Symphony of Destruction: part 19 - The End..... or is it?
cue seventh doctor episode opening credits
three months have passed since Joshua fought Mikhail and it's the day of the wedding. it's a warm autumn day and in the temple, in his locked room, joshua was busy fixing up his tie, with the help of mikhail, who was sitting on a cabinet in his room with her arms folded. she looked into the mirror and said "you see, that's how you do it" josh nodded and straightened his tuxedo before he turned to Mikhail and asked "so, how do i look?" she jumped off the cabinet, came up close to him and said "you look beautiful. if i could've, i would be the one marrying you" josh smiled and said "nice to know, thank you Mikhail. now let's go" she nodded and said "sure" they ran out to the limousine and drove away towards the church.
the limousine stopped outside the church and josh opened the door and ran up the steps into the church and said "i'm not late am i?" keiichi turned and smiled, saying "no pal, we're just about ready to begin" they both turned to see various people, like Tamiya and Ootaki enter and sit down, as well as Sayoko Mishima and the rest of the gang from the N.I.T motor club,who waived and cheered. the two guys waived back and then saw rind, kurumi and a few other steel angels as well as Hild, Kofi Annan, the Brigadeer, Motoko Kusanagi and a few other dignatries.
Kofi spotted him and nodded as he sat down. josh spotted out of the corner of his eye a man, so he turned but when he faced them, they had dissapeared. when everybody was seated, the lady at the piano began playing "Here Comes The Bride", so everybody stood up and turned to see the flower girls appear first. josh and keiichi could barely stifle their laughter as they saw that skuld was one of the flowergirls. then their jaws dropped as they saw Belldandy enter, then Peorth, and finally Urd. all three goddesses looked the picture of perfection. as they approached their respective grooms, both keiichi and josh held onto their brides and said "you are very beautiful, even more so than the day i met you" they turned back to the priest, who turned out to be kami-sama.
he looked out to the sea of people and said "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE ARE GATHERED HERE TODAY TO WITNESS THE UNION OF THESE TWO COUPLES. THEY HAVE GONE FROM HARDSHIP TO HARDSHIP, FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH AND AS THEY DID, THEIR LOVE GREW INTO WHAT YOU SEE BEFORE YOU TODAY" josh turned to see Mikhail, she was dressed in a bridesmaid uniform.
she winked at him and he smiled before he turned back just in time for Kami-Sama's next part: "ESPECIALLY YOU JOSHUA PAYNE, EVEN IN THE FACE OF DESPAIR, EVEN AFTER EVIL TRIED TO ENSNARE YOU, EVEN AFTER YOU SUFFERED LOSS AFTER LOSS, YOU ALWAYS REMAINED RESILIANT, NEVER FORGOT YOUR PLACE, YOUR PURPOSE. AND FOR THAT, I AM PROUD TO MARRY HIM, I PRAY THAT THEY GIVE EACH OTHER YEARS OF COUNTLESS JOYS. NOW, JOSHUA PAYNE, KEIICHI MORISATO, DO YOU BOTH TAKE THESE WOMEN TO BE YOUR LAWFUL WEDDED WIVES, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH, TILL DEATH DO YOU PART?"
They nodded and said "i do" "NOW PEORTH, GODDESS OF FOREVER AND THE ROSES, AND URD, NORN OF THE PAST, DO YOU BOTH TAKE JOSHUA PAYNE TO BE YOUR LAWFUL WEDDED HUSBAND, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH, TILL DEATH DO YOU PART?"
They both nodded and he said "BELLDANDY, NORN OF THE FUTURE, DO YOU TAKE THIS MAN, KEIICHI MORISATO TO BE YOUR LAWFUL WEDDED HUSBAND, ALSO TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH, TILL DEATH DO YOU PART?" she looked to keiichi for a second before she turned back and said sternly "yes, i do" he turned back to the others and said "IF ANYONE HAS ANY REASON AS TO WHY THESE COUPLES SHOULD NOT BE WED, SPEEK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE" a minute passed before the church doors opened and they heard "I OBJECT"
they turned to see various gang memebers enter the church and stand at the back of the hall. Kami-Sama saw this and asked "SPEAK MY SON, WHAT IS THE REASON?" a gang member took a couple of steps forward, as josh recognised who it was and they said "well, we couldn't let our boy get married without his friends being present" josh smiled and said "thanks guys" B-Box smiled and said "think nuttin of it dawg, that them?" he turned to peorth and urd and said "yep" B-Box smiled and said "you ladies got yourselves a good man there. we're proud to have you with us" josh nodded, turned to kami-sama and said "you can continue" Kami-sama nodded and said "NOW BY THE POWER VESTED IN ME BY ME, I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU HUSBAND AND WIFE AND HUSBAND AND WIVES, YOU MAY NOW KISS THE BRIDES" keiichi nodded, turned to belldandy and lifted her veil before he kissed her. josh had a little trouble trying to decide, but he decided to lift Urd's veil up first, then Peorth's and kissed them both on the lips, urd first then peorth.
they turned to the crowd and kami-sama spoke up saying "i present to you now, mr keiichi morisato and mrs belldandy morisato. and i also present Mister Joshua Payne, Mrs Peorth Payne and Mrs Urd Payne" every row stood up and applauded, including Kofi Annan and even Peorth's father. Mikhail walked over to josh and said "joshua, good luck on your wedding night" josh nodded and said "thanks Mikhail" she nodded and walked away from him. he turned to see his new blushing brides "hey you two" they turned to face him and he asked "you guys ready to go?" they nodded, so he turned to keiichi and asked "you guys ready?" they nodded, so they ran down the steps and then down the isle, laughing as the group ran.
they ran down the church steps and stopped when they saw B-box and the 49ers. josh let go of their hands and walked up to him. b-box smiled and said "man, take the viper, it's yours. think of it as a wedding present. you can pick it up after the reception" B-Box smiled, which in turn made josh smile so they hugged and B-box said "dog, look after yourself and them, alright?" they sperated and he said "sure man, you know i will. come on you lot" he said as he turned to the others and waived to them. josh grabbed Peorth and Urd's hands and they went into the awaiting limo, which drove away.
later, at the reception, the party was well under way. peorth and urd were sitting on either sides of their new husband. the crowd was mingling, Skuld was talking to some people about something, and B-box and the 49ers were talking with various other people. the hall was massive, in the middle was a big chandelier, huge in size. urd leant over to josh and said "looks like your friends are having fun" josh nodded as a waiter placed a plate down in front of him. he grabbed the knife and fork as they dug in. afterwards, kami-sama stood in the middle of the dancefloor with a microphone and said "I'D LIKE TO INVITE THE TWO COUPLES DOWN TO THE FLOOR FOR A WALTZ" The crowd roared into applause as they walked down onto the dancefloor.
later, after the reception, the party was emptying, so josh and the two goddesses went out to the front and met B-Box who in turn, gave them the keys to the dodge. they climbed into the car and drove straight to the air port.
when they parked outside the main doors of the airport, they got out of the car and hild, who was waiting at the airport with Kami-sama, approached josh. he turned and said "Hild, you don't mind looking after this car, do you?" she nodded and said "go, go on. i'll look after it for you. now go on you crazy kids. keiichi and belldandy have already gotten on their plane, so where you guys going?" josh smiled and said "i was thinking of new zealand, i heard it's pretty good this time of year" she hugged him and said "alright, you take care now, you hear?" he nodded and held Peorth and Urd's hands as they walked through the airport, until they came to the air new zealand counter and bought three tickets and got onto the plane, which took off shortly afterwards
A shadowed figure stood on a road behind the airport and watched the plane leave. they were hidden by the night so you couldn't see who it was. they pulled out what appeared to be a phone and said "it is going according to the plan. mister payne will come to us and HE will die"

well, thanks for reading the first part of my planned series.
the name of the story is actually taken from a phrase i made. the full saying is "The Past Is Present, The Present Past, The Future Is Gone; death will come"
it took me just over a month to make and a couple of months to re-do, but it was a labour of love.
i own none of the characters that i used in the story, or places, or references to songs or people except for josh. they're all owned by who they should be.
the official name i have for this series is "Voice Of The Voiceless", it's a song by the band Rage Against The Machine.
the character Joshua Payne is me, i've just changed a few facts, changed a few things about his future, but the character and his past is essentialy, me.
Now, i haven't got much else to say, 'cept to keep an eye out for the sequel on FF.net or mediaminer.org, the title is "The Present Past".
that is the second part of my phrase i mentioned earlier
well, i suppose you'll be expecting some omakes, but i'll have to get back to it eventually
