Prologue: it begins….

 

It's a warm sunny day in the town of Nekomi, as people could attest to. The college was busy, especially the biological department. “John, we need that grant to continue our research. Otherwise Henderson will cut the biology department out of the curriculum” said a man dressed in a white lab coat who was hurrying down a hallway “Larry, don't worry, Jackson won't let Henderson do it. Besides, they wouldn't stop us now, now that we're getting close to finding it” John said following Larry towards the laboratory. They opened the doors and headed into an elevator. When the elevator arrived at the floor, the doors opened and out of the elevator stepped John and Larry. They walked up to a big solid steel reinforced titanium door. They stopped and turned to a security guard who was present who said “id's Gentlemen” they promptly showed the guard their ID's. The guard reached over and pressed a red button on his desk, the door opened with a slight shudder. They went in and as they walked along a corridor, john spoke first, he asked “how's the wife and kids?” “Fine, Gina's doing well, tom and Sarah are doing well at school” they went into a room which read “laboratory 1”. There were various instruments and benches, plus a metal table in the middle of the room. Strapped to the table was a young man “Miss Nagas, do you have it?” john asked to a doctor who had come into the room with them “yes” she said, producing a syringe filled with an off-blue colour, and spots. “Alright, this is test number ten” he said moving towards the man, who was at that current moment, scared out of his mind. “NO, NO, NO, NOOOOO!!!!!” the man yelled as Doctor Joseph Greene injected the substance into the man's arm. “Now we wait” said the doctor “I'll go and get us some coffee” said john as he left the room. “Let us hope that the experiment wasn't a complete failure” Joseph stated before the man's prone form began to convulse. The man sat up and roared an inhuman roar and began to mutate “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!” the doctor yelled as the man's head mutated. It changed in shape, two horns growing out of his\it's head. Larry and the other doctor ran to the exits but they were too late. It was upon Larry in a heartbeat. Larry screamed as it bit into his head and removed it, spraying his blood over the walls. The other doctor screamed as it approached her. It ran at her and impaled her with its horns; she was dead before she hit the ground. Various scientists were running along a grating when one fell. He screamed as he was pulled from the grating by something. Another scientist was running before he was pulled into the ceiling, screaming. John was starting to head back when he heard the screams “oh my god!!!” he yelled as he ran to the communications room. He could hear the screams of the other scientists before they died down. “Shit” he said as he made his way to the communication room. He was about to close the solid titanium reinforced triple-thick doors when he saw it: it had fire-like drool all over it was covered in cuts, scabs and sores, it looked like something that Satan himself spat out. It reared up to charge as he closed the metal doors. He closed and locked them. He ran over to the unit and booted it up. It started and he began, hurriedly “this is doctor John Carmack, classified Odolvai research Id 6627” he turned and saw that the door looked like it was going to give under the cyber demons relentless assaults, he knew he had very little time left so he finished “initiate quarantine procedures now!!” before the communication systems died. He let out a breath and said “great, NOW COME AND GET ME YOU UGLY SON OF A BITCH!!!” before the doors exploded open and in stepped the cyber demon. “You want me, come and get me, it doesn't matter” he said before he grabbed a pistol off the table. He put it against his temple and blew his brains out. Outside in the main college, metal shutters began to lower and seal the college. People ran screaming to the doors but were stopped by the solid metal door. A man ran to a slowly closing door and slid under it, but he stopped partway and was crushed by the door. A ventilation panel opened and out from it came something, something horrible. It had no eyes, pink skin was hunched over like an animal but it had mechanical hind legs. A group of people gathered around it and a young man cautiously approached it “hello?” he asked wearily. It roared and leapt at him.
