Prologue
‘I’m dying’ Lynn Clarke thought as her crimson source of life flowed from her staining her white Berber carpet.
“You certainly killed her fast.” mentioned a dispassionately cold voice.
“I don’t torture, besides she’s not dead yet.” the voice that replied was equally as cold but held a lick of amusement.
“What’s her name?”
“Don’t know, don’t really care.”
‘Dear God, they’ve killed me and don’t even care who I am. I’m dying down here and they’re discussing it like the fucking weather!’ Lynn thought angrily.
“Lynn…” she whispered.
“What’s that?” one of her killers knelt down in front of her.
She stared up at her killer in fascinated horror, ’his eyes, they’re blank, white no pupil, iris, nothing.’
“Lynn…my name is Lynn.” she choked out blood flowing from her mouth.
“Lynn huh? Well Lynn, you have very pretty eyes. Such a nice pair of piercing blue eyes. Did you know that a person’s eyes are the most beautiful at the moment where the light of life is just about to flicker out?”
“You’re crazy.” Lynn stuttered out her eyes widening in terror.
“Yes, I am…your eyes are going to be a part of my collection.” the man replied with a smirk as he flashed a hunting knife in front of her face, “ I just have to wait for the right moment to remove them. Shouldn’t be long now.”
Lynn gazed at the knife in shock her eyes slowly flickering between life and death.
“Is it time, yet?”
The man with blank eyes looked up at his partner, “You really need to have patience.”
“I have plenty of patience. Its just its taking a long time for you to remove her eyes. It didn’t take this long with the last person.”
“Each person is different my sweet. Each person is different.”
“Don’t call me my sweet. I am not your sweet or anyone else’s.”
“Yea right. Its time.”
‘He’s going to take my eyes.’ Lynn thought dully as the knife came towards her.
The man slid the knife into the corner of her right eye and pushed forward. The piercing blue eyeball popped out easily landing in the man’s outstretched palm. Moving quickly the man did the same thing to left eyeball. Lynn’s heart stopped beating just as the left eye fell into her killer’s palm.
The man stood up and turned towards his partner, “Open the bag.”
The partner opened and held out a plastic bag filled with saline. The man dropped the eyeballs into the bag, “Let’s go.”
