor
Pluto. What other strange things will this world throw at us."

Miz Mishtal walked closer to Mr. Fujisawa. When she was close
enough,
whe grabbed his left arm and leaned her head on his shoulder. Mr.
Fujisawa
for his part looked uncomfortable. Nanami noticed this and just
smirked to
herself.

Taking a glance at Mr Fujisawa, Makoto Kino thought *For some
reason
he does not remind me of my sempai. It's probably because he's a
teacher."

The group tracked Jinnai's trail to a clearing where the Bugrom
split
up. The four people accompanying Sailor Jupiter just looked at each
other,
remembering Jinnai's perfered mode of transport. Makoto looked at the
other
four and she waited for them to explain what had happened.

Miz, since she was the most senior, explained, "Jinnai must have
ridden one of the Bugrom out of this clearing and sent the others in
different directions so we wouldn't be able to follow. I'm sorry, but
I
think he's managed to elude us."

Makoto swore heavily and then asked, "Look, what would be the
safest
place for Jinnai to go that would be the most inaccessable to us?"

Shayla snorted and said, "That would be the Rivilon cliffs. The
bugs
could climb down the cliffs with ease, but the high winds and almost
vertical slopes make it impossible for even Afura to fly through the
area."

Sailor Jupiter asked, "Which way are the cliffs? I'll check them
out
while the rest of you figure out where else he could go."

"The cliffs are three kilometers to the east," Miz said, "But,
it's
impossible for a human to go through the area."

Jupiter said, "I'll be fine. If that madman is there I'll find a
way
to get Setsuna's staff back."

Waving, Sailor Jupiter set off towards the Rivilon cliffs.
Shayla
Shayla, ithcing for some action, decide to tag along. The remainder of
the
group sat down and tried to figure out where else Jinnai could have
gone. A
rumbling sound, coming from the sky, caused the three to look up and
notice
an approaching storm. Nanami spotted a somewhat intact ruins that
could be
used for shelter. The aincent building had a couple holes in its walls
and
gave the vauge impression of an airport lighthouse. The trio ducked
inside
the building as the first drops of rain fell.

Sailor Jupiter and Shayla Shayla ignored the storm and contiued
on to
the Rivilon Cliffs. They arruved at the edge of the cliff and looked
down.
A mournful wind whipped through the chasm, which was as deeper than the
Grand Canyon on Earth. Jupiter turned to face Shayla.

"So this is the Rivilon Cliffs?" Makoto asked.

Shayla just nodded and looked down into the dark gulf of the
canyon.

Sailor Jupiter scanned the edge of the cliff and pointed, while
saying, "It looks like Miz-san was right. I can see bug tracks on the
cliff
walls. Now, I'm going to follow them and get that staff back."

Shayla snorted and said, "How? Flight is impossible in this wind
and
the cliffs are sheer drop-offs."

Makoto walked along the lip of the cliff until she found a fold
in the
cliff face. The walls of the fold were about four meters apart. She
nodded
becuase this fold would do. Makoto crossed her arms and raised the
antenae
on her tiara.

*I wish Ami was here, so she could figure out the exact
trajectories,*
Jupiter thought to herself and then yelled, "SUPREME THUNDER!!!"

Sailor Jupiter angled three bolts of lightning into the cliff
fold.
The bolts ricocheted back and forth down the fold, leaving small holes
where
they struck. Shayla had covered her ears when the green clad Sailor
Senshi
had fired off her attack. Once the rumbling had ceased, the fire
preistess
uncovered her ears.

Looking a liitle annoyed, Shayla asked, "What the hell did you do
that
for!?"

Makoto smirked slightly and went over to the fold and started
climbing
down the cliff, using the holes she blasted in the cliffface as
handholds
and footholds.

Looking back up at Shayla, she said, "Making a way down.
Coming?"

Shayla Shayla just growled and followed Sailor Jupiter down the
cliff.

Back in the ruins, the small group, that had taken refuge there,
were
looking around the building. Mr. Fujisawa was sitting, leaned up
against a
wall. Miz was looking out a window, sighing since Nanami was here and
she
couldn't be alone with Mr. Fujisawa. Nanami for her part, was looking
around curiously at the building.

"Say, Sensei ," Nanami said, "What do you suppose this building
was
used for?"

Looking around, Fujisawa said, "I 'm not sure. It looks something
like
an airport lighthouse. Miz?"

Miz thought about the old legends before replying, "I'm not sure.
This building isn't located where any of the ancient cities were. It
also
doesn't look like anything depicted in any of the surviving texts."

"Well, since were waiting for Shayla and Sailor Jupiter to get
back,
let's explore. It will at least pass the time," Nanami said and then
thought, *Maybe there is something of value here.*

Mr. Fujisawa sighed, got up, and said, "Okay. I guess we should
find
out about this place, but we're all staying together."

Miz sighed at a wasted opportunity and said, "I guess your right.
I
am curious about this place."

The group searched the bottom floor and found some old devices
that
they would have Mizuhara look at when he could. They found a staircase
leading up to the second level. The trio climbed the stairs and came
upon
a library of ancient books. Miz was stunned by what she was seeing.

"This is impossible. I thought all the ruins were picked over by
now.
This library alone should have been looted a long time ago."

Nanami eagerly picked up a book and opened it. She glanced
inside the
book and frowned because she was unable to read the words. Sighing,
she
remembered that El-Hazard used a different writing system than she was
used
to. Even though she was starting to learn the modern writing system,
she
still could not make out what was written in the book she held.

"Miz, could you please translate this book?" Nanami said "I
can't
and it appears to be in Ancient El-Hazard."

Miz nodded and took the book from Nanami, curious about its
contents.
She looked at the page that Nanami tried to read and was suprized that
she
couldn't understand it either.

"Huh? What language is this? All the high priestesses are
required to
know all the ancient languages of El-Hazard, but I can't read this
book."

Curious Mr. Fujisawa came over and looked at the text that had
stumped
Miz and Nanami. The written text didn't look like anything he had seen
in
El-Hazard so far, but...

"That's Ancient Greek," Mr. Fujisawa blurted out, "I can't read
it,
but I can identify it and some of the older languages."

Mr. Fujisawa started looking through the books on the shelves.
The
languages that the books were written in were mostly in Ancient Greek
with
some works in Coptic thrown in. After a few minutes he stopped and put
the
books back on the shelves, in their respective order. Once he was
done, he
stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"These book are written in language that haven't been used for
centuries on Earth. I can only think of one person, right off hand,
who
would use these languages."

The two girls looked stunned and said unanimously, "SELENE?!?!"

Nanami quickly recovered and said, "If this place was used by
her,
then there might be something here to help Setsuna."

Miz and Mr. Fujisawa nodded and the trio set off again to try and
find
something that they could use to help Setsuna. The group climbed to the
third floor and entered a white chamber, where there were two tables
with
humanoid indentations in them. Frowning, Miz took a closer look at the
tables. She saw that the tables were meant to restrain a human or
something
shaped like a human. Mr. Fujisawa looked around and found some
electronic
tools. Nanami wandered around the circular chamber, while running her
hand
against the wall. She suddenly stopped when she heard a distinct
click.
Hearing the click, the other two looked towards the source of the
sound.
Nanami's face had gone pale, for she wondered if she set off a trap. A
few
tense seconds later a small section of the wall opened up, revealing a
small
alcove. Inside the alcove was a small box with a lens mounted on one
side
and a big red button on the top. The red button had the words 'Push
Me'
boldly written in English. Nanami took a look at Mr. Fujisawa, who
nodded,
and pushed the button. The box hummed for a second and then a beam of
light
sprang forth from the lens. A three dimensional picture of a silver
haired
woman had appeared. Nanami carefully set the box down on one of the
tables,
since her hands were shaking and was causing the picture to shake as
well.

The hologram started speaking, "Greetings. I am Selene. This
box is
a holographic recording of who I once was and why I did certain things
that
I regret and am truly ashamed of."

Miz, Nanami, and Mr. Fujisawa were shocked, to say the least.
Here
they had found a record of ancient El-Hazard that had to do with their
current situation. Nanami started getting a creepy feeling that this
person
knew they would find that box.

Looking extremely sad, with tears forming in her eyes, Selene
whispered, "The one thing I truly and thoroughly regret and despise is
what
I did to my daughters."

The three people watching the hologram, tried to decide if they
had
heard that or not.

Looking up, Selene said, "This holocube will show you three
dimensional pictures of my past. I do not ask for forgiveness only
understanding."

The trio looked on as the box played.

Chapter 10

The holocube focused in on a small cottage in the Ancient Greek
countryside. The countryside was covered in ice and a blazing comet
was in
the sky. the scene shifted towards a girl who was recognized as
Selene.

Looking up at the sky, Selene saw the blazing comet that was
keeping the world frozen in ice. She was about to use the silver
crystal
that she had just formed, when she felt someone strike her from behind.
Selene was momentarily dazed and when she brought her eyes into focus
again she saw that her mother, father and husband were standing apart
from her. Selene's mother, Pandora, stood between her husband and her
son-in-law. The two men had grasped each others hands with Pandora
standing in the middle of their arms.

Selene cried, "What are you doing? It's my crystal; I should be
the one to take the risk."

"No, daughter. You will be needed later," Pandora said, "We will
send this Snow Queen back into the depths of space."

"But, mother if you use that crystal, you'll die," Selene
protested.

"I know that as does your father and husband. Why do you think
we
took it from you. We're not going to let you die," Pandora replied

"That's right, Selene. Your father, Epimetheus, and I will help
your mother fight back the Snow Queen. Your the only one that can raise
our children well."

"THESEUS!!" Selene screamed, "Please don't."

"Take care of our son and daughter, dear," Theseus said and the
addressed someone who came up behind Selene, "Hephaetus, please keep
her
from interfering."

As she felt her uncle grab her shoulders, Selene cried,
"no.no.no.
Please don't."

While holding the Silver Crystal aloft, Pandora said, "Let's get
to it. Combine our magic."

All at once the three of them yelled, "SILVER CRYSTAL POWER!!"

A huge beam of light burst from the crystal and struck the icy
comet. The two men concentrated even further throwing their entire
life-force into the blast. The silvery beam increased in power. From
the
depths of the comet an icy voice crackled.

"Ahhhh. I will leave this planet for now, but I will place upon
your world my curse of hopelessness. May the people of this planet
always know they will die a horrible death and anything they do will
make their death even more horrible. Hahahaha. I will be back in a
couple of thousand years to claim this world," The Snow Queen said

The icy comet veered away from the Earth as a black mist started
falling towards the planet. Pandora saw used the crystal to gather up
the mist to try and prevent it from infecting the planet. The silvery
light gathered up all the mist and held it in a ball. Pandora used up
the last of her life-force to form the ball and collapsed. Hephaetus
was
stunned momentarily, just long enough for Selene to break free from his
grasp. Selene ran to her dying family to see if there was anything she
could do. A loud crack was heard from the silver ball. Selene looked
up
and saw that the mist was going to get out. She picked up the crystal
and used only a fraction of its power to channel the mist into a
specific receptacle, herself. After the mist was fully absorbed,
Selene
went to her mother who was still barely alive.

"Mother. Why? It was my risk," Selene cried

Pandora weakly got out, "Your to important to us, daughter. Do
you
know what you just did? You have cursed yourself. You will see nothing
but your death."

Selene tearfully said," No, mother. Not exactly. What I have
done
to myself was to absorb all the mist. I have been cursed with the
Foreboding. I can see what will happen if I take certain actions. Not
just my death. I...I...I will use this curse to defeat the emissaries
of Chaos. After the children are grown, I will have to begin my great
work if there is to be any freedom from Chaos."

Reaching a hand up to brush away her daughter's tears, Pandora
said, "I understand daughter. Please take care of yourself."

After saying her final words, Pandora died. The bodies of the
trio, who had faced the Snow Queen, were outlined by a silvery light
and
then they faded away. Selene collapsed into her uncle's arms weeping.
Hephaetus looked at where his sister had faded away and held onto his
niece. He looked down upon his niece and spoke softly.

"I don't know if it will mean anything, but I'll teach you my
craft. Even though it is against Atlateean law," Hephaetus said.

"Thank you, uncle, but won't you get into trouble for
teaching a woman?" Selene asked, while sniffing back the tears.

Picking up the silver crystal gingerly, he replied, "It is
obvious
you have the talent, and if I had taught you, my sister would still be
alive. I no longer care about those stupid laws. Once we get back to my
shop, you are going to make a golden version of this crystal. One that
isn't so dangerous to its user."

Selene looked at her uncle, then got a distant look in her eyes,
and said, "All right, uncle. This is something I should do. I will
also
need time to learn how to sort through my new ability."

Selene looked back towards where her family had faded and said,
"Mother will be remembered for either releasing evil into the world as
well as hope, or she will be remembered for slamming the lid shut on
the
worst evil that mankind would have known."

Selene straightened her shoulders and walked back towards her
home. Hephaetus watched his niece walk away. On his face was a
confused
expression as he followed his niece back.

The image from the holocube faded and winked out.

Nanami's feeling of creepiness returned full force, because she
realized that Selene could see what would happen and she had probably
know
what was happening now. Nanami also felt like crying, because of what
Selene had gone through. Miz and Mr. Fujisawa were hugging each other;
each
trying to comfort the other.

Looking out an upper story window, Nanami said, "The rain's
stopped."

Nodding, the couple went down the stairs holding hands. Nanami
hesitated for a second and then picked up the cube, taking it with her.
She
realized that the Sailor Senshi would want to see it as well, since it
was a
part of their history.

Chapter 11

Climbing down the cliffs of Rivillion, Shayla Shayla and Sailor
Jupiter scanned the cliff face where they saw the Bugrom tracks. The
two
saw that the tracks went all the way to the bottom of the chasm.
Shayla
Shayla yelled down to Jupiter, trying to be heard over the moaning
wind.

"NO ONE HAS BEEN DOWN THIS FAR BEFORE!!!" Shayla yelled, "I HAVE
NO
IDEA WHAT WE'LL FIND DOWN HERE!!!"

"AS LONG AS IT'S SETSUNA'S STAFF, I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT ELSE
WE'LL
FIND!!!" Makoto yelled back, "SAVE YOUR BREATH FOR CLIMBING. IT'S KIND
OF
HARD TO TALK YELLING AT EACH OTHER AT THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS!!!!"

Shayla just nodded and the two girls proceeded on down the cliff
face.
They finally reached the bottom of the crevasse. The area down in the
chasm
was covered in a somewhat murky light and the howling wind had faded.
Since
the sun could only penetrate this far down during the noon hours, a
forest
had arisen down here with trees that gave off a phosphorescent glow.
Shayla
examined the forest and smirked.

"So this is Jinnai's new hangout," Shayl muttered

Makoto scanned the cliff face where the Bugrom tracks were and
saw
that they went into the forest. Sighing, she motioned for Shayla to
follow
her. The fire priestess nodded and followed the green clad Senshi.
The two
girls stealthily creeped through the glowing woods. The two girls
heard
maniacal laughing come from up ahead. Looking at each other, Shayla
and
Makoto snuck a bit closer, trying to overhear what was being said.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Those foolish priestesses and my idiot teacher
can
never make it down here. It would take at least a Demon-god to get to
us
now, and by the time she got through that mess she would be almost
completely ran down, easy to get control of. Either way, all I have to
do
is wait," said a voice that Shayla recognized as Jinnai.

A female voice piped up, "I am impressed, Mr. Jinnai. We have a
new
base in whcih we can conquer the allied kingdoms and if you're correct
we
will have a new weapon to be used against them."

Jinnai started ranting again, "This time, Mizuhara I will be
victorious, and there's nothing you can do about it."

Makoto looked over at Shayla and whispered, "Is he always like
that?"

"Yes," Shayla said, "I think it's time to go get that stafff
back,
don't you?"

Jupiter nodded, whilke she crept closer. Once she saw where the
staff
was and where all her opponents were, she opened her right hand. A
glowing
green stylized 4 appeared in Sailor Jupiter's hand and energy rolled
around
it.

"JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!!" Sailor Jupiter yelled while spinning
like a
top.

Lighting formed around Jupiter ans shot towards the various
Bugrom,
missing Diva and Jinnai. The lightning display caught Jinnai
flatfooted.
Shayla quickly ran forwards and snatched up the staff and hit Jinnai
over
the head with it, knocking him out. She looked at Diva and gave her a
wicked grin. Diva backed up, not wanting to risk a fight with the fire
priestess. Making sure Diva wouldn't follow, Shayla Shayla went over
to
Sailor Jupiter, who by now had zorched quite a few Bugrom.

"We've got what we came for. Let's get out of here," Shayla
said.

Nodding, Sailor Jupiter joined her and they both ran for the fold
in
the cliff. The two girls quickly made it back to the cliff face that
they
had climbed down. Taking a look around to make sure that the Bugrom
were
not around, the duo used the handholds created by Makoto's Supreme
Thunder
to climb back up the cliff face.

Back at the Bugrom camp, Jinnai had woken up, about ten minutes
after
being clonked on the head. As he recalled the fight he figured out who
had
attacked him and his Bugrom.

"That was Sailor Jupiter. What was she doing here?" Jinnai
wondered
aloud, "If she was one of the girls that had accompanied that new
Demon-god,
could...."

Jinnai's speech trailed off as he recalled the only Sailor Senshi
to
ever weild a staff. He grinned as he realised who the new Demon-god
was.
Looking around, he noticed that his troops had recovered from jupiter's
attack.

"Follow those two girls and get that staff back!! Once I have it
and
her, I'll be able to use her to control time itself!!" Jinnai yelled.

Quenn Diva came up to Jinnai and asked, "Who is Sailor Jupiter,
Mister
Jinnai?"

"She's from an anime in my world called Sailor Moon. It appears
that
the new Demon-god is also a Sailor Senshi as well. Her main power was
control over time itself. With her, I can rewrite the history of El-
Hazard
and have control of not only her, but Ifurita as well," Jinnai ranted

Jinnai quickly leaped on top of Groucho's back and yelled at the
Bugrom, "Come on, faster! We don't want ot let those two wenches get
away
from us!"

Groucho, with Jinnai riding him, led the Bugrom war party that
would
try and re-steal the Garnet Orb Staff.

Chapter 12


Makoto Mizuhara was anxiously pacing back and forth on the top of
the
Eye of God. Using the knowledge in Setsuna's memory, he could charge
Ifurita's staff with enough dimensional energy to open a portal to
where
she was at. The staff needed two hours to charge up enough for the
jump.

"This is maddening. I'm so close to her, but I have to wait to
go,"
Mizuhara said to no one in paticular.

Looking at her sister's love, Setsuna replied, "Have patience,
Makoto-
kun. Ifurita won't be waiting long. The jump should place you about a
couple of hours after you were sent to this world. Remember, she
waited
ten-thousand years for you. I think you can wait another hour."

Sighing, Makoto said, "Your right. It's just that I miss her so
much."

"I know," replied Setsuna

Usagi spoke up, "Maybe we need something to pass the time while
were
waiting. Setsuna could you please acces any memories that you have on
how
you aquired a star-seed and tell us how."

"Whew, I'll try Usagi. I'm a little curious myself, since that
part
of my memory has been blocked off."

Closing her eyes, Setsuna looked through her directory to find
any
refrences to her star-seed. She wondered through the virtual room of
spheres, hunting for one that looked right. She came accross one that
glowed with a purple light. Setsuna felt her obedience circut kick in
and
drive her towards the sphere. She realized that this sphere held the
answer
to Usagi's question. She touched the sphere and let the memories flow
into
her virtual self. Once the flow had stopped, Setsuna opened her eyes
and
looked at her master.

"I've accesed the memory file, Usagi," Setsuna said blankly,
"I'll now
tell you how I accquired it."

Usagi shuddered and said, "Setsuna, please. I want my friend to
tell
me not an emotionless machine."

Hearing those words, Setsuna shifted back into her normal mode

"Sorry, Usagi. That is something the both of us are going to
have to
get used to. Well, I guess I should tell you now before my circuit
kicks
in. It started bck near the end of the Silver Millenium., in the
throne
room of King John..."

<flashback>
Selene walked into the throne room of King John of Earth,
accompanied
by Sailor Pluto. Selene examined the king. John was an impressive
specie,
standing over his subjects with his five foot seven inch height. The
king
noticed the newcomer to his throne room and his faced blanched in
recognition. He nodded to his guards to clear the throne room of
everyone
except himself and the two women who had just entered. He took a deep
breath before speaking to Selene

"Selene. I thought you were dead since no one has seen you in
fifty
years," John said, "What brings you to my kingdom."

"Fifty years?" Selene muttered under her breath and then
continued
aloud, "Well your son saw me a few years back, although he doesn't
remember
it. As to why I came, I need your help to do something, your majesty."

"I'll listen to your request if you tell me about Endymion's
meeting
with you was about", the King replied.

"Oh, about a tenth of a run of sand," Selene joked and then
continued
in a more serious tone of voice, "His meeting with me was so that he
would
be doing something that had to be done. It wasn't for me it was for
Setsuna, here."

The king had a puzzled look on his face, "Setsuna? You mean
Sailor
Pluto don't you?"

Selene said, "Yes, I do mean her. It was your son's destiny to
give
Setsuna her name. It also will allow Setsuna the ability to feel what
it is
like to be torn between love and duty. Which I fell will be necessary
for
her to grow."

"So, she really is a machine. Sort of like that clock from
China,"
King John said while pointing at a small cuckoo clock.

Selene jerked back in suprise and asked, "How did you know?"

John smiled and said, "I guessed, but it was fairly obvious that
Sailor....sorry. Setsuna didn't act like a normal person. You? Your
reactions are understandable, but hers were not. I think I already
know the
answer but who built her? "

"I did," Selene admitted, "After I brought her here, I have been
doing
modifications to her to prepare her for what she will have to do. That
is
the reason we're both here I need to make the last few modifications to
Setsuna before I face Sehkmet tomorrow."

"Sehkmet? So it's almost over isn't it?" John said, with a
heavy
sigh, "The Moon Kingdom? My kingdom? All of it?"

Selene looked at the king curiously.

"Oh, don't be so suprised. Your not the only one who can predict
the
future," John said, "Although, I have yet to see anyone match your
ability."

"I see. You have been practicing divination magics haven't you?"
Selene asked

The king acknowledged it with a nod, looked at Sailor Pluto and
said,
"Judging by the way you treat her, I feel like I should ask. You must
be
proud of your daughter, Selene?"

Selene nodded and said, "Yes I am, but I do have regrets. If only
I
could have brought her sister along with us?'

John snorted, "The world is full of 'If only's'. No can know what
might have been."

"Your wrong, your majesty," Selene smiled sadly, "That is my
power
and curse. I know what would have happened if I had done something
differently. I can see all the paths my life can take and the
repercussions
that will occur if I choose one line over another"

King John looked at Selene with a mixture of horror and pity and
said,
"I am sorry. I didn't know. Since you have revealed this to me, please
answer my question. What is the path that you have chosen?"

Selene closed her eyes and said, "The path I chose is the one
that
forces me to sacrifice almost everything that could bring me happiness.
I've had to consign my daughters to slavery so that they can enjoy
lasting
happiness later. I loathe myself for doing that. I can't even spend
time
with them. I told your son about why old Atlas chose Setsuna, but I
didn't
tell him that I could only see my daughter at most three days in
decade."

"Selene..", John said, pausing he shook his head before
contiuing,
"Selene, your also under another curse now. You are starting to lose
track
of time. From my divinations Setsuna took up the guardianship a bit
more
than two thousand years ago."

"Hmm. I guess your right," Selene said and then giggled, "I
think
living for seven thousand years will do that to a person."

John looked at Selene strangely, "I've heard many stories about
you,
Selene. One of the constant themes is that you are unable to laugh."

Selene sighed and with a faraway look in her eye and said, "My
ability
to foretell the future has taken something from me, Prester John. I am
unable to feel the emotion of hope. Even the most depressed person on
this
planet can feel hope. I cannot. That is the price of my ability to
see the
future."

John shuddered and said, "Let's change the subject, shall we.
What is
the help you require of me and exactly how are you going to modify
Setsuna?"

"Well, one of the first modifications I'm going to make is give
her a
one shot battery, that will allow her to complete the mission I
programmed
into her. Setsuna please turn around."

Setsuna complied with the order and mechanically turned around.
Selene clenched her right hand into a fist. Arounf her fist a silver
aura
begn to glow. As she unclenched her hand, a small, fat, silver
cylinder was
revealed. Selene raised the back of Setsun'a skirt to reveal the key
access
port. Once she had revealed that, Selene plugged the cylinder into the
key port. The cylinder made a perfect fit, and ste flush with the skin
of
Sailor Pluto. Nodding in satisfaction, Selene let the skirt fall.

Selene explained, "Part one is done. That silver disk will give
Setsuna the power to complete her journey, until she is wound up by her
new
master."

John, confused, asked, "How? The disk blocks the keyhole."

"The disk will slowly disolve into the air as it is used. By the
time, her desginated master shows up the disk will have vanished."

Shaking his head, John said, "Okay, I guess I underestimated you.
Well, what's part two?"

"Giving Setsuna a star-seed," Selene said flatly

"O..kay. Where are you going to get one?"

"This is why I need your help. I can modify an existing star-
seed for
her, but it has to be removed from the host," Selene said, while
holding a
pair of golden bracelets, "It will be placed right over her memory core
which is next to her obedience circuit."

"SELENE?!? You know what happens when a star-seed is taken form
a
person. I can't believe you would condone such a thing," John
exclaimed
shocked.

"The star-seed I have in mind is dying. It is either removed or
it
will fade forever, and it is one of the eternal ones at that."

Stunned, John whispered, "I didn't think anything could cause one
of
the eternals to fade."

"There is one thing," Selene said sadly, while donning the
braclets,
"John, you know the spell to remove a star-seed. I need you to cast
it."

"Err. Yes, I know it, but why can't you cast it?"

"I need to modify the star-seed and that will take a lot of my
concentration. There is another reason, though. Please go get your
scepter."

John confused and rattled by the conversation, fetched his
emerald
scepter. The three enormous gems, embedded in the top of it, glowed
with a
firey grren light. Prester John returned with his mace like talisman
and
prepared himself to do something that he didn't want to do.

"Selene?" Prester John asked nervously, "Just who's star-seed
are we
taking? There's only the three of us here and the only one who has
one......."

John's voice trailed off as he realized what Selene was about to
do.
Looking at John, Selene nodded sadly confirming what he had suspected.

"Yes, John. I intend to give Setsuna my star-seed. My powers
are
killing it, because I can feel no hope. This is the doom I foresaw.
After
the battle with Sehkmet, I will be totally annihilated. The
alterations
will prevent me from ever using that star-seed. The bracers, I'm now
wearing, will prevent me from fading away once it is removed. If it
wasn't
for my power....................DAMN YOU, ICE QUEEN!!!!!"

At Selene's shout, several guards rushed into the throne room.
King
John waved them all away, assuring them that he was all right. Selene
had
started crying and John didn't want anyone to see her like that. After
a
few minutes, Selene composed herself and nodded her grattitude to John.

"Thank you, John. I have always dreaded this day, but it is the
only
way to secure the future. Let's get to it."

Nodding, John silently raised his scepter and pointed it towards
Selene. A triple emerald bolt lanced out and struck Selene square in
the
chest. A grey eight sided gem came out of Selene. Once the gem was
removed, the bracers on her arms started glowing. Closing her eyes to
gather courage, Selene chanted her spell. The spell reacted with the
gem,
turning it purple. Once the color had changed, the gem was attarced to
the
android girl. Once the crystal had touched her, it merged with
Setsuna,
completing her modifications.

Slumping down exhausted, Selene tearfully whispered, "It is done.
Now, I must go and face Sehkmet, alone."

Prester John, looking down at his scepter, came to a decision.

"Selene, take this," Joh said while handing her the emerald
scpeter,
"It has taken somthing from you. I have taken something from you, that
can
never be replaced. It is only right that you should use this in your
final
battle. I want to make sure my son survives in some way."

"Thank you, John. Your son will survive, by being re-incarnated
along
with the one he loves. This scepter will allow me to weaken Sehkmet
enough
for your son's paramour to destroy her once and for all."

"Only weaken? I thought it would be enough to destroy her."

"It would be, but then Chaos would choose a champion that would
be to
tough for Sailor Moon to beat."

"Sailor Moon? You mean the moon princess will join the Senshi?"

"After she is re-incarnated, yes she will. It is the best
protection
for her. Her personality then, will be a clutzy, crybaby."

"I can't imagine the princess bing anything other than being calm
and
reagl."

"Which is why it will work," Selene said with a smirk, "She's
also the
one who will be Setsuna's new master."

Sighing sadly, Selene turned towards Setsuna and said, "You will
have
as much feedom as you desire when you have acheived being mother,
sister,
and daughter at once."

King John said, "That's not very informative."

"It will be, when the time comes," Selen whispered while hanging
her
head.

A silence fell over the two, neither knowing what to say next. A
sudden voice interrupted their musings.

"Just how will the scepter weaken Sehkmet?" Setsuna asked.

A smirk crossed Selene's face while she replied, "I will use the
scepter to tear Sehkmet asunder. I'll fire the scepter's gems into
Sehkmet.
Each gem will rocket off into another part of the universe. The gems
will
be corrupted; as the evil energy starts to grow, and each will form a
new
body for the portion that was torn away. The three will take their
names
from Sehkmet's. Se will become the Kaisen flower. Kh will become
Pharoh 90.
The remaining emerald will land closest to the moon kingdom. That one
will
form Metallia. The scepter itself will also be corrupted and bcome a
being
known as Madam Vadiane. Any of the chaotic energy left over, will be
collected by a Senshi to contain it. Of course the little battle,
between
Sehkmet and I, will cause the system's sun where the two of us will
meet to
explode."

"Do you really have to do this?" Setsuna asked

Taking her hand, Selene looked into Setsuna's eyes and said,
"Yes,
daughter I have to do this. To secure not only the future happiness of
the
people of this universe, but the happiness of you and your sister,
Ifurita.
You have your instructions programmed into you, follow them and please
take
care."

Setsuna nodded and raised her staff. With a flash of light she
had
disappeared from the throne room of Prester John.
<end flashback>

Closing her eyes, Setsuna addressed Usagi, "I never saw Selene
after
that. I remember the day the light from the exploding star reached
Earth,
confirming she was dead. It was one of the only times in my life that
I
cried. After I had cried, I felt my memories being sealed off
regarding
that event. I had certain information, but not what had happened.
Thanks
to you, I can remeber now"

It was very obvious, Setsuna was trying to hold back tears.
Usagi
went over to Setsuna and hugged her, to try and comfort her friend. As
she
recalled who Sehkmet was, she shuddered in horror at the thought of a
being
that had the combined strength of almost all her major foes. Still
holding
on to Setsuna she stared speaking.

"It's all right, Setsuna. I didn't know it would be that painful
for
you to recall."

Holding back tears, Setsuna replied, "No, Usagi. I want to
recall
this. I want to remember what Selene had sacrificed so that we would
be
happy."

Makoto Mizuhara was also trying to hold back tears. He realised
that
this Selene person cared very deeply about her daughters and only
cosigned
them to their fate becuase of her power. He hoped that he was what
would
make Ifurita happy.

Usagi asked Setsuna a question, "Why did she damn the Ice Queen?
What
did she do to Selene?"

Setsuna whispered, "I have no idea. I was never given that
information."

A beeping sound came from where Ifurita's staff was plugged into
the
Eye. Makoto went over to the stff and pulled it out. He looked at the
two
Senshi and started talking.

"I'll bring Ifurita back in about a minute of your time, but I
want
some time with her alone. I want to show her my world."

Usagi smiled, "You don't have to explain. Just please, come back
with
her so Ifurita and Setsuna can meet."

Makoto nodded as he gripped the staff. He closed his eyes and
used
his power to activate the staff's energy. A swirl of light started to
form
around him. Once the swirl started, he opened his eyes and held the
staff
like a flagpost, pointing straight up and down. He slowly faded from
view.
Makoto Mizuhara was on his way to Ifurita.

Chapter 13

The group that was sent to the Forbbiden Island had made it to
where
Ifurita was stored for so many centruries. The shrine still had large
boulders strewn about from where Ifurtia had blasted the walls.
Examining
the area, Ami noticed that the central area of the shrine was still
untouched. The Senshi of ice made her way closer to the dias in the
center
of the room.

"This is where Ifurita was kept in suspension?" Ami asked while
touching her earring to summon her visor.

Afura Mann nodded and said, "I believe so. I was outside
fighting
Bugrom when she awoke."

Ami nodded and started examing the suspension chamber. While she
was
gathering information, Haruka was busy looking at the walls. Seeing
the
damage that Ifurita had caused, she made a low whistle of appreciation.
A
slight sound alerted Haruka something was wrong. Pulling out her
sword,
Sailor Uranus turned twoards where the sound was and saw nothing.

"Who's there?" Haruka demanded, while staring in the direction
of the
sound.

Afura Mann looked at Haruka oddly. She scanned the area and saw
that
there was no one there, bu then a sudden thought crept into her mind.
Afura
Mann took out her talisman and activated it, to have access to her
powers.
Haruka, remembering a snippet about a phantom tribe, closed her eyes
and
let her ears due the sensing for her. Ami took a glance over at her
two
companions and, through her visor, saw that someone was about to stab a
kinfe in Haruka's back.

"Haruka!! Behind you!!!" Ami yelled

Haruka turned around swiftly with a yell, "SPACE SWORD BLASTER!!"

The Space Sword shot its energy blast forward and as soon as it
hit a
certian area a figure of smoke appeared and then dissipated. Ami
scanned
the area and saw at least four more grey skinned humanoids. Seeing
that
they were in a cluster, Ami fired off one of her attacks.

"SHINING AQUA ILLUSION!!" Ami yelled as her attack enveloped the
four
Phantom Tribe memberes in ice.

Afura felt kind of superfulous upon seeing the two Senshi defeat
five
Phantom Tribe members. She shook her head and decided to ask about the
Senshi powers later.

"Sailor Mercury, what have you found out about Ifurita's shrine?"
Afura asked.

Ami, slightly stratled by the question, replied, "Oh. The dias
is
actually a sophisticated suspension device. It holds a Demon-god in
suspension while enough energy is injected into the Demon-god to keep
the
memories and awareness intact." Pointing at some barely visible
writing,
she contiued, "I found some refrences, in some of these runes, that a
Demon-
god can be brought back from total wind down if enough energy is pumped
into
her, before being wound back up."

"So, Setsuna is not in danger if she completely winds down?"
Haruka
asked.

Ami shook her head, "No, that isn't what I meant. If Setsuna
completely winds down, it would take a mssive energy burst to restart
her.
Knowing Usagi, she would use the silver crystal to jump start Setsuna."

"Silver crystal? Is it really that powerful?"

The two Senshi looked at Afura Mann

Ami replied, "Yes it is. Those stunts that you heard actually
happened. The crystal is very powerful, but that's not why were here."

Haruka raised an eyebrow, "Oh? What exactl are we going to do?
We
can't bring Pluto here becuase of those Phantom Tribe people."

Ami said, "The dias is the only machine here and it only extends
two
meters down. Haruka if you would be so kind as to use your sword to
cut the
dias free of the attaching floor?"

Shrugging, Sailor Uranus plunged the Space Sword into the ground
and
cut around the platform that the Suspension device was stored in. As
soon
as she was done, Ami used her Aqua Illusion to raise the platform free
of
the floor by firing into the gap made by Haruka. Once the dias was
totaly
clear, Ami started forming small hills on one side of the device and a
pathway in fron of it, to send it sliding towards the exit. Sailor
Mercury
kept forming paths and mounds to push the device all the way outside.
All
the while Ami had her visor activated, making sure there were no hidden
dangers. The trio of girls made it back outside with no problem.
Afura
glanced over at Sailor Mercury.

"How are you going to get that back to Roshtaria? It can't fit
in the
flyer," Afura asked

"Ice floats," Ami said, "We'll use the flyer as propulsion for an
ice
barge that will be big enough for the suspension device. I know I'm
going
to have to make repairs to the device once we make it to Roshtaria."

Ami used her ice attacks to form a ship like structure made of
ice.
The back of the ship was open to allow the device easy access. Ami,
using
the Illusion attack raised the ice level furthes away from the ship up,
forcing the device to slide right on into the ice barge. Once the
device
was on board, Mercury formed a wall right behind the device, to prevent
it
from falling out. Afura got on board the flyer and landed it on the
ice
barge. She waited until the two Sneshi had boarded the flyer and
Haruka had
cut the barge free of the ice that was on the beach. Afura started the
flyer, but instead of lifting off, she sent it forwards. The flyer
started
forwards, but the barge didn't.

"Oops, forgot," Ami said, andd as soon as the flyer had
repositioned
itself she forze the bottom of the craft to the ice ship.

This time the barge moved forwards with the flyer providing its
propulsion. During the trip, Ami kept using Shabon Spray Freezing to
keep
the ice from melting and not add to the ice already there.

*Hold on, Setsuna. We're coming,* Ami thought.

Chapter 14

Makoto drifted through the dimensioanl barrier. He knew that he
would
be soon see Ifurita again. He thought of all the things he wanted to
show
her and then bring her back to meet her sister.

*I'm coming Ifurita,* Makoto thought as a warm smile crossed his
face

Makoto felt the swirl of energy fade and slowly he saw the
outside of
his school fade into being. The staff had brought him right to
Ifurita. He
saw her running towards him with joy and love in her eyes. She reached
out
with a hand which Makoto grabbed. Ifurita ran up to him and puut her
head
on his chest, hoping he wasn't a dream.

"Makoto.....," Ifurita said tearfully, "I thought that I would
never
see you again. Please don't be a dream."

"I'm no dream Ifurita," Makoto said, "I'm here for you. Your
weak
please turn around. I don't want to lose you either."

Ifurita complied, even though she wanted to hold on to Makoto.
Once
she had turned around, Makot inserted Ifurita's key into her and wound
her
back up. Ifurita felt her spring being wound back up and let the link
form
between her and Makoto. Even though, her obedience circuit was long
since
destroyed, she could still feel the person who had last wound her up.
Makoto stopped and removed the staff. Ifurita turned and ran back into
Makoto's arms, where she recieved a big hug from her love.

"Ifurita I'd like to show you around my world for a little bit,
before
we head back to El Hazard," Makot said

"I'd like that," the aincent Demon-god said and then asked, "Back
to
El Hazard?"

"There is someone you will want to meet back there. We have some
time. Can you put your staff into some sort of sub-space pocket?"

Nodding, Ifurita caused her staff to vanish. After that was
done,
Makoto and Ifurita went to his house. Makot found some clothes that
would
fit the Demon-god as well as a jacket. The two lovers walked around
the
parks and beaches of the prefecture they were in. They finally stopped
and
sat underneath a tree to watch the ocean where the sun was setting.
After
the sun disappeared beyond the horizion, Makoto broke the silence.

"Ifurita, I think it is time for us to head back to El Hazard,"
Makoto
said, "I think your sister would want to meet you now."

Ifurita's head snapped up when that was said, "Sister? The only
sister I had vanished shortly after I was made. I never saw her in
the
Holy Wars. I could only assume she was never activated."

"Oh she was activated all right. She was sent to another
dimension,
where she acted as a protector, not a destroyer. Her current master is
trying to find a way to free her."

Ifurita closed her eyes as teardrops fell from them. She
wondered
what her sister was like and how her current master was treating her.

"My sister.....," Ifurita mumbled, "After all these millenia,
you've
appeared. I..I want to know you and maybe I can have a family outside
of
Makoto as well."

"Ifurita? Are you okay?'

"I'm fine dear Makoto. Let's go see my sister. I never even
knew her
name."

"Her name is Setsuna Meiou. Setsuna can also tell you about your
mother, far better than I can."

Ifurita said nothing as she summoned her staff from subspace.
Makoto
stood to her left as his arm reached arond her and gripped her right
shoulder. Ifurtia cuased a swirl of light to engulf the both of them
as
they went back to El- Hazard. The two of them faded out of Makoto's
Earth
and back into El Hazard. Ifurita's portal opene up back on El Hazard
two
minutes after Makoto had left. Ifurita's first sight upon her return
to El
Hazard was of a green haired woman that had her features. Her eyes
widened
as she saw her long lost sister after all this time. Ifurita collapsed
to
her knees and started crying. She saw her sister, Makoto, and a girl
with
blond hair done up in pony tails come towards her, all with concern in
thier
eyes.

"Are you okay sister?" asked Setsuna

Ifurita could only nod

"Setsuna, other than her eye and hair color, she looks like you,"
Usagi said startled.

"We were based off of Selene's appearnce after all, Usagi,"
Setsuna
replied, "Right now, I'm more concerend with my sisters crying."

"Sorry, Setsuna. It just cuaght me off guard that's all," Usagi
said
and then directed her words to Ifurita, "Take it easy. Your among
friends
and family."

Still crying, Ifurita said, "I don't know why I'm crying."

Usagi said, "It's natrual. Your crying becuase you're happy and
sad
at the same time. It's part of being human. Even though you have a
machine's body, you have a human soul just like Makoto, myself, or
Setsuna."

Setsuna spoke up, "Ifurita, I think I had better tell you about
myself
and my past. It shouldn't take long. Usagi while I'm communicating
with my
sister could you heal her of the damages that time did to her, please."

Usagi nodded, "Sure."

Setsuna kneeled in fron of her sister and put her a finger to
Ifurita's forehead. Both Demon-god's closed their eyes as Setsuna
uploaded
memories and data into Ifurita's memory modules. Ifurita returned the
compliment as she sent back her memories from the Holy Wars. While the
data
transfer was going on, Sailor Moon brought out the Eternal Tier and
charged
its healing power up. She direcetd the energy at Ifurita, which as
soon as
it touched her, restored all the won out parts and repaired the damages
that
time had done to her. The obedience circuit was excluded from the
healing
process due to the fact that it was totally incenerated by Makoto's
powers.

Once the transfer was complete, the two sisters opened their eyes
and
looked at each other.

"So, everything I went through was neccesarry to prevent an even
worse
evil from happening?" Ifurita asked.

Setsuna nodded saddly, "Yes. Don't blame our mother, she only
did
this because of her powers. What we went through and what she had to
endure
were for the greater good."

Ifurita looked down, thinking about her mother, and said, "It's
not
over."

Before Setsuna had a chance to reply, she felt and heard Usgai
scream.
The two androids and Makoto quickly turned and saw a vortex of darkness
surround Sailor Moon and drift into her.

#You cannot resist me. YOU shall be my new champion.#

*Nononononono*

#I'm invading your thoughts. There is no one you can trust, no
one at
all.#

*I can trust my friends. They've always been their for me*

#Have they now? You can't trust them because you became royalty
and
they can do things you can't#

#It's true and you know it. You're mine and there is no one you
can
trust enough to break you free.#

The trio watched as Usagi's hair and skin slowly became grey and
her
eyes became red. The voice that emmenated from Sailor Moon was oddly
triple
toned.

"At last I have a champion worthy of my powers and soon the
destruction
will begin."

"Leave her at once," Setsuna demanded, "Who are you that you can
take
over my friend like that ?"

"I am the incarnation of Despair. All the opponents that your
patheteic
Sailor Scouts have fought were my emmisaries. I intend to use this
vessel
to wipe all the emotions but mine from existance. There is no reason
for
happiness or hatred. Only despair is the true emotion, and soon you
shall
be destroyed," the possesed Sailor Moon said with a dry chuckle.

Chapter 15

Sailor Jupiter and Shayla Shayla were running through the forest,
when
they noticed tht three people that they left behind come out of the
ruins.
During the run, Shayla had passed the staff over to Sailor Jupiter.
Jupiter
yelled at the three coming out of the ruins.

"We've got the staff and now let's get out of here! We'll
probably
have a bunch of bugs heading this way!" Makoto yelled

Nanami felt a bit exasperated, while carrying the projector. She
was
not in as good as shape as the rest of the party. Mr. Fujisawa saw
Nanami's
face and decided o give her a bit of a break. He took the projecto and
handed it to Miz, while he slung Nanami over his shoulder like a sack
of
potatoes. Miz and Mr. Fujisawa quickly caught up to the two girsl and
joined the run.

"Sensei," Nanami said, "Traveling like this is not confortable."

"Sorry, Nanami, but we have to get that staff back to Sailor Moon
and
Sailor Pluto as fast as possible. I would rather stomp some more bugs,
but
it's too risky with the staff present."

"Save the chitchat. Let's just get this overgrown stick back to
who
it belongs and go swat some bugs," Shayla said

Sailor Jupiter suddenly stopped and rapped her fist against her
head.
The others stopped and looked at her.

"I can get the staff back to Usagi and Setsuna without worrying
about
being chased by bugs. I'll also take Nanami with me so that she won't
be in
any danger."

"What are you talking about?" Nanami asked as she was palced on
the
ground by Mr. Fujisawa.

"I can fly. I forgot about it momentarily, but I can get the
staff
back via flight as well as getting you out of danger."

Shayla got a wicked grin on her face, "I see. You take Nanami
and the
staff why we have some fun with the bugs and laughing boy."

Jupiter just nodded.

Nanami retreived the record module from Miz and allowed Makoto
Kino to
pick her up. Sailor Jupiter used her Senshi abilites to lift into the
air.
Judging which way to go, the green clad Senshi gracefully flew towards
the
palace of Roshtaria. The trio that were left behind licked their lips
in
anticipation of teaching Jinnai a few more lessons of why it isn't a
good
idea to mess with Roshtaria. Jinnai and a small army of Bugrom came
charging up. When Jinnai saw the two priestesses and Mr. Fujisawa
waiting
for him, he called a stop to the charge.

"Where is my staff?" Jinnai demanded

"Yours?" Shayla snorted, "Sailor Jupiter is now _flying_ it back
to
the person who it really belongs to, you twit."

"You'll pay for that. Sailor Pluto is mine, you hear," Jinnai
responded, "SOLDIERS, ATTACK!!"

The Bugrom started forwards to teach these upstart humans a
lesson. A
sudden quake and darkening of the sky called a halt to the impending
combat,
before it even began. Everyone looked in the direction of the Eye of
God
and saw massive swirling clouds of grey and brown energy. A wave of
despair
swept through the area and caused them all to reel for a few seconds.

Looks like something's going on that needs are more immediate
attention," Shayla muttered, "Pity. I was so looking forward to
roasting
that twit."

Jinnai said under his breath, "Another threat to my world? I can
deal
with these upstarts later. First, I have to save my world."

As the temporaryy truce took hoold, the entire group headed
towards
the swirling energy. All of them hoping that whatever this was, it
would
not destroy El Hazard. Jinnai ordered his bugs out loud to carry the
three
humans, so they wouldn't be tired out by the time they reached the Eye.
Shayla, Miz, and Mr. Fujisawa accepted the rides with a bit of
reluctance,
but knew it was the best thing to do. The combined group said nothing
as
they raced to fight a new disaster.
-------------------------
Back on the Forbidden Island, the remaining Phantom Tribe members
were
holding a meeting. A large male spoke to the assmbled group

"Our god has awoken at last. Soon, this pathetic world and all
its
inhabitants will be destroyed as we go back to our old ways of
terrorizing
other univereses and crushing hope anywhere it pops up."

A cheer went up from the gathered Phantom Tribe members.

"We'll also deal with those visitors to this island personally.
I
don't what they wanted with that old piece of technology, but they
won't get
a chance to use it."

The shadowy humanoids went to their vehicles and left the island
to
rejoin their god in spreading despair and hopelessness throught the
dimensions.

Chapter 16

The ice boat that Mercury made to carry the stasis device was
easily
eating up the distnace due to the thrust of the hoverboat attached to
the
top of the ship. Mercury and Uranus paid no heed to the cold air
emmenating
from the ship. Afura Mann was shivering from the low tempatures.
Every so
often, Ami would use her freezing bubble attack to keep the boat from
melting. The wind priestess felt a bit envious of the two Senshi,
since
they could ignore the cold, despite wearing such skimpy costumes.

"How is it possible for you to stand the cold so easily?" Afura
asked
with teeth chattering.

Ami looked at Afura and then looked away and said, "It's part of
the
transformation process.*

Afura waited to see if Ami would say any more, but was
dissapointed.

Ami had noticed something in the distance. Tapping her earring,
she
called her visor up. Sailor Mecury used the visor to scan the far
horizion.
The readins she recieved was that a large concentartion of evil energy
was
gathering and was trying to corupt a silver millenium energy source.

"Sailor Moon," Ami whispered fearfully.

"What's wrong, Ami?" asked Sailor Uranus.

"Usagi...it looks like Usagi might be getting possesed by a n
evile
force."

Haruka looked at her blue clad teammate in shock, "That's
immposible.
She has been able to withstand so much, that I can't buy her being
possesed."

Ami stared at the floor of the ship, while whispering, "Usagi has
been
feeling the pressure of being Queen for so long. There are times when
I've
seen her extremly sad. She wants to be able to have fun with her
friends
and family without having to worry about the world. Its been getting
worse. This little bit with Sailor Pluto might have caused a big
enough
breach in her emotional defenses to allow something to get a firm
foothold
on her mind."

Afura, curious, asked, "Why would your queen be depressed? She
was
raised to rule, right?"

Ami answered sadly, "No, she wasn't. She was raised as an
ordinary
girl and found out later that she was the future queen of Crystal
Tokyo.
Her depression comes from the fact that she just can't walk around the
city
anymore, unescorted."

Haruka said, "I think we'll shelve this discussion for now.
Right
now, we have to go rescue Sailor Moon. Afura, you have powers over the
wind. Can you ad some speed to our vessel?"

"I'll try."

Afura activated her talisman and used her control over wind to
produce
a breeze strong enough to push the ice ship along. Ami pushed the
Roshtarian air ship to its maximum potential as well. All three girls
worried about what was going on with Sailor Moon.

Setsuna looked up at her possessed friend and wondered how she
was
going to free her.

"Usagi, I know you can hear me. Please, try and fight off the
effects."


"Don't waist your time you metal homonculous. She can't free
herself. Her unhappiness of being queen all the time gave me the
chance I
needed to break her."

*No,* Setsuna thought, *It can't end like this.*

Out of the corner of her eye, Setsuna saw Sailor Jupiter fly in
with
her staff. Ifurita spared a glance at her sister before she launced an
attack at Sailor Moon. A beam of blue-white light lanced out from the
end
of Ifurita's staff. The attack was the same one that Ifurita used to
destroy cities.

*I'm sorry sister, but I can't allow this being to exist,*
Ifurita
thought.

The bolt of energy struck the evil infused Sailor Senshi and
exploded.
As the blast effects faded, Sailor Moon was revealed to be unharmed.
Sailor
Jupiter tossed the staff to Setsuna, who caught it, and launced a
Supreme
Thuder at Sailor Moon as a distraction.

Setsuna transformed into her Senshi guise and tried to figure out
what
to do. She couldn't attack Sailor Moon, becuase her obedience circuit
would
not allow it. She needed something that would help her. Her eyes fell
upon
a silver butterfly and realised something.

*A symbol of hope. Maybe there might be something I can do,*
Setsuna
thought to herself, and then cried into the recesess of her mind,
*MOTHER,
HELP ME!!*


Setsuna felt a familiar feeling sweep over her,
and thought to herself, *Another file? I wonder what now.*

Setsuna's mind went back into the virtual encounter world inside
her.
In it, she saw the familiar representation of Selene waiting for her.
Selene
started speaking to her.

"I see you made it Setsuna. This file is the last one. My
foresight
ends here.", Selene said, " She needs you, you know? This is why you
were
built and the reason the obedience circuit is still active."

While Selene's eyes were scanning the ground, Setsuna asked, "You
knew
this would happen? Why did you prevent me from gaining my freedom? Do
you
know how upset that made Usagi?"

"Yes, I knew it would happen and the sorrow it would cause your
friend," Selene said. "Your creation was to free her from Despair."

"How?"

"Search your soul Setsuna. You will find the answer. Good-bye,"
Selene said as flash of light sent Setsuna's mind back to reality.

Setsuna looked back up at Usagi and said, "Don't worry Usagi-
chan. I
won't fail you," and under her breath she added, "This is the real
reason I
was built."

Sailor Pluto summoned as much of her remaining energy as possible
and
concetrated into her staff.

A whisper came from Sailor Pluto, "Dead scream."

On uttering the words, Setsuna sent a ball of purple energy
whizzing
past Usagi's head.

Trapped inside her mind, Usagi wailed, *No!!!! Setsuna, you'll
die!!!*

The posessed Usagi, looked at Sailor Pluto and said, "Is that
your
best? You missed, delibrately. Heh; I won't even need to worry about
what you can do."

Sailor Pluto looked at Sailor Moon and said, "Good-bye, Usagi.
I've
loved you like a daughter."

Setsuna collapsed, her staff skittering a few feet away from
her.

Chapter 17

As the ice boat beached itself on the shore of Roshtaria's bay,
Sailor
Urnaus decided to fly on ahead to see what the distrubance was. Afura
and
Ami watched her fly off. Ami looked at the huge device they had
brought
with them.

"Uhm. Is there a cargo wagon nearby?" Ami asked, "Or a place
where
we can put the device under cover?"

Afura looked as the Sailor Senshi and said, "We'll have one of
the
sailors store it for us."

Afura walked over to a group of sailors that were watching the
ice
boat. A quick discussion and a little gold had the suspension device
takne
care of while the two left for the Palace. Both Sailor Merucury and
Afura
Mann took to the winds and headed towards the churning clouds.

Haruka, upon arriving at the Eye, saw the posessed Sailor Moon
and the
attacks directed towards her. She also saw Setsuna's attempt and words
being directed towards Usagi. All her warrior instincts told her to
strike,
but something in her held her from launching an attack.


Riding on the back of Groucho, Jinnai was thinking to himself,
*Once
we have dealt with this threat, I'll use Sailor Pluto to totally defeat
Makoto once and for all. I'll prevent Ifurita from betraying me and
soon
El-Hazard, Crystal Tokyo, and Earth will be mine to control*

Shayla watched Jinnai as his face reflected his daydreams, while
she
thought, *Yeah right. Just you wait you twit. I'll fry you yet."

The others in the group were paying more attention on what they
would
encounter when they reached Roshtaria. The bugrom and humans stopped
when
they saw a flying, grey Sailor Moon. Nanami gulped, realizing that
they
were facing a being that could easily destroy them all. Out of the
corner
of her eye, Miz noticed Sailor Jupiter and Ifurita positioning
themselves to
launch an attack at Sailor Moon.

"JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!!!"

A spray of electrical leaves emmenated from Jupiter and struck
Sailor
Moon, to no effect. Shayla decided to get in on the action and
activated
her talisman. The fire preistess launched a blazing lance of fire at
the
posessed woman. The flames engulfed her and died down, revealing that
Sailor Moon was unharmed.

Miz looked at Mr. Fujisawa and said, "This isn't good."

"Tell me about it. I wish I had a drink."

Inside Usagi's mind another war was being fought.

#See, your friends attack you. They are trying to kill you.#

*no, they're trying to kill you. not me.*

#Yes, but it's your body that they have to destroy. Face it
you've
lost.#

*setsuna didn't attack me. she can't. she said that she loved me
like
a daughter.*

#That tin doll can't hep you. She'll soon be out of power and
there
is nothing you can do about it.#

*tin doll? setsuna,, dying? no. no. No. No. No! No! NO!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!*

A blaze of silver light erupted from Sailor Moon, blasting a
gray-
black cloud of energy away from her. Usagi quickly flew down to the
Garnet
Orb Staff and picked it up. She ran over to Sailor Pluto and inserted
the
staff into the keyport.

"Setsuna, don't die," Usagi cried while winding up Sailor Pluto.

While Usagi was winding up Sailor Pluto, the electrical flashes
that recorded Usagi's bio-signature started up interspersed with
flashes
from the silver crystal. Sailor Pluto's eyes slowly opened as she felt
the
spring inside her being tightened up. She also felt energy coming from
Sailor Moon's crystal pouring into her. A small smile played across
her
lips, as she realized that she was being bound even closer to Usagi,
through
the power of the silver crystal.

As soon as Usagi was done winding Pluto up, she turned her over
and
hugged her.

Tearfully, Usagi cried, "Setsusna, please don't go."

Setsuna gently stroked the hair of the sobbing girl who was
hugging
her and said, "I'm not going to leave you, Usagi."

Setsuna looked up at the cloud and said, "You've failed in
corrupting
our friend. You have lost. Now, go away."

#YOU DARE TELL ME WHAT I WILL DO!!! YOU SHALL SUFFER FOR THAT,
YOU
PIECE OF JUNK!!!#

A bolt of grey energy shot out towards the two girls. As soon as
the
bolt hit the pair, the energy was reflected off in concentric rainbow
circles.

#WHA?!?!#

Setsuna said, "Hope defeats despair. The caring and love that
Usagi
shows for her friends as well as their caring for her defeats your
power.
You've lost."

#NEVER!!#


Setsuna looked into her friends face. Usagi, sensing what Sailor
Pluto was about to ask, nodded. Sailor Moon reached out telepathically
to
the other Senshi asking them for their strength. The others provided
their
energy for Sailor Moon's attack.

"MERCURY CRYSTAL POWER!!!"

"JUPITER CRYSTAL POWER!!!"

"URANAUS PALNET POWER!!!"

"PLUTO PLANET POWER!!!"

The three preistesses of Mt. Muldoon weren't sure what was going
on
but decided to try and help. The trio linked hands and concentrated on
sneding energy to Sailor Moon. Ifurita and Makoto linked their energey
and
sent it to Sailor Moon via Sailor Pluto.

Sailor Moon gathered all the power that was being sent to her and
used
it in her attack.

"SILVER CRYSTAL POWER!!!!"

The Gizinshou crystal flared a blinding white before it launced a
massive beam out at Despair. Despair was caught off guard and screamed
impotently as he was reduced to mere whisps of smoke. Sailor Moon
sensed
the Phantom tribe members that were approaching through the Gizinshou
and
using some of the leftover strength banished them to their plane of
existance. Sailro Moon collapsed back into Sailor Pluto's arms.

*Now's my chance,* thought Jinnai as he snuck up behind Usagi and
Setsuna.

Jupiter and Uranus looked at each other and nodded. The two
Senshi
got on either side of Jinnai and disposed of him.

"URANUS AND JUPITER COMBINED ATTACK! SUPER SENSEHI WEDGIE
TOSS!!"

After landing in some bushes, Jinnai brushed himself off and
ranted.

"How dare those two bitches throw me by the underwear," he then
continued in a squeaky voice, "That hurt, you know."


Chapter 18

After a little bit of a celebartaion in dealing not only with
Despair,
but with Jinnai and the Phantom tribe as well, Rune decided to talk
with
Usagi.

"I'm glad that you were able to get your friend's staff back and
sorry
that you were unable to find a way to free her," Rune said.

Usagi just smiled and shook her head, "Don't worry about that. I
have
the feeling Setsuna will soon be free. I believe the purpose for that
enslavement has past."

"I hear that Makoto and Ifurita will be joining you on your
world."

Smiling Usagi said, "Yes, they are. There is something I want to
take
care of that deals with them and I can only do it in my world."

"What?"

"It's a surprise and they want to do something that would be
difficult
in the other Earth or even her to pull off. By the way, with Ifurita's
help
I can make a portal big enough for a larger group."

Curious, Rune Venus asked, "Why? And what do Makoto and Ifurita
want
to do that would be difficult here?"

A wistful smile plays across Sailor Moon's face, "The two of them
want
to get married. It will be easier for them in Crystal Tokyo, because I
already know where they came from and what Ifurita is, and it doesn't
bother
me."

"Oh and why can't they have it here? The only problems I can
forsee
is Shayla Shayla and Nanami, but other than that..." Princess Rune
stopped
for a second and then said, "Never mind."

"It'll take us a few days to set up. I'll open the portal back
when
we are ready. That is if you want to come to the wedding."

"Makoto is my friend and Ifurita has saved this world. If you
think I
wouldn't want to go to their wedding, you are wrong."

Standing up, Usagi said, "I'll be seeing you in a few days then.
We
might not have got what we came looking for, but we did wind up with
some
new friends and that is always a good thing."

Usagi left Rune's room and met Setsuna outside. The two Senshi
talked
a bit about what happened as they walked back to their room. Usagi
after
recovering from her ordeal, decided that Setsuna wasn't going to be as
close
to her as possible until they returned home.

Rune just shook her head, *No wonder her friends all love her.
She
has more than enough love for everyone. Instead of being vindictive
towards
the Phantom tribe for what happened to her, she just sent them home.*

Princes Rune Venus wondered what surprise that Usagi had in stor
for
Makoto and Ifurita. Sighing at being unable to figure it out, she
thought
about keeping the upcomming marriage secret from Shayla Shayla and
Nanami.
She discarded that idea and would tell them after the group had left.

Back in their room, Setsuna and Usagi were having a quiet
converstaion.

"I know I've been a burden to you recently, Usagi. I'm sorry."

"Why? It's not your fault that you were born a machine or
programmed
to act in crtain ways. I accept you as you are."

Setsuna looked down and to the side. She looked back up when she
felt
Usagi's hand on her shoulder.

"You risked your life to save me, thank you. From what you've
told me
Selene must've have forseen Despair taking me over and built you to
counteract that being."

"Yes. She said as much in the message she left for me."

"Hopefully that means she saw your freedom afterwards coming up.
Selene spooks me at times. We'll just have to hope that there will
soon be
a way to free you."

"Thanks, Usagi"

Usagi and Setsuna went to their respective beds and went to
sleep.
This time, Setsuna banished the Garnet Orb Staff back into her subspace
pocket to prevent another reoccurance of what had just happened.
Before
drifiting off to sleep, Setsuna opened up her link to Usagi and felt
the
concern and love that Usagi had for her. Shaking her head Pluto thought
to
herself.

*There are sometimes that I wish...", Setsuna thought before
drifting
off to sleep.

The next morning the Senshi, Makoto Mizuhara, and Ifurita
prepared to
depart. The suspension device, that Ami and the others had retrieved
from
the Forbidden Isle, would be sent to Crystal Tokyo for Ami and Mizuhara
to
examine. Usagi, Ifurita, and Setsuana stood together. Ami handed
Sailor
Moon the small rock that she picked up from their world. Using the
rock as
a guide and the extra energy that Ifurita and Sailor pluto were
providing,
Sailor Moon opened the gateway back home. A silvery burst of light and
the
small group, plus on big machine, were gone.

"Impressive," Afura said


Back in Crystal Tokyo the group appeared with the machine. Usagi
looked around and down. She looked at her friends who just shook their
heads in exasperation. They had appeared on top of the Crystal Palace.
The
group decidng that the suspension device was safe enough flew down to
the
entrance of the palace. Ifurtia carried her love down of course. The
doors
swung open and allowed them entrance. Running up to greet Usagi was
her
husband and daughter. The two of them hugged Sailor Moon fiercly.

"Mommy it is so good to have you back."

"Usako."


"Mamo-chan, daughter."

After a few seconds, the family broke apart and saw the others.
Chibi-Usa and King Endymion noticed the two newcomers. Seeing her
family's
gaze and the other Senshi to arriving, she introduced them.

"Everyone, this Makoto Mizuhara and Ifurita. Ifurita is
Setsuna's
sister."

Usagi wondered about the slight blanching of her family and the
Senshi
that stayed behind. She shrugged and introudced the couple to the rest
of
the Sailor Senshi.

"And finally," Neo-queen Serenity said, "This is my daughter
Usagi and
my husband King Endymion. Everyone calls my daughter Samll Lady if you
get
confused about our names."

Mamoru whispered to Usagi, "We need to have a talk. We found
something out that you should know."

Serenity looked at her husband and nodded, "If you'll pardon us.
it
appears ther might be some state business that I have to take care of.
Ami
could you please accompany us."

The royal family and Sailor Mercury walked away. Everyone else
talked
about the events that Sailor Moon's party had and its results. The
Senshi
who had stayed in Crystal Tokyo occasionally took a sad look in the
direction that Sailor Moon went. When Serenity and the others reached
a
private confrence room, she looked at her family wondering what was
going
on. Sailor Mercury decided to remain silent for right now

"Usako. We found some laws of the old Silver Millenium. It
seems
that there might be a problem in regards to Setsuna and now Ifurita,"
Mamoru
said unconfortably.

Looking bewildered, Usagi asked, "What problem?"

Cibi-Usa said, "It's my fault. I found the passage. I wished I
hadn't."

"What passage?" Usagi asked again.

Mamoru stammered, "It's...well...in essence the passage states
that
both Setsuna and Ifurita have to be banished from Crystal Tokyo."

"WHAT?! WHY?! Because they're machines?" Serenity said in shock.

Feeling his wife's anger building, Mamoru said, "No. It's becuase
they
are daughters of Selene the first queen of the Moon."

Usagi's anger was replaced by confusion, "Huh?"

"May I have permission to speak?" Ami asked.

Queen Serenity nodded mutely

"I know of the passage they are talking about. It was set up to
prevent insurrections. You are of the direct line of queens. Those
two are
closer to the original royalty than you are. That is the reasoning
behind
that law."

"That law is silly. Can't I change it?"

Ami shook her head sadly, "No."

Usagi thought to herself, *After all that, I have to deal with a
stupid law that I can't change. I am not banishing them. There has to
be a
way. Think, Usagi. I failed to give Setsuna her freedom and now this.
Setsuna's freedom? Wait a second.*

The trio watched as Usagi paced the floor trying to accept or
find a
loophole in the law. Usagi sent Sailor Mercury to get the book with
that
law. Once Ami had returned, Usagi hoped her plan would work.

"Ami, please recite the law."

Sailor Mercury did so. Everyone wondered about the smile that
was
slowly growing on Usagi's face. She asked for a couple more
clarifications
which Ami gave her. She was grinning happily.

"I know exactly how I can keep from banishing Setsuna and
Ifurita,"
Usagi said cheerfully and then thought, *You really spook me, Selene.
That
law was written deliberately with that loophole.*

"How?" The three chorused

Usagi related her plan. Chibi-Usa giggled and jumped up and
down,
clapping her hands. Mamoru looked intrigued. Ami was shocked on just
exactly what Usagi's plan was. Usagi had Ami get the proper papers
ready.
Mamoru and Chibi-Usa left. All three had been sworn to secrecy about
the
plan.

*Well, Setsuna I hope you won't mind what I am about to do.*


Chapter 19

After a few days of preperation, Queen Serenity and the other
Sailor
Senshi had the palace ready for Ifurita's and Makoto's wedding. Usagi,
with
Setsuna's help, opened a portal to El-Hazard, allowing Makoto's friends
to
be guests. Chibi-Usa, Hotaru, and Setsuna were busy helping Ifurita get
dressed, while Makoto was being helped with his tuxedo by King
Endymion.
Shayla looked slightly pale and green. Nanami's face held no
expression.
The other visitors looked happy for Makoto. Rune Venus went to talk
with
Usagi.

"Your majesty," Rune said, "I was wondering where the bride is.
I
would like to help get her ready."

Serenity replied, "Follow me, your highness. I'm sure they could
use
your help."

The two female members of royalty left to where Ifurita was
getting
ready. Some guards escorted Mr. Fujisawa to help Mamoru get Makoto
ready
for the wedding. The remaining Senshi and guests milled around and had
small conversations, while waiting for the wedding to start. A few
minutes
later, the king and queen returned and headed for the throne. The
guests
seated themselves quietly. The Senshi positoned themselves, so that a
column of four each stood on either side of the center aisle. Makoto
and
Mr. Fujisawa came into the throne room and moved into position. Makoto
was
dressed in a powder blue tuxedo and was looking very nervous. Mr.
Fujisawa,
Makoto's best man, was dressed in a standard black tuxedo. Soon music
began
to play, signalling the arrivial of the bride. A silver dress, with a
veil,
was worn by Ifurita and she was carrying a boquet of roses in her left
hand.
Rune Venus was holding her right arm, while the three missing Senshi
acted
as Ifurita's bridesmaids. Hotaru and Setsuna were dressed in purpule
dresses, while Chibi-usa in a pink one. The small group made its way
up the
aisle and stood in front of the Crystal Tokyo lieges. Makoto nervously
shuffled over to stand next to Ifurita. Queen Serenity spoke.

"We are here to join Makoto Mizuhara and Ifurita in marriage.
Who
gives away the bride?" Serenity said

"I, Rune Venus, give Ifurita to Makoto Mizuhara," replied Rune.
Once
she declared that, she moved to stand next to the bridesmaids.

Serenity nodded and continued, "Makoto Mizuhara, do you take
Ifurita
to have and to hold? To love and cherish?"

Makoto looked at Ifurita and said confidently, "With all my
heart."

Serenity looked at Ifurita and then asked, "Do you, Ifurita, take
Makoto Mizuhara to have and to hold? To love and cherish?"

"I do."

The Senshi gave a warning glance to both Shayla and Nanami,
before
Serenity continued.

"By the power vested in me by the Gizinshou and the people of
Crystal
Tokyo. I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Makoto nervously raised the veil and saw the face of his beloved.
He
then kissed her as passionately as he could. Cheers and weeping came
from
the audience as the two kissed. Nanami and Shayla looked miserable,
they
had lost him for good this time. After the couple reluctantlty broke
their
kiss, Queen Serenity spoke.

"Ifurita, Makoto. The two of you have a love that has survived a
lot.
It woould be a shame if it was lost," Serenity said as she started
glowing
silver.

She placed a hand on each of their foreheads and continued, "I am
now
linking your spirits together and extending Makoto's life. When the
time
comes for you to pass on, your spirits will find each other. In the
afterlife or a reincarnated one. Makoto, your life is now as long as
Ifurita's. Please take care of each other and love each other as only
those
truly in love can."

Overcome by the gifts that Serenity just gave them, the two just
nodded. More ccrying came from Nanami and Shayla upon hearing this.
Mercury and Venus went to confort them. The newly married couple went
down
the aisle. At the door, Ifurita turned and casually tossed the boquet
she
was holding. The boquet wound up being caught by Afura Mann. The
couple
then passed through the door to the clapping of the guests.

"The post wedding part will be held in the Hikawa shrine. Those
of
you who wish to go, one of the Sailor Senshi can give you directions.
To
those who wish to return to El-Hazard right now, please approach the
throne," Serenity said.

"Your Majesty," Rune said, "I would love to stay, but I should
get
back to my duties of running Roshtaria."

The other vistors from El-Hazard came up. Afura spoke once she
was
acknowledged.

"Your majesty, I think it would be better, in the long run, if
all of
us headed back. Please have Makoto and Ifurita visit us though."

Serenity said, "We will."

Serenity concetrated for a few seconds and sent them back to
Roshtaria.

*Well I guess that's that. I better get into something a bit
more
casual, if I want to go to the party,* Usagi thought

The King and Queen excused themselves, so they could freshen up.
The
other guests and most of the Senshi headed for the shrine. Sailor
Pluto
headed towards her room. Noticing this, Chibi-Usa followed, while
reassuring Sailor Saturn.

Chibi-Usa knocked on Pluto's door, "Pu? Are you okay?"

"Please enter, Small Lady," Setsuna said.

Chibi-Usa opened the door and saw that Sailor Pluto was reading a
paper. She was startled, when she saw tear glisten on Pluto's cheeks.

"Pu, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong. It's just what Usagi has done for Ifurita,
Makoto,
and myself. I still can't figure out why she did this though," Setsuna
said
while staring at the paper

Looking at the paper, Chibi-Usa said, "That's because of a dumb
law
that I found. Mommy didn't want to treat you as a machine, so she
found the
one loophole that she could use."

"But this?"

"What's wrong Pu? Don't you want to be my..." Chibi-Usa said
before
being interupted

"That's not it at all," Setsuna blurted, "It's just that..."

Chibi-Usa put a hand on Setsuna's shoulder and said, "This way,
you're
freed of standing at the time gate for all eternity. You know mommy
would
never abuse her control over you."

Setsuna remained quiet.


"Pu, mommy needs you to keep her free. Please accept it for me.
I'm
quite sure Ifurita feels the same way you do."

Setsuna just nodded, while thinking about the new title that she
would
be calling Usagi. A lump formed in her throat.

Usagi's voice came from behind the door, "Chibi-Usa, Setsuna
let's get
over to the party."

Chibi-Usa quickly left, once she saw that Sailor Pluto was
coming.
Pluto took another look at the paper, before setting it down very
carefully.

Deciding to try out the new title, Setsuna said,
"Coming,.........mom."

On the piece of paper there was this:
