I do not own Fake or any of its characters. I do not own Q (and who would be so crazy to want him?) or any other characters of Star Trek. Same for Eris.

I WOULD NOT LIKE TO BE THEM

CHAPTER 1

"Space, the final frontier, these are the adventures of the great, omnipotent and most famous member of the Q-continuum. Me! Q! I do not know why, but I think that I do not like this introduction. I wonder what can be the reason… any way, let me introduce myself to you, oh little mortal creature. I'm the most potent living being of this small and boring universe. I'm the one that is going to spice your life and give, how do you human says?…, the chills down your back, or something similar. So what we have here, a small solar system, some deserted planets and only one inhabited by the most boring creatures that I've ever met in all my life, and let me tell you that it's longer that your small human mind can imagine."

Q set quietly on the only moon of the third planet of the solar system and made a list appear in front of him.

"Well let's see who will be the target for my amusement. Politicians, nah, they are already doing a good job by themselves. Actually if I have to be born as a mortal that category would fit me perfectly. Double faced, liar, eager to start wars, arrogant and completely heartless. Yes, that would be definitely perfect. So let's see who else can be useful. Religious representatives, please, they can be even worst than politicians. Mmm. It seems that it's going to be more difficult than expected."

"Still searching for some amusement, dear Q?"

A feminine shadow approached Q from behind the moon.

"Still sulking over that pathetic human that tricked you Eris? What was his name… Sinbad, if I'm correct."

Her face come slowly visible as she entered the illuminated side of the Moon followed by a variety of different creatures.

"Yes, his name is Sinbad. But he was so cute that I couldn't resist myself, right Cetus my dear? By the way, do you think that you will be able to do better than me, my dear Q? Then you do not really know humans."

"And tell me, my dear Godness of Chaos what should I know about humans, they are like all the other mortal beings. They all think to be immortal and realize how wrong they are only when they die and meet me in their so called "heaven". How pathetic, please."

"Then I bet you to do better than me."

"Bet taken. So where do we start?"

Eris looked close to the planet and pointed at a city in one of the biggest continent.

"That should do well. Two men madly in love with each other; a boy and a girl that are like their own children; a dangerous city and a very dangerous work. What do you think Cetus?, that should work perfectly. I'm looking forward to admire your glorious chaos, my dear Q."

"Look and learn my beautiful Eris."

As the two evil minds set up their plan a third presence spied them from behind the forth planed and set its mind. If they would interfere with the life of two, actually four, innocent human being, it would interfere with the plan of the two immortal ones.
