"They are gathering their forces as I speak."

Yohji waved his hand dismissively.

"Not surprising since they are already terrorizing the human world. The Lesser immortals are starting to have trouble defending their assigned sanctuaries." He lent against a wall of the dimlit room.

"What else have you found out Arushii?" Hotohori's deep velvet voice travelled through the secret room.

"The Gathering's tonight, likewise our High Council, apart from that nothing else Hotohori-sama." She replied gravely.

"Good work." The young emperor stared at her strangely.

"Arushii....your not getting yourself too involved with him are you? We can call it off if you want to, I don't want my fellow immortals to fall into the darkness because of a stupid mission." Hotohori said quietly, his golden eyes showed his pity for the Goddess.

Arushii laughed weakly as she flopped on a chair unceremonially.

"Thank you for your thoughts Hotohori; I'm only doing this for Edifice and the mortal world. My emotions have no part of play in this. "She said in a stony voice.

Hotohori nodded.

"Wise decision Goddess of Discord. I take my leave now." He shimmered leaving his companions.

A stench of silence settled between Yohji and Arushii.

"You're infatuated with him aren't you?" he ran his hand through his honey locks, observing Arushii with his emerald eyes.

Arushii whirled around, crimson eyes darkened with anger

"Since when are you the High Judge? As I said my emotions are not in this game Kudou." She snapped.

"Soo des ka Arushii?" a smirk appeared on his lips.

"Bakayarou." She hissed like an angry feline.

Yohji rubbed his temples in frustration.

"I know him better than I would have liked, he's dangerous and unpredictable." His voice carried sorrow and regret, his green eyes haunted by the uprising memories that were too painful lock away in the abyss.

"Keep in mind no matter what happens now; you would soon face each other in battle. Make sure you're not the one to fall Goddess of Discord." With that the lanky god shimmered away leaving Arushii in deep thoughts.

An image of lengthy orange locks and mocking jade eyes invaded her mind causing her to shudder unintentionally.

`Mastermind.'

While the Council of the Gods commenced the Angels and Lesser Gods waited anxiously in the quieter parts of the Keep.

Lushes indoor gardens bloomed in variety shades of colour, exotic climbing plants dangled its precious flowers from tall marble columns, while beautiful ferns unfurled their leaves acting like makeshift curtains.

Fountains trickled gently providing a calm and peaceful environment.

Nataku sat down gracefully next to the edge of the main fountain, folding his snow-grey wings neatly behind him. He stared unblinking into the calm serene pool of water, listening to the gentle trickle of the sculptured fountain.

Gentle footsteps approached the enchanted area.

"How have you been Nataku?" the High Priestess, Sentinel of the Keep approached the pondering angel.

The Angel of Sympathy inclined his head in respect of the priestess as she moved towards him.

"High Priestess Arashi."

Arashi smiled, but a tinge of sadness touched her midnight purple eyes.

`How can anyone so detached and aloof but to be named Sympathy?' she shook herself mentally and locked her thoughts away in the abyss.

"Priestess, what do you think of the situation." Kaede spoke up from his peaceful spot. Arashi turned to face him her white robe swished around her feet, causing bells attached to her garment to jingle softly. A soft smile appeared on her lips.

"What I think is not important Kaede-san. It is what you feel deep inside. Most of the time we act on behalf of our emotions not out mind." She continued. Her midnight purple eyes containing unspoken secrets and immense wisdom bored into Kaede's.

"Don't be so grave Kaede. Better times are coming."

The silvered haired angel sighed, the presence of Arashi calmed him, making him forget about his troubles and worries.

The High Priestess bowed her head.

"I must take my leave now my fellow immortals. May the light be with you even in the darkest places." Arashi left soundlessly as she came, like a whisper in the wind.

Waiting for the High Priestess to be out of ear-shot another occupant of the room spoke.

"The worst thing that could happen is going to war with Sethanon, but that is predictable." Kakyo the Dreamseer spoke up, stretching his frosty white wings, hooking stray strands of icy blonde hair behind his ears.

"Kakyo. That isn't the worst thing that could happen." Kaede's haunted blue eyes looked at his companion.

"We both see distant futures. I'm sure what I see and you see won't vary that much." Kaede half-heartedly smirked.

Silenced was sinking in when a sudden beat of wings and rush of air Satoshi entered the serene garden, like a whirlwind storm bringing chaos and destruction to a calm sea side town. She snapped her wings close with irritation.

"You seem to be faring better." Kaede smirked before flashing her a charming smile.

"Don't go around sparking fires, or next thing you know you've got a firestorm chasing after you." Kakyo stretched his wings, yawning as he did.

Sable green eyes glanced at them briefly, acknowledging the newcomer then Nataku continued to gaze into his pool.

"The council was shambles. The High Celestials want the Immortals to leave Sethanon. They say since their purpose is still not known, there is no point of readying our selves for war." The angel of Silence focused all her frustration and anger into a bolt of power and hurled it into the fountain, causing a spectacular display.

"Who told you that?! That's just ludicrous!"

"Apparently Yohji told me that this decision caused an uproar between the Gods and the High Celestials, one side wants war, the other wants to sit it out. According to the Celestials the vicious attacks Sethanon had made to the mortal world is still not convincing enough." She spat, her eyes faded to a colour deeper than black.

"That's a mistake. We foresaw a war, it's unavoidable." Kakyo's eyes iced over.

A spot of air in front of Kaede began to shimmer, and then it revealed to be Aya the God of Revenge and Arushii directly after him. Still clothed in the formal clothes from the council, these two can by pass as High Celestials themselves.

"Those snivelling snot nose breast suckling weaners!!!" Arushii cursed aloud as another spectacular display was made in the fountain.

Aya strode away, one look in his eyes and you would know he's pushed to the killing edge.

"Nataku, Kaede come with me."

Kaede looked at Nataku in confusion.

"Where you heading off?"

The red head god turned to face them and narrowed his violet eyes, he voice intertwined with poison as each word dropped in their minds.

"To war."
