he pulled up to the temple and got out, as skuld and the others ran down the steps. belldandy came up to him and asked "did you get them, whomever they were?" he shook his head as he went to the boot of the car, saying "got one of them. Asaan, Dahaka, go and grab Mara. i put a magic blocker on her, so the bitch shouldn't be able to use her powers to attack or escape" "what're you talking about, Mara wasn't involved, she's been with me the whole time" "you sure about that?" "well there was that time that she said she needed a nap" belldandy protested before a voice from the stairs said "what the hell're you doing, let me go" they turned to see Mara being brought down to the group by the Dahaka and the prince "here she is Josh" said the Dahaka before Josh produced two butcher knives from the boot, closed it and said "excellent, now put her hands onto the boot" the Dahaka did that and as quick as a flash, he put one knife in each of her hands. she cried out in pain as he dug the knives in deeper. he let go of the knives and sat down onto the lawn, letting out a collective sigh and looked up to the sky before a silent tear fell from his eye. he saw out of the corner of his eye that belldandy was standing on the temple steps. "what's up belldandy?" he sat up and saw that she had a tray of food. she walked over and sat down next to him, passing him the tray of food and saying "i made you a seperate portion. i'm sorry it's degraded to this" Josh nodded and said "i know" as he took a bite of some of the food. he stood up and said "well, guess i'll be gettin back to the torturin'" he jumped off the ledge and went over to Mara, turning back to say "you might want to leave, these tend to get messy some times" "alright, let me know when it's done" she said as she turned and walked back into the temple. as the radio was on, it began playing "Weak And Powerless" by "A Perfect Circle". he grabbed a black canvas bag from the back seat and brought it out to the back of the car.....
AND NOW WE ARRIVE AT THE TORTURE SCENE......
Josh unrolled the bag, revealing various instruments, both sharp and deadly. suddenly they were shrouded by darkness "where are we?" "somewhere where i can decide wether you live or die" Josh said as two poles erupted from the ground. four chains spewed forth from the poles, chaining Mara to them "let me go!! NOW MORTAL" "nope" was the reply as a bench arose from the shadows. he put the bag onto the bench and went over to Mara, putting on two sets of brass knuckles as a massive mirror appeared behind him, showing what was going on. he stood in front of her, saying "this is the part where i get to have some fun" as he punched her in the stomach "ooof" she cried before he punched her in the face. she spat it out onto the ground, leaving a little bit of blood on her lip. he grabbed hold of her head and head-butted her, saying "how's it feel, huh?" he went back to the bench and removed the knuckles, before he turned to grab a scalpel and went back over to Mara, grabbing one of her fingers. he brought the scalpel down and cut into her ring finger. Mara screamed out in pain, right before he left her with a nasty gash accross her cheek, which immdiately started bleeding. he removed her finger and set it down onto the table. while he was there, he grabbed a bowie knife and inserted it into a sheath, before turning back to Mara. as he approached her, he grabbed the knife and rammed it into her left breast, making her cry out in pain. he took the other knife and made little cuts along her forearms before he rammed the blade into her stomach. he dragged it down, opening her stomach and exposing her organs "now let's see what you don't need" he said as he reached into her stomach, pulling out an oblong organ and saying "nope, don't need that anymore, oh well" he stood up and snapped his fingers, making her physical wounds dissapear as he removed the knife from her breast. "that's all the fun we're gonna have for today. remember Mara, you ever do this shit again, i will fuck you up more than this time. and don't you ever fucking think i wont, bitch. you have no idea as to what i'm capable of when i'm pissed" as the chains unwound from her arms and the poles dissapeared. the shadows dissapeared revealing the night sky. Josh rolled the bag back up as the table and the bag dissapeared "also Mara, tell Mikhail that i'm coming for her" Mara whimpered as she stood up. she nodded and dissapeared.
"Josh" he turned to see Peorth and Urd standing at the steps. a minute of silence passed between the three, before Urd spoke up, saying "Josh, we'd like to apologise to you, we thought it was you that did that to us but we were wrong and for that we apologise" they bowed slowly and Josh let out a laugh, saying "i can't be mad at you two, besides, i probably would've done the same thing if i thought that it was one of you two and not Hild" they both stood back up and Urd said "good point" he opened his arms and they both flew into them "there, there" he said, comforting them as they cried into his chest. "Joshua payne?" he turned to see a young looking woman, she had long pink hair and a maids outfit "you two, inside now" they nodded and ran into the temple, leaving Josh with the strange woman.
