Kyo had never seen a storm this bad. Outside the wind and rain poured down hard onto the house and surrounding trees, making a thunderous noise. Kyo gave a yawn and sat back against the wall of his bedroom. How he hated the rain, it always made him so tired. All he wanted to do was drift off to sleep and forget about the damn storm. But tonight, it seemed sleep would not come. Kyo murmured a curse as he shakily stood up and went to his door. Maybe he needed to take a walk, and then he could sleep.

As he stepped outside the rain and wind hit him at full force. Kyo staggered back against the pull, but he continued to walk around the perimeter of the house. "Man, what is with this storm?" Kyo said to himself. It had been a perfect morning, a nice clear day. That rat had gone of to his garden, Shigure had been off doing something dumb, and Tohru.... Kyo stopped dead as he stared off toward the end of the house. Standing there, clad in a dark coat, was a figure with. No. No it couldn't be. Why in the world would Tohru be out here in this weather, and standing with that stranger as if she knew him?

"Tohru!" Kyo shouted over the storm. Tohru swiveled around to look at him, her eyes filled with complete terror. This made Kyo even more surprised. What the hell was going on? The figure turned around to look at Kyo, still shrouded in darkness. With a quick movement he was gone, like a leaf in the wind. "Kyo," Tohru said shakily, her long hair whipping around in the wind. "Kyo, what are you doing out here. I thought you were asleep, I-"

"Who the hell was that guy?" Kyo shouted, racing up to Tohru, staring at her wide eye. "Why the hell was he here? What happened? Are you okay?" He was babbling now. The look on Tohru's face was sending shivers down hid spine. She looked as if she was going to turn and run away. Her whole body was shaking, and Kyo thought she was about to cry.

"Oh Kyo." She said in a whisper. "Oh-oh Kyo, I am so sorry." Then she completely broke down. Bursting into tears she raced at Kyo and hugged him with all her might. There was a bang, and Kyo, in his cat form, sat rapped in Tohru's arms as she sobbed. "Man, oh man what the hell is wrong." Kyo asked weakly as Tohru hugged him tighter. But all Tohru did was cry harder. Great tears fell on Kyo's face, mixing with the rain. "Miss Honda?"

Kyo and Tohru looked up to see Yuki standing in the doorway, all look of shock and confusion on his face. "Miss Honda, is something wrong? What happened?" Now Tohru had completely lost it. Leaving Kyo on the porch, she raced past Yuki into the house, sobbing all the way. A few minutes later they heard a slam as Tohru shut her door. Yuki rounded on Kyo, rage building in his eyes. "What did you do to Miss Honda?" He said menacingly. "What did you do?"

"I didn't do anything." Kyo shouted loudly. "Listen I came out here and..."

Far off into the forest, the black figure landed lightly in a small clearing. He straightened up and looked back at the way he came, his face still hidden by the large hood. "Pity, she does not deserve this." The figure turned to see a small child walking out of the forest. The kid's hair was a dark brown, matching his hazel eyes. He stood there for a moment, clad in a white robe. "You fool." He said softly, his eyes locked on the figure. "I told you not to be seen. It is bad enough he is coming, but now it is in our sisters hands to tell them."

"We knew it would end up like this." The man said, throwing off his hood to stare at the child. He looked a lot like the kid, except in his teens. His hair was a much darker brown, and his eyes were a deep blue. "Tohru can do it. She must." The boy nodded, slowly turning to walk back into the forest. "I want you to keep an eye on that house." The small boy said loudly as he walked away. "If things go wrong, I want you to step in." The teen nodded, and disappeared in a gust of wind
