as he finished, a cocoon appeared around her, like joshua's eariler one. he let go of the table and headed back out to the waiting room. they stood up and headed towards him "so what do we do now?" "keiichi stays with belldandy. kami-sama?" "YES?" "i need you to come with me" "ALRIGHT" they headed down the hallway towards an opening shadow portal.
they re-appeared back at the field on the planet of omahsen and kurumi ran up to them saying "joshua, we've awaited your return. what is the next step?" "in one week, earth's military forces will be here to fight alongside you" "alright" "kurumi?" she turned back to him and asked "what is it?" "kurumi, i need you to come with me" "why?" "because with him and the United Nations leader and yourself, we can co-ordinate a strategy" "alright" josh turned and opened yet another shadow portal, before they stepped through it.
they stepped through and stepped out onto the pavement in front of the UN building. the group started walking towards the front doors when they were stopped by a group of ten marines, pointing their M-16 rifles. they lowered them once they realized who he was "marines, i need to speak with the Brigadier" they shouldered their weapons and one said "yes sir, right away. this way" they were led to the UN's recently installed war room. he opened the door and said "Brigadier" the Brigadier was talking with some troops when he turned and said "joshua, how are you?" "i'm fine Brigadier, oh this is kurumi, she is the leader of a group of steel angels that have defected from Mikhail. and this is Kami-Sama, the supreme ruler of heaven" everyone except for josh and kurumi bowed to him. he put his hand out and said softly "MY CHILDREN, THERE IS NO NEED TO BOW TO ME, I AM NOT HERE ON FORMAL TERMS" they all stood up and the Brigadier asked "so what brings you three here?" josh approached him and said "Brigadier, i brought them here so that the three of you could organise an effective strategy to defeat Mikhail" "alright, what do you suggest?" he asked as they moved over to a table, containg a holographic projection of the battlefield of omahsen "Brigadier, the main strategy is to draw her troops out of hell, so that i can have a clear shot at taking Mikhail down. hopefully, she'll be distracted long enough for me to get in and take her out. the three of you can organise the stategy for the main battle at omahsen" "alright" "Brigadier, i need you to met me one hundred clicks into the Los Angeles desert" "why?" he asked quizically before josh replied "i'm going to create the ships that will get your troops to the battlefield. certain angels and such will be piloting the ships, so you don't have to worry about that" "alright, you heard the man, let's move!!" the troops saluted and said "yes sir!!" josh opened a portal in thin air and walked through it once again, stepping out into a bright hot light.
he stepped out of the portal, onto the hot desert sands as the wind picked up around him. a stick materialized in his hand before he stuck it into the sand, drawing a massive shape into the sand. he chanted under his breath before the ground started shaking. the sand parted as a massive metallic block appeared, floating into the sky. it rippled and began taking shape, until it took the form of a proper space ship. the ship floated slowly as it came to rest softly on the ground, with the landing gear down. as it did, josh heard the sound of a helicopter approaching, so he turned to see the Brigadier's helicopter approaching, as well as two presumably escorts. the Brigadiers helicopter landed first, then the escorts. the door opened and the Brigadier stepped out from the helicopter, followed by the marines as he approached josh. he stopped in front of him and asked "so this is the prototype?" josh nodded and said "Brigadier, i'll give you the guided tour?" he nodded and an energy gangplank appeared. they walked up the gangplank and into the 1st access room. "this is one of the access ways, general, if you don't mind" he saw that josh was pointing to a button and said "oh, okay" he pressed the button and the door opened with a hiss. they stepped through the doorway, into a massive hallway so josh turned and motioned to one end of the corridor. josh went first, then the Brigadier as josh led him down the corridor. as they walked down the corridor, josh said "Brigadier, if you agree to it, by days end, you will have twenty ships, enough for about half of the total combined forces of heaven and earth" they approached the bridge door and josh pressed the button on the wall. the door opened to reveal the bridge, as josh and the Brigadier stepped through they stopped and josh asked "so, do you like this ship. i call this one the pillar of autumn" "the pillar of autumn, huh? i like it. now i would like to see how you're planning on getting us onto the planet" josh smiled and said "the dropships huh?, this way" he said as he began walking down the corridor.
they arrived at a massive door, so josh pressed the button, making the door open. they walked down two sets of stairs until they came to the hanger bay. they walked through the massive hold as josh pointed out the dropships, 20 in total, 10 on each side they stopped and the Brigadier said "joshua, you have my consent to build the ships" josh nodded and said "thank you Brigadier. also, Brigadier, gather your troops so that by weeks end, we can be ready to deploy the first fleet of the ships. someone will contact you should mikhail fall" the Brigadier nodded as they headed back out of the ship.
they exited the ship and josh said "Brigadier, hurry with your men. if we should fail, then existence will cease to be" "i know. we shall not fail on our end, just make sure that you don't on your end" josh nodded, so the Brigadier turned and left, along with the marines. a stick materialized in his hand and he said "time to work". during the twilight and night, he was drawing the shape of the ships, giving the blocks shape, placing them and fueling them. when he was done, he collapsed onto his hammock bed, looking up to the sky for a minute before he fell asleep...
he opened his eyes and sat up, just as he heard the sounds of helicopters, tanks, etc. he got out of his makeshift bed just as the Brigadier's helicopter landed. the Brigadier stepped out from the chopper and approached him, as josh asked "this is it?" pointing to the hundreds of thousands of tanks and twenty million troops. the Brigadier nodded and said "yes, this is the largest fleet ever amassed in earth's history" josh nodded as a squadron of f-18 fighter planes flew overhead. they looked up to watch, turned back and josh said "good luck general, let's hope it wont be as ugly as ww1 or 2" the brigadier nodded and said "agreed. good luck, and give that bitch one for me" josh smiled and said "sure mate, farewell" as he waived to the brigadeer, who headed on to the capital ship. half an hour later, after the ships were loaded and the air locks were closed, josh had to cover his eyes as the bright lights of the ships engines almost blinded him. they slowly lifted up off the ground and departed into the atmosphere. josh stood for a minute, watching them leave as he said "good luck" he turned and flew away, into an awaiting shadow portal....
