Christmas on Monster Island

(Author's Notes: Hi, everyone! Christmas Eve is here, and it's going to be a blast! All of my family members are coming over, and I'm stoked!

Darien: We here at Monster Island wish to ALL of you out there a wonderful and unforgettable Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for being with us!

DJ: This is not the end, mind you. ^_^ But, you all know how I am. Also, I would like to apologize to any of you who have different religious beliefs. I respect them and you for following them.

Now, on with the fanfic!)

Chapter 8

The days passed by quickly for the people on Monster Island, all of them filled with warmth, fun, love… and the occasional weirdness that came to be thanks to certain Ultra Warrior. But still, he and his partner made sure that everyone had a good time. Now, the big day had arrived!

It was December 24th, 2004. It was now Christmas Eve.

At the very moment, everyone was in the living room, watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas. DJ was in the kitchen, preparing a LARGE Christmas breakfast. Pancakes, sausage patties, bacon, orange juice, fruit, coffee, milk, the whole works! He was going all out on this meal.

"DJ, any changes to the surprise you are going to show everyone when the evening comes?", Darien asked as he scrambled some eggs in a frying pan.

DJ poured some pancake batter on the griddle and answered, "Nope. Everything is going to be on time, and I hope also perfect as well.".

As soon as the food was done, he set them down on trays of pure gold. He then carried them out to his hungry guests and started to serve them. DJ and Darien didn't mind serving them, as long as it came from the heart.

Soon, the billions of people ate to their heart's content. They ate while watching the movie, feeling like royalty. They thanked DJ and his partner for the food, chowing down while watching the Grinch going crazy at the Whobilation.

"Wow! This is great, DJ! Thanks!", Delia commented as she ate some of the paper-thin, extremely buttery pancakes.

"You're welcome, milady. My grandma taught me how to make those pancakes, and I'm glad you like it.", he replied with a smile. His grandma's pancakes were legendary to him; no one else could replicate it, although he tried over and over again.

The whole company was warm, cozy, full, and also full of laughter as they saw the Grinch spinning around wildly in his makeshift sleigh as he flew down to Whoville.

~After the movie~

When the movie was complete, everyone went outside to play. DJ was at the edge of the Godzilla Ocean, very much impressed on how the water was now frozen, thus perfect for ice-skating. He sat down on the snowy ground, put on some skates, and actually tried skating for the first time! He fell down on his butt 2.5 seconds after sliding onto the frozen ocean.

"Sorry, first time skating.", he admitted with grinning/blushing in embarrassment as the others laughed on. Pretty soon, most of the company took their chance and skated out there with the best of their abilities.

Lady D and Brittany seemed to be doing quite well, both doing figure-eights and also some 180º spins. Aqua Spirit (Duel Monster) seemed to fly over the ice, becoming a graceful and professional skater.

Delia and Deimos seemed to have things under control too, although they nearly lost their balance when Mike and Shobu raced past them. The two boys were just whooping it up, having fun. Two other arrivals, R.G. Wolfblade and his little sister Julie, also played with the whooping duo.

DJ was about to try again, when a gentle hand came on his shoulder. He looked to see that it was Marlene, his girlfriend! But… he did not pick her up when she did not answer the invitations.

Darien, with his little partner Hinako, skated to them and explained, "I brought her here. She answered the letter late, saying she had other stuff to do. So, I brought her here early this morning. I wanted to surprise you.".

Marlene kissed DJ on the cheek and stated, "Come on, let me show you how to skate, DJ-chan!". She then pulled him onto the ice and she instructed the young man on how to skate properly.

"Hehehehe… those two make a great couple.", Darien chuckled to his partner before skating off.

Meira and Erika were skating with Yami, Jacquelyn was with little Medlia as she taught the daughter of Link of Hyrule to skate for the first time. Shane and DMG were busy trying to get Kiyone and her daughter onto the ice as well, but it seemed that the lovely duo did not want to fall on their rear ends like Ultra Warrior did.

"So, what is this surprise I keep hearing about, sweetie?", Marlene asked as she and DJ spun around rapidly.

The little hero smiled and answered, "You'll see for yourself tonight. Just be patient, my little pet.".

Just then, a song came on over the snow. It was Faith Hill, and the song was Where Are You Christmas? from the movie How The Grinch Stole Christmas. As soon as the song came on, the people moved to the music. It moved the skaters, and also moving the ones that just stayed on the sidelines to watch.

DJ got off the ice, onto the snow, and seemed to just sway to and fro to the melody and tunes. When the music and song started to rise higher, he suddenly started to glow in a golden light! His body slowly vanished in the light, and becoming the bright illumination.

When the music reached its crescendo, the light flew off rapidly! It swirled all over everyone, seeming to represent the spirit of Christmas somewhat. It swirled all over couples, friends, family, loved ones, everyone! It then flew all over the island, spreading its warm glow and touch to every square inch of the former tropical paradise.

When the song slowly started to die down, the light settled back down in front of the surprised group. Slowly, DJ came back in human form. The golden light slowly faded away, then disappeared when the song ended.

The surprised group stared at the small wonder, as he opened his eyes and looked at them all. He then showed a soft, warm smile and said, "Merry Christmas.".

~At 7:00 p.m.~

Nighttime was now here, and the party inside the mansion was cranking up! All day, after the skating, they played in the snow, watched movies, ate like royalty, and danced to some good music. Now, the time had come! It was time to open the presents!

All were gathered at the base of the Christmas tree, the presents sprawled under it and ready to be opened. Some were large, some small. Gift-wrapped elegantly, some crudely. All in all, it seemed that everyone was getting a present or two tonight. For the ones that did not experience a true Christmas… it was going to be a night never to be forgotten.

DJ came in, wearing a Santa hat. Darien was beside him, dressed like an elf. Both were grinning, seeing the children come up to them and begging to be the first ones to open the presents.

"Ho! Ho! Ho! Be patient, my good little ones!", DJ guffawed in a jolly voice. It was good, considering he was in a child's body too.

The little hero and his partner went to the base of the tree, and waved to all. Then, DJ took out a microphone and called out, "Tonight is the night! Tonight… I SHOW YOU MY SURPRISE!!!".

A knock was heard at the massive double door that was the mansion's entrance. DJ smiled and called out, "Please, come in. You all are very honored guests here in my home.".

The door opened slowly, and in stepped in man in his mind-30's, or so he looked. He had medium-brown hair, cut at shoulder blade. His eyes were the purest of brown, shining with an unusual quality. He wore a simple white robe, a golden rope acting like a belt around his waist. He wore simple sandals, which gave him a homely look.

To his left was a woman in her mid-to-late 40's, wore a white hood that covered her hair, and wore a simple attire. Beside her was a man, presumably her husband. He was about the same age as her, had slightly grayed hair, and also had eyes that showed wisdom, warmth, and also truth.

"Hello, DJ. Thank you for letting us into your home.", the young adult told the small hero.

"DJ, who are they?", Shane inquired.

DJ smiled, then bowed down to the three. Darien followed suit, which quite surprised and puzzled the rest. DJ then answered, "These are my friends… and he is my Lord. Everyone, please welcome the guests of honor. Meet Jesus Christ, and his parents Mary and Joseph.".

Darien added, "Today is Jesus' birthday, and we asked him to come over. He wanted to see everyone that DJ made friends with. He wanted to join us on this special day.".

The reaction was quite mixed, the common thing around was shocked. The One… the Lord… the Savior… was here in the flesh. Standing before them all, smiling. His parents were too, smiling at the shocked looks on all.

DJ then rose and inquired, "Do you want to pass out the presents, my Lord?".

Jesus answered, "I do. But first, some people came with me. They wanted to be with their loved ones here tonight and tomorrow.".

He gestured with his hand towards the open door behind him… and in came some people that seemed oddly familiar. Then, it hit him! They were people that were once dead, now brought back to life! Loved ones that either passed on or were taken by an accident of any sort, were alive once again!

Jesus smiled and stated clearly, "Let this be my gift to all of you who has lost a loved one, and wanted them to be with you on this day.".

(Author's Notes: Well, that was it! The big surprise! Jesus Christ has come into my home, and greeted all! So, how does it feel to see him face-to-face? Also… ^_^ how does it feel to be reunited with a person that you loved dearly?

Darien: DJ is a Christian, and he thought it best to bring Jesus in. After all, it was him that started Christmas in the first place. So, everyone, tell us now.

DJ: How does it feel to see Him? What do you say or do towards Jesus?

Again, to all of us here on Monster Island… MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
