Chapter 2: Sempai and the underclassman? What about Aburatsubo???

---------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------

Takakura-sempai? Wake up, Sempai…

Takakura's eyes slid open to see Sawanoguchi. Huh? Oh no! I must've fallen asleep! Great・How am I, the leader of the Magic User's Club supposed to explain this??? He sat up, quickly, closing the book he'd been using as a pillow, and turned to Sawanoguchi.

"Sawanoguchi? What are you doing here? It's late, you should be at home!" Takakura said quickly, tripping over his own words.

"But, Sempai, I just wanted to see you," She said, leaning closer to him. Takakura blushed, and leaned back against his chair. "Takeo-kun…" Sae went on, leaning closer to him. Takakura had no room to escape. He smiled a bit, still blushing.

"Sawanoguchi-kun,"・he said quietly. He was straining not to take her in his arms, not to touch her. She was so close to him, he could smell the scent of her hair, feel her skin about to touch his. "I'm just reading, that's all. You needn't stay, unless you… Umm… really want to, that is." What am I doing?! As leader of the Magic User's Club, I shouldn't be doing this! I am her mentor! Not her--

Sae lowered herself forward onto the chair, her hands coming to rest on his waist Takakura kept fighting against his instincts and desires, repeating a mantra in his head: I am the teacher, she is the student. I am her teacher, she is my student…

"Takeo-kun, kiss me!!" Sae begged. Takakura's face now turned brighter than Sae's uniform. She was leaning closer to him, her eyes closed, her lips about to meet his.

He realized he had no choice but to … but to close his eyes and accept fate.

Sae's lips met his own in a sweet, loving kiss. It was in the same way that he had been kissed earlier that day. Takakura placed his hands on Sawanoguchi's back, pulling her closer to him. He slid his tongue into her mouth slowly, waiting for Sae to do the same. She accepted his offer, and her hands traced their way up his back, her nails drawing little circles along the way, sending shivers through him.

He felt Sae climb up onto the chair, kneeling over his lap. They kissed passionately, unrestrained by fear of being caught -- No one else was at the school. Takeo's hands wandered around to the front of her uniform, his hands feeling the sides of her slender body. She kissed him more resolutely now, a reaction from his touch. He placed his hands on her stomach, and slowly moved upward.

Something wasn't right.

His hands continued upward, over a flat, masculine chest. He stopped for a moment, and opened one eye, to see a green eye looking back at him. Takakura screamed, shaking his head.

"But Takeo-kun…" Ayanojyo's voice echoed in his mind.

*~*~*

Sawanoguchi looked to Takakura confusedly.

He had appeared to be sleeping when she had arrived, so she shook him gently. Takakura-Sempai had then started moaning in his sleep, and then screamed and sat straight up.

"Takakura-sempai!" Sae immediately apologized, bowing low. "I apologize for disturbing your study, sempai!"

Takakura looked to Sawanoguchi, who was still bowing humbly, and looking at the floor. She was wearing her normal school uniform this time, and stood far away from him.

So it was… it was all a dream? Takakura wondered. He saw that Sawanoguchi hadn't moved yet. He jumped to his feet.

"I`m very sorry, Sawanoguchi-san! It's alright, I… errr… You just appeared so unexpectedly, that's all!"・He glanced at the clock on the other side of the darkened partition. "It's already 8 o'clock!?"

"Yeah," Sae replied. "I didn't expect anyone to be here. I … Err… I just?" She blushed, looking down at her feet again.? "I forgot my schoolbag here. It's underneath the table." She pointed to where her bag lay. Takakura sighed in relief.

"Oh! Allow me to get it for you!" He crawled under the table and grabbed her bag. He turned to crawl back out, and hit his head on the underside of the table. Ow!・Phew… Well, at least this time I know I'm not dreaming.

"Oh, Takakura-sempai! Are you alright?" Sae asked, running over to the desk. He hurried out from underneath the table.

"Yes, yes, never fear, I'm alright!・He crawled out from underneath the table, to see Sawanoguchi standing right here. Instinctively, before he realized what he was doing, he looked up, which happened to be right up her skirt. Both of them turned an obscene shade of red. Takakura looked down at the floor, his face on fire.

" I'm sorry!" They both started, then looked at each other again. Takakura stood up slowly, and handed Sae her schoolbag.

"I`m sorry," he said, his face still burning. "Here you go, Sawanoguchi."

"It's…It's alright." She smiled. "Thank you for getting that for me." She noticed the growing lump on his head. "My goodness! Are you alright? That knot on your head looks like it really hurts."

"Oh, I'm fine!" Takakura said. Sae ran her fingers through his hair, and touched the lump on his head. Takakura, who had just about gotten over the skirt incident, was again set to blushing furiously over her touching him.

"You really ought to bandage that, sempai," she suggested. She took her hand away, sliding her hand down the back of his neck. He felt a shiver run through him at her touch.

"Yeah, I think I will when I get home. I don't have anything here to bandage it up with." Takakura looked to the dustpan sitting in the middle of the floor, and the small brush sitting next to it. The room had been a total wreck before he'd cleaned up. Another meeting gone wrong. They were supposed to fold origami. Instead, all of the paper seemed to be scattered on the floor like confetti. He couldn't concentrate at all, which seemed to be the reason for their misfortune.

Takakura looked down. "I'll walk you home. Just let me turn off the lights," Takakura said, turning away from her.

"Okay, I'll wait out in the hall!" Sae said, and walked into the hallway, sliding the door shut behind her.

As he put the Grimiore back on the altar, and put out the candles, he began thinking about his dream he'd had. Yes, it had started out about Sawanoguchi, but it had become something horribly different. I was・ fantasizing about Aburatsubo? He asked himself. No, that wasn't a fantasy about him?he told himself quickly--・That was him ruining everything!Aburatsubo He felt the heat returning to his face. Why did I give in to your stupid games? He couldn't come up with an answer.

He picked up his schoolbag from the floor, and left to join Sawanoguchi in the hallway. However, she wasn't there. He looked frantically back and forth, before he found her. He saw out the window that she was standing by the gates of the school, looking up at the sky.

The sun had just set, and the sky was starting to fill up with stars. Takakura headed outside, and let the door to the school close quietly. He walked soundlessly to stand behind her. She continued gazing upwards at the sky, which was becoming darker every moment, but being balanced with pinpoints of light.

Slowly, he placed his hand on her shoulder, and watched her smile. Sae looked to Takakura, a slight blush crossing her face. He smiled slowly as well, and walked up next to her, taking her hand in his own, and looking up with her.

The two stood there for a long while, watching the sky, before heading home.
