Fake Fan Fiction ❯ Greek Love ❯ Gifts ( Chapter 5 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
*Historical Note: I'm trying to stay as accurate as possible, but I've complicated matters by setting this story so early (before Greece was overtaken by Roman rule- don't ask me why, I just prefer Greek to Roman...) because so little is known about Japan then. I DO know that there was trade between Japan and Korea so it's possible Ryo's mother could have made it to the continent. However, the likelihood of Dee getting something such as a yukata (if that was even the style then, I'm not sure) was probably unlikely. For the sake of the story, though, let's just let him obtain one pretty quick, OK? *looks around* Everyone cool with that? GOOD! :P

Ryo sat on the stone sill of his wide bedroom window, facing the courtyard as he gazed at the garden blooming before him. Although it was a pleasant, bright day, Ryo felt restless in the sunshine. After Dee had taken such personal 'care' of him when he first arrived in his home, Ryo had somewhat assumed he would be seeing quite a lot of the man (in more ways than one), but it had been several days and the raven-haired man had yet to make a second appearance. Ryo wasn't sure if he should be relieved or annoyed and he found he was a little bit of both.
In a way he was relieved because the tall, dark man's affections had been overpowering and the time away from him had given the blond some much-needed time to adjust to his surroundings. The high stone walls which Ryo had thought would seem confining or suffocating actually gave him a warm sense of security as he walked around familiarizing himself with his new home. The richness and opulence of the dwelling astounded him. He could easily loose himself wandering through the many, smooth corridors and he was glad to always have another one of the servants with him- he wasn't allowed to step from his room without supervision. It really should've bothered him to be constantly monitored, but he didn't mind. At least he had someone else to converse with.
Which brought him to the source of his annoyance: he was terribly lonely. Even though it was comforting to walk with another servant, the only person who really spoke with him in any depth or length was Mother, and she was often too busy to accompany him. His sharp mind craved intellectual stimulation and his body had it's own cravings to deal with, ones Ryo was not always willing to address. But Dee was never far from his mind and as the days stretched on, he began to wonder if it had all been just a game for him. Perhaps Ryo had been horribly naive to have believe the handsome man felt anything more than a passing lust for him. Had he been wrong to think there was something more in his eyes when he looked at him? Had he imagined the warmth and compassion and understanding? Or maybe Dee had played this game so often that he was well-adept at creating such a convincing facade? There was no way to be sure and doubts plagued Ryo through the long days.
And the nights were not much better. Every evening Dee would come back late, tired and worn from debating all day and, glancing into Ryo's room, decide not to wake him while he was so deep in slumber. What he didn't know was the hours it took for Ryo to fall asleep at night. And even then he slept fitfully, often tossing and turning and waking at odd hours in a cold sweat of fear. The young man knew Dee was just beyond the heavy double doors, but he could never bring himself to slip into the other man's room. Honestly, he didn't know if it was allowed and if Dee didn't see fit to visit him, how could he impose upon him? Especially as a simple servant? So he would curl back up under the linen sheets and hug himself to sleep once more.
The only thing that had brightened his increasingly heavy mood was when Mother unexpectedly visited him one afternoon with a oddly-shaped package for him.
"I know my lord has been very busy lately, but he has been thinking of you," she said, handing over the bundle. "There are times when things get very hectic and stressful for him, you must understand," she continued when he said nothing. It really was none of his business anyway, Ryo told himself.
Gently, Ryo unfolded the linen bindings of the soft bundle and gave a small gasp at the contents. "It's- it's..." he stumbled, unable to force the words past his throat in his state of amazement., as he held up the artfully embroidered kimono of fine silk.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Mother finished for him. "Very unusual," she added, stepping next to him to finger the shining fabric.
Ryo simply shook his head, he knew how difficult it was to obtain clothing from his native island, it was one of the reasons he had so cherished the kimonos his mother had kept for him. And why he had been so distraught to loose them. How Dee had been able to find one he had no idea, but seeing the garment flooded his mind with long-forgotten memories and tears formed and streamed down his cheeks before he was able to stop them.
"My dear Ryo! Are you all right?" Mother asked, patting his back gently.
"Yes, I... it just brings back memories," the blond man replied, hugging the kimono to his chest as the suppressed emotions threatened to surface. Breathing deeply, he brushed aside his tears and calmed himself. "How did he ever find it?" he murmured in wonder as he looked questioningly at Mother.
The jovial older woman simply looked at him and smiled, "He's Dee!" It seemed she needed no more explanation than that and Ryo decided it was a fair enough answer. The powerfully charismatic man had seemed extraordinary from the moment Ryo laid eyes on him and he wondered what other surprises Dee had in store for him.
"Ahhh! You're wearing it!" came a voice from behind Ryo as he turned his eyes away from the garden and his mind anyway from his thoughts.
Lost in his own musings, Ryo hadn't heard the soft footsteps as Dee came up to the open doorway. Leaning against the wall, the dark-haired man had taken a moment to simply admire the lean, blond man as he sat glowing in the sun. He seemed much more at ease wearing the yukata, the foreign clothing only serving to accentuate his exotic beauty. Dee had suddenly felt as if a rare jewel from the East had been dropped into his lap, left there to be caressed and treasured.
"Dee!" Ryo exclaimed, unable to hide his joy at seeing the dark, handsome man again after the long days away from him. Almost he jumped up to embrace him, but quelled the emotion, thinking it inappropriate.
Dee, however, had no such inhibitions. Stepping close to the slightly shorter man, he cupped his chin and brushed a thumb tenderly along one exquisite cheekbone, smiling. Ryo knew he must be wearing a silly, enormous grin on his face, but he couldn't help it. This man was the only real thing left in his life after being stripped of his family, freedom, and property. And he needed so badly to feel close to someone again. Unconsciously, he leaned into Dee's touch, encouragingly.
"Do you like it?" the dark-haired man whispered, his lips so close to Ryo's face he could feel his breath across his cheek.
For a moment, the blond wasn't sure what the older man was referring to, his blood rushing through his veins so fast it was making him light-headed. Finally, he answered, "Oh...the yukata, yes. I love it." Then added in earnest, "Thank you."
"I'm glad you like it. It suits you" Dee replied. The yukata fit Ryo's lithe body much better than the draped tunic and he had to admit that, although it displayed less skin, the way it fell over the man's frame conveyed an air of languid sensuality none the less.
Slowly, Dee let his free hand drift down to pass the soft fabric through a thumb and forefinger. As he slid down the open edge of the robe-like garment, the tips of his fingers grazed the other man's sensitive collarbone, eliciting a small gasp from his companion. Dee looked back up to see Ryo's face flushing a familiar shade of pink, eyes closed and lips slightly parted. Unable to resist, the tall man closed the space between their mouths in a sweet, enveloping kiss. One arm slipped about Ryo's waist, pulling his warm, willing body tight against his own.
In seconds, Ryo's rational thoughts floated away and all he knew was the feeling of this powerful man's hard body pressing into him. Dimly, his mind mused that this was actually the first kiss they had shared. For all of the passion and pleasure during their heated exchange when Dee had bathed him, their lips had never met. It was a heady, potent kiss, and Ryo decided, though it might be the first, he definitely did not wish it to be his last.
The other man was thinking along the same lines. It had been torture being away from the sparkling, attentive young man for so long and Dee had been hard put-to not to ravish him in his sleep. But there was no need to rush and the older man, skilled in the ways of love, wanted the other man's first experience of love-making (for he suspected correctly from Ryo's innocent responses that he was quite untouched) to be anything but average. It had to be extraordinary and only now with most business matters taken care of did he feel he could lavish this man with the kind of attention deserving of him. Although he was still tired... perhaps another night of rest and then the timing would be right.
The tall, commanding man didn't stop to ponder how unlike him it was to be so patient with one of his conquests. He had always been very much a libertine before encountering the quiet, striking blond man. But something about him told Dee to be more accommodating. Perhaps he had also avoided the man the past few days for another reason as well. He couldn't help but recognize that his feelings were unique when it came to the young man. It could be that part of him feared to acknowledge the impact Ryo had already made on his heart and mind. But as soon as he had seen him sitting there in the morning sunlight, he knew, despite all his reasoning, that his patience was wearing thin and he would not be able to hold out from ravishing his sweet, yielding body for much longer.
Already, from Ryo's soft mews of pleasure and eager mouth, Dee was growing hard. It was only with a long-cultivated sense of duty and restraint that he was finally able to pull himself away from Ryo's intoxicating lips; certain matters of state still loomed before him in the the hours to come and he would be forced to leave soon.
"I apologize for being so negligent of you lately," Dee said regretfully. "There have been so many duties to attend to and I'm afraid I must take my leave shortly," he explained, seeing Ryo's eyes drop to the floor between them. His heart fell to his stomach. "I should be able to see you tonight, though," he added hopefully, unable to leave with the other man looking so forlorn. "Would that please you?" he asked
"Yes, of course," Ryo replied, trying to sound more cheerful than he felt.
"I truly am sorry," he repeated. When the blond man merely sat down again, sulkily, Dee added, "Tell me what I can do to make it up to you."
"Nothing, really. It's fine," he replied unconvincingly.
The taller man sat down now next to Ryo and, placing a hand under his chin, turned his face toward him so the younger man was forced to look into the deep, green pools of Dee's eyes. "Tell me," he said firmly, leaving no room for discussion.
"Well," Ryo squirmed under his master's commanding tone. "I sometimes feel a bit... lonely," he began and Dee's heart clenched at his words. "And," he continued, "bored."
"What would-?"
"There was, well," Ryo pushed on before he lost his nerve, "there was a boy who was brought in with me, he was probably only about nine or ten. Maybe you remember him, he had pale hair and a dark complexion?" Dee nodded, wondering where this was going. "We grew sort of attached to each other and I've been a little worried about him. I was thinking that, if he could be brought here, then maybe I could spend time teaching him to read and write," Ryo looked intently at the older man, eagerness in his eyes. "I know several languages from traveling and, as much as I enjoy the comforts of living here, I need some more... stimulation... for my mind," he finished.
When Dee stayed silent, the other man plowed on, "It would give me something to do when you're busy and I wouldn't be so lonesome... But if it's too much to ask.."
"Hmmm? Oh, no not at all, Ryo! I was just trying to recall where I had sent him," he replied as he stood. "If that's what it will take to make you happy, than that's what will be done," he said with a smile.
"Really? Thank you, Dee!" the young man exclaimed, his face lit with child-like delight.
"Think nothing of it!" he said. It was an odd request, but Dee supposed it could be accomplished without much ado and what wouldn't he do to see that look of joy on Ryo's beautiful face?
"I'll see you this evening, you can thank me properly then" Dee said with a grin and closed the door behind him, leaving Ryo flustered, his cheeks glowing red in the raising sunshine.
*********I REALLY thought I was going to get to another lemon this chapter! How does this story just run-away like that? But there's a saucy lemon in Ch6!
