A/N: I'm updating a lot slower than I usually do…Oh well…*shrugs* I'm glad to know you readers like my stories. I'm so HAPPY!!! *hugs all readers* And especially my reviewers!! Especially Isuki, Xzanayu, Chiyo-Hoshi, DracoDormiens1, and all the many others who reviewed! And I'd also like to thank the one person who actually keeps me writing…My friend Maetel… If she didn't give me death threats every few days to update… I probably would forget all about it until my muse struck…>.<

Warning: There may be some OOCness as I can't really get a real good impression as to how the bad guy is supposed to act…>.<' So he'll be how I want him to be damn it!

Chapter 8: PreDawn…

"Come on Ryo… I already apologized for that." Ryo crossed his arms and ignored the whiny tone in his lover's voice.

"No. You didn't have to fight with Bikky all night long now did you? He had to report to work early and now he's in trouble with Rose! And I know Rose suspects I had something to do with it! Which I didn't! I don't want hunters coming after me!" Black eyes were filled with anger at the ancient for his stupidity.

"But, hunters aren't that bad to deal with…" Dee trailed off as he saw Ryo's `don't argue with me' look.

"It's okay Ryo. Berkley didn't really say anything about you, but he is asking where the hell are you. He can't get it through his dumb ass skull that you've been turned." The blonde haired young man had already come to accept it, why couldn't his boss.

"Berkley's been asking about me? Damn it." The growl that escaped Ryo got the other two men nervous. They had never seen Ryo look this angry, not even Bikky.

"Well, I'm heading off for a little while. I have to do my own research." Ryo nodded as Dee headed off. Bikky went up to Ryo and put a hand on his arm.

"It's okay Ryo. I'm keeping Berkley away for now. You're going to have to tell him you've been turned though." Ryo nodded as his black eyes met blue ones. A sigh escaped his lips as he decided he'd do it that day.

"Come on Bikky. We'd better go explain this to Rose." Bikky nodded as he followed the other man out to the headquarters.

"Yo Ryo! I haven't seen you in a while dude! You been okay?" The officers all surrounded him, causing Ryo to become uncomfortable. Bikky managed to shove them all away.

"Ah Ryo. It's good to see you've returned." That voice sent cold shivers down Ryo's spine, he did not like Rose too much.

"I haven't returned. I've come to tell you why I haven't been here." Berkley lifted an eyebrow as Bikky wrung his hands. He was willing to put his job on the line if Ryo needed him.

The entire headquarters watched as Ryo closed his eyes and clenched his fists. Suddenly, two sharp canines protruded from his mouth slightly, and his body became more defined under the clothing. His skin became slightly paler, but not much. He opened his eyes and they were slightly red, with lots of black mixed in.

Everyone was quiet, including Bikky. He hadn't seen Ryo as a vampire yet. Berkley was extremely surprised that his best hunter had been changed. He cleared his throat as a cold look came into his eyes.

"You do understand the consequences of a vampire coming into hunter headquarters." Ryo lifted an eyebrow, Berkley obviously didn't understand everything that happened during a change. Not only did this body change, but his attitude as well.

"Bring it on." The blond haired hunter and chief noticed how huskier Ryo's voice had gotten. "I'm not afraid of some hunters." A smirk played across the blond vampire's lips as the others attacked. Soon everyone of them was on the floor, unconscious.

All the while Ryo had been smiling and laughing. He turned towards Berkley. His eyes narrowed dangerously, causing some discomfort with the older man. Ryo began walking towards him slowly, with the fluid movements of a predator. He got right up to the man and leaned in to his ear.

"Did you forget Rose? I was a hunter before I became a vampire. Those same instincts, combined with those of a vampire… Not a good combination for your side, but a helluva combination for myself. Don't try sending any hunters after me. I'd hate to spill their blood." Berkley shivered at hearing the vampire's voice laced with blood lust and ice. The light haired man stepped away as he glared at his ex-superior.

"You don't have the guts." That was one of the most stupid things Berkley Rose could have ever said. He found himself quickly pinned to the wall with Ryo's claws crushing his windpipe.

"Don't you dare mock me… I will definitely make sure your life is living hell if you do. Or better yet, I'll make you beg for death. Beg for something which you'll never get." With this, the predatory Ryo let the man drop. He noticed the blood on his claws, which he licked off.

Bikky's eyes widened as he saw the attitude change in his mentor, he had never seen Ryo like this. He was quite shocked at how the vampire Ryo turned out to be a badass.

"Ryo… Let's get going before they all wake up. Come on, we have to meet up with Dee!" Ryo snapped his head around to Bikky and briefly nodded. He ran after Bikky as they made their way towards the apartment.

"So. What's been up Dee? Heard anything about the new vampire? Heard he's a hottie." Dee let his eyes drift over to the vampire sitting next to him. He was getting irritated by that man's voice.

"Yeah. I know about the vampire." His voice was monotone.

"So! Tell me more about him! Come on, I want to get in this guy's pants." He soon found himself pinned to a wall, with Dee's claws digging into his flesh. "D-D-Dee?"

"He is mine. Do you understand?" The other vampire could only nod at hearing the menacing note in Dee's growl.

"Understood. Yours. I won't go near him! I promise! Just don't kill me please!" Dee let off on the other male, smirking as he sprinted for the exit.

"Did you have to do that Dee? Get so possessive?" The bartender gave a sigh as he went back to cleaning the counter. Dee shrugged as he leaned against the counter, which got him a frown from the older man.

A cold chill went down Dee's spine, which caused Dee to straighten. His green eyes scanned the entire floor, they froze on one particular shadow. Dee growled as he ran towards the mysterious shadow.

They entered one of the more private rooms in the club. The shadow was causing Dee to growl in frustration.

"Who the fuck are you!?" Green eyes swept over the room, trying to locate the chilling aura that practically permeated the air. The shivers wracked Dee's body, telling him this was no ordinary human nor vampire. He didn't know what the hell the thing was.

"Now, now. What kind of villain would I be if I revealed myself now? You'll have to wait and find out, but know this. I will get your little lover..." With that, the aura and voice completely disappeared. Dee's eyes widened as the fear set in.

"He's going to go after Ryo! RYO!" Dee dashed out of the room, only to have a bad feeling weighing his shoulders down.

The other vampire ran towards their apartment at break neck speed, trying to make sure nothing would happen to him. He rounded the corner and heard the explosion…

A/N: I know…It's short…^.^' And I know you all hate me too… XD Oh well! Guess you'll have to wait and see what happens!! >.< Oh yes… There will be a lemon in chapter ten or eleven. I'll still working out the details for it. >.> I am not sure if I want to do a Bikky/Cal scene. I'll let you readers vote for that! ^-^ Until then, ja ne! ^.~ v
