Josh stepped out into the backyard, carrying his satchel containing all of his equipment. he grabbed a stick and dug it into the snow, drawing a weird symbol "c'mon Dahaka, Asaan, copy the symbol" they grabbed a stick and did the same. "now take the ingredients out of your satchels" he said before he waived his hand, making two identical satchels appear infront of the Dahaka and Asaan. they opened the satchels and took out the ingredients "today, you're going to learn how to use alchemy to change these items into potions to cure a whole range of conditions, including when someone's lying on a ground bleeding from a nasty gash on their chest to even the slightest sniffle. are you two ready?" they nodded and he said "alright, now that you have your items, place them on the transmutation circle. that's the symbol you just drew in the snow" "oh" they both said before they put the items onto the symbol. "now that you've put the items on the circle, put your hands together like this" he put his hands together with the fingers and palms touching each other, they did the same. "NOW, THIS IS THE BEST PART, DO EXACTLY WHAT I DO" he said with gritted teeth before he separated them and put them on the circle. his transmutation circle lit up, followed by the others as smoke began to appear from the circles. Josh sat back and said "now wait for the smoke to clear, and hopefully you've successfully transmuted your items. if your attempts work, we'll move onto bigger transmutation. there is another form of transmutation, but we won't go onto that. ever" the smoke cleared, leaving three gourds of varying shapes "good, that worked" keiichi came out into the back yard and said "hey Josh, belldandy wants some things from the shop, but i'm busy with a couple of things right now so i was wondering?" Josh turned to him, nodded and said "sure, c'mon guys. lets get some exercise" they nodded and went inside. Josh went into the kitchen and asked "so belldandy, where's the list?" belldandy produced the note and some money, saying "here, the list has all of the things i need" he took the note, nodded and said "alright, i'll be back in an hour" he turned and left, followed by Asaan and the Dahaka.

they walked down a city street, trying to avoid the stares of various people as they headed to the shop. Josh and Asaan entered without a hitch, but the Dahaka had to crouch slightly before he entered the shop. Josh grabbed a basket and all three went around the shop, grabbing various things on the list. "that's it?" asked the Dahaka as he came back with the final item "yep, that's it" Josh replied before three hooded crims came in brandeshing mp5 sub machineguns saying "ALRIGHT, NOBODY MOVE. HANDS IN THE AIR, THIS IS A ROBBERY!!" everybody in the store put their hands up in the air as Josh rolled his eyes and said to no-one "you've got to be fucking kidding me". they came over to the three and one of the crims said "put your fucking hands up and give us your money, NOW!!" Josh turned to them and said "get that goddamn gun out of my face asshole" "why you....... kill him" they opened fire on the three, but Josh threw up an energy barrier just in time "what the hell are you?" cried the crim as he took down the barrier and started walking towards them. he got up to them and spread his big black wings, using his magic to seal them to the walls. "i'm complicated" the shoppers looked and saw that the crims had begun pissing themselves. when his wings dissapeared he turned to the shop keeper and said "sorry 'bout that" the shop keeper smiled and said "don't worry about that, i've had problems with them for some time. in return, we won't tell anyone else about what happened, it's our way of thanking you" he nodded and said "thank you" "you're welcome, and by the way, that stuff that you have there, it's on the house" "thank you" Josh said appreciately as they left.

as they approached the temple, Josh felt a hint of dread and something else, something evil. "do you guys feel that?" the Dahaka nodded and the prince just about growled when he said "yes, something evil and unspeakable happened here" "c'mon, lets go!!" Josh said, as he started running to the front door. "hey what happened here?" he asked right before banpei came wheeling 'round the corner at a high speed "hey banpei, what happened here?" banpei beeped and said in a mechanical voice "target identified: eliminate Joshua payne" "what the fuck?" was all Josh could say before banpei changed into a mobile gunpod. two missiles were launched and they connected, sending Josh into the air "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU FUCKING MACHINE?" he shouted before he saw Hild, skuld and Peorth's father come out, they were pissed (angry). he floated back down to them and asked "you mind telling me what the hell is going on?" "how about you tell us why you did it?" Hild said angrily "what're you talking about? do what, what did i do?" Hild went up closer to him and said even angrier "DON'T PLAY DUMB WITH ME" "Hild, i only can when i've actually done something, so tell me, what the hell is it i'm supposed to have done?" belldandy was trying to restrain Peorth's father who spat at him "our daughters were raped" Josh's eyes widened in horror...
